Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

My prediction for the Wigan game would be 2-0, home win. Osman to score the first goal on 27 minutes. Feel free to put a bet on that lads.

My prediction is 2-2. We make a pigs ear of the early stages and go behind and equalise twice. Then we win the replay 2-1. A more likely scenario.

Don't like to see a player get injured but maybe the rumours about Rodwell were true. He's seen so many specialists over the past three years but doesn't look like he'll ever be able to shake off constant injury problems. Shame because he's class when fit. Read an article a few years ago saying it was his nervous system but personally believe its just a reoccurring hamstring injury. That's hope mirallas doesn't have the same long term issue. Also an interesting topic about players getting mysterious injures and been out for a few months is apparently to stop failed drug test becoming public knowledge which would potentially jeopardise future transfer fees youth football and ruin people's perception of professional footballers as a whole. One last point think Moyes is 100% going, shame but we move on COYB

Believable4 Unbelievable0

The injury mirallas has just come back from is the longest he has ever been injured he said so himself in a interview, so I don't think there is nothing to worry about, but bad look for rodwell though but it can't e denied that the club did some great business in selling him for the price we did

Ed is ther any truth that two members of liverpool council and representatives of Everton went to look at the aviva stadium in Dublin. {Ed025's Note - i believe that is true mate, but the why,s and wherefore,s are yet to be revealed..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Any ideas Ed? {Ed025's Note - the ones i have are best kept to myself mate..

Bluepaddy here I do know that when the Rugby/football associations were trying to sort the planning there was trouble with one stand as it cut off daylight to a row of house hence why at one end its mostly glass.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just had a quick look at the aviva stadium I think I would die of shock if everton ever built a stadium that good.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed why do we have to move grounds when surely demolishing the bullens
And paddock stand and replacing
With a new state of the art one incorparating exec boxes and three
Tiers like top balcony to increase capacity would seem a better investment than chaseing dreams {Ed025's Note - sometimes, you just have to cut your losses...the ground needs flattening for me, the way forward is a new stadium..

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks ed the reason I asked I was with my dad is is an evertonion norn in the ctynwho told me Karen Brady who is at west ham wrote an article saying she was asked to help broker a deal to groundshare between Everton and the darkside, could this happen could the council biuld the ground with both sides. have you heard anything, if you have is it us or them wanting this to happen. {Ed025's Note - i think we would welcome it, but the reds are not too keen..

Would never happen the FAI are in debt up to their eye balls after building the stadium plus the fact that a lot of concerts are held in the stadium to generate revenue to pay off the debt could never see any concerts been held in the stadium if everton ever built a new on with the echo arena in the city. Good times ahead for the blues with Wembley on the horizon ;)

COYB

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Nothing would give me more pleasure then to be cheering the blues onto the pitch at Wembley this season Mike. Really looking forward to the Wigan game and let's hope we can right our wrongs this season and win the cup.

if the Middle East consortium are to be resisted by Arsenal. make a phone call Bill. can't do any harm

Believable8 Unbelievable4

He`ll probably be ringing them 24/7, then the Echo will report on it just before we buy nobody in the summer, then he`ll have Big Nev, Andy Gray and Peter Reid in with the crowd at every home game just to appease the fans.
Cynical Blue.

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't sky say that the consortium has already spoken to Bill Kenwright.

just a quick question if we finish 7th but get in the fa cup final against utd or city (guaranteed champo league teams) do we get in the europa regardless of whether we win it or not.

Phil, COYB!

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Bit of a strange one this, from what I understand with the league cup the runners up don't get a spot in Europe should the winners qualify through the league but they do with the FA Cup, so theoretically yes.

Agree0 Disagree0

The answer is yes as remember Stoke got into europe on the back of losing in the fa cup final to man city the other year.

I said last week that Coleman and Mirallas could be the difference too keep us in the top 6 and challenge the top 4. They were outstanding on Saturday!
Let's hope they stay fit for the rest of the season.
The problem we have had since them two have been out injured is that teams are man marking Baines and Pienaar and Fellaini is being targeted so after that we have nothing.
With Coleman and Mirallas in the team when the opposition concentrate on the left side we switch to the right with them two with direct and pace it's hard for teams to cope then Mirallas and Pienaar switch and it's tough for the opposition top deal with.
Hope they stay fit and Jelavic starts scoring again. That will be the difference!

we have a top ten keeper in howard, the best lb in the league in baines, top 3 cb imo in jags, improved right back in coleman, top 5 rw in mirallas, top 5 lw in pienaar, top 3 cm in fellaini, we have some of the best players in the prem in certain positions, not bad considering all of them cost together is only over 30m while liverpool paid 35m for not even top 20 striker in carroll, up the league we go!.

Phil, COYB!

Believable9 Unbelievable7

UP the league your going further down

Agree0 Disagree0

We have Reina, Johnson, Agger, Lucas, Gerrard, Sturridge, and the best striker in the league who on current form would walk into your team but that doesn't count since all you can see is a player we loaned out

Agree0 Disagree0

Bit of optimism there Phil, however I do think you are overrating a few of our players there mate.

I disagree about Howard, don't think he is that good.
Agree with Baines.
Disagree about Jags, don't think he is anywhere near top 3 CB's.
I still think Coleman is useless.
Mirallas is quality.
Disagree about Pienaar, I think he has gone backwards and looks disinterested, (although it was a good goal on Saturday).
Fellaini is good, top 3 CM may be pushing it though.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Reina HA, johnson okay I will give you that, agger cannot defend (lukaku goal, van persie goal, etc), sturridge is awful and suarez best striker in the league. erm your forgetting about a certain dutch lad who plays for utd, van persie is it? and mike I agree having read my post but who is better than jags besides vidic and kompany? koscielny?, gallas? and fellaini is up there with yaya toure and I mean box to box cm not cam like mata and silva and howard is good

Agree0 Disagree0

I wasn't having a go at you mate, If that is your opinion then fair enough. However off the top of my head better than Jags, I would say
Kompany, Vidic, Vertonghen, Cahill, Agger, Williams, Evans. I'm not saying he isn't a good player though.
I think Fellaini is good, just not top class. Should stamp his authority on the game and dominate games a bit more.
Will still disagree about Howard though.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

Mike no offence mate but cahill is an attacking cb and struggles defensively, agger is the same only he is good on the ball but struggles defensively, evans is not even a top 5 cb at utd never mind the prem, jagielka is a better defender than williams, evans, cahill and agger however I do think that agger and cahill are better PLAYERS but are not as good as jags at defending which is the point

Agree0 Disagree0

I think mike has a point on Jags. I think he is a superb servant to our club. But we are just not good enough defensively right now to call hima top 3. I shudder when crosses come in at the mmoment because jags and buzz can't get it together for some reason. Top defender yes. Top 3. ?

Suarez is on a different level to RVP, RVP wishes he could half the things Suarez does. If you want to go on goals scored Suarez is the leading goal scorer. So based on what exactly makes you think RVP is better than Suarez?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate, did Suarez not just overtake RVP in the top scorer in the league after his hattrick over the weekend? He's not much better, their about the same in my opinion. Also, Suarez is playing every game for Liverpool whereas RVP is being rested for cup and Champions League matchs. You are just completly exagerating how good he is compared to RVP because he's in your team and as a Liverpool, you naturally dislike Man Utd.
Look at it from a neutral point of view, and you will surely agree that they are, more or less, as good as each other. And this is coming from someone who absolutely hates Suarez as a person, but as a player, he is outstanding.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Mar 2013 00:47:45
Laughing at you lot too blinded by your hatred of Liverpool to admit that Suarez is the best striker in the league. when you look at the goals RVP has scored, he is a typical fox in the box CF, with plenty of players to provide him with service. Liverpool have had a terrible season up until
Christmas, and in parts Suarez has carried the team and had to create chances for himself due to lack of service! You don't see RVP twisting and turning through defenders, creating 20+ goal scoring opportunities in a match! Put RVP in QPR and he would hardly score, he has the quality around him that enables him to score as many as he does. Suarez will score whatever team he plays for. To back this up he is the current league top scorer. To say RVP hasn't played as many games really is clutching at straws!

RVP - 19 goals in 26 league matches
LS - 21 goals in 27 league matches

Your point was?

Thought we played well sat through out large parts and puttin the ball down is definitely our best style of play, hoofin upfield isolates pienaar and mirrallas who need the ball at the feet, moyes screaming for the ball to be down was nice!
Jelavic was getting in better positions but his confidence is low maybe should train him against 2 keepers in the net and him just shootin as its laid off to him get him scoring past 2 keepers he will have a field day with one lol!

I reckon wigan will be a stroll if we play it right and hopefully get blackburn or millwall!

And we are worried about 35 million.
