Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

I am probably speaking for a large quantity of evertonians in saying that I will not be overly dissapointed if Fellaini was too leave, ok so he is probably the most naturally talented player we have had since Rooney but in my opinion if he fetches 20m+ I'd let him leave as he deserves a big break as well as he won't put in effort if he isn't playing for the shirt; in my opinion, keeping Baines, Mirralas and Barkley is 100x more important as they are the players who will make Everton great.

Say we sell Felli for 20 million with that I would buy:
Goalkeeper: al habsi? 2-3million great competition
CB: only if heitinga leaves, Dragovic
CM: any of Fer, De Guzman or McCarthy - deployed mainly as a CDM in a 4231 formation
CAM: Honda is ideal however Mcmanaman isn't a bad choice
ST: again going to Wigan, Kone is decent, cheap option however players like Negredo, out of our league but may be intrigued cause ofthe prem

If there is any pennies left over I'd ask Blackpool to name their price for Ince or Phillips both top class young players

xDWJ {Ed003's Note - you honestly think you could get them players for £20m ?}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Fer is going to napoli with the fat spanish waitor

Agree0 Disagree0

Al Habsi - always on the highlights reel, either for saving or losing the game. Not what you need as back-up. Better to go after a 24 y. o with potential happy to push for a spot over the next year.

Having McManaman as a happy replacement for not getting Honda is a laugh. Would be happy to have them both but to say one is the next option after the first falls through?

Howard
Coleman jags distin baines
McCarthy Gibson deguzman
Mcmanaman negredo mirallas

Would love this to happen. AntEFC

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mignolet is 6. 5 M. I love if we can get.
Distin should replace by Dragovic.
Ossie still high level of EPL. CM.
Felli won't go anywhere.
Pienar is magician left midefielder.
I am not sure Jelly has got he last chance?

We are at a low ebb when all other candidates must've have told us to do one. last manager to win a trophy and get relegated in the same year?? answers on a post please, clue the same sort of appointment as we made today did wonders for Aston Villa.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm not at a low ebb, we have a very good young manager, who has ambition, so grow up!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm with you twoold, tbh he wasn't my first choice but we could of done a lot worse, ie. o'neil/hughes/pulis! roberto has ambition and plays attacking football! get behind the man, if you don't then you are not a true everton fan

Not worth paying 14m for someone who doesn't score when he starts and only scores off the bench may aswell have adam le fondre as hernandez is no different

Agree0 Disagree0

Would bag 16+ goals if started 1st choice for us, imo. I'd still love it and still hope that Jelavic can rediscover himself though

Agree0 Disagree0

Not for 14m, maybe 6 or 7

Agree0 Disagree0

Player that offers pace and movement up front (which we don't have), that comes with big game experience, still young enough to continue developing and would have a sell-on value. SOLD

Who else would you pick up better for 14Mn except for risky youngsters.

He may score more regularly off the bench but always respect a player that can continually score without regular game time.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2013 22:18:16
Well then Roberto is the man. We will need a striker a centre back and a left sided midfielder. I think moyes had 8 million in January but more than likely the board wouldn't authorise the Fer deal due to moyes not signing a new contract. It's more than likely than RM will have a few quid. There is denilson arshavin possibly Darren bent. Not a lot of money to spend but big wages.

Eric dysfunctional

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Would nt take arshavin. we need bring the avg age down. not increase it. jlaff

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2013 22:35:48
Fer deal failed because he didn't pass his medical, darren bent is awful and the free agents are not worth the 180k per week those 2 would demand

Agree0 Disagree0

Fer deal failed because no one bid for felliani

Arshavin, Denilson and Squillaci are all leaving Arsenal, could we strike? Wouldn't mind Arshavin?!

Ed you mentioned a few months ago about Honda coming in and talks taking place. Was he a Moyes target or a target that the club was perusing? Have there been any developments? Would be a quality signing if we could land him {Ed025's Note - honda was, and still is a club target, others are closing in as well though..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Did he really have talks would be quality signing if it came off

Agree0 Disagree0

We should smash the wage structure for this guy, even just for the marketing and exposure through asia.

Unfortunately he will probably end up at Inter, but maybe the lure of the Premier League will be enough to swing it our way.

I have to say, I really think we may have the right man here. You could see in his press conference that Martinez really couldn't hold in the excitement of being manager of our fantastic club. From what I have heard, he is a football nut! Constantly watching games day in day out and is really passionate about his job. All I have to say is welcome to Everton Robbie, I will support you as I supported Moyes, through thick and thin. Here's to Champions League football next season.

Noticed something on Kenwright's individual interview, very interesting, he referred to players contracts and said "they're all on good contracts bar one". Is this Fellaini? referring to his buy-out clause?

Zero idea, my guess is as good as yours, anyone with any knowledge?

Why would we be interested in McManaman as we have Mirallas and I'm pretty sure not one Evertonian thinks that's a good swap.

As for McCarthy, I'd want a big player to come in at CM and make an impact. Get James in to make up the numbers but he ain't going to set the world alight, ever. We need another centre back to add to Jags, Sylvain and Duffy (this guy needs a chance) and a striker. Please don't mention Kone.

Sell Heitinger, Anichebe and either Baines or Fellani. It might sound crazy but preferably Baines as I think Oveido has potential plus Coleman for me last season was better and would compensate the loss (SC Gm 26 Gls 0 Ass 5 - LB Gm 38 Gls 5 Ass 5 EPL).

I would love to see Finnbogason who is only 24 and has been a goal machine in Holland. Tricky with good control plays off the shoulder well plus they don't get injured in Holland, made of sterner stuff.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jun 2013 21:36:40
Yes sell baines as he's awful I mean not like he got in the team of the year or created more chances than the likes of silva, xavi, iniesta, messi, ozil is it? Its not like he's any go. Are you on something? he's the best left back in the world and selling him would be stupid so you would rather we kept heitinga and sold baines. wow you are an idi*t and who said we have to swap mirallas for mcmanaman? Mcmanaman can play on the left wing and pienaar is getting on now so a replacement would be nice and mccarthy would be a great signing and would get in our team any day he's better than osman at practically everything ed please post this i'm not being abusive or anything its just posts like this are so stupid

Agree0 Disagree0

Completly agree with Blueskittles.

Agree0 Disagree0

Was with you all the way till the Baines bit. Don't make us weaker to make others stronger.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know and as I said it sounds crazy but if we need to raise funds to strengthen then I'd rather sacrifice Baines.

Central Midfield is such an important area and is such an expensive area to buy for that I would rather replace Baines.

No matter what he ain't getting £20 or £30 mil from Kenwright so he may have to raise funds and if you want a good striker, CB and another Centre Mid then I'd rather sell Baines.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with blueskittle other than I think Mirallas' future might not be on the RW for us, so that might fit McManaman in. Totally agree on the rest mind.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a quicky though Blueskittle. Mcmanaman is not a naturally left sided player and would not see this as a place you would play him every week and why waste the money on someone who won't budge Peanuts or Kev next season.

I said sell Heitinger AS WELL as Baines and would think Cm and up front as more important than the left back.

Also chances created are not as important as assists to goals and per game Coleman was better.

But you misunderstand i'm not saying we wouldn't be weaker without him I'm saying I'd rather have a Striker scoring 20 goals than a left back with 5. Don't get me wrong if RM gets £30m to buy a striker great keep him otherwise how do you expect to buy one?

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2013 00:04:04
By selling liabilities like heitinga and our central midfield is fine and mccarthy would add to that are you forgetting john lundstram and barkley will likely get more time on the pitch next year as they approach their 20s and baines is irreplaceable baines should not be sacrificed and chances created can lead to goals like an assist for an assist plus another left back could lead to us conceding more goals if we sold baines i'd rather sell fellaini for 24m buy a striker and central midfield than sell baines buy a central midfielder or striker for 10m and 10m will not buy us a top striker plus if we sell baines and get 10m that leaves a problem we have no left back and yes you could give it to oviedo and then there is no cover if pienaar or mirallas get injured and I don't know about you but naismith has hardly set the world alight here so again i'd rather keep baines and get another 4 or 5 great years out of him and sell a young fellaini for over 20m and have enough to buy multiple players and selling baines would not allow us to do any significant business in the transfer market except make us weaker and Manchester United or which ever team he went to stronger and that is when we will decline

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2013 00:06:15
And mcmanaman could learn to play there he seems good with both feet and could adapt or push kevin to the left and put mcmanaman on the right

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and one more thing. As for McCarthy better than osman. Games 43 goals 8 assists 2 McCarthy games 50 goals 3 assists 2. Know your facts before writing one of your own off. Who's the person now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your only problem with that blue skittle is that oviedo is bout 10 levels below baines at the moment

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jun 2013 08:25:40
I know he is 10 levels below baines maybe even more so that is why we must keep baines and those stats yeah I mean osman plays for everton mccarthy plays for WIGAN he would have better players around him and mccarthy is more of a box to box midfielder osman juat gets outmuscled all the time futher up the pitch and has no pace to keep up with an attacker so yes you are still the idi*t and think about what teams they play for before judging them

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2013 20:28:07

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jun 2013 20:24:04
welcome to everton roberto a great manager at the best club in the world onwards and upwards from here on. a lot has been made of the relegation of wigan last year well wasn't hawwy wedknap relegated, twice if memory serves, that didn't stop him getting spuds into CL and for all those who wanted VP (me included!) remember juande ramos! time to get behind RM and help push the team on after all we are the most important part of this club.

ed have you heard from mushy yet or has he thrown himself into the mersey!! {Ed025's Note - i wish.. :)

I just hope BK is able to get some investment to back our new manager

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jun 2013 19:52:47
I think bill went down with a touch of Whelan syndrome, revealing the champions league quote from RM who didn't look to comfortable hearing him say that to the gathered press. I hope it doesn't become a stick to beat Roberto with from the anti Martinez brigade. Anyway let's welcome him to our great club, and get behind him with our full support, I imagine at times he's going to need it. Nobody said it was going to be easy

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Didnt look comfortable at all when BK said that really hope people don't abuse him if we don't make top 4 this season

Agree0 Disagree0

Personally I couldn't care less, I'm just happy to see an Everton manager with the bottle to openly say "We are aiming for the Champions League. " Rather than farting about with vague mutterings about Europe.

And if we don't quite make it but give it a good go in the attempt so be it, I'd rather that than play negative one man up top at home to teams who are only in the Premier League to make the numbers up! Go for it Robbie, this blue is behind you 100%

Agree0 Disagree0

In fairness, they both made it clear that they weren't talking about this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wtg. exactly. that's the spirit IMHO. We all remember that our aim for the first 5 yrs of dms reign (and this is not a criticism) was to finish in the top half of the table. look how much the team has developed. we don't want top half or top 6 anymore. we want top 4. Now whether we get there or not. it shows the ambition the club has, and the drive. and that's what happens when you have a fan in charge of the Club, rather than a pure business man (johnson ring any bells) now granted Bk is somewhat theatrical so his wording was carefully chosen, and I know he can't bank roll us like many other club chairmen, but during the press conference I feel he showed his intent and passion and that he will do what he can to make our club a competitor. now he just has to show some further 'proof of life' so to speak and that will do me. Efc for life. Jlaff

whether you agree with the appointment of Martinez or not, get behind him and give him support. Personally I like him and although Wigan were continuously in the relegation zone, but who would have done any better with that squad? let's give him a go before we push him out. If things don't work out, how are other potential managers going to think of us if they see us ranting about a manager before his first day is even over?!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jun 2013 19:25:23
Just had a text off a mate who is a Wigan season ticket holder.
"Feel sorry for you mate with the Martinez appointment. We have had 4 years of watching his relegation football and only playing for the last six weeks of the season. Glad to see the back of him cause he has no idea how to set up a team to defend so I think you will be in for a long hard season. :- ("
Lets hope he is wrong, I don't think going back to Wigan for players would be a good marker to lay down early though. Like to think we are in a different class to them.
Anyway, moving on, time to back roberto! Coyb's!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

What you pal is failing to mention is that Wigan could not buy a nod or attra t the calibre of player everton has. and any that did turn good we're sold to bigger clubs. no disrespect to Wigan but we are a bigger club with better players. It may have been the case that pep guardiola could not have done better with that squad. Jlaff

kenwright certainly has the chatter, he could go nineteen to the dozen, but I've had enough, there's never no action, we have rm there saying all these wonderful things about us getting in the champions league, but with kenwright signing the cheques, then i'm sorry fellow blues, the champions league will only happen whilst your everton on fifa, this isn't the time but soon enough we have to put pressure on kenwright to get a buyer and get out.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jun 2013 21:28:30
NO! Why does everyone think we should sign free agents just because there free? He would want 100k per week he's lost his pace is very very lazy and is overweight basically a left wing version of anderson from Manchester United i'm guessing you want chris brunt, sebastian squillaci, richard dunne and lichaj aswell?

mine would be

------ Howard ------
coleman Jags Duffy Baines

Super Kev gibbo Felli Pieman

Barkley

Jelly

and that would be a good platform
Not much change and with a nice younger look to it.

Plus and Buys to make the Bench stronger

That one shapes up really well, but for me (dont shoot me now!), I think Naismith would suit the central role where you've put pienaar. Ossie would sit ok there aswell. Good options all round though, especially if martinez will use some more of the youth!

Blue Dazzle

Agree0 Disagree0

Inseat of having pieman, playing tougher teams you could put big vic up top and kev behind, or but having pieman there with a free roll to do what ever, I think he plays his best, if not put Barkley there, he's good enough and strong enough to hol it up and play a pass

We already play good football and have a good strong team and with some signin's and young players getting a chance and with rm's philosophy and our natural steal at the core of our team I think we will improve and get better. Whelan said we're not a top club, well we have juve in the icc pre season cup and could play real madrid, ac milan, inter milan, valencia or chelsea. I think that's a bit more of a challenge for martinez then at wigan.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Im not gutted mate far from it as it make a change seeing someone who actually want's to be at Everton rather than Moyes who looked bored and disinterested last season at times.

What would be the point in buying another ageing CB! {Ed025's Note - the price mate, decent squad player as well D..

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jun 2013 16:34:59
One thing that is nice to hear is an Everton Manager being positive about getting into the Champions League rather than one moaning about lack of funds and how hard it is.

He looked a little like the dear in front of the head lights but that's probably due to Kenwright's slip about him promising CL.

Kenwright also offering up Fellani and mentioning his release clause was obviously trying to get him sold so the new manager can get some money.

I hope he doesn't upset the apple cart too much though with his new backroom staff and keeps the majority of what is already there. We've a brilliant set up a Everton with Everton people that understand the club and it should stay that way. Not like the soulless reds across the park.

But good luck Roberto. I'm expecting great things from our club next season.

Remember Moyes was an unknown before we took the gamble. We are taking another one with RM but his teams play attractive football. Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jun 2013 14:32:51
Here we go then Martinez to be announced at 4pm press conference.

DO NOT balls this up Robbie. Took us 11 years to get to this point whereby I don't have sleepless nights about being relegated and signing s***ty OAPs like Genola and Gazza. I want not pretty footy but winning footy so results are what matters, even to the ones wanting good football still want results as we are not Newcastle were that is the only thing that matters because success is all that will do for us.

I want you to boot elstone in the balls every time he says there's no money and tell him to pimp himself so you can sign a player and don't take no for an answer. Better yet don't let elstone get involved in transfers as he will only mess it up like the Fer deal

Don't accept cheap mediocrity like players from your former club and aim high with ambition and dare to dream. There are bargains and opportunities at even the biggest clubs.

Get players in that are sold on the club and the fans and not for the money, they are out there, just look around our dressing room. And if you get a bad egg boot him out like van Der meyder.

And remember this isn't a stepping stone for your ego or career this is Everton Football Club. An instition of excellence in football, morals, class, achievement, passion, supporters and a way of life you have to emerse yourself in. Or as we blue blooded evertonians call it NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM.

My Everton reporting,
The Spaniard is still kicking his heels while he waits to be officially unveiled at Goodison, after a day of negotiation over compensation thrashed out a 'transfer fee' of around £1million but stalled on bonus payments.
And we might get the Wigan centre back

I will avoid any sarcasm of 'Bonus for keeping us up' because I might cause upset for some readers

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mushy:

Whilst agreeing with you on RM to a great extent

There are valid arguments that differ to us both

''
Now I know some Evertonians have reservations about Martinez because he took Wigan down after eight seasons in the Premier League, but I feel they need to look at the whole picture.

It was a charge constantly thrown at Martinez that he never developed Wigan. He never made them more than a side fighting relegation during his four years in charge.

The facts back that up, but there are reasons why Wigan never progressed in Premier League terms.

During those four years, Wigan's wage bill was slashed by about a fifth.

Part of this cost-cutting meant that no player was given a contract longer than three years, which meant they lost a lot of talent on frees, such as Momo Diame and Hugo Rodallega.

On top of that, their best player was cherry picked by a bigger club each summer and in 2011 they lost Charles N'Zogbia to Aston Villa and last summer Victor Moses to Chelsea.

It's hard to build anything against such a backdrop of upheaval and cost cutting. ''

Love it how so many blag rumours saying "a reliable source told me" Bull toss!

What we don't know is:

a) who the manager is going to be
b) what we have to spend
c) who is leaving and who is coming in

What the reality is, is:

a) we know RM is in talks with the club, but so are other managers
b) we have had an increase in TV revenue, DM's 4m a year wages have gone,
c) players have said they wish to stay John Heitinger the exception to that, We are not going to sign players that a potential new manager may not want to waste what little funds he has.
d) who ever comes in we need to get behind and support from the off! we are Everton not them lot across the park!

Bill Kenwright for all of his misgivings in the past (although personally I like the guy) he has done well in not rushing into getting a new man in. He is interviewing a lot of people by the sounds of it and that can only be a good thing, its ok saying get VP in from porto but who can honestly say they had heard of him before DM left? Michael Laudrup - manager at Swansea, who is their right mind is going to pay 7-10m to get him out of his Swansea contract? - NO THANKS. I personally am unsure of RM as Everton is a totally different kettle of fish to Wigan, but then again we got Moyes from PNE!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

At least he is giving Everton fans some news and keeping us updated. The crowd currently running our club give us fans nothing, leave everybody guessing and making up wild stories. Come on Dave. which players will Everton be signing!!

He know's that there is nothing he can do to stop Martinez from leaving, whether it is to go to us or another club, but in order to give himself a little bit of power, in a situation that is beyond his control, he appears to have a need to undermine us at every opportunity.
