In this day-and-age of instant gratification and social media, I can understand that our club shouldn't overreact to knee-jerk reactions from fans and pundits, BUT I would like some evidence that the club does have a plan and were more willing to communicate the plan's progress more openly (and positively) to the fans. At the moment, the only ambition seems to be staying in the PL (mid-table mediocrity) while the BMD development grinds slowly on. I wonder if money issues (poor player transfers, escalating BMD costs, lack of European football or domestic cup runs, etc. ) are causing FM/ BK to re-evaluate the club's aims.

Gotta spend to make money. The money is in champions league and we won't get there without a very good manager and a strong outlay on quality players.

Which of my fellow posters are among the Evertonians whose hearts and minds have been won ove by Sam Allardyce? I most certainly have NOT been won over. I was prepared to give him a chance when he joined - and I thank him for doing what was asked (exacted) of him - BUT I do not see him (and certainly don't want him) as the future direction of Everton.

He did what he came to do Bobby and for that I am grateful. However, I’d like to see someone a bit more in the Everton mould going forwards in the summer. At this point in time though, any talk of Sam staying or going are pure conjecture either way, so I wouldn’t worry mate. Que sera sera! I’m sure the summer will tell us more when it comes.

Whoever is manager, we need better and younger players. We made a couple of decent signings of late. but we have missed out on some and are very weak in certain positions. notably defence and left side. Walcott and Tosun seem decent signings but we need a center back and left back and probably a left sided midfielder too. All need to be able to slot in immediately with the age of our current squad. I am more bothered about that than who is manager.

Allerdyce already got his excuses sorted for next season (if he were to stay) .

"If you look at where we were last season and this we are around the eighth mark. It all depends on the recruitment and what the type of quality is that we can bring, " Allardyce said.

"Plans are in place. Names are on lists, yes, but can we achieve it? It's a volatile market. With the market closing before the season starts and the World Cup, it is tough. ".

Noticeably less big head and more corporate lines in last 2 Press Conferences.
For a man so full of himself, it gives an insight that nothing is confirmed about his job. (That's what I'm reading into it)

Well, whatever the situation, the fans at Goodison on Saturday will have an opportunity to voice their feelings about Allardyce and hope that the owner and the board take notice.

Personally speaking, I won't be staying behind to applaud the team on Saturday. I'd feel hypocrite for a start, but I also feel I'd be applauding what I can only describe in the kindest way as being mediocrity from almost all levels of the club. I love Everton but that.

Wondering where ED002 has gone in our hour of need? Especially now, as we near the end of another season, what do us blues have to look forward to next season? We could do with his forthright views and insider knowledge as to whether Mr Moshiri is even looking for a new manager or DOF. Has he sought advice and prepared a shortlist, or, is it simply a case of 'As you were' for the season ahead. Thanks in advance.

I’ve slowly come to the decision over the years that who I would like doesn’t matter as they either turn out to have a shocker or we go with someone else.
I can categorically state though that I do not want Chubby Samuel next season, never wanted him initially due to the scandals that seemed to follow him and didn’t feel our club needed that. But then also because I couldn’t see any longevity in bringing him in and find his brand of football wherever he’s been to be boring, if he utter the immortal words from Maximus Decimus Meridius in gladiator stood in the middle of Goodison Park I would have to say. No now F off! 😂.

I was talking to Sam Allergy the other day and said what a lot of people were thinking. about how now our season was over, we should try playing some of the fringe players. I was shocked when he said, " What the effing hell has haircuts got to do with it? ".

Probably in the minority but I was speaking with a few red mates and they where shocked to hear that I wanted them to win the final.

I don't know tbh it's a strange 1 isn't it. If it was any other round then no but as it's the final I would rather them win than real as it's great for the city.

What do you all think?

I've been a blue all my life but my late Mum and Dad and the rest of the family are/ were reds so, in respect to them, I've never resented LFC winning anything once we are out of it.

Looking to the day though when we are back in the ascendancy and we make our own history.

{Ed0333's Note - nice post mate thankyou.

I think a lot of Evertonians come from a mixed marriage. My Mother's side are Red and my father's Blue. For my late Mother I hope Liverpool crush them.

I hope LFC win as it's European opposition. What I won't do though is tell them. 😉 Shhhh.

In general, I genuinely couldn’t care less whether they win lose or draw, but I’ve got a lot of red family and friends, so I’d like them to win to make my friends and family happy.

I want them to lose they are our rivals and if they win we will have all kopites rubbing it in either way just like the semi final I will not be watching it because it's not us in the final right I'm off to buy a real Madrid shirt and a case of Sam Miguel.

I hear that bignev. Like nails on a chalk board. Also under no circumstances does Jordan Henderson (especially) and other players in the team deserve to be carried to a CL medal by an outstanding front 3.

For me personally, it's irrelevant. I couldn't care less about them. Although I must admit you can't help but like the way they play, Salah and Klopp. However, I work in a place with about 200 employees, and if they win the armchair Reds will be unbearable (it always seems to ke that the few who actually go the game at my work aren't too bad, but the one's who have their Sky Sports season ticket are insufferable) . So regretfully, I want them to lose.

04 May 2018 12:24:01
They wouldn't want us to win it, believe me. Not the proper fans anyway. I hope they get beat in the last minute in the cruelest way possible.
I've already resigned to them winning it tho, looking for flights to Madrid to watch it over there.

I hope they go 3-0 up in the first half. Then get clawed back to 3-3. Beaten on Pens and then their bus breaks down on the way to the airport.

Better not bitter.

I want them to win. But at the same time can't be bothered with them winnig it becuase you will never hear the end of it: from fans that don't know what the inside of Anfield looks like.

Was really tough growing up with a Smurf for a father and an umpa lumpa for a mother.
