Another decent performance by ossie, being asked to play on the left & just gets on with it. Top pro

Oh shut up degsy really like take a good look at yourself will ya in the nicest possible way I say that :)

I think that's his best position, we tried him as an attacking midfielder, he was awful and as a holding midfielder last season and he was, well, destroyed to say the least. When on the left (tbf we've barely played with 2 wide men all season) it gives us an actual formation from the usual 8-1-1 formation. How many times this season have we had someone on the left and someone on the right? Very rarely and that's why we are winning games, we have a shape!

This may upset Degsy but, on saturdays performance, Ossie was not at the races. He had one effort in the first minute, showed quick feet in one or two situations but, apart fom that, the game passed him by. I like Ossie, maybe not to the extent of a certain poster on here, but he has been a great servant to the club. That should not come in to the managers thinking when picking the team though. He should have been subbed at some point as he was not doing much in the second half, would have been nice to get someone with a bit more pace running at the full back in the last twenty minutes or so

Spudv I agree with you. Although I often stick up for Ossie (because I feel he gets unfair abuse) I do understand his limitations and yes it was not his best game. I would have subbed him too. But the stats show that when he plays, we win or draw.and when he does not play. we lose. Bar 4 games this season. that rule applies. He obviously brings a balance to the team and although I realise he is on his last legs,he still plays a very important part within our squad. The middle of this season where we had no wins in 11 games was when he was out injured. enough said.

Hi lads, hang on, is this thing on? Good good. Can I just, before the post actually begins, give some advice? Coffee, make friends with it. This has been a poor season, no doubt about it, the football has been danny dyer and the results haven't been much better. What I always loved about this club, one word, family, its always been a family club, now I don't mean 40,000 evertonians all sit in goodison watching the chase (which is actually more interesting than our football but that's beside the point). I always got the whole 'once everton touches you' uh thing, its true, for me players like phil jagielka, bryan oviedo and john stones are so likeable and, in bryans case, loveable because they show passion and clearly love the club, which is the least we can ask for. Even ex players that didn't have the best careers here like james vaughan and shane duffy still remind us of their love for this club. Now i'm all for letting people know your annoyed, I mean, let's face it the football this season has been boring as hell but what is over the top is things like booing because we keep the ball when 3-0 up against newcastle. My personal favourite is the more recent player abuse, joel had it on twitter as did jagielka after the chelsea game, what irked me was a post I saw today from some silly person on cardiffs page. After mcaleny scored in the 90th minute, cardiff fans obviously delighted, some everton fan, some fool honestly, it really annoyed me, an evertonian tagged mcaleny in this post so he could see it, the post said 'please keep him he's f****** sh*te', now, I know he wasnt great against krasnodar but really? The lad had a horrible leg break, is an evertonian who obviously wants to make it into our first team and this is what he gets? Is there honestly any need in that?. Now I don't agree with that, especially to a kid doing well in the championship hoping to make it at the team he SUPPORTS. Now that I've got that out of the way, proceed, we have gone 20 YEARS WITHOUT A TROPHY, its not just that, does that honestly look like changing any time soon?. We look good in a competition and like a stephen king film we get let down right at the end. The club just seems to go into an endless circle of nothingness, our past is fading, our present is barely tolerable and our future is not going to change much. Now, whoever is in charge next year, can you please try and win a trophy? Its ridiculous now. Now being all sunshine and rainbows like I am, I will leave another reminder of 20 YEARS WITHOUT A TROPHY, you're welcome. But I love this club, and, like I said earlier (if you're still here) we are a 'family' club and when things are at their worst for everton people, remember, you're not alone, we just have to grind our teeth (not advised as you may hurt your teeth but you get what I mean) and get through it. Now i'm a bit tipsy and need to sleep, god knows you already fell asleep reading this! let's just remember, we love our club and that's all that matters.

Considering the time and being tipsy swanny your spelling was excellent. Winning the Premier is out of our reach. success winning a cup in Europe at the moment is too much to expect at the moment. So for next couple of seasons top half finish and WIN FA cup and league cup, which gives euro football anyway.

Footballs fickle, every club things there a family club when in essence they are happy doing well and get the hump when we're not, same with every club. there will also be fans that vent there frusratation in different ways some understandable some down right stupid but you have also give different players bad comments from different times so bit contradicting to think others won't do it. the football stinks the crowd is dead what do you expect a big party during the game because we have had a few shots and maybe one on target, it's goona happen, I spent 40 mins of the second half speaking to two Scottish lads about were to go in liverpool etc and football stuff I hope I manage to distract them enough and think it wernt as bad as it was, boring

{Ed025's Note - as much as it irks me mike, i agree with that fella..

The problem we have is,we cannot cope with the Europa league. Its ok for majority of euro clubs as they have a break at xmas and have a good rest! Let's be realistic Bobby will still be with us next season and if we keep Lukaku I think we will be better next year!

Decent post swan it's bin a hard season for us all but had we gone little further in Europa then things might be a little dif now results this season have bin painful to deal with but some fans behaviour and posts on here even more painful in my opinion I have always thought of our club as a great club with great fans the best in fact now I wonder yes mistakes have bin made but still this is the best squad we have had in a long time and will be stronger again next season in my opinion we have had a bad patch slight improvement of late three straight wins and hopefully we can keep improving from here Martinez brought great belief to this club last season to all of us for me he deserves to try fix it next season and I think he will only time will tell and it is time he will get whether fans like it or not :)

Europa is just an excuse. Bad management and bad tactics are the real reason we've been poor this season.

Would anyone take a punt on Charlie Austin? Be an alright back-up for Rom, and we'd probably get him on the cheap with QPR likely going down.

Now we seem to have reached mid table mediocrity and safety I am just waiting for BK and RM to start telling anyone who will listen what a good season this has really been bearing in mind Europe, injuries, poor pitches bad weather. I guess historically for RM mid table is a good season.
