if moyse had 50-60million to spend he still wouldnt bring in big names he would still bring in your cahills and bainse etc he isnt as serious as other managers he brings in little named players who blossem into great players thats why we need a new manager, ONLY if we get a takeover

tim cahill is a midfielder and its no coincidence that he has,t scored in a year when he,s playin up front. end of the day he used to get goals arriving late from mid when he,s up front he,s gettin picked up to much think moyes needs to sort it cause tim loves the club and i,d prefer someone playin who gives a f+&k than some of these pre madonnas like s**tinga if anyone needs to go this window it should be him....then i wont mind if moyes buys a defender but he knows the fans will not settle for anythin less than a decent striker and for barcley to get a run in the team...end of rant cheers

Worst fears are true. Moyes says he is going to have to think about altering his transfer plans with injury to Jags. No chance of a striker then.....
Lets hope there's an ounce of truth in any of these takeover rumours, but I seriously doubt it. Looks like it's going to get worse before it gets better. Hope I'm wrong....... AbergeleBlue {Ed025's Note - it does not sound very promising does it abergele..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Drop Heitinga into central defence. When Barkley is back bloomin use him in midfield! Or maybe Bily in the meantime, central midfield is his natural position give him at shot at it! (saying that I'm not Bily's biggest fan, I just want a striker!, there's the solution) {Ed025's Note - yes it is

Moyes has come out with he may have to rethink the transfers now jags out .......get a grip mr negative WE NEED A STRIKER ..the reason ya defenders are hurt is cos the ball keeps coming back so quick and they over worked ..sooner we all suss moyes the negative then we can get back to the happy times again !

Wowww! i went to the game on wednesday, first game ive been to since the stoke game at home, where i decided not to waste my money watching awful football! but after a hard fought away win at WBA and donovan coming in i thought come on blues new year and our usual 2nd half pick up in form! i left the game when it went 2-1 i have never left a game early in the 27 years ive been going the game. it was actually embarassing to watch before the game you could sence that the mood was decent and people were feeling optimistic for once then we all saw heitinga and neville in centre mid, its not the 2 players fault so we shouldnt slag them off but ask why does moyes play 2 defenders in the middle at home v bottom of the league? osman are most effective player over xmas stuck left wing! we were pathetic and bolton out classed us in bad conditions! i was so annoyed driving home! IMO saha is done here get rid! cahill should be playing deeper and barkley and gueye need more game time. survival is our target im afraid! {Ed025's Note - it does seem that the light at the end of the tunnel...has been switched off!..

Jc here, look at the everton video on sky sports news, moyse says we need 2 bring in 2 new players in. But then he says now we are short on centre backs now jags is injured. It also says it looks like he has to do a loan deal to bring people in. It's there in black and white from the managers mouth, kenwright has lied about the arteta money, e all fell for his crap again. What do u think bout this ed {Ed025's Note - nothing he does surprises me now jc...but if he does not come across with any dosh, the blue union will have a field day!..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Belfast toffee we should all know by now not to listen to bk he beter lower the price of the club and go if he loves everton as much as he says {Ed025's Note - but can you see that happening?..

Agree0 Disagree0

Belfast toffee no ed cant see it happening but cant understand how other clubs have been took over and we havnt has to be the price cant be anything else we our 1 of the best clubs in the world with the best fans in the world or does bk not want to sell {Ed025's Note - it your last point that is right belfast...he wants an investor. someone who will plough in money, but with him still at the helm!..

i feel so sorry for tim cahill, he is being very poorly managed at everton this season and doesn't deserve it one bit, the man is a legend and has put his body on the line every season for us, he loves the club, cares about the fans and even though he hasn't been scoring this season he never goes hiding in games like other players have done this season! the poor mangement im talking about is the fact that its clearly not working with him playing up top and its killing his confidence, what does moyes do? sends him out upfront it doesnt work so drops him for a game, the next game? puts him back in upfront, doesnt work, drops him again and then comes out publicly and says he dropped cahill to get a reaction to see if he can score again! thats poor management from moyes! the lads confidence is short and the pressure is on him every game, to keep playing him and then dropping him and then putting him back in then coming out in press is stupid he needs to help him, maybe play him centre mid take the burden off him

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Dead right mate, he isn't a forward and its unfair to judge on that
when he plays in midfield he always gives 120% and is much more mobile than neville and heitinga- wella

Agree0 Disagree0

Tims a warrior mate...but it looks like hes got to many miles on the clock..to brave for his own good he went three years without a summer break...its starting to show..transatlantic travel down under takes it out of you when your on holiday never mind playing football..give him a rest then start him on the bench give him something to prove he might come good still only 32.................g

Agree0 Disagree0

Tim cahill is everton through and through,he defo dont deserve any stick of the fans,

Agree0 Disagree0

His goals have been crucial for us in the past but I don't think he is a good midfielder player. Timing and finishing is his strength, great leap and scored some crucial goals. But let's face it, goals have dried up but that's all he was good at. Can't tackle, can't pass, does not get on the ball and make things happen as a central midfielder. Never question his commitment to the cause be he aint as good a player as people make out. Sub as an impact player is the best he can offer now.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think u may find that if everton did not have the following we now do in australia then tim would not be getting a game/part game on current form.

Agree0 Disagree0

He's rubbish and a big headed aussie, get rid

Agree0 Disagree0

Saha, Cahill are finshed as is Neville. He was crap from day one. Manager has also had his day, get rid now, won't happen but really needs too. I'd rather watch attacking, attractive football and be bottom of the league than this boring, predictable s**te we get every week. school of science. Paul {Ed025's Note - unfortunately paul, we are not in a position to get rid of anyone!...our squad is down to the bare bones as it is!

JM {Ed025's Note - thats well good enough..

just been on the everton website and seen the injury list, at this rate we may need to borrow a couple of players from Tamworth, on saturday, to field a team {Ed025's Note - if we get really desperate...we could always play billy..;0)

does anyone really think we will sign anyone and does anyone think a takeover will happen i for one am a realist and i think the answer is no to both what are your thoughts {Ed025's Note - im with you..

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Thanks ed at least someone talking sense every day i check this site everton site bbc sport sky news its getting boring we need to do something fast,

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm with you mate. I want a takeover to happen so badly but, in my heart of hearts, I know nothing is going to happen. Hopefully we can get a striker in but knowing Billy Bullsh*tter Kenwright I know that's not going to happen either. I think Tamworth will be a make or break moment for us this season. We either win by a good margin and get the lads confindance up or lose and the lads hit a new low, ending our season very early indeed! We can only wait and see.

Everton Al. {Ed025's Note - we will whack them al...

Agree0 Disagree0

100% per cent sadly true. No investor will want to buy us for that inflated price. Unless a takeover doesn't happen, we are on a horrible downward spiral heading towards the championship and beyond. Hate saying that, but that is the horrible reality. {Ed025's Note - lets hope it does not come to that..

My thoughts on our current team, apologies if i miss anyone out:
Howard - Spot on
Baines - Loves the club, Superstar
Distin - I like the guy, another good year out of him
Jags - Born leader, sometimes makes mistakes
Hibbert - Cover for Coleman
Coleman - Get your defensive head on and slot into right back, could be awesome
Neville - Need to keep for a couple of years if only for his presence in the dressing room alone.
Felli - Cool, calm, like the guy
Rodwell - Gets better and better, please stay fit for a while will ye
Drenthe - SIGN HIM UP NOW
Osman - two more excellent years out of the guy
Vellios - Keep for minimum 2 more years and see how he goes
Stracq - Keep on loan until summer at least
Saha - BYE BYE, no fight to win a game at all
Anichebe - Give until summer then offload if no huge improvement
Barkley - GET HIM ON THE PITCH FOR GODS SAKE
Donovan - I would sign him yesterday if I could
Cahill - Give until next Jan transfer window 2013 at least
Heitinga - Keep as an emergency cover, something is better than nothing
Guaye - More play time needed
McFadden - Why bring him back, too fat, useless
Bily - wanted rid but one last chance Bily, gonna put you behind the striker in the middle for two matches only, if no improvement a size nine right up your arse and a one way ticket outa here.

Think that's it guys, give us your opinions and changes.

Oh yeh banker for tomorrow - Everton 2 Tamworth 0, First goal Vellios, if not playing throw it on Straq

Good work derek.the only thinc i dont agree with is mcfadden, hes good at holding the balls up,and shielding the balls, also he uses his backside to keep the defenders off very well i think he does exstra training practising this art............g

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't agree with Cahill either, just look at Juventus offloading Del Piero when he clearly loves and wants to stay at the club. Tim loves the club and yes, he isn't playing too well over the last year, but don't sell him. He would fall out with the club, we wouldn't get much for him and he wouldn't be truely put down in the history books.

JM {Ed025's Note - i have said all along..he can still play a part, as a back-up, or impact substitute!..

Ed, serious question and i don't mean this in a rude tone but considering you're so upset with moyes at the moment, I just want to know what you would do. You say he makes the wrong decisions so what would you do? Let's say we have 5 mil to spend now. What would you do in january and what would be your starting team for the rest of the season? What formation, what players in/out. {Ed025's Note - its not just moyes im not happy with, the chairman the coaches and also the players have to take some responsibility as well!...i see our biggest problem as our midfield..too slow, immobile and lacking vision, the best teams play pass and move football..we play pass and stand still, our one striker is out of form, and looks cheesed off with the lack of quality service. our best players are rarely played together, drenthe, osman, barkley, fellaini, for me this midfield are the best we have, rodwell and fellaini are too similar to play together!..another striker, and a creative midfielder are a must, but unless money is made available, its a waste of time speculating who i would bring in!...the defence i can live with, and our keeper is 1st class, ..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Ed - I think Howard is a good keeper - but - have you/others noticed how he seems to get beaten by very similar goals quite often? the ones that are curled away from him across the penalty spot / box into the far side netting, lowish down?

I'm not saying it's necessarily a weak spot - maybe he's just great at everything else - but when I see an opposing player around the 18 yard box shaping up to shoot into the far netting I always fear the worst - and those shots often go in :(

maybe something to work on?

(his decision making of 'when to come and when to stay' is sometimes a bit dodgy too) {Ed025's Note - i think the keeper situation is the least of our worries mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Ed i agree with every word you say

Toffeemike

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers Ed agree with you on a lot of that. What have you made of Saha's season, everyone seems to be disgusted with him but i really don't see why. I think he's been class with his touch on the ball for us up the ground, our midfield really just needs to get him into more attacking positions. Hows a midfield of gueye-osman-fellaini-drenthe with vellios and Saha? Do you think osman should be playing behind the striker or is two up front the best shout? And which 2? Tough to find the second haha. Sorry forgetting to put my name

AussieBlue {Ed025's Note - to be honest aussie, louis has been poor, he has been starved of help from the midfield, and this has led to him snatching at chances, there is too big a gap between the midfield and attacker, instead of them being one unit!. 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 makes no difference, its about working together, the lack of mobility of our midfield has stifled us, for me its the fault of the manager and coach, landon will make a difference, but we still need a creative midfielder with a bit of pace, and a forward...
