See the press are moving RM, to spurs. Why no report of an aprpoch for brenda. PS. unless barca turn up with an offer he will be going nowhere, i'm sure that the only offer that might tempt him. Seems to be a man with principals, something else MR moyes could learn from him.

They want to take advantage of us missing out on top four? didn't know spurs had qualified like?

Hey eds, I have a proposed 6/7 players that I feel are realistic targets.

1. A replacement for Distin whose legs will be slow Bruno indi martens.
2. Pienaar to be sold and bring in a loan signing Christian Atsu.
3. Goes w/out saying sign Barry on a perm.
4. Brahimi, may be a risk, unknown quantity but comes recommended.
5. BONY, BONY. So good he named him twice.
6.Traore on loan and 7. Someone like Jay Rodriguez or Kostas Mitroglou. I don't know about Rodriguez would cost a pretty penny but the other (Mitroglou) might go cheap leaving a relegated team.

Well what do you think of that ed.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - some really good players there EB, we wont get them all of course..but a couple of them would do very nicely mate..

05 May 2014 23:51:56
Distin has another season left in him, replacement not needed yet not to mention browning being ready next season, behrami is a good player, i'd take traore again as long as we play to his strengths and don't hoof it up to him, rodriguez was having a good season, one good season, slightly overrated imo, bony deffo, barry deffo, mitroglou is poor, dead slow and woeful first touch (not just off fulham as I know he has been injured but at olympiakos, not good enough) and atsu is fast, close control is okay, see how he does on loan, good list mate

Gayle has cost them league, we cost them the league, the only ones they haven't blamed is themselves. So so typical Stevie G and his mates just not good enough, FACT.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The ref was a blue, we didn't try against citah, gayles a communist, etc, etc. Or maybe the reds have bottled it.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 May 2014 00:06:45
The ref was a blue? Clattenburg? Talk about clutching at straws

Agree0 Disagree0

When people put FACT at the end of their opinion, do they realise it doesn't make it so?

We'll well well not 1 of Evertons goals on ssn goal of the season hmmmm I rest my case.

I can't fathom how Barkley's goal against Newcastle isn't in there. That's the goal of the season!

Sooooooo gutted to see the red rubbish throw away a 3 goal lead against palace. Most probably they will try and blame that on us as well. Been a cracking season and RM has totally exceeded all expectations. When he says that we can challenge for the league, it is something with the right transfers that we can have a shot at. As has been said a few times on this site, the future is bright, the future is blue!

Yannick bolasie is definetly worth having a look at IMO, I know it has been said on here before but he has ridiculous pace, strength and great skill, if anyone saw the liverpool match first of all ha lolololololololol and second he was on fire, if anyone can get him at that consistent level then it would be Martinez

Believable0 Unbelievable0

AGREED. We should look at this kid every time I've watched him he looks class. Tore us to shreds, same last night, he's had glimpses all season but his ability is there for all to see, Roberto could polish him up could have a star. Also fan of Jedinak. If Barry doesn't sign, this guy is of similar mould has had a great season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have been to a few palace games over the course of the year and I went last night ( as a palace fan of course )! Bola sie is insane he is strong quick skilful and has an eye for goal! His one poor attribute is his passing but I believe with Roberto he would improve massively on that forefront! It's rumoured that Pienaar maybe leaving so I feel Bolasie would be a perfect replacement.

That woz hilarious!
People had a go about us losing to Palace and blaming us for not beating Man City.
Well that performance puts it to rest.

One more game left for Suarez then before he leaves. That was tears of joy from Suarez thinking of his Real Madrid pay packet!

Sorry for being cynical.

Ed, any reason why my post regarding comments made by Skys disgusting commentary team about our supporters was pulled?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i have not been on much today oli, some other ed will have dealt with it, have a look on the "other posts" page..or the "dodgy posts" page, and if not, if you re-post it i will look at it mate..

Yeah it's there sorry Ed. Probs best place for it actually. Cheers

{Ed025's Note - no probs oli..

It's in the other posts mate. Don't think I've ever agreed more with a post. Did we roll over and lose 5-0!

Is the interest in Song from Barcelona real or do you think its just a hopeful rumour? I personally think his wage demands would be a little too high for us to make a move.

Also does anyone have any idea who we are likely to move on this year? I heard Robles is heading back to Spain as he wants to be number 1, and I think surely Kone must be shown the door. He may have done well for us but spending an entire season out gave the chance to Naismith and we're in the market for a Lukaku replacement so that leaves no chance for Kone to play. Also I see Pienaar, Alcaraz and Hibbert leaving.

If all go they wouldn't generate much in the way of transfer funds but would free up vital wage budgets.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - not much chance of song RBF, i expect kone and alcaraz to stay, and for hibbo to get a 1 year extension mate

Bit harsh launching Kone for being injured

Anyone know how duffy got on this season? Did he do well for yeovil or crap? Same with pennington, anyone know how they got on?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - apparently duffy done really well swan, not sure on pennington though..

I live in wirral and I have friends who go watch tranmere and say he is decent player and when they had him and mathew kendey recalled I said who would u rather have back on loan they said pentigition as kendey wasnt that good and pentigon scored on weekend but they still went down which is a shame

Agree0 Disagree0

Got a friend who is a Yeovil season ticket holder swears Duffy has been the best player by far Premier League quality and not put a foot wrong.

some interesting players available on free transfers, and good squad players in my opinion
Paul Robinson(GK), very experienced and could be very useful for the Europa League.
Chris Brunt (MF) always impressed against us, good work rate.
Jack Colback (MF) constantly linked with us anyway.
Diego (Wolfsburg) Quality playmaker, could be a stellar signing

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Five good forward who I'd also look at on a free:
Ya Konan (Hannover 96)
Batafimi Gomis (Lyon)
Diego Milito (Inter Milan)
Eric Chupo-Moting (Fc Mainz)
Mame Briam Diouf (Hannover 96)

Agree0 Disagree0

05 May 2014 13:27:56
Paul robinson is crap, never liked him even when he was englands first choice, brunt has a sweet left foot but is very slow and limited in his ability, wouldn't get a game, colback I would take, works hard, agile and isn't afraid to get stuck in, diego has already gone to athletico

Agree0 Disagree0

Paul Robinson and Chris Brunt? No thanks mate, I know your only looking at frees but sometimes the less they cost the worse they are. Both terrible players and would never improve us. Colback could do well because he's versatile and Diego is a class act

Agree0 Disagree0

Milito hasn't gone to Athletico, i'd sign him in a heartbeat, pure class.

For those who can get there.they have moved the statue of a certain William Ralph Dean to Walton Lane. This is its original position. It is to celebrate his 60th goal of an amazing season which happened exactly 86 years ago. The launch is 3pm today. I am down in Devon but will be there in heart and soul. I was fortunate enough to once meet the great man and that is something I will remember for ever. How we could do with another Dixie now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

It was moved from Walton Lane because on several occasions some person threw red paint over it the night before before the derby. I only hope that trend doesn't start again now Dixie`s back where he should be.
It's also very sad that the greatest footballer this county's ever produced ended up as the caretaker at Litltlewoods Pools, that would never happen in this day and age.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nahh, it was moved to make way for that supposed new building of offices and retail outlet. Which never happened due to a lot of conspiracu theories, main one being it was aproved and set to be built when someone realised we didn't have a pot to pi.

Remy was in the stands at the gooners yesterday so that's where he's going next season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 May 2014 13:29:19
They can have him, good player but injury prone, loves himself and can't use his left foot, bony! Bony!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bony for me too. This guy will score 30 a season in the right team.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bony for me too.if we had the chance of lukaku, bony and remy i'd have to take bony.hes scored almost as many goals as other 2 put together.think swansea would want anywhere between 20 and 30 million quid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually I can tell you for a fact that whilst Remy was at Emirates yesterday it was actually to talk to a different club. I wasn't able to get the name of this club but his delegates def were not talking to Arsenal.

This is probably the most important transfer window ever for us. I will try and keep Swan happy by saying things in a positive way. We need to secure Barry. We need to secure or find a replacement for Lukaku. We need to sign 6 or 7 new players and probably release a couple too. This is going to be a monumental task for the club and we need to make sure the players we bring in are BETTER than what we are replacing. Bony would be ideal for me (I said this when he signed for Swansea) but I understand Arsenal are after him. This will inflate his fee somewhat. But I would be delighted to get him. Probably a couple of promising kids from lower leagues/other leagues. Colback would be good too. As for the rest, it is difficult signing 1 or 2.never mind 6 or 7. The first team squad is likely to consist of a few new faces next season. let's hope they can all be sorted with a few weeks to spare to give them time to settle in.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Colback would do, no, would do is not good enough and neither is Colback even on a free.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dero Colback is a younger version of Barry except he has a better engine. Him and Macca would work very well together mate.

Hi lads, sat here and i'm quite bored tbh so I thought i'd post a few things, unfortunately this will be a long post so this is a warning, don't read on if you don't want to, you may get bored, anyway, what a season its been, our highest ever points total, still in with chance of top four with 3 games left and we have had so many injuries, incredible, been going games all my life, got my first seasin ticket in 04, didn't get another one until 2012-12 season but attended as many matches as possible, I've seen a good few matches, duncs winner over Man Utd, us beating them 3-1, 3-0 over liverpool and dan goslings late winner in the cup, then there is the man city game when gibbo scored, the 2-0 last season, both great games but for me the best game I have experienced was the 3-0 over arsenal this season, why? I was relaxed, how simple is that? I watched us play all game with a big smile on my face, everything went well, under moyes, and i'm not having a go, when we played teams like city, arsenal and chelsea at home I was always scared, now, under el tactico I am looking forward to each and every game, this season has had many highs and a couple of lows, this season has produced some great moments (oviedo baby!) and some forgettable moments (sturridge makes it four!), we have seen the improvement of seamus cafu coleman, ross the boss barkley, john maldini stones, tim moses howard and to an extent sylvain semi skimmed distin, players such as alcatraz, speedy mcgeady and concede a goal joel have all been brought in and played a fair number of games and 2 have recieved unfair criticism, mcgeady especially I mean ed and degsy are guilty of this after he made 2 sub appearences, he, imo has been a good signing and done well in every game, overall it doesn't matter, we have had a very good season, I love this club, I love everything about everton and I cannot wait until next season, the eds have been terrific or as bobby would say, phenominal all season, well done lads and to my fellow posters, we may share 'banter' and the odd argument but at the end of the day we all love everton, let's beat hull and look forward to europe next season, well done eds, lads and everton on a fantastic seasin for this great clubs, the future is bright, the future is blue, COYB!, everloan aren't we?

Enjoyed that Swan, just think the Stella has confused you slightly kidder.

Defo not got 3 games left

Agree0 Disagree0

I enjoyed reading that post, very very good Swan, spoken like a true and loyal supporter.

But did you have to mention the 3-0 Arsenal match? Lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brilliant post Swan. Love it! .and you misunderstood my comments on McGeady.I still think the jury is out. but will admit he is improving as he settles in. I would be happier if he scored the odd goal though! Keep posting and keep disagreeing with me if you think I am wrong.I can take it on the chin as they say.

Agree0 Disagree0

Like the post Swan

Agree0 Disagree0

Swan that's a great post. Dagger G I'm starting to think you might be a closet blue, have you thought about changing allegiance? There's nothing quite like being blue mate, would also save you a bit of pain next season for the other 3-0s :-) and besides, that champions league is so last year.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol, thanks for the invite Oli, but if its ok with you i'm going to remain a Red, lol.

Think RM will rest any of the players likely to be off to Brazil against Hull including Lukaku who thanked all the fans for their support this season last night.
C'mon RM, play Tony Hibbert as centre forward, you never know (or at least let him take any penalties that might occur)!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

04 May 2014 22:24:21

For the game against hull I would go with.
Howard
Coleman stones browning garbutt

Mcarthy baines
Delboy ledson Mcgeady
Barkley
I know jags is the captain but would leave him out so it doesn't ruin his World Cup and give the young guns ago and hive baines ago in this role he's been talking about and with Barkley up front and can stop a ball dead unlike lukaku where his second touch is always a tackle because he's got a touch of a giant. Thoughts guys?

Thanks

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Martinez wants to win all his games and get as many points as possible. So can't see him playing a weak side. He could rest Jags, but if he wants to be fit for WC then he needs to play.
