Here's a tough question. Who would you rather buy if you had the choice, Pienaar or Donovan. I thinkDonovan would just edge it for me.
Blue kaz {Ed025's Note - peanuts for me kaz..

Believable1 Unbelievable5

Peanuts all day for me mate, i like donovan, but i said when we sold peanut we would miss him more than arteta, i dont thin many if any would argue that has proved to be the case

Agree0 Disagree0

Same money? have to be donovan

bbb

Agree0 Disagree0

Peanuts for me by the smallest margin imaginable, would be in dreamworld if we got both though.

Just imagine that guys and also not selling anyone, could win the league lol

Degsybaldy

Agree0 Disagree0

What a tough one that is! Probably Pienaar JUST! Donovan is a class act and offers a lot to the team but Pienaar would just edge it for me.

From the two matches today the player that stood out was Alan dzagoev (the guy who scored two goals for Russia). He plays for cksa Moscow, is 21 years old and is a CAM who can play RM. wouldn't mind him at everton eh lads.
Blue kaz {Ed025's Note - his price has just trebled kaz..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Am i the only Evertonian left that doesn't want Rodwell to leave? I'm trying to make up my mind who gets the most stick between him and Victor Anichebe, why do Everton fans have to have a whipping boy? it's been going on for years and i can actually remember Graeme Sharp getting slaughtered when he was starting off. How are they meant to perform at the highest standards when the crowd are getting on their backs? Get behind the team and if Moyes picks them, then they're good enough for me. (Andy The Chef) {Ed025's Note - your right andy..

Believable13 Unbelievable3

Good post that mate,totally agree

Westy

Agree0 Disagree0

No mate. I like Rodwell i just think he needs a FULL season with no injurys and a good run in the team he has all the ability to play anywhere in the team Defensive mid, Attacking mid, even centre back he just needs to step up

Agree0 Disagree0

Well I cant believe that jelavic fella gets a game i mean what does he do other than score loads of goals what a waste of money we could have used that money to buy better half time pies im so annoyed about it sack the board sack the manager

ToffeeAL ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

If jags has a good euros i would sell him(thats if we have to sell anyone)then we could give rodwell a few games next year at center half to see if hes up to being a defender so the year after he can replace distan and the funds from the sale of jags could go to pienaar or whoever moyes is after

Agree0 Disagree0

So mucha is good? Coz he gt picked by moyes

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry I would like Roswell to succeed but the reality is apart from being naturally athletic he is not physical enough to make a good ch. he also lacks the one thing which all great midfielders need - to make himself available/ to want the ball. I have watched him carefully, focusing on his movement and it is amazing just how much he gets into positions to AVOID getting the ball.
It's not about avoiding criticism it's great that a site like this exists that we can all put our points of view forward.
To reiterate - put rodwell in our team and we become negative. Persist with him at our peril.

Gk?
Coleman Duffy Dier(has he signed)Garbutt
Junior Barkley Rodwell Gueye
Baxter
Vellios

That's not a bad team of youngsters is it!?

The future is bright for Everton and i am convinced that 4 or 5 of these players may well make it to the very top in a couple of years.

My point here is that If Moyes and Kenwright can add a couple of faces to the 1st team squad this summer one of them being Pienaar! and keep hold of our key players players (Heitinga, Jagielka, Baines, Gibson, Fellaini, Jelavic) along with experienced players like Howard, Cahill, Neville, Hibbert, Osman and Distin we have a great squad and a great mix of top players, experienced players and youngsters well and truly capable of getting us into europe and competing for silverware THIS SEASON and for the next 10 years!!!

The future is bright the future is BLUE! Make it happen Everton everything is in place squad wise to achieve what all us blues want!

PS--- ignore papers and rumours about our players mainly Fellaini and Baines, its just lazy journo's writing crap! None of our key players are for sale and IF!! any of them do go it will be for top money 25 million plus and Moyes will use it wisely and replace that key player with another key player so wouldn't bother me, players come, players go, Everton Football Club always remains!! The cities first 1878!!!!!

Hearing strong rumours from good sources that Pienaar will join on loan again this season because Spurs are asking for too much and Moyes will not pay 5 millplus for a 30 year old, he will join on loan because he will refuse to play for Spurs giving them no choice but to allow him to move on loan.
This is ridiculous, why doesn't harry just accept a decent price i think 3 million is really fair

Believable5 Unbelievable0

I think a loan deal would be good as it would free up what little money we have for other players. {Ed025's Note - fair point..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he will join on loan with a set buy price at the end
Joe EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think it will be a loan, if pienaar refuses to play, they will prob just put him in reserves, hawy wont let him come again free after he played do well

I am an avid reader and occasional writer on this site. All this talk about Fellaini being linked with Chelsea, City etc. There now seems to be an uproar amongst fellow evertonians (and rightly so!). If i remember rightly around November/December when we were playing sh*te most weeks, there were a lot people criticising Fellaini and wanting to get shot of him. Are we basing our opinions on the last 15 games of the season?

I for one am a huge fan of his and i would be gutted if he left. But and a Big BUT, he can be incredibly lazy, casual and un-workmanlike in a lot of games. One of his best ever performances for us was against City the season before last! Absolutely awesome, completely run the show. If he plays like that most weeks he is the £20-25m player that the media says he is. If he doesn't ! are there better options out there?? Answers on a postcard....

Alastair

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Load of crap that mate have a look who covered the most ground last season then u will change your opinion of felli

Agree0 Disagree0

Try and read what i wrote mate. Read it word by word and then it might sink in.

I was posing a couple of questions for debate.

For the record i think he has the potential to be one of the best midfielders in the league and would build the team round him.

Alastair

Agree0 Disagree0

I have my friend but he not lazy stats dont lie

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Alastair but that is total rubbish what you just put.Fellaini worked his butt off last season and i cant remember people wanting to get rid of him,he is loved by the fans and everyone at the club.Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair - before january trf window he was looking quite slow and uninspired - play was passing him by - he was always 10 yards away from ball whenever they had it - even if he was slowly jogging around - since January he's been a different player - he's well up for it now - those of us complaining about him were complaining about the pre-Jan player not the post Jan player - he does look good now - fair play to the fella - that was all we wanted though - to see him busting a gut and getting involved - centre mids can't slack off - maybe he needed a boot up the backside or maybe he was frustrated by the team around him - but once those decent signingswere made in Jan he's really kicked on :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair enough gents.
Was merely trying to start a friendly debate about one of our players.

Alastair

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank you to the previous poster...the exact point i was trying to get at.

I totally agree with your point about the team not playing well probably didn't help him before January. Gibbo in particular has complimented him nicely in the middle.

Alastair

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he looked bad because the team was bad overall

Agree0 Disagree0

Any1 who thinks felly is or was not good enough need to open there narrow mind, its not all about scoring goals or assists for me he has always had it u just need to look harder just coz he looks slow, he tackles ppl from like 10 yards away lol tall ppl tend to look a little slower coz there legs dont move as fast, bigger strides tho lol for me he has always been class

what kind of player is lewis holtby?

It says he's a midfielder on wiki and I read somewhere that he 'can' play on the wing - but what's his best position and strength?

He seems to be putting out strong 'come and get me' signals to Everton

Believable3 Unbelievable1

His best position i think is CM, either as holding mid or CAM. But i hear he is also good on the wings. He's a versatile player and we all know Moyes loves them.
Blue kaz

Agree0 Disagree0

When he first started he was a winger but this season Schalke have been playing him centrally

Agree0 Disagree0

And we're not short in the centre mid area - I think we need a specialist right winger and a someone 'in the hole' - if he's gona play Felli in the hole then maybe this guy goes in with Gibson? But (we also have Rodwell/Barkely don't we for centre mids)
How is rodwell coming along - anyone heard? {Ed025's Note - still injured mate...persistant hamstring

Too many people on here still ranting about Kenwright and the lack of money spent on transfer fees.
When most of the money is spent on players wages and we have some of the lowest priced season tickets in the premiership.

Sit down do the maths and it is simple

1 Players take less money in wages or
2 we pay more for the season tickets

Also do you really want this club, our club to be taken over by some Rich person with no real feel or passion for it.
Do not the lessons of Portsmouth, leeds, etc make you just realise just how lucky me are.

Don't get me wrong i would love BK to pour more money into the pot, but would you pay more to watch and will the players take out less to play each week.

Lets remember that the so called top 4/5 clubs are up to their eyeballs in debt in reality.

I love our club because it is in my heart and my soul and i trust in BK and DM to do the best they can with what they have.

Believable4 Unbelievable4

I think BK gets a bit of a rough ride, there are other people on the board with hundreds of millions more than him and why the F**K dont they put money in. He may be asking for 150 million but is that him asking or is he getting his orders from elsewhere.

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

I totally agree with this post, yes it would be great to have a £20-£30 million pound tranfer fund but BK loves the club and will only ever do his best for the club.

(wishful thinking)
When the top 4 sides all get banned from Europe for over spending next season we could be in the Champions Leauge lol :))

Agree0 Disagree0

If hes such a big fan why is he asking 7 times what he paid greedy

Agree0 Disagree0

Open your eyes lad. We are in debt too in case you haven't noticed, with not an asset to cash in on ... why ? cause BK sold em all.

Our only assets are our players which he continues to sell the best of year in year out, when Moyes goes we are up $**t creek without a paddle.

Agree0 Disagree0

And has he actually 'paid' anything - isn't what he paid showing as a loan on the balance sheet?
So he's owed the money he put in? Like shares?
And now his asset is worth 150mil - when he paid 30m ? SO why not spend 10m on giving Moyes a decent chance of champs league - we're so close to having a realy good team it would be a shame if we missed the opportunity for the sake of 10mil {Ed025's Note - it would mate..

everton will not be selling Fellaini. only one player has actually been sold against our will since Rooney and I feel that one was probably played to suit us anyway. lazy corporate journalists will continue to unsettle anyone who isn't at a rich club. this is a wealthy happy player guaranteed first team football and probably as a result a first team place in the next world cup in a decent side, the problem is made worse by Evertonians who engaage with this story by speculating on what the money could get us as if they have shares in the club. lets pretend we are getting rodwell and barkley for 10 million each and enjoy watching Fellaini, until recently the best kept secret in premiership and irreplaceable even at 26 million.

OK Ed can you riddle me this:

1) Henderson and Carroll = 42M Baines and Fellaini = 40M, The more you think about it the worse it sounds, so then try this

2) Baines and Fellaini = 30M plus a couple decent subs, is this as dumb or even dumber than #1 above?

Ok I find this to be a more interesting question

3) In few more years would you rather have Carroll (back from rehab) and Henderson or Rodwell and Barkley?

We are a few shrewd buys away from moving into some exclusive territory in the EPL Table.

Come On BK

Henderson and Carroll cost them even more than that, I'm sure they bought Henderson for about 20mill and Carroll for 35mill, so 55mill for them 2 clowns and journalists are evaluating Felli and Baineso at 40mill combined?

Can someone please tell me the logic of trying to sign Piennar again, but then selling Leighton Baines to anyone? I am certain that one of the main reasons Piennar wants to return to Everton is to once again reform his formidable partnership with Baines. Please let Baines & Fellaini realise that they can fulfill all their ambitions of winning trophies, here at Everton. Our "Time" is coming around again, football has always worked in Era's.....it may have taken a long while but I firmly believe that Moyes is close to building a really good team to challenge for the major honours....but we must keep hold of our best players,to enable us to carry on beating the so-called Top Four sides. We have already shown we can and money isn't everything, but most modern footballers want to play less games but earn silly sums of money to sit on the bench.....Sad !

Believable9 Unbelievable1

The club keeps on hitting it's glass ceiling in terms of wages, which is why we're continually forced to sell just as we're about to get somewhere. That's not going to change until we get investment, simple as.

The best we can hope for is winning a domestic cup competition.

Since the premierships inception the only clubs that have won it have spent big money. That's not going to change no matter how talented Moyes is.

I'd love you to explain how we hold on to our best players long term, when we can't offer them the wages they'd get at bigger clubs?

I think you've got your head in the clouds, no offence mate.
