Great to be so actively linked with players this window. Im all for improving the squad, however, not seen any names who would improve our first 11 as of yet. Forren will surely serve on the bench beneath jags and Distin. The wingers linked wont budge fully fit Pienaar and Mirallas. Baffled why we aren't being linked to centre midfield players.. We're absolutely dead in there without gibbo now! {Ed025's Note - i think your right..

Have patience, I'm sure DM has someone in mind, probably Vadis, though, personally, I'd love him to try to hijack the Holtby deal. He can leave now for just under £2m. If we're interested this is our chance

getting fed up with coming on here and seeing so many negative posts about having not signed anyone or we have no money or we are in 49m debt
firstly, so what if we haven't signed anyone, we are less than a week into the transfer window
secondly, we do have money to spend, moyes may of said we have no money to spend but he also said that before spending 15m on fellaini
thirdly, yes we have 49m debt, its alot of money to anyone outside of football but it is pocket change compared to the majority of premier league clubs debts and it is dropping, it was around 60m a few years ago!
far too many people are going off the accounts that were released this week and not understanding that they are from the 11/12 season and do not include the money from the cahill deal, the rodwell deal, the nike deal, season ticket sales for this season, and i have read that we have sold 3 times as many half season tickets this year as we did last year!
stop being so depressing and glum, we are in the best position we have been for years, we have some of the best players we have had for a long time, we are playing some of the best football we have played for a long time! we have beaten united and spurs this season already, gave city a fright and were unlucky not to take points off the champs league winners!
and we are flying high above the RS and have been all season!! {Ed021's Note - brilliant

I love it when RS supporters come on our page, just shows me how much they aspire to be a great team like us and how obsessed they are haha. Plus they always get terrorised as they are not on the same intelligence level as us blues. Keep it coming Liverpool fans. Have to cheat to beat a non-league team!! :D

We don't want garbage like Charlie Austin. Jelavic was class the other night against Newcastle and with a bit more luck he would have a hat trick against Chelsea.
Bring Scott Sinclair in, when Mirallas comes back be great.
Oh and I hope he plays his strongest team tomorrow which includes Ross Barkley. Don't want a repeat of Leeds in the league cup

Agree0

Rodwell was always vastly overrated. I once thought he could make a really classy centre half but saw how poor his positional play and basic strength is.
In my view, Moyes gets better and better at management as not only does he get better at attracting new players who fit our style/ mentality - he has, very importantly learnt when to offload players and that is one of the major reasons why Fergie has always been so successful.

I'm not sure if Robert Elstone has gone into detail over this set of accounts for 2011/2012, but I found this to be an interesting read based on 2010/2011 figures.
http://www.evertonfc.com/evertoninteractive/where-the-money-goes
All I've heard via the press for year end 2012 is that TV income was down, attendances were down and salaries are now at an all time high of 75% of turnover. The average age of our team v Chelsea was 30 so if we don't make Champions league this year cash flow will be very tight for squad rebuilding too.
But we're Everton and we're playing some great football with some very exciting players. COYB

according to what the papers say today on the official website, we are in £49million debt!! how is this possible when we rarely buy anyone if we don't sell and we don't pay ridiculous wages?!?! no wonder we won't be taken over with that much debt and the fact we need a new stadium!
Believable1
Unbelievable1
Part of that debt is a30 million working debt to paid off over a number of years like a mortgage .so the debt isn't a large one n remember that's not counting Augusts transfer window n new commercial deals n new season ticket sales .next years accounts should be much better so were really in the same position as we've been in sell a player a year if we want to do any business
Agree0
Disagree0
If your wages are 75% of your income and your income is 5 million less than your outgoings then that is why we are in debt. Compared to other clubs and given our inability because of our old stadium to raise more income we are doing pretty well.
Agree0
Disagree0
You will find 49 mil is 1 of the smallest debts in the league
Agree0
Disagree0
What's the overall debts of other clubs, Evertons is a manager able debt, this kind of debt won't b puttin buyers off .the problem is the people who run the club, apart from moyes name one decent decision they've made or one decent commercial or one decent sponsorship that's allowed us to buy a five million pound player .if u take moyes out of the equation imagine the trouble we be in .the crime is they've made us accept we're a selling club every transfer window fills us full of fear About losing players .feel like moyes leaves we will crumble were as teams like spurs finish 4 th n deem that red knapp isn't the man to push them on n sack him
Agree0
Disagree0
£49 million is nothing compared to other clubs, it's a manageable figure, nothing to be alarmed about. The doubling of TV money next year will be huge for us. Our turnover will increase by about £30m next year. They keep going on about wages being 75% blah blah... The board have done this because they know our turnover will be going up dramatically. Unforts though we don't have much in the pot now. But have read about foren and Leon in the papers today, would be great signings, the pair.
