He would off but I'm sure I read that his demands were ridiculous can't remember were I read it but I'm sure West ham pulled out because he was asking for 100k a week and a 90k per goal bonus if that's true it would have finished bk off if he scored a hat trick lol

The riquelme shouts used to be funny starting to get a bit stale now

Believable1 Unbelievable1

31 Aug 2015 22:34:32
Agree completely mate, I get we need laughs when there is nothing good to talk about but Riquelme shouts are beyond repetitive. You've seen one you've seen them all.

He is a blue, his kids go to school on the wirral and he is available. I have a feeling we could see him in blue.

I know this will split opinion but I would try and use mirallas as part of the deal for yarmolenko. Frustrates me more than any other player (apart from mcgeedy of course) or if they didn't like that maybe a deal where he was loaned back until they were no longer in the champions league. Wouldn't be bad knowing we had a nice little Christmas present

Believable0 Unbelievable2

31 Aug 2015 22:30:25
Yes a Christmas present that involved one of our best players going. You do know players have a say in this right? We can't just say 'hey Kev we are signing Yarmolenko' Kev: 'get in', Martinez: 'yeah, you're part of the deal, bye now'. Also, get rid of Mirallas AND LET THEM KEEP YARMOLENKO until they are out the Champions League. Seriously? We going to cope with Osman and Kone on the wings hoping none of them get injuries?. No offence mate, I'm not having a go at you personally, just this idea is insane. Get rid of one of our best players for free, in fact, paying a team to take Mirallas and we get nothing for a few months. I know Mirallas is frustrating mate but it doesn't help when he is constantly benched while we have a Striker and Midfielder on the wings. Would be an embarrassing bit of business that would make us a laughing stock. Again I'm not any way having a pop at you. Mirallas is our best attacking player, why get rid for literally nothing for a few months not only leaving us short on plauers, not only leaving us without our best player, not only costing us money, not only do we not use the player for a long time but we also are paying someone to take Mirallas off of us?. I don't know mate, seems to costly and pointless. Players like Mirallas are frustrating, the one who is consistently brilliant is Ronaldo. Hazard has been atrocious this season, cannot see Mourinho offering for example, 30m plus Hazard and you can keep Pogba on loan for most of the season while we pay his wages. Is there something in this idea I'm not seeing that is brilliant business? Please explain mate because I'm really fascinated on why you think this would be good business.

Agree0 Disagree1

31 Aug 2015 22:33:42
Right I completely misread the post, I thought it said if they don't like Mirallas then also include itbwhere he stays on loan. Stupid me, you have my sincere apologies. Though I don't agree with either idea, I should of read your post again sorry mate. 🙈

Neither am I its just wishful thinking more than anything else Iv just really had enough of mirallas but yeah I totally agree he would t wanna go there and the reason I think it wouldn't be bad business to buy him now and loan him back is I can just see the winter transfer window now and how pissed off we all are because there will be a bidding war for him and we won't even be in the running. Be good to get it done now and have no worries come Christmas

Not meant to be funny Duncans mum, have to trust in RM and the board, we have money to buy, but who? And how much? Weve kept stonesy ( ask the beetles ) and Shamus ( cheeky sausage eaters ) COYB FOR EVER

That's right Zulu and I think we know that it'll be Lennon. Even though we clearly need a playmaker, it looks as though we will just have to knuckle through. Hope I'm wrong but can't see us getting what we all want. Having said that, all about us seem to be panicking so to paraphrase Kipling, let's keep our heads (but hope for a pleasant surprise.) being an Evertonian means that we are never short on hope.

If it is Lennon I hope we don't let Levy rip us off. The lad seems to only want to come to us, so as they need to sell we should play hard ball.

We can register 25 players aged over 21 (that's born before 1994 for the current 2015-2016 season) in our squad for the Premier League.
As the time of writing, we have 24 players aged over 21:
Howard, Robles, Coleman, Hibbert, Baines, Garbutt, Oviedo, Jagielka, Barry, McCarthy, Besic, Gibson, Junior, Cleverley, Osman, Pienaar, Barkley, Mirallas, McGeady, McAleny, Naismith, Kone, Lukaku and Rodrigues. (Stones and Deulofeu are still regarded as aged-under-21.) Once Mori is granted a work permit, he'll take the the 25th place.
Garbutt is on a season-long loan, so surely won't have to be registered in our squad, which frees up a place for another incoming aged-over-21 player. However, we'd have to create room by moving players out (or omitting them from the squad) if we wanted to bring in any further aged-over-21 players. As it stands - apart from Junior possibly going on a season-long loan - I see no evidence that RM wants to let any other aged-over-21 players move. I imagine that's why he's apparently looking at just 1 - maybe 2 - additions. Notwithstanding the injury to Cleverley, I'd imagine that it's in the forward area (striker and/or number-ten) where RM is still looking to recruit.

31 Aug 2015 19:56:50
dentielad: Yes - Junior is currently on loan at Wigan Athletc, but (unlike Luke Garbutt at Fulham) it's not for the entire season, but just for the next month or two at the moment.

I just checked and Junior has extended his loan to January. On that basis, he could be omitted from our squad at the end of this transfer window and, if necessary, be included in the squad when it can be re-submitted at the end of next January's transfer window. I guess that gives us 2 slots in the squad - hopefully one will be the play-maker that we are all wishing for.
As for Junior's situation, I really should thoroughly check my facts before posting ;-)

Think it's already been extended, and he is supposedly doing well,so I reckon he may have it extended again in January.

I think Martinez is assembling a really good team, but I'm just not sure he actually knows how to use it. I look at the other teams in the league and I honestly think our best 11 are better than most of them. However I am frustrated week after week with team selection and tactics. I think he talks a really good game but when it actually comes down to the business on the pitch, he is sadly lacking. I really like the fella and his handling of the whole Stones saga has been great, but where it matters I'm still not convinced about him. I really really hope he proves me wrong, because obviously that would mean the Blues are flying and that would be brilliant! I'm just not sure he's the one to do it. Any thoughts?

{Ed025's Note - i think you speak for a lot of us ITB, my feelings down to a tee mate..

we need a few players with trophy wining experience to help the team out in my opinion, in some games people like lukaku, barkley and co can loose sight of the teams goal and go missing in action to often did it too much last season

also hate the way bringing new blood in comes down to just one day at the end of the window when the transfer window is open all summer long just like any bloke who leave xmas shopping to xmas eve

ITB A rational assessment well thought out, good post mate ;)

BOTN, good call with ''we need a few players with trophy wining experience''

and it does't matter imo where they play (keepers excluded out field only)

Preferably league winners in England, Spain, Italy or Germany.
As they can identify lack of focus as well as showing stoicism when needed .

Mikel has 2 goals in his career. The jury is still out on Cleverley though he has done well. Mikel can only play one position and is terrible there. Cannot see him coming in, playing on the Left Wing and playing well. Plus Mikel would cost a transfer fee and is on over 60k a week. Worse than all other players in our position. Don't fancy dropping McCarthy for him. Thankfully we are not interested and neither is anyone else unsuprisingly.

watching lukaku on Saturday I can't understand how one match he's unplayable and the next he's terrible against Southampton he was outstanding a player of his size and strength should be bullying everyone he's up against I'm not having a go he's one of my favourite players but I'd love him to have the big dunc effect where defenders wet themselves when they see him warming up

Believable1 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2015 12:42:30
said it before there is no one that is pushing him for his place! he must be first name on the teamsheet and he knows it, that is why we really need another striker asap!

He played 120 minutes on wednesday which was a huge stint as alone attacker
He probably was a bit knackered he has played every minute of every game this season so give him a break he is still only 21.

billydean, really you haven't spotted it. Against Southampton Lukaku was free to run rampant because Kone was in direct support holding up play and releasing Lukaku. Since that revelation from our illustrious Mr Bean, what does he do with Kone after that? plays him out wide. The bloke is worse than tinker man.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2015 11:54:08
He couldn't be any worse than who does the negotiating. We definitely need strengthening and to be fair imo Januzai was one of those. If we were interested then yet again we have messed up as others are more advanced than us. As for doing business last thing, that is just downright stupid, any players are likely to be more expensive or discards and what does that say for our standards. After 56 years of supporting Everton, I rate this present managerial setup as bad if not worse than Walker.

Stones, Jagielka and Barkley in the England squad. Who wants to bet that Smalling and Cahill will be Englands Centr Backs for the Euros?. Chris Smalling is the same Height as Distin you know. Remember how Distin used to bully the likes of Benteke, Lukaku and Negredo?. Well, Smalling may be the least intimidating Centre Back in the league, he is so weak. I've stated before how I do not give a damn about England as a national team because I don't like the idea of cheering for Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal players. Or how boring they are, or how pointless it all is. That's not the point, do the FA seriously think Roy Hodgson will do anything with England? His tactics are old and predictable. He plays Strikers on the wing and wingers as Strikers. He's an embarrassment on and off the field with his comments. Just a question, is Woy Hodgson the right man to manage England? I want Jags and all that to do well obviously though.
