Ok, where safe, but the performance was woful. Bill, grow a set and get rid of this connman. I think our goal, was our only shot all game, and without any disrespect, at home, against southhampton, it should be them defending for all they are worth not us. Gate recites, do not constitute the major part of our revenue stream, so perhaps the board can ignore supporters views, but without supporters, in the end you do not have anything.
Seems a long time ago now, but remember the joke of a preseason we had this year, are the board really going to wait for a reapeat of that before they deside to act?

Actually thought we were defensively sound at last JCW. Still believe he has to go, we cannot repeat this Wigan style and application season after season that is not us. Quiet for 3 quarters of a season is not good enough. I believe someone else made the comment that give him until November, well much against my better judgement that should give him enough rope but if we are the same then, BK I hope you act.

I would personally like to give him until May, of this year. Get the season over and get rid. He has turned the best attacking right full back into a player who isn't allowed past the halfway line, he stated we don't practice set pieces which is evident in the poor quality corners. He signed Kone and Alcatraz and tried to pass them off as footballers. He has turned Goodison into a library with his boring football. Sorry I would like a change to get our great club back were we belong before we lose all our talented players and possibly our top flight status.

Howard-7-solid. Coleman-6-erm, yay?. Stones-7-solid. Jagielka-8.5-bullied pelle, great today. Baines-7-took actual decent corners? Come on, where is the real baines? Hello? Hello!?. Barry-7-one dodgy pass which still went to one of our own, did his job. Mccarthy-7-worked hard and played further up, did well. Lennon-8-come here you! I love this guy, I love his attitude, his pace, his workrate, his pace, his heart, his energy and his pace, boss today, again. Barkley-7-suprisingly good first half, througn some tackles in and nut megged a few people but slips more than gerrard and that's another thing, how often do our players fall over? Its like goodison is watered all the ti. oh yeah. Osman-7-intelligent movement and did well. Kone-5.5-look arouna, pass to our players please? He held it up well but he just can't pass. Besic-6-.naismith-6-.good win, happy, well not really but we won! Woopy Doo!!

Got to say I agree with that, have you noticed Coleman does not get forward at all and offer the overlap for Lennon. Got to say its either he ain't arsed or he is following orders. Again today we were not imposing enough on the opposition and gave them the ball far to cheaply to many times. It is a concern for me that when we have the ball the movement from players off the ball is none existent and also the fitness levels are awful we looked dead on our feet in the last 10 minutes. All in all its 3 points but still going the game is like a chore for me I don't enjoy it but it has to be done. Oh and 5.5 for Kone is probably 6 to many he is just an African Brett Angel his 1st touch is that poor his second touch is either a header or throw in.

I moan because I expect better than what is being served up. Yes we got 3 points but we still look like we lack urgency and if we go into next season playing the same boring predictable football then mid table mediocrity is what we can expect and I for one won't accept that, we are better than this and it seems that the players are following orders that clearly don't work and restrict our attacking threat, its like the tactics have sucked the life out of them. But if your happy with how we are performing and how this season has gone, well mike my guess is your in the minority.

You have no right to expect better this is Everton not Real Madrid we're not this superpower what a lot of fans seem to think we are, we're not even the biggest club in our own city so get real with your expectations.

{Ed025's Note - i do have a right mike, we are the best club in the city, and no one can convince me anything different mate..

05 Apr 2015 21:36:50
and why don't I have a right to expect better? We have arguably our best squad since the glory days of the eighties yet we are 5 points behind Stoke! So yes we may not be Real Madrid but we are Everton and I expect better and believe we would be better with the right man in charge, and you say we are not the best in our city and why is that? At christmas both us and them were on 21 points and doing shocking what happened to us? We continued with the same boring one dimensional predictable football because our manager hasn't got a tactical brain wereas there manager changed it up and played to a system that suits his players. Horses for courses as the saying goes
So to me there lies the problem. You can argue until your blue in the face but if you accept what we have witnessed this season as a success then I really don't know what you would see as a failure. Just my opinion as you have yours we can't all agree and that's what makes forums thrive.

No Lukaku or Gibson, Barry plays I think he'd play even if his leg was hanging off!
Mirallas and pienaar on bench, Kone up front massive day to show his worth!
Not sure my confidence from earlier is quite as strong! COYB

Sunny day;looking forward to a couple of pre match scoops. Then back into town to celebrate 3points and more or less safety secured. It's been a many year since we have been talking about surviving; just not good enough RM.

All this paper talk regardino Lukaku at Everton and say Sterling at Liverpool just shows how naive some people in management at club are in their response. I thought last summer, Lukaku only signed for Everton for two reasons, first Everton were the only club stupid enough to meet the asking price and secondly no other club were interested at that price.
I would say now, no matter what excuses or reasons Lukaku and Sterling put forward or their agents, that neither have any intentions of staying at their current clubs.
If I was Bill, I would say, Lukaku you can go in the summer, for £35 m or more if they can get it. (What he cost us plus any other costs since eg wages as minimum). The longer Lukaku is at Everton the lower his resale value, unless his performances improve. That then puts the onus on the player and agent to come clean. They are out to bleed as much money out of the game as they can, only out for themselves.
Unfortunately with more money coming in with the new TVs deal situations like this will be more frequent. In some cases managers themselves fair no better.
I know a lot will disagree but I would not be in favour of another foreign manager. Gary Monk at Swansea doing a good job there.

strangely I have a good feeling for the Southampton game, but I think the downside of any late turnaround this season will only stabilise RM's tenure in BK's eyes.
He will escape the sack, he will not be trusted with a massive war chest to rebuild, we will end up signing average quality replacements and we will sell our prized assets as they no longer believe it is a club on the rise!
Sorry to have started positively and ended with a negative vibe, but it does seem all reactions can have an opposite and detrimental reaction!
