The latest round of the coalman, evens saga, seems to say that we are in the middle of discusions with unt about such a deal. I don't want to sell coalman, but except that everyone has their price, but please god, let's not get conned into taking that excuse for a footballer, as any part of the price.

With the excitement of the new fixtures over, I've sat down and really looked at our opening 11 games (normally analyse the first 10 but we didn't play Watford last season ). Anyhow for these same fixtures last season we collected 9 points and 2 wins, with some completely abject performances to boot!

Now I too, am one who was taken in by Bobby Bull. During the first season and I would've carried him on my back out of The Old Lady had he resigned last year! But it's a new season and new hopes, we have the best squad we've had in years, and no stupid excuses this season. The first 11 games give us early opportunity to move on from last season, however they also pose serious potential problems! I'm looking at the Watford game and realise how important it is, not only for 3 points but for a good, professional performance with a distinct lack of errors from our players, in fact I can't remember when an opening game had such importance to us! With no disrespect to Watford these are the type of games we should not only be winning but destroying the opposition, but simply didn't last year!

So after 10 games will we all be saluting Bobby and have forgotten the last 12 months or will there be disharmony and riot on the Gladwis?? I think after the Watford game we'll all have a better idea!

So West Brom have two or three potential suitors looking to buy their club for 150m +. Yet we have nothing? I remember a few years ago now Bill saying we had employed a company to act on our behalf to find new buyers for the club. Really think advertising on EBay was a mistake Bill. Unless you lower your reserve price mate.

{Ed001's Note - West Brom have been running at a decent profit for years now. They are pretty much the model Ashley tried to follow with Newcastle. Which is why they are worth so much, as they are built around being profitable, not at trying to maximise results.}

Dont get what youve said there ed. So is that what were after, to be annual strugglers making a tidy profit so we can sell to someone else at a reasonable ammount for them to make a tits arse of things because they know FA about football. After all that's what these big billionaires are, people who know nowt about football but want a club as an accessory bag!

{Ed001's Note - no I was saying that was why West Brom sold easily.}
