Brilliant . Passion above all. What a game. Everton of old. Everyone put a shift in. Made up for the big fella.

Ed02 I've read that Ancelotti has been mention as a potential new manager. Is he being looked at? Cheers, J.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - No, Carlo Ancelotti seems a most unlikely option.{

07 Dec 2019 21:04:10
He hasn’t built his own team for 15 years and has mostly managed top players would of been a good appointment moving upwards after years of stability but not now in fragile position we are in. Big name big manager for a big club in Europe.

07 Dec 2019 20:41:40
Thanks Ed. didn't think it would be likely.

Are me and Tony bellew the only people who don't want vitor pereira as our new manager. Ed02 what do you know about vitor mate.

{Ed002's Note - Still the journeyman I explained about yesterday.}

07 Dec 2019 20:43:57
As bad as Sivas he comes we go down.

Agree0 Disagree1

08 Dec 2019 07:57:30
Way better than Silva DC, his drawback is as ED says he wouldn't stay. Have to say though that Benitez it still is for me, considering the amount of time and money wasted we need to be spot on this time and Benitez ticks the boxes pay his release clause.

07 Dec 2019 20:12:33
Just watched the game couldn't go today have to say I feel a bit for Silva I didn't like the line up DF picked it was the same old players but my god how they can play like that for him but have been terrible for Silva. You have to feel a bit for him.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

07 Dec 2019 20:51:11
No way skylark Silva was the worst since Mike Walker.
The players showed there joy at having seen the back of Silva.
Of corse Duncan was brilliant, why no Fergerson for the job? better than the new no mark portugese guy being touted.

Agree3 Disagree1

08 Dec 2019 02:19:54
Ffs dark clouds. He hasn't even got the job and you're being incredibly disrespectful already, "no mark" "he comes, we go down" etc. So called supporters like you will drive every manager out no matter how they perform. Get a grip for once in your life and give the manager a proper chance before deciding he isn't good enough.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 18:11:36
good game today well done big dunc and the players wouldn't mind moyes fergie and cahill in the dugout moyes had a good record at everton with a thin budget the right men around him he could actually take us further this time or we could get that guy from the chinese league or why not alan pardew.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

07 Dec 2019 18:41:26
Ashd89 just supposing you are not on a wind up - Pardew . Like Silva he should not get another job in the premier League again.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 19:14:15
" the players wouldn't mind moyes fergie and cahill in the dugout" rubbish how do you know that. Those three would never get us top 6 on a regular basis.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 19:15:47
ashd89 alan pardew think either you have had to many pints or you're just winding people up alan pardew haha i would happily give big dunc till end season but maybe a number 2 with him who can guide him maybe a joe royle peter reid just my opinion.

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 20:43:22
End of the day Dunc got a reaction out of them, the most tackles from any side in prem this season and most in a decade for Everton, tells you a lot about the team today.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 12:08:01
For the position we're in now we need passion fight and never say die attitude from players and manager like Fergie and his backroom staff put in to them. I think the 4-4-2 formation was just a reset for the player they have all been brought up playing that way, always thought we should play 2 up front at home helps struggling strikers tying up another defender. Chelsea where on top for periods of the game but their defenders knew they where in a game as DCL put a proper shift in, forcing mistakes out of 2 decent CBs. I think with the week training Fergie should give us at least some chance on the break against united. Most of important we had passion from our leader.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 17:52:09
I swear I forgot what that feeling felt like today.
Everton had drained my passion for the game, well the manager and board.
But watching my boyhood hero celebrating like the fans was in the stands while actually managing the team, reminded me why I love this game. I'm not getting carried away, but I will enjoy this today. What a moment.

Today I regained the joy of Everton thankyou Duncan, you came many years ago, kept us up, now stay as manager you can do it.

Agree1 Disagree1

08 Dec 2019 08:01:33
Nilsatis, that game today showed why Duncan Ferguson is kept around and don't forget the likes of Ebbril, another whose enthusiasm for the Club should be applauded.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 17:03:53
Really special that moment today when Big Dunc hugged the ball boys. Showed the passion that is needed to be a Evertonian.
I said after the Norwich game it wasn’t an Everton performance, today that was. You can always outplay a team with nice football but you can always give 100%.
Dunc has been in the dressing room for the last few years got to ask why the players haven’t been fired up before.
It’s been interesting listening to some of the interviews. D. F. it was a mixed reaction to MS sacking! Shows not everyone was behind him. Players saying after game today about playing Everton way with passion shows not everything was rosy in camp. Whoever comes in needs to take this onboard.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

07 Dec 2019 20:46:12
Not really could also mean some players were closer to him than others ie Richarlison spent long time with him and owes Silva a lot for giving him a chance in English football, don’t do what media does and twist words.

Agree0 Disagree1

07 Dec 2019 22:32:37
Not twisting words. Just my opinion hearing what people have said and a totally different reaction on the pitch. I was a fan of Silva and hoped things turned out as I believed in a lot of the things he was doing. Including zonal marking. He was unlucky with injuries but reading between the lines I now think there was problems and lack of confidence too.

Agree0 Disagree0

08 Dec 2019 08:11:47
SIG, the man had no idea, does not understand the Premiership and certainly did not get this City or Everton. Have you ever seen an Everton non-performance like that against Liverpool. I have seen performances like the one against Norwich coming but never in all my years did I think I would see that against that lot. Even the Kendall result being worse, the performance was better.

The utter stupidity of hiring a man whose stats and CV glaringly say don't touch, has set this great Club back and it is going to take someone/ something special to get us up the table given our next few games. Yesterday was a one off but that atmosphere has been missing for years and worth a goal before even kicking off. I hope against hope the Club get it right this time.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 16:43:29
Long way to go and rode our luck but the passion, discipline and no give up brought the place rocking. From left field how about Moyes/ Big Dunc combo and see how it goes. We are not going to pull up any roots but having had the soul sucked out of us by one of the worse managers in my memory, it would be folly to allow that Big Dunc injection go to waste. One thing playing like that means extreme fitness and will entail Squad rest. And yes it is celebration time, I fear deaf and dumb breakfast tomorrow.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

07 Dec 2019 17:04:26
BCT I'm only up for DM if he takes an interim role right now I like the Ferguson ''passion'' it's like a breath of fresh air after breathing stale stuff for way way too long .
Atm DF is the caretaker boss and me personally I am happy with that .

Agree1 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 17:21:07
We would have more performance like that with Moyes and Ferguson and is probably the sensible approach. I don’t want to choose passion or good football. We demand both but first play with heart then look after that to take the next step.
If we play with heart with the players we have I believe we should be top 6.
New players needed and better quality football needed to challenge big boys. Can Moyes and Dunc take us there?

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 19:15:21
"Can Moyes and Dunc take us there? " NO!

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 19:48:22
Is this a wind up? Moyes never played against a top 6 side like we did today had have gone for the draw. Stop rewriting history. Moyes is no fit to lace big duncs boots.

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 21:19:58
And he never showed the passion like DF today.

07 Dec 2019 22:37:33
I get not everyone wants Moyes back but he did have us playing with intensity and had the crowd behind the players as a 12th man.

Does anyone know why we r looking at kovac. What's he achieved I've looked at his stats and it doesn't really fill me with confidence.
I know very little of him tho to be fair can any of the eds give us any heads up about him.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Everton are not looking at him. He has been wandering Europe attending games in different countries.}

07 Dec 2019 15:34:52
Good win today. Lucky at times as I think they could of scored a couple in the 1st half. But they didn't and maybe that's the bit of luck that we haven't had lately. DF got the crowd going today, great team effort, lots of desire and fight. Well done Big Dunc, he may only get a few games in charge but he's brought something back that was missing. HEART.

I've just seen moor passion from big dunc in the first sis mins on the touch line than I did from silva in 93 games.
I'd lovhim to do really well an get a crack at the job I can't think of anyone more deserving of the job he's blue through and through and he's loyal.

07 Dec 2019 14:36:45
More passion from the players also, what fantastic scenes and a great win. Been a lot of criticism on here about Big Dunc but nobody should be doubting his passion and love for this club.

07 Dec 2019 14:43:50
A great result for us. All the team put a shift in

I have to say I don't think we played great but I couldn't fault the effort and that is important

DCL will benefit from his goals. Ricky still the main man though

Big Dunc the difference, even got a tune out of Schneiderlin.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 19:57:18
Finally 442. I think it made all the difference having 2 up top. I'm not sure why he brought Richarlison off, I thought Davies was poor when he came on.

07 Dec 2019 12:06:48
Why oh why is Walcott starting? We seriously need to sell Sneiderlin and Walcott in Jan if possible. They are shocking and shod not be in our club.

07 Dec 2019 12:11:02
Walcott did have his best few games before his injury.

07 Dec 2019 12:24:09
If he turns up Smitty, yes he's been good lately so that justifies it atm.
BT, As for selling Schniedy, well tell me how do we pitch that sale mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 12:31:23
If Walcott's been good when was the last game he won for us? I'm struggling to remember it. I think our expectations have been reduced

Scheiderlin - a busted flush who shouldn't be anywhere near the team

Hope they both make me eat my words

That should do it mate 😂.

I thought Theo played well today and has played well recently. I used to be a big critic of Theo but I think right now he deserves to be played.

I think everyone is a big critic on schnids right now but he was fairly average today, so for him he's had a fantastic game.

Is that really good enough?

I thought Theo played well today he tracked back closed down and if he'd steadied himself once or twice and played the right ball we could of had a couple of more chances at goal. I couldn't knock him today to be fair.

07 Dec 2019 10:08:14
All well and good throwing a list of names out who we are potentially being linked with. Forget ancelotti. forget pochettino. forget ten haag. Not one of them managers wouldn't ruin there reputations in taking the poison chalice of managing everton. Who could blame them the way the clubs being run. Personally I think the names mentioned are being used as a smokescreen before the inevitable happens we'll end up with moyes again .

Believable1 Unbelievable0

07 Dec 2019 11:40:25
I get what your saying Jimmy but why would you use those names as a smokescreen?

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Dec 2019 16:27:21
Ther'e the names that are being bandied around smitt. What I'm saying is are they really being thought of about managing our club or is the club or whoever just putting the names out there to make it look like we're trying to attract the big names while all along they've got moyes lined up already I don't know mate but that's how it's got me feeling hope I'm wrong really I do. Back to today mate it was great to see the commitment and passion from us today chelsea where the better footballing team but the effort and commitment plus a rub of the green we got with the 3rd goal which we never get was well deserved and we deserved the win. Duncan showed more passion today in the first 5 mins than silva showed in 18 months on that touchline today . The players actually played for the manager who lead by example.
