Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

with the transfer money from last year and the extra cash FRom t.v this year surly we are not going to be scraping round this summer, Bobby is going to the world cup as a pundit I really want Kenwright to back him and allow him to bring in a few TOP signings this year not hopefuls or loan players, we all know there is money for godsake let's spend some, and soon so they can be ready for the start of the season without having to stress on deadline day!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The problem is Dazweeb, that all the clubs have this wad of cash. The Champions League teams have probably 3 times more than us. Look at the figures Chelski and even Liverpool are throwing at their squads. Then there is the rest of us. ie all the rest of the Premiership teams have wheelbarrow loads of money. So why should they sell their best players? I predict that the Champions League teams (all over Europe) will take their pick of available players. Then the Europa teams like us will have a slightly better chance than the rest of signing a player. I think agents will have to be even more manipulative than ever trying to force moves through. I add that some players will have to forgive their 10% in order to force through transfers. We will all be nervous wrecks and it will all happen at the last minute. Some will miss out and fall through. Normal transfer window I guess!

The one good thing is that premier league clubs can now outbid a lot of other European clubs - and arsenal Chelsea Liverpool man city can only have so many players in their team
Means we can maybe get some players who are almost as good as what the champs league teams get and fit them in around jags baines Coleman Barkley McCarthy etc who are as good as what the champs league teams have got - I think we are 4-5 players away from having a champs league standard team / squad

Fingers crossed that bobbys magic brings in those extra few players :)

Wholeheartedly agree Latchfordlad. Great post

My thoughts on England last night best attacking display from us in years by a long distance finely 2 players that ran at there defenders beating a man, we looked a real threat going forward at last, and yet Hodgson comments on barkley was wrong so very wrong against Peru we were poor creating nothing a solo goal from Sturridge which came out of nothing and that's nothing against him but he done that alone and 2 from corners a good header and a bad defensive goal to give away on the 3 rd but the score line took away what was a game that gave me no hope as a fan and then we get a performance of brilliant attacking play last night and they will start on bench against Italy I don't care barkley has to start as he showed how running at players is what will have defenders running scared Italy will hope he is on the bench as they will rather be marking wellbeck and others rather than barkley running at them. What do you boys reckon should barkley be starting for England?. , .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - as an everton supporter..yes, as an england supporter im not sure TBmetz, he does some great things at times, but then has periods where he looks lost, for me being honest, i would probably start him on the bench..

For me Englands front 4 have to be
Sterling Barkley The Ox
Sturridge
Don't care about their international experience they are the 4 players in the best form and they have the pace and energy to scare teams. (If Ox is injured Rooney can play LW)

Agree0 Disagree0

Quinny, I agree totally. Yes it's a bit of a risk fielding such a young inexperienced attack but these players are what we have been missing for me. They know how to beat a man, offer pace and power mixed in with technical ability. Rooney has had enough chances at international level, yes he has been unlucky in the past but for me Barkley and sturridge both go in ahead of him. I hope he starts Barkley in a stronger squad for the last friendly and put rooney on the bench. Compare the two performances in the no.10 role, Barkley was much better. Youth is the way forward in this world cup for me, we have enough experience in CM, defence and GK. I think the notion that Rooney has an indefinite position in the England team is terrible. He will probably kick off, but you want your players to contribute to the team and not deliver to them what they think is their god given right despite form saying otherwise. He scored a tap in in the box after Lambert hit the post in a friendly, I would hardly take that to be him getting into prolific form. Yes Barkley was sometimes quiet, but to expect him to do what he did, all game is far too high expectations, not just for him but for all of our players. There was no player on that pitch that shone all the way through the match. For me he was man of the match. Yes sometimes he didn't always make the correct decision but I saw that from experienced players who don't offer as much flair and individual brilliance. This was meant to be a one sentence reply, haha.

Your poll on Dave Biggar appears to suggest that a majority of people don't think he will be missed. Let me tell you, they are wing and the loss of Dave Biggar will come back to shunt the club. This man has almost single-handedly transformed the marketing strategy and success of Everton over the last four years. He has re-negotiated and significantly improved the Chang, Kitbag and kit company deals, as well as overseeing significant increases in all areas of ticket sales, corporate hospitality and other significant revenue earning streams for the club. Rest assured and mark my words, his loss is MASSIVE

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are you Dave's mum by any chance?

Agree0 Disagree0

"DAVE is that you?" - exploit from max and paddy

Agree0 Disagree0

Can totally agree with your comments. I think Roberto has had a major impact on image of Everton. He is the reason for the increase in season tickets, the club had a major marketing disaster last year with the new badge and the fans, Chang deal continues but given the positive image of us last year, it still is way behind other teams in the top eight of the league achieved. Kitbag, we have all raged about not being to be able to buy kit, quality etc. what this guy has not done is bring new investment through marketing, that's why he is going.

Agree0 Disagree0

Op are you having a laugh the kitbag deal has been absolute nightmare and the attendances have been the same for years, I'm looking foward to wearing Umbro for the next 5 years thanks a lot dave

Bids for Ross Barkley are going to be flying at us this summer, but I feel we will keep him, if he takes off again this season I can really see this again next year a well he ours so it's up to us what we decide, but have to get him tied down to a long contract ASAP.

Would you swop Ross Barkley for a brand new 60,000 seater stadium?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No way pedro.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd loan him for 6 months maybe a season

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes because the stadium will be there a lot longer, won't ever get injured, and won't bugger off when the money is right.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this a serious question and the people answering no is it tongue in cheek if thr answers are yes and no respectavley then here is the truth. My answer is yes, 300 million plus for a new stadium that would be here for a hundred years for a player that will leave in a few years for bigger and better things? Sorry if this sounds harsh . But don't be so utterly stupid by saying he is worth more than a brand new stadium. Sometimes I despair I really do

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said paddock the club needs a new stadium a hell of a lot more than any player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is that what Chelsea and other possible suitors for Barkley offering nowadays? Could happen as I have heard that Chelsea have hired Bob the Builder as a new executive director.

That was Ross on his full England debut, he had a great game, close to being motm I would say, maybe they don't want him to get too carried away . but hey what a player he is now, his value if he plays in the finals will be £50m

Fair play to kone staying at finish farm over the summer to prove himself. You might say it's the least he can do after missing a season but there's not that many footballers are dedicated to their club these days.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

But he has been on holiday since September and he is paid 40k a week, the least I'd expect from a player

Agree0 Disagree0

Dead right Quinny. Hat off to the lad he doesn't have to do it

Agree0 Disagree0

He hasn't been on holiday since September, what a ridiculous statement! He has been very unfortunate to have his first season for his new club snatched away, having to see his new team mates having a brilliant season without being able to contribute and feel part of the success. It has been a disaster for him as he wants to play and be involved in the clubs success. It is above and beyond the typical expectations for a player, and he deserves respect for that, as he shows, passion, commitment and desire to do his best for our beloved club. I'm proud to have Kone playing for team. Good ability as well as attitude.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets just hope he can play because at the moment all he's offered is a miss from 5 yards out

Just a question.

Is this new stadium talk just talk. I know it's World Cup time but surely someone must know something about it. And 1 last thing. I reckon we will recruit new players who are not even speculated and mentioned. Martinez I believe is shrewd and cunning and is playing his cards very close to his chest.
Ps Go the Aussies in the World Cup but I reckon we will end up with the worst record in this tournament.
So therefore go England for the Everton boys.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think the new stadium and investment rumour could possibly be true, however it all came about around season ticket renewal time so who knows

If I was Ross Barkley I would be raging over the comments made by Hodgeson last night.
At no point does this guy show any encouragement or praise for the lads performance.
What's the matter Woy is he overshadowing some of your southern superstars?
To say Ross has to improve his decision making without any reference to the fact that the lad was head and shoulders over most of the more experienced players on the pitch is damn bad management.
If Ross was a cocky little bar steward fair enough, flatten him down.
But he's not and those comments might have flattened the lads confidence in the run into the finals.
What a load of wubbish!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think he is just trying to take pressure off Ross, he is trying to stop the media creating too much hype.

Agree0 Disagree0

Roy Hodgson acknowledged there were 'some very good things' to take out of Ross Barkley's performance in England's 2-2 draw against Ecuador.

"There were some very good things, " replied Hodgson when quizzed on Barkley's display. "He's an exciting talent as we know."

The England boss added: "There were moments when he could have made better decisions on when to turn and when to keep the ball but that's understandable. We know that and that's what we work with him on.

And Hodgson accepts that the Everton man is continuing to adjust to international football.

"But the one thing we can certainly state is that he came into the game on his first start for England as a 20-year-old.

Agree0 Disagree0

Roy Hodgson said the other week that statistics don't mean anything. Well Ross Barkley had a 91% pass completion rate and had the most touches of any forward player. What was that Roy. He gave the ball away too much?. What a complete nuub.

Agree0 Disagree0

I've just read Hodgson thinks Wilshere and Jones were outstanding against Ecuador. Did we play them twice because he must have been watching a bloody different game to the one I watched.

Agree0 Disagree0

What Hodgson or maybe "hedge son" said was absolutely true. Similar to his Everton season. Martinez dropped him when he went off the boil and he rates him highly. I would worry far more about the right back position which both players were atrocious. Barkley will be an impact player in the world cup provided he is allowed to make an impact.

Just wanted to state my excitement. David villa signed to Melbourne for a 10 game guest stint. What an honour to have him in the A League and what a huge step forward for Australian football.

Don't really know what Jack Wilshire offers at all really don't, to me he is crap complete bull I know it's harsh but for a young player with so much hype around him I just don't see it but then again maybe I'm blind anyway.Ross Barkley is ten times better.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hasn't really progressed since his debut injuries haven't helped quite like Rodwell actually

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed. He reminds me of a little fast kid who never quite gets the ball under control. He stretches to reach it and beat a man only to push it too far and the next defender steps in, so he stretches again and just about gets his toe to it and again. No wonder he is always injured.inviting tackles in whilst at full stretch. Gets pushed over all the time. He is not balanced when on the ball so goes over easily. Messi does similar, but always has the ball under control and under his body, so is balanced and not easily pushed over.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe he's spent to much time around foreign players, fart near him and he falls over.
