Ed. Got asked today who I would pick as my player of the season. Couldn't really answer the question.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - its a hard one tedster, probably between lukaku and jags for me mate, but im sure ossie will get one vote at least.. :)

06 May 2015 00:01:04
Nobody stood out 4 me been poor in every dept

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree jonsey, but if you were pushed and had to pick one...who would it be?..

06 May 2015 05:33:06
Tbf Lennon has done more than half of them in a few months haha

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he has done well Tmh, if it was player of the last 3 months im sure he would be up there mate..

06 May 2015 06:30:35
I would have to go for McCarthy or Jags. If pushed would be Jimmy Mac. He always gives 100% and even when ir wasnt going well he was always putting himself about and working hard. Jags has been the same but James just shades it imo

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - fair pick that gray..

06 May 2015 08:07:38
Actually Ed. Ossie missed too much of the season. and was not particularly good. We just win games with him in the team. It must be that we miss his link up play from defence to attack. I think I would go for Lukaku or Jags. Both had poor stages. but so did the whole team. Jags has finished the stronger but Lukaku has been good in blips.

McArthy all the way for me, Lukaku still learning and jeez someone needs to work on him with his first touch in pre-season. Hope Martinez uses the time well at least there is no World Cup holiday. Oh and whatever you all do, use your heads and don't vote Labour.

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - this is not a political site DM...but voting conservative to a working man is suicide...all started by that witch thatcher, ding dong..

06 May 2015 10:04:15
Leighton Baines for me. 9 assists and 2 goals (that's 11 goals or 25% of league goals contributed) in the league this season. In comparison Lukaku has contributed to 9 goals and 4 assists (13) and he's our striker. Any right or left back in the world would be pleased with them stats.

People talk about Garbutt but he's got a pair of big boots to fill if he does get in the team.

Besic although he has not played as much as some, when he does he looks like one of our better players every time if not him then Baines

Player of the Year = Joel Robles

Next year it will be Tom Cleverley.

Young player = John Stones

{Ed025's Note - you do make me smile mike..

06 May 2015 17:50:51
That response Ed almost makes me want to go and support Liverpool.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - surely nothing can be that bad DM, i wont hold being a tory against you mate, we will have to agree to disagree on politics fella.. :)

POTY for me is McCarthy always gives everything for the team never stops running. A mention should also go to naisy whose harcwork and great attitude helped us allot earlier in the season. YPOTY Stones he has .learnt allot this season.Garbutt and Besic may have given him a run for his money but not enough game time and Barclay has been hot and cold all season a big season for him next year . GOTS has to be jags 30 yard screamer in the last minutes of the derby it was a great goal and saved me from some serious stick. PLONKER of the season is a toss up between Rm who seemed to loose his way this year. no settled team or formation has had the fans and I suspect the players questioning his methods and rightly so .Or the enigma that is Km we just never got to see the best of a player who is a reel threat and the pen saga earlier in the season might just give him the edge I will leave that one down to you Ed

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - plonker of the season is a hard one Am8, lots of contenders there, but bobby shades it for me for turning CL contenders into a side that looked possible relegation candidates 6 weeks ago mate..

I've got to give a little bit of credit to Martinez for his after match conference. I honestly think he is starting to take a bit of notice.

A change in tactics recently and not painting a pretty picture of the first half on Saturday is pleasing. I also thought that his press conference against Everton was a bit more realistic as well.

Still a huge way to go to win me back but it's something we have all gone on about for two years and it sounds like he is finally getting what we are about and what we need - honesty!

The arrogant connman, would never consider an analysis, where he may have some responsibility, FRAUD, FRAUD, FRAUD. Just wonder, how much damage this man has to do for Bill to grow a set and get rid?

For those who might say ,

RM kept us in the PL , RM motivated the players, RM nearly won the EL.

Hmmm, Errr, Nope, I don't think so!

The disgruntled players and fans kept us from the drop!

The stronger willed members of the squad geed up the team and probably looked like throwing their hair dryers at one target in particular!

The Europa League was thrown away because of a manager tactically out of his depth and shock horror Alcaraz ffs :(

and we have Mr Roberto Martinez next season omg!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - well thats cheered us all up 247..cheers.. :)

06 May 2015 09:02:33

Woh, woh, woh.

I said I would give him a bit of credit for an honest assessment of the first half of Saturday and his change in tactics recently, all of which, are 6 months too late for me. It is though a nice change from everything being Phenomenal.

I didn't say the messiah had returned! haha

''I didn't say the messiah had returned! haha''

Lol BlueJohn :)

That would have meant men in white coats and straight jacket at the ready ,

Seriously though mate, I think it was you who first mentioned Floyd Hasselbaink's interview?

When RM repeats the word flexible constantly in his pm match talks then I'll start listening to him again.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - he is as flexible as concrete 247..

06 May 2015 10:18:57
''he is as flexible as concrete 247. ''

Yep as in 'crazy paving'!

i.e. haphazard and totally irregular :(
