Just seen Michael ball in the echo saying about bad investment in players got me thinking are the players we've bought in the last windows really that bad
Jordan pickford 26mil
Potentially England's world cup keeper got to be money well spent
Wayne Rooney FT back were he started and are top scorer played anywhere and will always give his all decent signing
Coco Martina FT limited in ability but should be commended for being willing to play out of position for so long lots of players would not want to play on their opposite foot
We paid no fee and he's willing to earn his wagers value for money
Davy klaassen 25 mil has been wrote off it seems but has he really had a chance started in a struggling side never really got the chance to play himself into form carried the can for some bad team performances can't go from such a good player to such a bad one that quick can definitely come again jury's still out
Lookman 8mil one of the country's brightest young talents burst on to the seen went missing started to get going again then gets loaned out a victim of a new manager hope he comes back and gets another go
Vlasic 10 mil another one who has great potential but the manager dosent fancy hope we keep only young and definitely a player in there
M Keane 26mil had a good start then lost his form when the team was struggling not major money for a English centre back jury's still out
Sigurdsson 45mil big money signing has not been played in his best position so don't feel I can judge him propally but when the shite got salah for 30mil he needs to start producing regular to be worth the money
Sandro 5mil didn't see enough to really find out if he's any good jury's still out
Wallcot 26mil good money for a player of his pedigree hope he does well
Tosun 26mil big in Turkey we will wait and see
So is it all bad on the player front or are these lads victims of bad management thoughts anyone.

Couple of points Alid,
Martina has been ok in a terrible team, don't commend him.
Salah cost 30 mill but oxlade cost 35, siggurdson cost 45. Need I say more?
Walcott great money and Tosun is not expensive.
Vlasic and Lookman need a manager who will progress them.

smit i remember when u was a happy soul mate hahaha.

Martina value for money? Are you kidding me. The guy is being paid you know. He is awful at lb would be awful at rb and awful at making the tea. How he gets in ahead of Garbutt is simply baffling.

Agree1 Disagree1

07 Mar 2018 10:51:58
why do so many people think garbutt is world class? the lad doesn't start regular for the 23s, he's behind gibson right now and would be 4th choice in u23s if robinson and connelly wernt out on loan!
martina is nothing more than a scapegoat for a lot of people but i have a lot of respect for him, he signed for us a a bit of cover, a squad player, he might not be technically great but he doesn't stop he's playing out of position and putting 110% effort in week in week out which is more than can be said bout some of or "better" players.

Agree2 Disagree2

07 Mar 2018 14:55:53
Moody has said Garbutt is world class. However he can kick a ball with his left foot, so he is already better than Martina, who can’t kick a ball with either foot.

Wish we could buy Felipe (cb) from porto before the derby. Kept the reds out single handed tonight.
Wonder if he worth a shout in summer. Not sure of age but looked solid.

Did he not get 5 put past him in the 1st leg?

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Mar 2018 03:31:48
porto got thrashed 5-0 in the first leg because they committed one too many men forward which left in spaces in behind, they tightened up in the second leg.
when you have a manager who is tactically sound he can make paul dummet look like a good defensive player.

Hi Ed 025 anything your end mate on these rumours in some of the rags re Bill etc on their reign coming to end at Everton, i think this guy is the original True Blue and he absolutely loves the Club and has done nothing but good, for some posters on here to slag him off is totally beyond me, if it had not been for Bill Everton would just not exist as it does now, if he does step down I hope the Club honours the man with naming a new stand or similar in the new stadium, i for one would like to thank the man Big time for everthing he has done for our Great Club and wish him all the very best in the future.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - im a fan as well GB people have short memories when it comes to him, and even though we have not been able to keep up with the big money clubs in the past he will always have a place in my heart mate..

06 Mar 2018 18:27:19
Definitely mate, on a different note I don't know if read that article on Newsnow re "Everton Are Falling Apart and nobody Cares, excellent read mate and just so very true on what is happening at Everton, cheers mate.

I totally agree. I thought Everton were gone at one point. Some of the stories that I've heard scare the poop out of me. He's put his house up and went against the wishes of his wife which I know put a strain on him and his family.

And yet not one person on here, no matter how much we say we love the club and think we are the best supporter in the world, have made any such commitment.

Have a go at his decisions and choices he's made, although they have generally been good enough to keep us in the top flight and brought us that billionaire we've all craved, but don't bring his love, support or commitment into question. None of us are perfect.

Impressed with that mate, good post and very true.

Great post Blue John. Maybe it is time for him to move on but I have to say, it scares me a bit that Moshiri would have total control without a sound football brain like Bill along side him.

Mr Morishi is not successful by going it alone. He relies on his advisors. I am sure he will have another footballing brain lined up Smit. Just wonder who. I wonder who will buy Bill and co's shares. Morishi's mate Usmanov? They could buy the best brain I am sure. even for a little ole club like ours.

Guernsey I am totally with you we owe a lot to Bill I was just saying about this on the other page and I am also disgusted with some of the comments people make. He was our saviour in a dark time and took us as far as he could.

06 Mar 2018 21:14:03
Usmanov can't unfortunately no doubt it will be Moshiri.

How to go from Ajax captain to Everton U23 player, give big Sam a call.

But he ain't pulled up no trees when he has had a chance has he!

Going to make myself unpopular but here goes. Of course I along with many others on here have the utmost respect and love for the way he saved us from Hamper man. But please do not mistake or misinterpret criticism for personal attacks. There is no doubt that BK has made some bad decisions and at times been a bit of a bottle stop by allowing his heart to rule his head (perhaps like Mr Moshri now, by listening to the wrong people) . Having said that I hope he does not disappear off the scene and that the Club give him an honourary role (no doubt they will) .

Shakey just look at how the Team were set up when he did play. At one point we had 3 nominal No 10's on the pitch. I have outlined a good (in my opinion) 4 across the middle in Bolasie Sigurdson Klaason (spelling) and Walcott, I would eat my hat if that combination (given a run) did not work. All of these people have played International and top class, top competitions football in good Teams. They do not become crap overnight.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Mar 2018 21:17:58
Well he's keen and hungry to play, so can't be any worse than we have on the pitch. I'm loving Davies energy at the moment but could Klassen be rotated with him?

i got a feeling silva will be manager for the new season. good young manager in my opinion. looking forward to seeing funes mori playing, i always rated him. NO PANIC we are safe from relegation, bring on the new season, we will be top 6/ 7.

I feel you may have forgotten what Mori was like when he played. don't get me wrong, if it was a choice between him and Williams then it's a no brainer but we need Holgate in the middle.

Agree3 Disagree1

06 Mar 2018 13:41:22
He's had enough time work on his game and his mistakes hopefully he's be better than he was. he's got to be better than Williams or than coco at lb because u can't get much worse.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Mar 2018 14:26:30
I to like Mori and now comparing him to what we have at LCB he is streets ahead. Unsy praising Klaasen and Funes both. Now I know for a fact that Alardyce watches his reserves/ U23's so it has to be a difference of opinion why Klaasen doesn't get a game or even make the bench. For me as I have said earlier things have to change and drastically. We are on 34 points and Dazza we are far from safe when you look at our current form 9 games to go, 3 points minimum needed and hand on heart I just do not know where they are going to come from.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Mar 2018 14:34:28
Dazza, what convinces you Silva is the man? He took Hull down and was on the way to putting Watford in an unrecoverable position when he was sacked (using Everton as an excuse, amateurist PR at best) . We need someone who knows how to man-manage or a consistent coach with a DoF that has all the skills in order to advise and aid the said coach or Manager. I/ We are laymen (the majority of us) and yet can see the obvious. Mr Moshri really does need to seek the advice of someone who knows the game and in particular the way the Premiership works and should put that no 1 on his list well in advance of the Summer break.

Davy Klaassen get first run out since september. Maybe they getting him up to speed for a few 1st team games. Hope he is given a chance. Very good player, just needed a little time to adjust. Hoping Mori is put in line up too. Better than the shambles we got atm.
