Liverpool are not invincable at home, they have come unstuck against teams organised with a game plan. An if I could guarantee we have something under Sam it's that. Might not be great football even though tonight looked good, Liverpool mostly look great away from home where the home team has to come out to impress. With them being the home side I can see us looking ok. Don't get me wrong I would take a point right now, Liverpool will try to steam roll us wary an if we get through first 20 minutes or maybe nick a early goal ourself would be a bonus. They are a very small but energetic team, this can be combated with height and our own energetic midfield.

We get the game plan right an I don't see an embarrassment which a lot of people think will happen.

Sam allerdyce wasn't my choice but he's ere an ill get behind him,

Whilst I commend your optimism our home record this year in all comps is played 11 won 7 and drawn 4 scoring 29 goals and conceding 6. You will have to be solid and ride your luck a little but stranger things have happened especially with it being the derby.

We need to deal with their pace. One twos and quick movement off the ball. Williams has been caught short against slower opposition and will have to be alert not to be caught out. Jags is also not the quickest these days. I would guess Holgate will play and Kenny. but who with I am not sure? I can see maybe yellow or red for last ditch tackles? let's just hope we get a fair share of luck and the weather does indeed inhibit them.

Williams starts he will be destroyed by the quick feet of any of there attack. I see him conceding a penalty maybe a sending off. He is killing us with poor chalenges this season.

I'm not saying I fancy us to win, I'm saying Liverpool are not invincible they are no Manchester City, and toys will come out he pram if we can frustrate them. They frontline is frightening on the counter, but they won't play on the counter as we won't give them the chance too. Can Liverpool break teams down with patience, trying to find holes and gaps in behind. They have coutinho to do that, but mane n salad I believe are the best counter attacking players in the league along with hazard. I believe this way of playing can be combated by legs in midfield and a physical side. I expect Williams to play alongside either Keane or holgate, Sam likes him I think. None of us know why haha but he does.

My prediction is 1-1 šŸ™.

I expect Keane and Holgate and maybe Jags in a back 5 with Kenny and Baines (is he fit? ) . midfield I have no idea.

Exactly they are no mancity and i felt we did well against them. Liverpool are playing fantastic attractive football, scoring for fun but have weaknesses. If we fight, we can win. Its simple.

Canā€™t get counter attacked playing direct football, we need to be direct but when we get the chance to attack we need to take it.

Clyne, Loren, Klavan, Matip and Henderson are all god awful footballers, Iā€™m gutted Moreno is injured, just their amazing attack to worry about.

Swan, I surprisingly rate Henderson. I never used to but when they beat us at Goodison last year I think he was the best player on the pitch.

How does Robbie Savage keep his job! He was a terrible footballer and he's an even worse commentator!

He has the negatives in a safety deposit box.

bit harsh that Leicester. He is quite a genuine bloke actually. What he is, is honest, which some, you obviously being one take umbrage to. Would rather have him than some of those other Lemon sucking so called 'experts'.

Savage is not a genuine bloke or a good pundit/ commentator, heā€™s awful.

A few more points after speaking to Ed001.
Just a reminder as we need a fair few more for next summers charity football match in which it's Ed002 vs Ed001 being armchair managers.
Details:
Ā£35 match fee per player
Held in the midlands at a floodlit pitch
Winning eds charity will receive 80% of money raised, whilst runner ups charity will receive 20% ( to give it the feel of competition)
The aim is to raise Ā£1000
I've been tinkering with some programmes and streaming services, looks like the game will be able to be streamed to the posters which is great.
Any age is welcome to play, we have had a wide variety so far!
A lot of emails regarding not being able to play, but would like to donate to the eds charity. I've come up with the idea, that if people want to do that, they could donate to either eds charity, as a type of "I back you to win" donation. An we could get a poll going to see which team the posters back to win via donations :)
I've ran several football clubs an events so everything is in good hands. I'm friends with Dermot Gallagher also as he's from my town, and I'm sure I can get him to referee.
All we need is a few more sign ups, hoping to be able to pass everyone on to the eds this weekend so they can pick their teams.

Starting to feel that Allardyce could turn out really good for us
Along with Shakespear and Lee that three some has a lot to offer any top club.
I am sure the players will be ready to do battle at Anfield with Big Sam and his team leading them in.
To get a good result is now a probability,
Could be one our best Derby performances.

4 weeks ago I would have seriously feared a major embarrassing derby defeat, now don't get me wrong the attacking flair they possess is dangerous but its not invincible.
We went to city and got a point and they have just as good if not better attacking players, and that was when we didn't have a manager who can organise a back line.
I have seen the goals last night and the defending left a lot to be desired, remember, PSG put 7 past Celtic at Celtic and they haven't been lauded over.
They will feel confident going into the game that they will batter us, myself, I don't see it and have a sneaky feeling we will nick a win from a set piece, which may I add they are shocking at.
Last nights result has no bearing whatsoever on Sundays game, and Sam will already have had a gameplan regardless of what happened last night.
I mean come on, you know as a defender not to allow a cross field ball across your own 6 yard area, and how many times did Moscow allow that last night, I'm sure our defensive drills will have already focused on this.
So yes they put 7 in last night but the shape was no different to the shape they have used all season.

IMO the reds are more of a counter attacking team rather than a build from the back, so as long as we don't go all out we should be able to contain them. If we go behind and then chase the game we will get battered. COYB.
