A reader says we won't go down if we lose to the villains because were to good.
Tell u wot though losing is a bad habit.
I remember a certain David O'leary ex Leeds United manager say the same but look where they are now.

No chance mate. I am the most negative poster on here and even I don't think there is a cat in hells chance of us going down.

We are terrible, but we aren't as bad as most teams in the league.

Mike we are not going down if we lose to Villa r you lot need to get a grip giving up already, yes I'm disappointed with our start aswell but I'm confident Martinez will put it right we are far too good to go down and I will bet my house on it. Everybody is entitled to there opinion but I swear I have read so much garbage in the last few days on this site it's frightening yes it's a bad start, mid table is the lowest we will finish but all this talk about going down and you call Kopites deluded ffs get a grip lads please.

Well said Stef. As you say we've been in far worse positions than this. I was at Goodison when we played Coventry on new years eve 1983 in front of a measly 8,000 fans and then booed them off at the final whistle. 5 months later the fa cup was in the bag and we went on to our best ever spell, beating anyone who we came up against. That team that played on 31 December 1983 was basically the same team that went on to win everything over the next few years. Wins bring confidence, confidence breeds confidence, so instead of bleating like hormonal koppites get behind the team and give them the support they need.

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on Stef. You know me by know. My tongue was firmly in my cheek when I made that comment.

We won't go down mainly on the basis that no matter how terrible we are, the amount of crap in the league makes it almost impossible.

Just heard a bit of good news.

Apparently we are removing that smug Martinez mural from the side of the ground and replacing it with one of three 'legends'. Not sure who though.

Anyone else heard this?

Saw a post saying luke garbutt isn't good enough, really? Weve reached that stage when we are judging players without ever seeing them play, honestly just do it earlier, if they are not first team regulars by thr age of 12 then cut them loose, don't bother bringing through youth players anymore, jesus christ lads, i'm still annoyed at the palace loss, haven't even come to terms with the rest yet, I very unhappy and scared for our future but saying someone isn't good enough when they have 2 very good players in their position fighting for places is just silly, what's he done wrong

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He has done nothing wrong Swan. Of all the payers you could have a go at (and there are a lot) picking on Garbutt is daft.

In fact I think we should get a new shiny mural put up of him on the side of the ground, just underneath Roberto's smuggy looking one.

Swan, sadly some people are only happy when things are going wrong. We have some really good youngsters coming through of which Garbutt is on. The lads a natural successor to Bainsey mate. The greater challenge will be keeping them. But hey let's just keep slagging them off cause as Mike says we don't win anything. Wrong, they won my heart years ago. If you want guaranteed wins be a transient supporter, there's plenty out there.

Now Stones is out too and minor op for Oviedo think it's time to vet 100% behind whoever is selected to play.

Swan you little rascal, I saw somebody tweet that at the weekend ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Swan maybe just maybe Browning may be selected along side Jags In central defence or Silvan may make a return we just don't know? if it is Alcaraz ans Jags then I may just ask my neighbour if she has any spare Watford tickets for next seasons match

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with Swan and sa90. If we lose to Villa then we are going down.

I want to go to that Watford game as well, so if anyone does have any spares let me know.

If we lose to Villa we are going down? Get a grip lads, still plenty of points to play for between now and next May. If the players showed the same defeatist attitude then you would be the first to slate them for it. Have a bit of faith, we have been in worse positions than this during my time supporting the blues. We WILL turn the corner

Mate I like your positive attitude and at a live match it is very much a plus!

We all love the fans who never say die they are the rock that our club was surely built on, and perhaps why we are here today sitting comfortably discussing our beloved Blues.

However there comes a time when we must get honest and realistic and look at the teams we are yet to play in the PL,

e.g. who we should be beating and/or drawing with from this time on without injuries or suspensions figuring, simply looking at the squad available and assessing truthfully to ourselves whether or not we stand a chance of a result.

Then the pattern (i.e. your corner) will reveal itself quicker than we might think!

247,
Do you agree then, if being both honest and realistic, that we will be fine come the end of the season? There are plenty of points to win before then and, if RM can get us firing again, we will be playing better football than we have thus far.
I totally agree that it is on a game per game basis but that's true for the opposition too. All teams get injuries and suspensions, it's up to the other to capitalise on these things.
I'm just a bit fed up of the negativity on this site at times. We all have a right to an opinion but at least be adult about the way it is expressed, some people on here amaze me! They seem to thrive when things aren't going so well, sad as it seems. If we only had a handful of games left then I would share their concerns. But we have only played 7 games so far! Nobody gets relegated after 7 games, no matter what the doom mongers say.

Sorry about the delay btw

Firstly yes there are many games to play with many points to gain from them!

However they are in the future and writing them off before we have played them is not what a true fan would do!

Nor should any of us regard them as 'in the bag' before we have played them that's just crazy!

What we can do is look at every individual game either pre match or post match and weigh up the odds e.g their form as well as our form etc.

Personally I prefer a retrospective assessment
So if we are losing to teams that on paper don't look as good as us I want to question the management team and their approach .

If we start losing games or even just dropping points on a regular basis when true popular consent amongst ourselves says we should have done better what do we?

This isn't Wigan (no disrespect) we should shout it from the roof tops if need be!

But not yet mate

Not yet .

No worries Blue. Couldn't agree more mate, we may be having a mini crisis of confidence but there is no need to panic. For the time being at least :)
