Hi ed002, not sure if you're still travelling but if you are enjoy. Was just wondering if you could provide us with anything new on ins and outs. Cheers mate.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Hey Joe (sounds like a song title), I don't have time right now but will do Thursday or Friday so please give me a prod. The summer is going well for Everton but there will be some reshaping to come with depratures and athere will be some more incomings. It'll need a lot of preseason effort.}

04 Jul 2017 06:36:08
It's a nice headache to have I suppose - trying to bed a load of new players in instead of making do!

I would imagine that Steve Walsh and Ronald Koeman would have indentified players that would blend as opposed to players that are just strong in their respective positions?

costa wants to sign for athletico won't go to china holding up lukaku why not take costa on loan till january then he can sign for athletico. well anything seems posible just now.

Hello everyone what a great transfer window so far but I'm greedy for more spending this money even if it is Lukakus sale money is refreshing to say the least, one player I have seen mentioned is Dembele the kid from Celtic does anyone or the eds know if we're serious about trying to get him or if our interest has passed? He's one I really want.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - we were interested ryan but it looks like giroud has moved above him now mate..maybe uncle farhad will get us both?..merry christmas.. :)

03 Jul 2017 23:27:14
Would love giroud I really like him hope we get him great signing that would be.

Agree2 Disagree0

04 Jul 2017 00:08:17
Any of the eds know if we in talks about andre gray. Heard we were a few days ago, or hasn't fizzled out.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we have looked at him dentie but it looks at the moment that giroud is our first choice, that could change and im sure his name will crop up again mate..

04 Jul 2017 09:55:45
Looking like giroud is happy to stick it out at arsenal now ed, maybe just paper talk but I would of liked at Everton.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Irronically another side have a meeting planned in London today about Giroud but they are waiting on another player to give them an answer before making an offer. We will see what happens but with another striker arriving he will have very limited time.}

03 Jul 2017 22:55:54
And I do wish Rom well in his merry future green pastures. And I do thank him for bringing Everton to this point.

Upwards and onwards. COYB.

03 Jul 2017 22:48:09
Who's do you think is next ed25, giroud, Rooney, sigusson all 3 😀.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - the 3 are still very possible smeghead, though if we never got wayne it would make me happy mate..

03 Jul 2017 23:52:34
Hi ed very exciting window so far for me I would love to see Rooney back must be willing to take huge pay cut tho his experience and leadership would be great for the club right now also I think many are writing him off to soon with the World Cup coming up and him willing to put the work in he could be a very good signing for us I'm sure he will be eager to prove a point and show everyone he is not finished yet and playing for Everton again might bring out the best in him would also like to see him play up front again to often over the years he has bin played outta position play him up front and get him scoring goals again it could turn out to be an excellent buy and a great leader who for me still has a few years left in him really can't wait for the new season even tho I think this new team might need time to gel and hope we as fans give them time and don't expect to much to soon our time is coming thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i certainly agree with the last part fiadh but on wayne im not sure, he has been an excellent player for united over the years but recently he has gone downhill for me, do we really need a fading superstar that could upset the dynamic of this group?, how much will he want and could that unsettle the other players?, there are too many questions and not enough answers for me mate and i would sooner look forward than back, maybe i will be proved wrong and he could elevate us to a higher level i just dont know, i will trust koeman on this one i think..

04 Jul 2017 11:24:21
Yeh got to admit when I heard the talk sport thing this morning I was hoping for something more exciting but if he comes then I'll support the lad,

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 22:30:15
So the reds say none of our new signings would get in there team. haha I bet any money if they signed Sandro or klassan they would be superstars oh and they were never in for Keane neither and Pickford is a relagated goal keeper that would not get a game in an Lfc shirt yawn. I think the reds are biting blues they seem rattled but hey there not bothered by us but yet they have done more talking about our signings than we have haha can't wait for the season to start now coyb.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - as far as i know its only jamie carragher saying that stef, hes being a bit of a WUM to be honest and im sure liverpool fans are well impressed really mate..well the ones who are,nt bitter anyway..

03 Jul 2017 22:59:13
I have this Kopite mate ed in work I change shifts with him, every time he comes in he starts slagging off our signings and I don't even open my mouth straight away he is into me like a dog on a bone but I just smile and say it's alright mate the window is only open I'm sure yis will do a bit of buisness when yis sell Contino gets him every time lol oh how times are changing.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its our time now stef, you should pity the poor fool mate.. :)

03 Jul 2017 23:05:27
Never a truer word spoken Ed cheers mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2017 06:29:31
I bet the fella has never even been to Anfield either Stef and renews his season ticket with Sky every 12 months just for the free Nivea cream.
As for not getting a game at there fix me up Arena, I would get a game in goal for them let alone Pickford, the 2 keepers they have couldn't catch a cold in the Arctic.
They are just jealous because their South Coast feeder club made public what type of club they really are.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 22:28:15
Loving all this transfer activity early doors, couldn't face another deadline day nail biter. Definitely think we've strengthened well so far but prob not enough for top 4 yet. Think gylfi or equivalent is the key, someone who can unlock defences the way erikson does at spurs or say hazard at Chelsea. I know Klassen has a bit of that about him but unproven in the PL. If we can source a bit of magic there and either keep or replace Lukaku then that's a pretty formidable looking team. Actually, maybe deadline day will be a nail biter after all.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

03 Jul 2017 22:39:37
Sigurdsson is the key for me mate. If Ross goes then this guy would be an improvement for me. Being greedy I know but if we only make one more signing in this window I would want him. Oh and Giroud, said I was being greedy. 😄😄😄.

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed025's Note - them 2 would complete the jigsaw for me woburn, come on farhad get that wallet out again mate.. :)

03 Jul 2017 22:17:26
Just to let you all know we're rich.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

03 Jul 2017 22:12:29
Any news on the Keane deal yet or still a bit early. Know a few Burnley fans and word is they have a whopping sell on fee (not sure of percentage) if he ever goes for £25m+. Or could that be why it is a 30 transfer and not the reported 25?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - hes signed kingo, £25m plus add on,s which could see it rise to £30m mate..

03 Jul 2017 23:49:23
Any sell on fee you know about ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i dont know to be honest kingo..

03 Jul 2017 21:58:54
Can't enjoy a new Everton signing just as I'm starting to take it in and dream they announce another bloody one slow down please my anxiety levels are going through the roof going the doctor in the morning to see if he will give me some Valium.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

03 Jul 2017 22:05:36
Loving the new signings but I'm really impressed with the way Everton announced Sandro and Keane, a nice little innocent video then BOOM! There he is, absolutely brilliant, hope we announce future signings that way 😀.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

03 Jul 2017 21:18:47
Those first Six games of the season don't look quite so daunting now I think the so called "Big Six" are going to be looking at Everton in a different light now they will be wary of playing us and can see us taking a good 12pts from those games if the new guys gel.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - too hard to predict at this stage for me AL, i would love you to be right though mate..

03 Jul 2017 20:57:03
What a day to be a blue!
Whilst the rest of the Prem sit about, we're picking off our targets one by one. Each one a player of real quality that will improve our squad. If any of the rumours around Rooney, Demarai Gray, Josh King. and others. are true, then we really will have a squad to push in and challenge over the next few years. COYB!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Jul 2017 20:28:56
whatever you think of the departure of Rooney, it cannot be questioned that he has been a great player, but, with regreat, the important part of that is the, has been.
even when unted where strugerling for results, he could not get a game, many times he could not get on the bench, we are going forword and cannot aford to be held back by sentimentality.
Love him or hate him, unt's manager is no fool, he has seen what he has left, and the answer is, very little.
I wish him well in a season or two in the us, and a good seat should he wish to pop in, he can come and do the kick off in our new home.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - exactly as i see it JCW..

03 Jul 2017 19:56:49
Club update Keane signed
Big. C.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - and the revolution rolls on.. :)

03 Jul 2017 20:02:50
Happy days. Where's sid when you need him to give us a probable squad list.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i miss sid, i hope he comes back soon geoff..

03 Jul 2017 20:15:41
Yeah ed. Was good skin. Always knowledgeable around squad info and set up.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 21:33:51
Was thinking of Sid today myself. We do need the squad to balance. No one could explain the exact technicalities of squad numbers and ins, outs, like Cowpat Sid.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i agree mate..

03 Jul 2017 18:58:29
Sandro done keane next looking good. Ed 25 who do you think will be next.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - giroud or dembele would be my guess bretto, but it could be anyone mate the revolution is in full flow and the face of football in england is a changing..

03 Jul 2017 19:15:03
We are going full throttle at this. I bet "the top6" will be looking over there shoulders in fear at us for once.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 22:10:10
It's exciting times hopefully some dead weight like niasse will go.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think thats a bit unfair on oumar bretto, he and the likes of clevs and naisy before them came in good faith and tried their best, never worked out for them but we should respect them mate..

04 Jul 2017 07:09:50
I don't mean it nastily just think it be best for all if we sell him especially him didn't really get chance to prove himself but hopefully he gets move were he will play maybe go back to Turkey or Russia.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i know that mate, i just want us to treat the players with respect when they talk about our club with affection and have given their best..

04 Jul 2017 13:28:39
Hopefully he will kick start his career any news on any other striker.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 16:58:00
You lot are doing some serious transfer business this summer for a change and I think you boys could challenge for the league this year. If my boys spurs go missing I would love to see you boys win it has I've always admired Everton from the 80s when you were the best football club in the country.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - lets hope so raver, the thing is that we have a very tough start and with trying to integrate players it wont be easy, but im sure we will give it a decent shot mate..cheers..

03 Jul 2017 17:13:51
Hey Ed make no mistake the first 6 teams we play too have a tuff start by coming up against us mate I think other teams could start fearing what is going on at Everton and one or two of them could be beaten before we play them.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - thats a fair point shakey, i suppose im just preparing myself just in cast things dont gel immediately mate..

03 Jul 2017 18:20:38
We are signing young players and building, if things do not gel at first we must be patient as I am sure we will get it right.
We still need another forward, attacking midfielder and possibly left back cover for Baines as he is getting on a bit sadly.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 19:19:35
Hopefully we will be up and running fitter than the rest because of our early start.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - you could be right eddy..

03 Jul 2017 16:36:55
If we could get Rooney on loan and bring in Girou from arsenal, do you think that would be better than just getting gifi, cannot see us being able to afford everyone and I do think Rooney could get slot of goals for us and bring on the youngsters, plus he's got the winning way, just think he's got so much to offer us at this point, we need experience and leaders, he has everything.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - loan or pay as you play then i would take him BH, and your right he does have everything mate...but a course of penicillin will sort that out.. :)

03 Jul 2017 16:22:29
This summer is so amazing I really don't care what happens with Lukaku. Stay and of course I'll be happy. Leave and I'll say thanks for the £££ not that we needed it anyway.

Normally I'd be hiding behind the sofa when clubs came sniffing around our best players. Now my attitude is if you think it's going to be miles better else where then I'll get your coat.

So if Lukaku stays or goes, I couldn't really care. Thanks to Moshiri, this has been the hottest summer since '76

COYB.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - its what we have been asking for for a long time ace....quality signings and done early, we are not finished yet though and people are sitting up and taking notice..its great mate..

03 Jul 2017 15:51:46
Hey Everton fans, been keeping a keen eye on the transfer window and especially our cross town neighbours, looking good for you guys with recruitement so far, some serious money spent etc, be good to see how we get on against each other in the new season let's hope merseyside are dominating and taking the power from Manchester! Any way all the best for the new season and good luck with the further recruitment! maybe we could borrow moshi for a while to sort our faltering recruitment drive lol.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

03 Jul 2017 16:40:40
It's about time we are on an even keel, but we all no money doesn't always bring success, but let's hope with RK we have someone who can change things for the better, thanks for your comments and good luck as Well, Merseyside at the top of the premiership would be great, but the toffee just one step ahead.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 17:59:33

Whilst these pages seem full of positivity at the minute, now seems the right time to ask the question. Anyone else think Rom might be staying? If ambitions was the issue, I think we've shown it in abundance.
In my opinion there are only 3 clubs who would seem a likely fit for him. Bayern (who I can't see paying much for him) , Man Utd and Chelsea with the last two seemingly preferring Lewandowski, Belotti and Marotta. Where dies Rom seems to fit in to the 'wants. And has he been clever I saying his 'I know where I'll be playing' and 'everything is being sorted' without actually sayi g he will DEFINATELY be leaving us. Coukd he backtrack and say it was us who he was re-re-re-sorting it out with.
At the minute, I don't think a striker who can guarantee the goals in the premiership like he can would be on our radar, I terms of age, proven record, wages etc.
It's one I can't make my mind on at the moment.
But at the minute I'm just enjoying this ride. Havent been this excited since the birth if my kids. Haha.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

03 Jul 2017 15:07:13
Personally can't see him wanting to stay Kingo but that shouldn't dampen our moods. Feels like the players we are bringing in are of a much higher standard than what we would have been bringing in in previous transfer windows.

Also nice to see us getting business done early.

Good times ahead.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 15:16:23
Hi Kingo mate, I reckon Rom will stay, a lot of tripe written in the rags, it sees to me all this rubbish seems to do is turn the fans against him, at the end of the day if he goes he goes, his goals are good but he just doesn't seem to turn up at the big games, it's only my opinion of course but I reckon R K will have someone special lined up if he goes, chees GuernseyBlue, ps Happy Days ahead.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 15:49:21
Agreed GB. Wont lose sleep if he goes. His all round play is certainly not worth the 70-100 million we are apparantely asking for. However, if he stays, which I think and hope he will, he will have to sign a new contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 18:18:27
I hope to God he goes and quickly. We are building a TEAM and we don't need any distractions or egos.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 21:13:55
In fairness to him, football is a job and Everton pay his wages. Nobody can criticize anyone for showing ambition, just the way he has gone about it perhaps. If he stays (because he now actually thinks we match his own ambitions) , signs a new deal, learn from his mistakes, continues to bang in the goals and continue to develop along with the club, us fickle fans will soon forgive.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 21:58:46
The one thing about Rom. easy to forget. mina raiola. it's not good business for him to keep Rom at goodison. from day 1 that guy said he was too big for Everton. and he's been telling him so and touting him all over Europe ever since. I'd be gob smacked if Rom stays. the sooner raiola isn't meddling in Everton affairs the better.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - amen to that mate..

03 Jul 2017 13:50:11
Great to see Lennon back at training today. Thoughts with him on his journey.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yeah good luck to the lad burton, the club have a very difficult decision on his future i think, he is obviously not part of the plan but it would look bad if we tried to move him on at this very difficult time for him, i hope things go well for him and that all concerned can find some common ground mate..

03 Jul 2017 14:31:23
Give him 6 months to make sure he gets his head in the right place then look to loan him out. In all fairness we are currently short of wingers and have a lot of games so he may find himself getting the odd game.

Agree1 Disagree0

04 Jul 2017 11:20:19
I think the best thing for him is to move on to a club where he will play every week, too much time on your hands otherwise, best cure for depression is keep your mind and body occupied and you will feel a lot better, I like the lad as he gives everything he has but sat on our bench or in the reserves every week will not aid his mental health whatsoever

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2017 11:19:34
There's an article in the echo oscar that lists the players who have returned to training today and shows a few photos as well.
Barkley isn't mentioned at all and I couldn't see him in any of the photos.
On a happier note Aaron Lennon has returned to training today, hopefully he's on the road to a full recovery.

What do you guys think will happen on 1st day of season should the unlikely happen and Lukaku is still an Everton player? will he still get our unwavering support?
I do expect him to go but just wondered what you all thought.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

03 Jul 2017 11:42:31
He would get ny support 100% nor many strikers who can get u 20 + goals a season an could be a big statment for champ league spot.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 13:34:28
I'd support him for sure! not sure your term "unwavering support" fits on these pages as he gets a lot of crap on here. from people who somehow think he should be less about his own career and more about the clubs. bonkers! get in the real world. i'm 41 and he is by far the best striker we've had in my life time. Its the usual 3 or 4 moaners so in context I hope he would be supported by the fans. He owes us nothing. especially if he is sold for £80 million bucks.

Agree0 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 13:52:20
I think any player should have the supporters backing however they need to show the club some respect which is why he will get my support when pulling on the shirt but I cannot condone his behaviour and will welcome him leaving.

Agree2 Disagree1

03 Jul 2017 10:43:58
Even Robbie Fowler has came out and praised our business so far and went as far as saying we have made the rest looking silly and stole a march on clubs. In all seriousness though lads, why has the Lukaku deal not been done, considering he knows were he will be playing next season and the terms are agreed on his end, why is he still on our books? I think he may end up with egg on his face as Conte doesn't seem too keen given his lack of work rate. Let's get Giroud in next and Sig hopefully and then I feel we will have a decent squad to compete next season.
Leicester winning the league highlighted what having a team who work for each other can get you if you get the tactics right, we have a couple of players who don't want to be part of the team so regardless of any bids for either I would not give them a squad number and show them that only players who want to be part of the new look Everton are welcome, Niasse got that last season so why not Rom and Ross.

Agree1 Disagree0

03 Jul 2017 10:46:39
I honestly don't care about him. I've wanted him gone for two years.

It's a team game and this is one part he can't get to grips with. He needs the other 10 players as much as they need him but he doesn't see it that way.

Sandro looks like a workaholic and fits Koemans thinking and with more strikers being linked today with Rooney and Giroud I'd be happy with that for next season. I think we're better than Rooney but as a back up he'll do for now.

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Jul 2017 13:28:38
Spot on BlueJohn. Giroud and Josh King will do me, don't want nor need Rooney.

Agree0 Disagree1

03 Jul 2017 01:35:07
Just reading through some of the rumours on here folks as well as the Banter stuff. & interesting to hear the views of everyone with regard to new strikers to replace Lukaku, who incidentally has shown this Club no respect at all with his attitude. We have Sandro in the bag and are being linked with Giroud and also Josh King of Bournemouth (who I think would be a perfect fit for Everton) and also the lad Muriel at Sampdoria. But don't forget young Calvert Lewin as Koeman seems to rate him very highly. Just a thought also Blues. I personally last year never doubted from the outset that Moshiri would not rest until he had secured the services of Koeman even when it looked unlikely! I also still believe that Usmanov will buy into Everton hopefully sooner rather than later. He is extremely unhappy at not having a voice at Arsenal despite pumping in millions over the years. He isn't even on the Board. I for one would love to see him join forces again with Moshiri as they are still business partners. Gylfi Sigurdson next please. let's hope for a great season to come. Coyb.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

03 Jul 2017 02:15:41
Well I hope that you are right about Usmanov but he has to sell his Arsenal shares first and that may well be difficult. In the meantime Moshiri is doing a pretty dawn good job on his own don't you think?

This level of transfer business is unheard of in our history, congratulations to all concerned . You've made us proud again and this year not having to look over our shoulders at who the other teams have signed . great stuff.

What we going to do on deadline Day, with targets already in, be good watching other clubs running like headless chickens panic buying, while Moshi kicks off his shoes, lifts a glass of wine while Bill lights Moshis cigar with a £50 note, what a refreshing change.

At the rate we are going I'd still not be surprised with a deadline day signing. Just keeps up the tradition of getting one over the line at quarter to eleven. Just hoping sigurdsson is still of interest, even at 40 million, his assists and goals ( if got us CL football) would pay the fee back. remember it's not our money. Loving the early deals though. Probably to get them training and understanding formations before we kick off the season. Bet even Rom has it in the back of his mind about staying lol.
