Great to be so actively linked with players this window. Im all for improving the squad, however, not seen any names who would improve our first 11 as of yet. Forren will surely serve on the bench beneath jags and Distin. The wingers linked wont budge fully fit Pienaar and Mirallas. Baffled why we aren't being linked to centre midfield players.. We're absolutely dead in there without gibbo now! {Ed025's Note - i think your right..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Have patience, I'm sure DM has someone in mind, probably Vadis, though, personally, I'd love him to try to hijack the Holtby deal. He can leave now for just under £2m. If we're interested this is our chance

Anything in the Pedro Leon link Ed? Would be a massive signing is we could pull it off {Ed025's Note - i doubt it mate..

Eds, is there any truth in the Forren 4million bid accepted. It has it on the news but I wonder where the money is coming from. And will this be the end of Heitinga? {Ed025's Note - i would be guessing mate..

I think Oviedo deserves a chance certainly looked more lively than Naismith at Newcastle!

Believable13 Unbelievable0

Agree, should at least be given a few games on the bounce to show us what he can do, which I believe is quite better than Naismith!

Team news for tomorrow think a few young kids will be giving a chance, a lad called John lundstram has travelled an is meant to be a pass master

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Lundstrum has a bright future, whether it is at everton or elsewhere

Supposed to be a great prospect, hope Barkley gets a start as well

getting fed up with coming on here and seeing so many negative posts about having not signed anyone or we have no money or we are in 49m debt

firstly, so what if we haven't signed anyone, we are less than a week into the transfer window

secondly, we do have money to spend, moyes may of said we have no money to spend but he also said that before spending 15m on fellaini

thirdly, yes we have 49m debt, its alot of money to anyone outside of football but it is pocket change compared to the majority of premier league clubs debts and it is dropping, it was around 60m a few years ago!

far too many people are going off the accounts that were released this week and not understanding that they are from the 11/12 season and do not include the money from the cahill deal, the rodwell deal, the nike deal, season ticket sales for this season, and i have read that we have sold 3 times as many half season tickets this year as we did last year!

stop being so depressing and glum, we are in the best position we have been for years, we have some of the best players we have had for a long time, we are playing some of the best football we have played for a long time! we have beaten united and spurs this season already, gave city a fright and were unlucky not to take points off the champs league winners!

and we are flying high above the RS and have been all season!! {Ed021's Note - brilliant

Believable14 Unbelievable0

Good post mate, that should tell the negative brigade.

ToffeeMike

Agree0 Disagree0

We are flying at the moment, it's a great time to be an evertonian, best squad we have ever had under moyes

And we also have the best new transfer this season to start playing full time

Magic Mirrallas ffs hurry up and get fit.

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Do you get a trophy for finnishing above Liverpool? When was the last time you won at Anfield? {Ed021's Note - Yawn

Agree0 Disagree0

Degsy we don't want to rush him back like we did last time and have him last 45 mins

Agree0 Disagree0

So next year is going to be your year?

if i had a pound for everytime i've heard that from RS i'd be a billionaire

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jan 2013 21:20:28
Wasnt rushing him back kidder, just wanting him back as soon as he is ready, this lad is gonna be massive, probably mean we will lose him though lol

How much longer will this cheat suarez keep getting away with stuff, he didnt even think that was a goal himself there today, he is an absolute disgrace.
hopefully what goes around, comes around!
Bad Karma Man!
COYB!

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Just Cant get enough..Obsessed not surprised what have Everton got anything good to sing about. {Ed025's Note - err..higher in the league, far more attractive football, loyal supporters...take your pick!..

Agree0 Disagree0

I love it when RS supporters come on our page, just shows me how much they aspire to be a great team like us and how obsessed they are haha. Plus they always get terrorised as they are not on the same intelligence level as us blues. Keep it coming Liverpool fans. Have to cheat to beat a non-league team!! :D

BitterBlue {Ed025's Note - guys...im not posting anything about the suarez incident, this is a site about everton, lets not give them the satisfaction..

Agree0 Disagree0

A Liverpool fan has just come onto our page and called us obsessed? Why are you on the page in the first place?

ToffeeMike

Agree0 Disagree0

I knew someone would post about this on here, why lower ourselves to the RS's standards? rise above it knowing we don't need to cheat to beat a non league club

Agree0 Disagree0

Does it really matter? Lets just beat Cheltenham and get into the next round. I know it's hard for most on here, but lets forget about Liverpool.

Forren will sign for £4m.
Pedro Leon will sign on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
David Moyes or Moyles as toffee ace always calls me

Moyes has said he only has enough money for a loan so y all these links for players that are gonna cost us millions we won't be byeing anyone this month

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Nice to see some optimism on here.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would moyes let managers/chairmen of other clubs know if we had say 10m to spend? they know that then they up their prices for players

Agree0 Disagree0

He also said that when we spent 15 million on Fellaini...............

TC

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasn't it the same with the Bilyaletdinov deal as well ? No cash and we spent £9.5m on him. Davey has some money, he's hardly gonna declare he has £10.76m exactly and he wants x.y and z. A couple in would do nicely

They sponsored themselves through a sister company for 400 million quid over 10 years mate, the FA wont question it becase they banked some of it themselves, it is being questioned by UEFA though and something may happen over it this year, possible, Champs league sanctions.

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

5 th place may get champions league then degz, if city get thrown out...

Agree0 Disagree0

So what if 5th gets champs league? we'll be 4th so makes no odds to us {Ed025's Note - love it mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jan 2013 16:03:56
Just been reading on a website that moyes has said that because of the £9.1m loss we only have enough money for 1 or 2 loan signings unless we sell. So if Heitinga goes we might be able to get Forren but not until then.

We don't want garbage like Charlie Austin. Jelavic was class the other night against Newcastle and with a bit more luck he would have a hat trick against Chelsea.

Bring Scott Sinclair in, when Mirallas comes back be great.

Oh and I hope he plays his strongest team tomorrow which includes Ross Barkley. Don't want a repeat of Leeds in the league cup

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Why bring scott sinclair in when he wouldn't be able to play? you can only play for 2 clubs a season and hes already played for swansea and city this season

What has happened to Jack Rodwell? On the verge of becoming an England regular, moves to city and dissapears. Sad really I always thought he would make a great centre back for us.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Hes injured again

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a cm thought

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodwell was always vastly overrated. I once thought he could make a really classy centre half but saw how poor his positional play and basic strength is.

In my view, Moyes gets better and better at management as not only does he get better at attracting new players who fit our style/ mentality - he has, very importantly learnt when to offload players and that is one of the major reasons why Fergie has always been so successful.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know but could see him developing into a great centre back is what I meant, jags came to us as a cm now look at him,

Agree0 Disagree0

He was great for England

People goin on about the team an the debt look bk 10-15 years an look how far we have come. We have got some great players an some potentially good youngsters. The debt is only 49mil a lot smaller than most in the prem. I still think moysey gt a trick up his sleave for this window aswell Coyb

Believable2 Unbelievable2

49m and dropping, it was up close to 60m not long ago

I'm not sure if Robert Elstone has gone into detail over this set of accounts for 2011/2012, but I found this to be an interesting read based on 2010/2011 figures.

http://www.evertonfc.com/evertoninteractive/where-the-money-goes

All I've heard via the press for year end 2012 is that TV income was down, attendances were down and salaries are now at an all time high of 75% of turnover. The average age of our team v Chelsea was 30 so if we don't make Champions league this year cash flow will be very tight for squad rebuilding too.
But we're Everton and we're playing some great football with some very exciting players. COYB

according to what the papers say today on the official website, we are in £49million debt!! how is this possible when we rarely buy anyone if we don't sell and we don't pay ridiculous wages?!?! no wonder we won't be taken over with that much debt and the fact we need a new stadium!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Part of that debt is a30 million working debt to paid off over a number of years like a mortgage .so the debt isn't a large one n remember that's not counting Augusts transfer window n new commercial deals n new season ticket sales .next years accounts should be much better so were really in the same position as we've been in sell a player a year if we want to do any business

Agree0 Disagree0

If your wages are 75% of your income and your income is 5 million less than your outgoings then that is why we are in debt. Compared to other clubs and given our inability because of our old stadium to raise more income we are doing pretty well.

Agree0 Disagree0

You will find 49 mil is 1 of the smallest debts in the league

Agree0 Disagree0

What's the overall debts of other clubs, Evertons is a manager able debt, this kind of debt won't b puttin buyers off .the problem is the people who run the club, apart from moyes name one decent decision they've made or one decent commercial or one decent sponsorship that's allowed us to buy a five million pound player .if u take moyes out of the equation imagine the trouble we be in .the crime is they've made us accept we're a selling club every transfer window fills us full of fear About losing players .feel like moyes leaves we will crumble were as teams like spurs finish 4 th n deem that red knapp isn't the man to push them on n sack him

Agree0 Disagree0

£49 million is nothing compared to other clubs, it's a manageable figure, nothing to be alarmed about. The doubling of TV money next year will be huge for us. Our turnover will increase by about £30m next year. They keep going on about wages being 75% blah blah... The board have done this because they know our turnover will be going up dramatically. Unforts though we don't have much in the pot now. But have read about foren and Leon in the papers today, would be great signings, the pair.

Agree0 Disagree0

Finch farm 40 mill a year, best in uk

Agree0 Disagree0

49m and dropping, it was more not so long ago
