Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

It used to be said that "win every home game, draw every away game" was league-championship-winning form.
Well, RM appears to follow the "draw every home game, lose every away game" philosophy.

After qualifying for Europe last year we were told that we'd need at least seven new players to strengthen the squad so we could compete on both fronts. We got lukaku and Barry on permanents which didn't actually strengthen the squad. We got Besic who isn't used as much as he should be. Then we got henan for the youths, and atsu who is covered with dust and webs in the corner. Realistically in the transfer market, bobby just hasn't a clue. As for pre-season last year, that was a shambles. Then we had the January transfer window where we got one loanee where we needed at least three new players in. Point being, regardless to not having proper tactics on the pitch, off the pitch bobby is just as bad. As for replacements, I read Joe royal being mentioned, personally I think he's been out of the game too long.

Bill,
I need your attention. Roberto Martinez's work has been inconsistent. We here have talked to him on other occasions when he was not meeting expexactions. His quality of work would then improve, but after a while, we would see the same inconsistency. Now I see players that refuse to work with him. Roberto shows up to work as different characters and does not attend the required corrective meetings.
I am also concerned with his coaching work . He called a press conference today to tell the press that he will not be into work today because he was thinking that he was managing a team. Its a delusion, a sedentary condition that requires 3rs party help. He is not injured. I think this is the 30th "accident" he has been in since he started working for us.
We want to change him out. Do you have anyone that we can use with English PL Football management experience?

Moyes all is forgiven please come back, well it's written in the stars I honestly believe he will be back at our club sooner than we think obviously not this season but it's going to happen you can just smell it.Martinez will not be Everton manager next season unless we stay up and win the Europa I don't really want Moyes back but strangely Bk dream will come true he will forgive him for having an affair wait and see blues.

We are in a total freefall - we've picked up 7 points in the last 13 games

We're going to be relegated unless Martinez gets sacked or at least puts Joel back in goal

I said yesterday Howard concedes 2 goals every game - same again tonight

I can't see where we're going to get any points from now - we've completely lost the plot

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I hope ed you Will pass this.
I work in a customer service dept for a rather posh super market. If a customer complains we act or pass the complaint on to a higher level.
As an Everton customer for nearly 50 years I feel very aggrieved at the way my club is being run.
So I will be complaining to Everton via their customer services dept on 0871 663 1878
Please be polite but complain!

Posted a few months ago that we only needed a point a game to get the magical forty. We are behind schedule on that one.
Said at same time that Kenwright wasn't up to the job anymore. I stand by that. Would be happy to be proven wrong.
Such a proud history in the balance.
Regarding tonight. Like most supporters deep down knew we would lose.
Sad days.

Thank goodness that three of the teams below us have lost (as was surely likely anyway considering who they were playing) tonight, but we're in deep trouble.
How much more do we have to endure before BK and the board man-up and admit that the RM experiment hasn't worked out and the remainder of this season has to be a single-minded mission to stay in the Premier League?
I'm bitterly disappointed that RM hasn't taken us onwards and upwards from last season's promise, but he clearly doesn't have the wherewithal to get a talented (on paper) squad to deliver the necessary results and acceptable performances. Confidence on and off the field is surely rock bottom.
However we do against Dynamo Kiev, I dread the atmosphere at the subsequent fixture at home to Newcastle United if RM is still here and we perform poorly and fail to win.
Ho hum.

Not even going to go into that performance only thing that matters now is he has to go. I can't believe it's come to this but he has to! I can guarantee every other team around us will start winning now because they know there in a fight. Martinez however will keep us playing like we're in a training game and believe me we will go down! Any 1 who thinks were to good needs to wake up!
For me get joe royal and big dunc in just until the end of the season and then go from there

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Roberto will not be sacked while we are still in Europe Obviously Bk doesn't think we will go down, personally I think we will at this rate forget about away games in the prem we can't even win our homes games at least we could have some confidence if we could but I'm afraid my fellow blues it looks like Spurs will get the chance to put the nail in our coffen on the last last day of the season.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

04 Mar 2015 22:16:21
Stef the blue: Quite possibly - and while Tottenham send us down on the field, Daniel Levy will be getting cut price deals off the field for some of our better players. Any remaining quality will be similarly and quickly moved out, as we look forward to a bleak and impoverished and extended period outside the Premier League.
Well done, RM! Having suckered most of us last season, you're now on the verge of ending over sixty years in the top tier for our great club. BK and the board must act and get us away from the edge of this abyss.

04 Mar 2015 21:47:26
Please, please, please before its too late (and it could be already).GET RID OF MARTINEZ, this apparently is our worse points return since 1927 according to I win on the radio. We are now Wigan Athletic playing at Goodison Park. & we will go down. No backbone no one willing to shoot, the goalkeeper only had 1/2 saves to make in the whole game against Stoke. Newcastle next a week on Sunday.Mirallas was off the pitch like a whippet at the final whistle. Martinez has not got a clue about the basic requirements & DR A of Everton Football Club. We came close to relegation a few years back & struggled a few times under Moyes.but this is now the real deal. act quickly Kenwright. Other managers have already been sacked for a results record like Martinez.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

04 Mar 2015 21:45:35

04 Mar 2015 22:02:19
surely after tonight he's got to go or else Bill needs to end his silence & explain. we now have our lowest ever points total on record for this stage of a season & more worryingly even less than what Wigan had at the same stage the season they got relegated!! I for 1 am not renewing my season tickets for next season until the Spanish idiot is gone & everyone else should follow suit & hit Bills pockets where it hurts until he does what he needs to do!

Ed025 as you said the other day the silence from the chairman has been deafening! Surely as a fan as well as the chairman he owes the fans an explanation as to the boards seemingly backing of this underperformance! He needs to wake up and smell the coffee we ARE in a relegation battle and I don't think there are 3 sides worse than us on our current run of form!
The players looked shell shocked and bemused the manager seems clueless!

FFS! How long is it going to take for Bill and the Board to do something about this pathetic excuse of a manager? Taken apart by Stoke City, praying that Arsenal, the Dark Side and Man City win to keep us where we are. It is beyond embarrassing now, for the sake of the club Bill sack this fool now.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - dead right wedge..

04 Mar 2015 21:31:09
We are hopeless, teams around us are starting to pick up points, Villa won last night, Hull and Sunderland got a point, QPR look like they have fight in them yet I honestly can't see where our next win will come from. With a top 6 squad and having spent a lot during the summer how is Roberto not under pressure. If this was happening at Spurs he would of been sacked before now, I'm not saying we should be more like them as I believe you should give a manager time to build a team/ethos but at what point do you draw the line?

So sorry to say that my patience is up and he has to go.

Bill calls himself a custodian but can't live up to the meaning of the word.

I'm not up for slagging off managers and the like as I can't do the job. But I'm a fan and have been long suffering until now.

I honestly believe there is no fight in the players as they aren't arsed if we go down because they believe they are Premier league class and will be snapped up and therefore be playing top flight football next season regardless. And that is the sorry state were in as loyalty is measured in pound signs only. On a more happier note Gareth Barry is suspended for the next 2 games.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

04 Mar 2015 19:17:46
shows how far we have fallen when I find myself hoping for at least a point but fearing the worst when playing Stoke! Yes that's right Stoke, a team that were just an established mid table side who are now looking at a top 10 finish which we could only wish for. Hughes has came in and changed the way they play without messing about with the toughness to beat side of the game, he kept their foundation wereas our fraud ripped ours up and built a straw house. The sooner he goes the better.

He's on his way to meet Lord Lucan at the airport. They're travelling on Flight 19 via the Bermuda Triangle to Roswell. They were expected to go by sea on the Mary Celeste, but that ship has sailed - just like our chance of a decent Premier League finish. Far better if he'd been in a black taxi on his way to do the right thing with RM. Why nothing's been done is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma.

IMO a good way of managing a team is to say if you get a chance and u take it by playing better than the player u replaced u keep the shirt. And the player who lost his place will eventually be given the exact opportunity himself. Keeps everybody on there toes fighting for places and keeps the best 11 on the pitch. I don't believe this to be rocket science ffs! I hate all the moans and groans but it's hard not to sometimes. Hate the fact I'm traveling to stoke to watch my beloved blues and Instead of looking forward to the game I'm absolutely dredding it!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Would love us to come out of the blocks flying tonight! Play with two proper wingers in mirallas and Lennon and have gibbo spraying balls about. Besic and macca tidying things up and hopefully jags and stones can stay awake and alert for the full 90+ mins!
Can't have no one feeling sorry for themselves tonight, need to battle for every first and second ball, put some challenges in and not be so nice!

At every home game, Everton put on the big screen our proud record of the number of top flight matches we have played. If BK doesn't act soon that record will be shattered, and BK will be RESPONSIBLE AND REMEMBERED as the man for taking us down along with the fraud. I'm sure as a proud Evertonian it's a title he wouldn't want.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

With regards Roberto Martinez as Everton manager, we can all agree or disagree on his decisions, we can all like or dislike him as a person or manager, but we have to admit he does conduct himself in an orderly manner on the touch line, all credit to him. Unlike some managers behaviour recently eg Poyet, Bruce, Pardew and Pearson.

Fancy us to get a result tonight. Stoke at home don't have the tactical discipline teams have been adopting against us this season. Their fans will push them to attack, which should suit our 'style' of play.

Think we'll win 2-1.

I doubt that our players will "enjoy" playing against a "parasite" team - especially if RM delivers a less than inspiring teamtalk and doesn't prepare and setup the team to go for a victory. One point maybe better than none away to Stoke City, but we need all three. For a manager so praised for his attacking play, RM has sent out teams that have been unbearably cautious too much of late.

Still cannot get my head round RM's decision to bring Howard straight back into the team. Thought this was real bad management. We all know if Garbutt has a stormer the next few games it won't matter Baines will be back to take his place. Play your best players not your love childs.

Agree Joel is much more the modern sweeper keeper which allows the defence to push up. Tim is still a quality keeper, you don't lose it overnight but maybe he needs a rest. Even Hart / Courtois / Casillas to name a few have needed a break at times, can't remember if Tim has ever had one.

he had a rest. Boxing day - the chelsea game. Nearly two months. Tim is not good enough, sell his to the mls in summer an move on.

Bobby now saying he's been in worse situations playing for Swansea. How deluded can he be we are playing Stoke tonight who if they win will be 14 points ahead of us it even hurts to be writing this surely if we lose tonight he has to go. Don't get me wrong i'm a true believer who still thinks we will win every game COYB

Gotta share this with you Blues, seriously not taking the pee either

Got a chef at our site and is a blue, a few of his comments

1. I rate McGeady
2. I don't rate Naismith at all and would play Barkley before him every time
3. Lukaku is world class
4. I rate Martinez and hope we don't get rid of him

There's more but this should do, it's not as if he is stupid either as he is the manager, I have some boss arguments with him and I know everyone has their opinion but seriously.

he is 45, and seems really intelligent too, looks are deceiving in this case without a doubt

He is seriously not taking the mick either, oh yeh he isn't a Koppite too

Others have probably worked out what point can be achieved for rest of the season. With 27 games played, 28 points equates to 1.03 points per game. Using same statistic 11 games left at 1 point each gets to 39points total. I know it's not good enough. No matter who the opposition is should the team be set up and with the emphasis not to concede a goal with the option to snatch one, forget the pretty stuff for the rest of the season.
There are 2 games, one against Man U and one Tottenham. In both these case the opposition will be going for 3 points as they will most likely be still in with chance for top 4 or 6 as minimum. The Southampton one may be the same. so not to concede is important. Can be satisfied to get a point from those 3 and hope for couple of wins against the others and safe.

Every time I see a post off degsy I see issue mentioned, give it a rest it's boring he's 2ft and never won 50/50 in his life, he also hasn't been 31 for two years and isn't zidane so stop acting like he's the answer because its draining and stupidly repetitive

Couldn't agree more. I skip his posts these days as they are as repetitive as a Martinez interview.

Mikedeblue, when you say he has never won a 50/50, I assume you mean header? If you mean tackle, have another look at the Wolfsburg away game. Ossie played holding midfield and made the 2 interceptions and played the ball out for our 2 goals. That performance was the one that kept our season going. Also name another midfielder in our squad that scores a goal every 8 games. Or another one that can play right side of midfield comfortably? McGeady? Lennon? Neither of these contribute to assists nor goals. Ossie leaves them miles behind. It annoys me that we have a loyal Evertonian who has been VERY effective over the seasons and scored over 50 goals (a couple this season in the handful of games he has played) yet gets slagged off all thtime no matter how well he has played. Yes he is 2 foot tall and does not win headers. He probably would not get in the Stoke team because of that. I prefer to watch football played on the floor thank you. Pod, they are repetitive because there seems to be a few short sighted Evertonians who have preconceived ideas about certain players and do not realise that form, confidence and other issues like carrying slight injuries can affect how a player performs. I judge players over seasons.not a couple of games. Ossie had a few bad games last season and typical of the Goodison crowd, they got on his back. He probably had 3 or 4 bad games. I have seen enough from his performances this season to know he can still cut it. Silly stats. that might be a bit out because I can't be bothered looking it all up again. He has played in only 2 defeats all season. Of about the 12 games he has played in, we have lost only 1 or 2. He has provided 3 or 4 assists and scored 2 I think. That is ahead of all our other midfielders. Would you rather have McGeady? Lennon? Or pack the midfield with Besic, Barry and McCarthy? I can guarantee we will score less that 2 goals all season from midfield if you pick them. Alternatively you can put Naismith, Barkley or whoever on the right. Maybe Mirallas, but then who goes on the left? I have often posted about Lennon and McGeady being terrible signings and RM getting players in who are pleasant on the eye, but are completely ineffective in helping the team score goals. Alcaraz, Besic, Barry, McCarthy, Lennon, Kone, Atsu all look very good, but do not score goals. (Atsu may develop). My final point. if I am wrong, why are we finding we have 60% possession every game and getting maybe 3 shots at goal in 90 mins? Why do we get corner after corner. yet never score? Why have we drawn so many games that we should have won? I hear people saying he is turning us into Wigan. I can actually see the logic in that. Look around the premiership and it is littered with RM players that look really comfortable on the ball. Especially able to receive and pass. Yet none of them are able to score a goal and help their teams win games. Ossie is!

Agree1 Disagree3

04 Mar 2015 13:52:54
yeah so in other words, bar lukaku, mirallas and Naismith all of our players are awful and shouldn't be professionals, none should be in the same country as ossie. Plus because lennon hasn't got a goal nor assist in his 2 games it means osman is the Better winger (wingers usually being pacy, skilful, can beat a man, track back and cross, osman can't do any of those). #ossieforballondor #mysticdegsy

04 Mar 2015 18:47:02
Swan, Ossie is not a fast pace winger. I agree. He is a link player. One whocan play on the right or in fact anywhere in midfield and scores goals. something we are missing at present. With regards to Lennon, he is the same as McGeady. Both fast pacey wingers who can go past fullbacks and then misplace a pass. They do it all the time. They rarely get into shooting positions and when they do they very rarely score. I never said all our other players are awful. I am not sure where you picked that up. What I meant was Barry (who is clearly too slow now), MacCarthy and Besic are all so defensively minded, they do a great job hunting the ball down, but are useless going forwards. Gibson is different and so is Ossie and Pienaar. They can all get the ball back to goal, turn and play another player in. Used to be our full backs. The slow tactics we use without one of those players leave all the pressure on Lukaku, Naismith, Barkley or Mirallas to get the goals. From what I have seen of Ossie, he is better than Pienaar these days. Gibson is another option and he was class when he came on against Boys. I don't know why he didn't start against Arsenal? But Gibson also does not score many. I know I wind people up with my Ossie crusade, but time will tell. I hope I am right and he comes in and we get the few wins we need.
