watching fa cup highlights last post today....
i was thinking that moyes really doesnt want to get a new defender in the transfer window or why would he recall duffy?
all im hopeing is he is looking at a striker

toffee haz

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Incase he cant get one in time or at all. he can always just send him back on loan, but if we need to use him then time with the squad will benefit him

Been without a decent striker ALL season and now we're down on a centre back for 6 weeks and moyes is off on the hunt for a defender. TYPICAL. We still have Distin and Heitinga who have been playing brilliantly lately (especially Distin) yet mr negative is off on the look out for a defender that we can waste what little money we have on. How I love being an evertonian.... GazTheBlue {Ed025's Note - its fun ...isnt it gaz..

"He’s also a massive fan of Everton football club! Apparently due to being won over by the passion of the supporters at an Arsenal vs Everton match at Highbury in the 1990s." Prince Alwaleed bin Talal
this is what people were going on about ed i looked for ages and found it but it doesnt mean that he wants to buy everton (EVEN THOUGH I WOULD LOVE THE MONEY) he only invest in buissnesses he knows he can get alot of money back.

I think bk should have done the decent thing and spoke to supporters he doesn't have to answer all questions, I could understand if it was abusive but they just seemed genuine supporters wanting to know the truth. Remember Kevin keegan speaking to the press & supporters on steps at newcastle at least he had respect for fans
Robbie {Ed025's Note - different scenario...BK has got the hump with the BU because he feels they betrayed his trust, by secretly taping their meeting and in a way hes got a case, although i believe the BU have good intentions..for me they went about it in the wrong way..

Believable3 Unbelievable0

ED the BU said they didnt tape it plus there wasnt any proof and anyway I wouldn't believe anything that comes out of BILLY LIARS mouth, he's told far to many lies PADDOCKBLUE {Ed025's Note - i know what you are saying paddock...i lost faith in him years ago!...i was just stating his reasons for not conversing with the supporters at the ground today!

I am not implying anything by this but I was sitting in the Park End today and there were white (I presume English) men and women with Everton visitor badges around their necks, does anyone have any idea who they are?

JM

Believable1 Unbelievable0

This just a hunch JM maybe...just maybe.they were visitors from space {Ed025's Note - one things for certain...they would not be at anfield...due to the lack of atmosphere..

just seen the BK interview on toffeeweb, I now do not believe that we have a buyer for the club. If we had a buyer he would not have took the knock at the end of the interview, he would have simply smiled and walked away laughing to himself that everything is going to be ok, instead he had a little bite at the guy on the phone.

Just saw the video of BK getting some grief o/s of the ground. To be honest im not a BU supporter I think BK got off lightly. He never answered any questions fired at him and belive me if you watch they asked lots. He just said the BU have betrayed this club. All due respect to Tamworth were struggling against a non league side at home. Its poor disgraceful. BK should hang his head in shame.

The Blue Don

Here is a bit of info on the prince dude just found it on google

Prince al Waleed bin Talal

With a net worth estimated at $20.3 billion he is the world's richest Arab, and was nicknamed by Time magazine as the 'Arab Warren Buffett'. His Kingdom Holding Company is said to have interests in Apple, Citicorp, Four Seasons hotels, Euro Disney, Fairmont Hotels, Motorola, NewsCorp and AOL. Last year he was rumored to be buying Everton FC, the English Premier League side.

"If I'm going to do something, I do it spectacularly or I don't do it at all," is one of his better quotes.

Dubbed 'the rogue prince' by the Times for his advocacy of political reforms, al Waleed has never shied from making bold statements, a rarity in the Arab world. He is now considered by some to be the strongest political contender among the third generation Saudi royals who will one day inherit power from the aging sons of the kingdom's founder, Abdulaziz bin Saud.

Bluenose {Ed025's Note - cheers bluenose..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Good work bluenose.....so when one bin dies the other takes over...the bin is dead long live the bin............g

Agree0 Disagree0

In Arabic the term "BIN" Means "The Son Of ".I.E. Al Waleed "Son Of "Talal. Talal being the family/or tribe name.If you refer to a woman the term (which we have knowledge of in our language) would be "BINT" or Daughter of.

Agree0 Disagree0

Further to my mail about Bin being son of etc.. In my experience of the Arabic culture ANY reference to bad language/body parts and or alcohol would send any Arabic investment running away faster than Suarez from a night out in Manchester!.Any approach would have to be made with respect and honesty ,because if you need investment or financial backing the last thing you do is to offend your benefactor.Whilst Arabic nations may have lots of money it is vulgar to mention wealth so you must conduct yourself with respect.Remember they have lots of people who make requests for backing so you would have to be seen to be honourable and respectfull (hence no Arabic backers for them across the park!) {Ed001's Note - and people wonder why Everton fans get called bitter! The only reason Liverpool are not owned by Arabs is because Gillett and Hicks offered more money to Moores. Please stop being so childish. You came across with a good point, then spoilt it with a baseless inaccurate dig at Liverpool. Why even bother? I have spent so much time in the past defending Everton fans from accusations of being bitter and obsessed with Liverpool, please don't give more ammunition to those who say you are.}

like to see Shane Duffy get a game this afternoon. He's played 20 games for Scunthorpe this season and so will be used to the rough and tumble of the lower leagues. At 20, he should now be starting to get a few appearances for us, if he is going to make it.

As an aside, two of our other youngsters, Luke Garbutt (18) and Jake Bidwell (18) continue to get good reviews at Cheltenham and Brentford respectively. Both are highly regarded left-sided defenders who are currently in England age-group teams. Garbutt is playing against Spurs today. Two to watch!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Luke garbut for anyone who has not seen play is very, very good for me i would put him in at left back with baines in front of him would be perfect balance, garbutt will go on to be as good as baines.............g

Massive game today albeit v telford, however given the injuries we are set for a fall! What better opportunity than to give others the chance to go and express themselves positively at home! Moyes needs to be more upbeat and encourage those given the chance to prove themselves, there will always be pressure playin for a big club that will never change! So GOOD LUCK to those that proudly pull on the royal blue jersey and die for Everton! {Ed025's Note - actually ...we are playing tamworth!..

THIS PRINCE RIK WALLER,EEED BIN TO TALACA.fella is worth 19 billion it says hes a everton fan since the 90s ...some everton fan how many games he been...weres he been hiding the last 3 years the clubs dyeing and hes got 19 billion burning a hole in his pocket..no true blue would sit back and let that happen if they had that wealth......or has he been byeding his time waiting for us to hit rock bottom.....does anyone have info that it was him at the bolton game .......g

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Wasn't that that fat dude that won Pop Idol one year?? {Ed025's Note - rick waller was.....but our wheelie bin prince is loaded..

If it was the prince bin ondaweed tallal.do you think the the bolton game could av put him off buying us,it was a poor game with no atmosphere,at home its hard to create noise coz the games av been that bad,but the lads that travel away do us proud so lets hope the prince goes the spurs away game on wedensday..........g

Agree0 Disagree0

Just been told the game this prince al-alweed bin tallal went the arsenal everton game at highbury sometime in the 90s and was blown away by the everton fans, could this tie into david dein he was there chairman then i think and he waz deffo there on wedensday.but still not sure if it was the prince......g

Agree0 Disagree0

How many wheelie bins would we need ed to put are 19 billion in..........g {Ed001's Note - Ed025 doesn't get off the sofa for less than 4 wheelie bins full of money, which explains why he holds the world record for continous time spent sat on the sofa. He is now at 785 days 21 hours 16 minutes and counting. Not that I am suggesting he is lazy, but he had a colostomy bag fitted at the age of 22 to save him having to make so many trips to the bathroom.......}

Apparently the daily mail are saying Demba Ba has a release clause of £10mil, if this is true and it's true we have the Arteta money to spend that's the man i would go for!if only we would have took a chance on him during the summer!

Hear me out before you all shoot me down in flames!
I for one don't want to be selling our best assets but if we need to sell Rodwell or Barkley for £20 million to kick the club on then I think we should do it!
I've come up with this plan, I'm going to send it to Moyes and BK I think,
Sell:
Rodwell/Barkley (only 1) £20 million (if Henderson is worth that then these pair are!)
Billy £6 million
Heitinga £6 million

That's £32 million in, then buy (hopefully),

Defoe £12-15 million, natural goalscorer we need
Dempsey £6-8 million, playmaker with an eye for a goal (Arteta type) we desperately need
Ridgewell £3-4 million, provides cover for Buzz and Jags and can also play at left back if, god help us, Baines ever got injured
Rhodes £4-5 million, worth a gamble, good impact player from the bench until he finds his feet.

At most that's the £32 million received spent out, more likely to be about £25 with £6/7 million going to the bank. I honestly believe losing those 3 and bringing in these 4 would make us a much better team with real ability!
What do you think?!?

Mikey Blue Eyes

That is a really good thought, but it simply will not happen

is it actually possible to get 20 mill for rodwell? im starting to tink football is about luck and timing more than anyting,(luck)we don't have it at moment yakubu is the main example of that just look at his goal tally at moment, (timing) that also not going good other clubs like qpr are being transformed into something while we are being left out in the cold when we could be so much more,....aj

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Good post rodwell is very overated when he was playing for england i was willing him to score and he nearly did in both games the hype from the national media would have gone through the roof and that 20 million might have been acheived...bur for me anyone that does buy him will get a good player with potentiol.but not a great one......g {Ed025's Note - i agree with with that .g.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a first season thing with Yakubu though remember his first season with us ? He'll play well this season and get injured next season and then move onto another club after that unless Balckburn get relagated and he just leaves in the summer. {Ed025's Note - i agree mate..im still glad we got shut of him...total waste of space!
