I have a sneaky feeling we might now sign Lukaku, especially after his comments today. Although Bony would of been my preference, I do still think this could go down as a massive coup for efc as Lukaku does have great potential & is still only aged 20 & has scored more goals than the likes of Suarez & Ronaldo at the same age believe it or not!

I'd be happy to take Rodders back if Bobby can see a role for him. I see it as bolstering the squad for another 15+ games this season if runs in the FA, League Cup and the Europa League prove successful. In fact if Bobby thought it made sense to entice Claus Thomsen and Brett Angell out of retirement, I'd back him. ok maybe not! IMWT!

From the official club website:

"Everton's Under-21s and Under-18s touched down in Austria on Sunday afternoon to begin a six-day warm-weather training camp.
The young Blues arrived at Obertraun National Sports Centre, where they will also work at high altitude in a bid to get ready for the new campaign.
Leaving Finch Farm at 6am, the players flew from Manchester to Munich before travelling to the picturesque base via coach.
David Unsworth has taken charge of the Club's second-string for the trip following the departure of new Hibernian boss Alan Stubbs, while Kevin Sheedy leads the Under-18s fresh from winning the league title in May.
Last month, 15 players signed scholarship forms and all except the injured Michael Donohue make the trip.
The Club have frequented the mountain village of Obertraun often in recent years, with the first-team also regular visitors to the popular Alpine facility.
The first-team are due to return to Finch Farm next week ahead of their own overseas training schedule. Players involved in the World Cup will reconvene at later dates.
In the meantime, evertonfc.com will be with the young Blues throughout their stay in Austria, bringing daily updates and videos via evertontv, the Club's YouTube channel and other social media platforms."

Hope that answers a few earlier posts about when pre-season training starts and about who's currently in charge of the U-21s and U-18s.

I think we haven't sign anyone yet because BK want to save their money, if we sign player at 30 august, BK can save their money paying new player's wages for 1 months before that.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sign in January he can save more. Ha ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but that is the dumbest reason I have ever heard. You think players will sign a 2 year and 11 month contract?
It doesn't matter when you sign someone they are on contracts so you pay the same in the end regardless of when they sign

Everton should go for origi rather than lakuku, would cost half the price of lukaku and looks a better prospect. Does any one agree?

6 goals in 40 games, no one knew who he was 2 weeks ago, no thank you, bascially a belgium sanogi, bambi on ice

Agree0 Disagree0

Almost same quality but cheaper.

Lukaku is proven in the premiership!

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real. One is a monster who scores goals. The other isn't! End of.

Agree0 Disagree0

Degsy is right, only one has any pedigree, the other one wouldn't look any better in the prem than Marcus bent.

Found it funny how when the arsenal lad came on asking about McCarthy and claimed 19m was the proposed bid, obviously we wouldn't let him go for only a 6mil profit but the thing I found funny was how so many on this page have been saying they'd like to get Bony for 20mil or less when that would only equate to a 5 mil profit (or less) for Swansea. Just saying how when you're on the other side of the fence how quickly we rubbish these notions. We're not going to sell McCarthy after the season he had (or at least not for a small profit) and I doubt Swansea will sell Bony for that little I think about 25mil would be the minimum Swansea will want to get for him.

what if bony is looking for a move away from swansea because of lack of european footy? i'm no expert but I think it would make sense to sell high make a profit and reinvest rather than hold onto a player who doesn't want to be there and watch his value shrink. obviously idk if bony is trying to leave swansea, but i'd imagine he would be looking for a bigger stage to perform on
