Long shot fellas (or maybe not), I missed out on last season's white away shirt - being tight and waiting for them to get reduced then they sold out! Anyhow, does anybody have one in an Adult Large that they're looking to offload?

It's the Merseyside derby and a man makes his way to his seat in the centre of the Gwladys Street end. He sits down and notices that the seat next to him is empty. He leans over and asks the bloke sitting next but one to him if anyone is sitting there. He responds, "No, the seat's empty.
The first man exclaims, "What?!? Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the derby and not use it? The other bloke responds, "Well the seat is mine, but my wife passed away and this is the first derby we haven't been to together."
The first bloke responds, " I'm sorry to hear that. Wasn't there anyone else, a friend or relative, that could've taken that seat?"
The bloke responds, "No, they're all at the funeral."

We're Evertonians, we go the game, that's what we do.

Here's to 3 points against the red side, COYB

What an insensitive clown that guy sounds.

Who in their right mind would miss his wifes funeral to go to a football match.

It is not that important.

Mirallas effectively confirmed he is 100% leaving at the end of the season. Said he is seeking a 'new challenge'. Hugely disappointed, but he seems to still be committed to helping us till the seasons end and at least he didn't abandon us last month. At least we have time to find a replacement.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Only for a decent price, if not put him in the reserves for 12 months

Agree0 Disagree0

1. It was supposedly in the Belgian press, so might lose something in the translation.
2. It could be old comments being rehashed - which the media always do.
3. It's not a surprising thing for any ambitious player to say.
4. Other players have moved on in the past and we've pretty much always got top dollar for their transfer fees.
5. Anyway, many of us wanted to see him moved out following the penalty debacle.

Agree0 Disagree0

If mirallas heart not @ the club & wants out let him go & stick him in the reserves to stew.
I was hoping he'd have gone in this window & got a fee for him. if he runs his contract down he'll go for nowt.
Can't do with these players who sulk when things not rosy in the garden & look for a way out with player/agent going to the press looking for a move to a club playing champs league football.
In my eyes he's injury prone & when going gets tough he goes missing in a lot of games.
Would'nt be surprised if he goes 2 Spurs as part of the Lennon deal in the summer but if he thinks their a bigger club than us I'll eat my hat.Get rid.

well if he's stated he wants champions league football then he won't be going to spurs.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we win Europa league & qualify for champs league does this mean mirallas will change his mind & stay.
Hope not seems like he's made his bed good riddance

Helping us? What the, he gets paid a small fortune to do his JOB for flecks sake. Think I will go in to work tomorrow and let my boss I've come in to help him. Sure he will be well impressed.

Kev on one wing, Lennon on the other.

BK could produce a new musical from this new duo!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

In which case, I can just imagine Naismith or Barkley serenading Lukaku with:
"There's clowns to the left of me,
Jokers to the right,
Here I am - stuck in the middle with you."
;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Or with Roberto's bizarre positioning of our players, I'm sure they're all mostly humming 'I just don't know what to do with myself' really nervously to themselves.

quick question lads, been waiting 5 years, anyone tell me what it is tom cleverley does on a football pitch yet?.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lets have a look at what others of the footballing world think :

"Everyone of us should emulate him. We can all learn from Tom Cleverley'' - Andres Iniesta

"Clevs is unbelievable - he's one of the greatest of all time." - Wayne Rooney

”Tom Cleverley is THE phenomenon.” - Cristiano Ronaldo

"There is no doubt for me that Tom Cleverley is in a class of his own. He’s almost untouchable in what he does. I never tire of watching him play. You rarely come across the complete footballer, but Cleverley is as close to it as you can get'' - Zinedine Zidane

''Cleverley is the best midfielder I’ve ever seen. He can pass, score goals with his left, right, his head – he can do anything. And he can beat a player too. He is unbelievable'' - Luka Modric

"When Cleverley passes the ball it stays passed. The ball goes exactly where he wants it to. I have always loved him for that. He is an absolute genius. He is a role model for anyone who wants to play football. He is a joy to watch.'' - Xabi Alonso

"I’d go for Clevers as the worlds greatest ever player. I’ve seen him do things that no other player can do. The way he can control the tempo of games, and his range of passing, are both incredible. Players just haven’t been able to get near him.'' - Ryan Giggs

Tom Cleverley is a role model. For me, he's the best central midfielder I've ever seen. He's spectacular, he has it all: the last pass, goals, he's strong, he doesn't lose the ball, vision. Players love him." - Xavi Hernandez

Well there we have it.

What's worrying is what Martinez sees in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares, he doesn't play for us!

Agree0 Disagree0

He is a master of the backwards or sideways pass so should slot perfectly in with Robertos total football plan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cat amongst the pigeons time.I actually think he is a pretty average footballer. Not brilliant, but certainly not as bad as some think. He does tend to make the simple pass every time, but he covers an awful lot of the pitch breaking the oppositions attacks up and then runs with the ball and makes a simple pass. He would fit into RM's style (which I don't particularly like) and probably increase our possession even further. I hope we don't sign him, but he isn't as bad as some say.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes he's such a fantastic player that With all them so called references from some of the games greats he's plying his trade at where? Oh yes Aston Villa. on loan.

I just don't get it, its not that he's so bad (which he is) but he's so talentless, and to think when he joins he will be our highest paid player, he's actually the luckiest man alive

I've just checked the Premier League website for the updated squad list following the closure of the January transfer window.
Our registered squad of aged-over-21 players, which can number up to 25, is actually only 23 players strong. A squad can have no more than 17 non-homegrown players and the remainder must be homegrown.
We have registered 14 aged-over-21 non-homegrown players: Alcaraz, Atsu, Besic, Coleman, Distin, Howard, Junior, Kone, McGeady, Mirallas, Naismith, Oviedo, Pienaar, and Robles.
We have registered 9 aged-over-21 homegrown players: Baines, Barry, Gibson, Hibbert, Jagielka, Lennon, McAleny (even though he's out on loan!), McCarthy, and Osman.
We have registered 48 aged-under-21 players and that list includes Barkley, Lukaku, Stones, etc.
I have also checked the UEFA website for the updated Europa League squad lists.
Our "List A" squad is only 21 players strong (it can be up to 25 - with association-trained and club-trained restrictions) and is the same as the Premier League squad except for the following:
Lennon (who's cup-tied), McAleny and Junior are all omitted. Lukaku, although under 21 hasn't been with us for two years, so he has to be included in "List A" in order to be available for selection. On the other hand, Stones, having now been with us for two years, has moved from "List A" to "List B". The other aged-under-21 players who've been with us for two years - like Barkley, Garbutt, Browning, etc. - are also in "List B".
Because we've named only 2 club-trained players - Hibbert and Osman - instead of the minimum of 4, our "List A" can only be 23-strong. However, we have met the association-trained rules by naming 5 such players - and the minimum is 4.
I'm a little surprised that we didn't register the likes of Galloway or Henen (both under 21, but neither with us for two years yet) to increase our "List A" squad from 21 to 23. I guess that they wouldn't be definitely played in the knockout stage fixtures, but it does seem odd imho not to make use of the full squad allowance just in case. I believe that we can register up to 3 new players in the "List A" squad, so it should have been possible.
