I said a while back that we signed a world class player in Bernard. He is still only 70% fit.
Imagine this fella at 100%!
Love the team right now and today he found his 11.
Well done Marco and well done the lads.
Faultless away performance.

Its about keeping feet on ground.

{Ed025's Note - never one to go overboard are we ktf?..

06 Oct 2018 22:16:22
Ed25 with respect probably supported this team since you were a bag in dads bagdad. What I object to is the utter disrespect and downright personal insults on this site. I have an opinion, so do others. So what. Seriously have now had enough, no BS. Please delete my account, I have that right. I shall go elsewhere. Thankyou.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we are actually of similar age ktf, but if you take what i said as an insult then you are more fickle than i thought mate, if you dont want to post anymore then just dont log in i would suggest..

07 Oct 2018 01:54:50
Well said ED.

When we play badly we have to listen to all the 'doom and gloom' merchants come on and pillory THEIR side but you will also see the rose tints giving fair criticism of the players, the tactics and the manager.

Is it unfair to expect then, when we play well, that the doom and gloom have the decency, the love of THEIR team to tell them that they played well. Saying you support them isn't saying they played well. I'm not even asking for them to change their miserable outlook on the team but to just be pleased and SUPPORT THEIR team

Regarding the personal insults I don't believe saying someone is all 'doom and gloom' is anywhere near as bad as calling people sycophants or that Bill Kenwright has lost his marbles, or running down Silva's ability all the time which you have no problem doing.

KTF - you are about the same age as me, maybe one or two years older but at our age irrelevant. If you can't take constructive crtticism when you are quite happy to dish out your own, I would say, non constructive tripe, then I agree - maybe you should stay away from this site.

? Someone needs to understand that RESPECT isn't a right, it's something that's earned. And when someone is constantly negative they are going to attract critics.

kft grow up mate your 68ish and spitting dummies everywhere because people dnt agree with u? so because I was born in 89 you are a better supporter than me? how long you have supported the team is irrelevant if your not actually supporting the team you just picking hole in everything they do.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats a very fair point johny mate..

07 Oct 2018 12:32:47
What a day yesterday - really good 3 points away from home and plenty of signs that there is more to come. And to add the cherry to the cake, KTF announces that he is taking his relentless whinging elsewhere. superb!

07 Oct 2018 15:33:15
Well said Ed25, when we have a loss all sorts are posted, when we win and play well, it is still not enough for the doom merchants, they have to find fault in something, so if we are not to get carried away after a good performance, then why should it be right to get carried away after a loss by flogging the manager, selling and dropping players.

Some folk are content to slate everything if a poor performance or loss comes, yet if we play well get a good result, it is never enough, it is always we only won a game, so what, get behind the bloody team and give the manager a chance.

Have to say Ed25 is by far the best Ed on here, he understands our highs and lows, But I agree with Ed25, by all means have a go when we fail, but at least give the team and manager credit, when we get a win, instead of looking for cracks.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - some people just love to moan bignev, i believe in the club and what they are trying to do and know it wont happen overnight, we are not a quick fix and anyone expecting us to be challenging for honours shortly is just kidding themselves mate, we are heading in the right direction and we have good people in charge which leads me to believe that not only is the football entertaining but that we are on the way to being a force once again and im excited about the journey..

06 Oct 2018 20:01:07
It's all about continuous improvement slowly slowly but always positive and that's what Marco will bring to the club COYB.

Plus 2 players to come in who could be immense for us, Gomes beside Gueye and Mins to come in. Plus how good is Bernard.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Oct 2018 00:03:02
Like I keep saying. we look so much better offensively. We just need to tighten up (hopefully Mina is the key to that) and then we win more games.

The change in you over the last couple of weeks is amazing and really good to see.
I might be wrong but I think you come over as a lot happier than a month or so ago. It's good to smile about the team isn't it?

Long may it last

I hope gomes turns out to be good but personally I am looking forward to seeing McCarthy play in this team.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we know what macca brings to the table smit, gomes has the ability to bring something different i feel and im looking forward to seeing him perform in a blue shirt mate..

07 Oct 2018 09:10:47
Good problems to have though isn't it? We've got Saturdays squad plus another 4 or 5 for Silva to decide on for his best 11
Last season who gave a f78k - we just wanted to avoid a hiding.

I love the Gomes of Valencia and it will probably see Davies being dropped to the bench.

He was played in the wrong area at Barcelona but he's a quality player who really make that midfielder gel. He might be a good player for Davies to learn off.

07 Oct 2018 12:53:31
Gomes and a fully fit McCarthy in the middle? That could be a strong partnership.

This Team is now very close to the real deal, with Mina Gomez and Seamus coming back and Jimmy Mac close the future looks bright, well done Marco for giving us this sort of footy we have all been craving for, for so long.

06 Oct 2018 19:12:19
What it does show is it looks like Silva has worked out his best staring 11 out of the current crop of fit players which is great. What he has to do now is work out who can slot in seamlessly during periods of injury and when our injured players return. I will be very surprised if he makes as many changes to the team as he did in the Haribo cup when we play our 1st FA Cup fixture.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Oct 2018 19:50:00
Definitely agree GB nice football was abit worried when they scored before half time, just watched sigs goal a few times and Bernard should be one of the first names on the team sheet after the performances he's been putting in, we just need to kick on now get a steady team and see how high we can go.

Not perfect but a good, well deserved win,

Fantastic goal from Siggy and some magic from Bernard for Rickies well taken goal. Good decision by Silva to get all 3 on the pitch from the start

Still need to tighten up more at the back but we shouldn't have lost the ball upfield in the first place.

I'd just ask the people who have been critical of our team on this site - don't stay quiet but give the lads their due for this game.

Great win today and 17 shots with 8 on target away from home is something i haven't seen for a few seasons.

We are still going to get wholloped at times but we are developing well. 3 points away from and against a tough opponent is a good result. However, we won't see the best of this team until January at the earliest.

Bring on the Eagles!

P. s does anyone really still think we would have been better with Fat Sam anymore? Or are you now happy that we are now showing what a proper football team is all about.

It was good to see us attack when they lost a man. Remember that there are 2 ex Barcelona players working to be fit enough to make a debut. Now that’s no guarantee that they’ll be top players on this league. But to be fair to Marco, he’s picked a few good ones already. Can’t wait.

Good win against a decent Leicester side who carved us open like a Christmas Turkey for their goal. Kept our heads and what an absolute corker by Siggs! Love our Brazilians and I also think Digne is settling in really well. Overall a decent performance. COYB!

Cant speak for anyone else but my negativity is only given on sites such as this. I support Everton as always and never negative at the games either toward players, board or coaching staff. Yes negativity does get some of you down but the constant positivity and yes sycophancy is also wearing. Chuffed with the win today. Watched the result in a beach bar.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Oct 2018 17:37:33
The thing is KTF the majority of us start off the season positive and the performances and results slowly wears us down. Different supporters wear down at different rates.
What I can't do with is negative ones from the off because they don't like the coach or manager or away kit or the fact everyone else is positive. They come in to the season with an axe to grind and never get over it.
They're the ones that really should maybe find another sport or hobby to keep them occupied.

06 Oct 2018 18:12:42
Good shout Smit mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Oct 2018 18:17:51
No axe to grind mate. Have questions over the fellas commitment. What I will say is that Rikky and Bernard being Brazilian having Silva from Portugal is a plus and his Spanish will not be to shabby either for Mina etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Oct 2018 19:39:45
My reply wasn't aimed at you KTF, well unless you can answer yes to the reasons I stated.
I'm sure you're not negative just because you are not sure about the managers commitment?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Oct 2018 20:02:58
Chrs smit think we are both misunderstood is all.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Oct 2018 02:07:39
KTF 'chuffed with the win'

Is that the best you've got?

No 'the team played really well' 'so and so and so and so were excellent' '2 brilliant goals from excellent individual play' 'poor goal to concede but could see improvements in the defence'

Come on - you keep saying you have a right to express your opinions

Is that the best you have got?

It's not just you. Where's dark cloud with his view of our performance? Where's all the other detractors? Cat (performance) got your tongues?
