31 Aug 2011 23:47:03
drenthe confirmed ssn season long loan. gutted about arteta but maybe pave the way for donovan in january. haven't heard apeep on ssn about macheda unless you've got inside sources ed {Ed024's Note - Nothing it's all done, just two in and four out, Drenthe is being reported as loan to free transfer at end of season, good player and no cost only wages

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Signing Drenthe with the option of a free transfer looks a good deal. He's defo got great skill and speed.

I can't see Donovan happening in January though. Would a club in financial trouble sign a player of his age, on high wages, regardless of how good a player he is? Doesn't make financial sense, especially considering we just sold Arteta for those reasons. {Ed025's Note - good point..

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 23:46:20
Disgrace! Why do none of the board put in some cash! Unproven loans/frees in top goal scorers out!! What the he'll Is going on!!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

31 Aug 2011 23:41:58
We all knew 1 player would b sold early but the deal would b put on hold till the last minute so money went the bank {Ed024's Note - good shout, glad its miky and not screech

Believable2 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 23:41:48
gutted yes he aint been in the
best of form 75k frees up 3.9 mil

31 Aug 2011 23:40:29
No wonder Arteta was so desperate to take the penalty on Saturday, a farewell goal!!

Believable3 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 23:37:52
Is their another striker in the pipeline or is it just 3 out 2 in?? ED {Ed024's Note - All done, 4 out inc Duffy, 2 in Drenthe free transfer and Denis Stracqualuisi on loan. very poor, FREE transfers and unattached players can still move...

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Any decent free agents about. midfield, forwards.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 23:35:51
No confirmation of Drenthe yet. If not, it means our first team squad has lost six players since this time last year with only one addition on loan. With the usual crop of injuries, this could signal very difficult times this year! {Ed024's Note - Drenthe is confirmed frree transfer

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 23:33:54
So, with a thread bare squad we let 3 leave permanently and sign 1, admittedly so far, on loan! Not good enough! One word Disgrace!
Why wait until 2 hours before the window shuts and not signa replacement? Barton, Bently, Jenas, Wright-Phillips, Parker, all moved and are players we couldhave gonefor, I really am worried for the future of our great club!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 23:33:44
Mikel Arteta will be truly missed by all evertonians i am sure and all people who boo him should be taken out the stands, though i agree it was a bit of a shock to lose a player of such class we should respect the amount of years service that he gave us But i am glad to say that we have signed The top scoring argentinian player with 22 goals in 35 games to his name on a loan and we have signed Drenthe on a free who is a classy player all in all we have signed some great players so we shouldnt be too down and we also have Ross Barkely so we shouldnt get too depressed :(

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Is the Drenthe deal confirmed? and is it a free transfer or loan deal? {Ed024's Note - Confirmed free transfer

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 23:33:40
Does Arteta going for an undisclosed fee mean that we are getting the s**tty end of the stick again? Never mind, BK the crafty twxt, will be handing it all over to the bank in the morning. Love Moyes'y to death....fxck off Bill. (Wavertree Blue)

Believable4 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 23:32:17
beckford, yakubu, duffy , arteta out drenthe, stracqualarsi and onouha in bad times ahead not one of thses players we need position wise

Believable2 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 23:31:55
I know you are mad busy ED, but im now worried as nothing has been confirmed apart from the argie fella, so if that is it..16 mill in transfers, nothing to moyes, 150k off the wage bill and 3 go out 1 in and we already have the smallest squad in the league..moyes will walk, and BK shoud be f**kin ashamed, a very sad day to be an evertonian {Ed024's Note - Drenthe signed confirmed, Beckford confirmed 4.5m, Arteta confirmed 10m+2m addons, still awaiting club confirmation on Yakubu but believe it to be done 2.5m rising to 3.5m

Believable3 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 23:29:15

Late Onuoha talks?: Sky are reporting that Everton are in very late talks with Manchester City..... a defender ??? WE NEED A STRIKER FOR GODS SAKE

Believable2 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 22:51:36
Arteta cant be moving sky have just shown him at goodison on one would take a risk on him without a medical with his problems

Believable0 Unbelievable5

31 Aug 2011 22:51:05
If we somehow sign Gignac, The Argetinian, Onuoha and Drenthe whilst somehow hold onto Arteta, I will be a very happy Toffeeeeeee!
COYB!

Believable0 Unbelievable3

31 Aug 2011 22:48:17
I have loved Arteta but we have to cash in on him now otherwise his value will be negligible this time next year, I know it is sad but it is in the best interests of the club he leaves. Moyes will motivate the boys and we will still finish above the s**te COYB .

Toffeman85

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Thought he just signed a long deal ?

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 22:40:00
Wonder if we've freed up enough wages now?!

Yakubu - 40k
Arteta - 75k
Beckford - 30k?

Bet we'll still use that excuse in January...

Believable3 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 22:38:45

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Thank god

31 Aug 2011 22:29:34
Was 9 Mill bid for Jelavic from us? {Ed024's Note - No LCFC

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Yes !

Agree0 Disagree0

Leicester have got Beckford, surley they have no more money left. Wouldn't it be good if it was us?

Agree0 Disagree0

If it was who coughed up the 9mill? aint kenwright, not the bank {Ed024's Note - It was LCFC who went back in with a 9m bid

Agree0 Disagree0

If anyone has the influence, it's DM..

Agree0 Disagree0

The £10m from Arteta sale !

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 22:27:30

Our John just been to finch farm and all deals are done for today so Arteta Yak and Beckford out and two unheard of players in on loan Not good enough

Believable2 Unbelievable1

31 Aug 2011 22:24:26
Everton Football Club is becoming a very dark place at the moment, fans are turning on each other, it's not pleasant.

I for one am raging. Two strikers out, one inexperienced in. One creative midfielder out, no one in. I am utterly sick of being the embarrassment of the transfer window, we're REALLY going to struggle this season, where are our goals going to come from, Anichebe?

I don't think Kenwright is realising how big an outrage he has caused tonight, tomorrrow will be the start of an uprising I believe, Mikel looks set to leave, HUGE loss. Drenthe in(NOT CONFIRMED YET) would be a good addition.
Our squad is small enough, WE ARE TURNING INTO A SELLING CLUB!

GP

Believable3 Unbelievable1

31 Aug 2011 22:23:17
If we sign Denis Stracqualuisi, Gignac and Drenthe and the Arteta deal falls through this will be the happiest day of my life :D

Believable4 Unbelievable1

31 Aug 2011 22:22:41
This transfer window along with the last few is enough to turn use everton fans against this thes club.....an it'll only get worst cant see anyone coming in only out

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 22:19:44
BK is a tosser - he says he loves the club but he fails to put us on the market and he always seems to be waiting for `the right buyer` i couldnt give one who buys us aslong as they have money!!

Believable1 Unbelievable1

31 Aug 2011 22:16:16
Where the he'll is Ed025? Today of all days! I've heard he's off having talks with the Arsenal rumours page... {Ed024's Note - nice

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 22:14:29
My worst fears of losing so many players has proven to be correct this is why I will never again renew my season ticket until BK and this cancerous board are removed, i will still follow my beloved everton but from a tv screen instead....I foresee a massive backlash from the fans at the coming home games.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

31 Aug 2011 22:13:51
So what's the score with this Argentinian and Drenth? Not a peep from the club and it's gone 10pm. I've got a bad feeling about this. {Ed024's Note - very few clubs actually confirm til about midnight so lets not worry, Beckford gone 4m rising to 4.5m if they get promoted, Yak gone 2.5m rising to 3.5m if they get promoted, Drenthe in, Denis Stracqualuisi in, one more to come

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Where can Blackburn get promoted to Ed? {Ed024's Note - Apologies to all, I meant to say stay in league...OOOPPPSSS

Agree0 Disagree0

Who's this 'one more ' then Ed ?? {Ed024's Note - dunno, now BBC saying Drenthe deal is reliant on Becks and Yakubu deal being confirmed....

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 22:07:54
Well he was certainly the best little spaniard I ever knew. Love him and gutted but good deal and wish him all the best. (Wavertree Blue) {Ed024's Note - yes for sure no hard feelings and best of luck

Believable4 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 22:07:31

Ed,Any ideas if there is a replacement for Arteta in the pipeline. {Ed024's Note - NO, unlikely this late on, midfield will be 4/5 from this lot:
Coleman, Osman, Barkley, Fellaini, Cahill, Rodwell, Billyaletdinov

Believable1 Unbelievable0

We're signing drenthe so whack him in there

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 21:59:38

Good luck Arteta, thanks for the memories you have been fantastic, i hope im not the only toffe who thinks he deserves this chance

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 21:50:05
Not good, go from suicidal to extactic to suicidal in a couple of hours!
Arteta, Beckford and Yak, possibly Yobo as well, all out on permanent deals n we get Drenthe and the Argie bloke ON LOAN, what do we do it a year when they go back and we have no money to buy new players cause we know this Money will go to the bank!
Drenthe is a holding midfielder as well so I worry we will be lacking creativity in the middle with out Arteta!
I could cry!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Drenthe is a winger/wing back you crazy c**t

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 21:49:33
Mikky has apparently asked to leave everton according to ssn, i'd say his bluff got called on his high wage demands and he flinched! no idea who this dennis lad is but never mind what he looks like on you tube, remember the lazy russian looked savage on youtube and he's usless.... sure i could make big vic look like a world beater in 90 seconds on you tube, however i'd really struggle to find 90 seconds of good vic videos!!!!

Believable0 Unbelievable1

31 Aug 2011 21:46:25
Got to accept that arteta wants the move, his agent would not have ressurected the deal otherwise. Let's just accept that he wants bigger things (champs league) and he obvously thinks that the arse is goin to get him it.. Goodbye Mikel you will be sadly missed and irreplaceable to Everton football club. COYB!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

31 Aug 2011 21:41:44
Arteta asked to leave when he heard arsenal the bid. Gutted !

Believable0 Unbelievable0

''ARTETA back on! Come on you Gooners!''

Pleeeaaasssee Arsene...please do it ffs!!

Believable0 Unbelievable3

31 Aug 2011 21:38:48
IF ARTETA GOES.THE WHOLE OF EVERTON FOOTBALL CLUBS MORALE WILL DROP PLAYERS AND FANS,UNLESS SOMEONE IS COMING IN AS GOOD AS HIM WHICH IS LOOKING HIGHLY UNLIKELY

Believable4 Unbelievable2

31 Aug 2011 21:37:16
Arteta didn't go back to get the deal done it's because Wenger himself stepped in :( hope he doesn't go-hope it's too little too late {Ed024's Note - He's gone

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 21:37:06
Whats happened to yobo deal? Has anyone come in for Anichebe {Ed024's Note - I wish but there is only one Liecester FC

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 21:36:13
ed can you tell me whats going on mate? drenthe jegovic jonson whats happening my good man {Ed024's Note - Drenthe finalising loan/free transfer dependant on salary and pay off from Madrid, Jonson not happening, Donovan not happening(January), Beckford-gone, Yak-gone, Yobo maybe gone for as little as 1m

Believable0 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 21:35:32

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Believable1 Unbelievable1

31 Aug 2011 21:29:36
To be fair Arteta has given us some great service over the years, carn't knock him if he wants european football. Good luck micky. {Ed024's Note - AGREED

Believable2 Unbelievable1

31 Aug 2011 20:51:09
If beckford and Yakubu have gone then surely moyes must be getting a striker ??
He honesty must know that we can't survive with Saha (injury prone) and the goal machine that is Anichebe and a unknown unproven lad from argentina ??
Here's hoping we see striker before 11 o'clock !! {Ed024's Note -think its most likely in the pipes if these two sales are confirmed

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Crosses everything for Sturridge arrival ! {Ed024's Note - would be ideal

Agree0 Disagree0

Seriously, we must have something up our sleeves we can't have saha, anichebe as our recognised strikers haha

Agree0 Disagree0

Plus new boy Denis Stracqualuisi, Valios , Cahill even ?

Agree0 Disagree0

This Denis player look good on Youtube but they're obviously his best bits, he could be poo. And what with 'Temprimental Saha' and 'Lazy b**tard Anichabe' what chance have we got.. What is Moyes thinking, also a couple of hrs ago we where going to sell our prized asset Arteta..

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 20:43:19
Arsenal bid 9m for Arteta, we asked for 6m plus Van Persie. Wenger took the hint!

Meanwhile we asked about Sturridge on loan, Chelsea have proposed swap for Barkley!

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Sturridge for brkley? Interesting! But no chance!

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 20:18:58

ive heard 2 of these will come in on loan
fingers crossed blues.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

SWP was at QPR as you wrote this !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Man City say no loan moves for Adam Johnson would be welcome

Agree0 Disagree0

Any loan bid from stoke would not be welcome thats what i heard what man city said,so sounds like they would be willing to loan out but not to stoke

Agree0 Disagree0

Man city are letting johnson go out on loan or a permanent.

A lot of evertonians have lost faith and have been very negative.. I have tried to remain positive but will admit i was starting to turn.. Drenthe (sp) is a quality player and is Lightening fast. Denis from all accounts seems a decent player as well. If beckford an yak go and are replaced by a decent striker i will be very pleased with our summer. (however much i like beckford)

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I agree, it seems like we are having a decent deadline day. COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree totally ! Only if we get a decent striker in i will be very pleased with today's buisness !!
If we don't get a striker i will be worried, SAHA AND ANICHEBE ALL SEASON !! Thats a scary thought

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 19:40:30
Sorry if last post was old news I just got in from work and switched on SSN, really relieved about Arteta, just a quick question though Ed. Is it to soon to get excited? {Ed024's Note - YES YES YES, on the other hand that's what football is all about dreaming and excitement!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 19:17:08
nedum onuoha to join on loan, also we have made a bid to take sturridge on loan

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Sturridge would be fantastic. We definitely need another striker i think. The Argentinian we have nearly signed sounds a decent player and drenthe would be fantastic. He would be the wide player we need. Fingers crossed for another striker in especially if beckford and yak go. {Ed024's Note - looks like Becks is a done deal!!! just personal terms to sort

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 19:14:21
I would love if we signed Clint Dempsey, Royston Drenthe and Denis Stracqualuisi, if we did we could probably let Arteta go.
Our starting team could look like this:

GK-Tim Howard
RB-Tony Hibbert
CB-Sylvain Distin
CB-Phil Jagielka
LB-Leighton Baines
RM-Seamus Coleman
CM-Clint Dempsey
CM-Maroune Fellani
LM-Royston Drenthe
ST-Jermaine Beckford
ST-Denis Stracqualuisi

Believable1 Unbelievable4

Where's Nev, Osman, Arteta and Timmy?

Arsenal, withdraw, offer for Arteta, excellent news

Believable2 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 19:11:02
We understand that Everton have flat-out rejected a cash plus Nicklas Bendtner offer for Mikel Arteta, and also a follow up bid of £10m - which tallies with what Sky Sports are reporting.

David Moyes reportedly holds absolutely no interest in departing with the Spaniard, especially after the 29-year-old signed a long term contract last year.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 19:05:00
So we are selling 2 strikers! Bringing in 1 we are bleeding worse of when what we needed was strikers in the first place! Unless Moyes has something up his sleeve

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Please be it Sturridge or Bellamy !

Talksport are reporting the Arteta deal has "broken down on the Arsenal side" and they are now going for Benayoun (spelling?) instead.

Same on sky sports ...deal is OFF !

Just heard on talk sport arteta deal dead in the water

Believable0 Unbelievable1

31 Aug 2011 18:27:04
If we are selling 2 strikers, and if we needed 1 before yak becks leave dm must be bringing in someone else, I reckon bentner will be part of arteta deal.. hope not.... Sturridge hopefully

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Arsenal offered us cash + Bendtner, we rejected and asked for purely cash, so Bendtner is a no no... Can't see anything else happening.

GP

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes has already turned down an offer which involved bentner

im probably the only blue that doesnt seem to mind that mickey is apparently going. lets be honest he hasnt played anywhere near his best since his injury, he seems to slow up play for us by going side to side across the pitch. maybe its time for fresh new blood into the midfield. and im sure moyes has a player in mind to replace him be it someone on loan. trust moyes and COYB

Believable4 Unbelievable0

I wrote that comment above but i gave one hell of a yelp when i seen in on SSN that he is staying

Dont want ateta to go bit if wenger is desperate enough for him them we should take advantage!make sure we can get someone in before selling otherwise its a no go for me.

31 Aug 2011 18:01:21
That drenthe looks exceptional. Clearly a wasted talent at Madrid.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

31 Aug 2011 17:51:20
Ssn sources say arsenal have put a cash only bid in for arteta. We need to not be going backwards. Keep the best, no one can replace him with 5 hours left {Ed025's Note - well said mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable2

I woudnt take less than 20 million! Wenger has liads of money availiable to him why shouldnt we hod out for something big if he loses interest then we keep arteta simples!

Agree0 Disagree0

When was the last time Arteta had a good game for us....along time ago. However, the figure of £10M is about half his true value and we should not sell him for anything less. BanffBlue

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Aug 2011 17:25:19
We might need someone like Drenthe if we let Arteta go for £10m. Too little too late in my opinion.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Drenthe's a winger, he's not a playmaker like Arteta. He's not a replacement in my eyes...

Chief football writer Phil McNulty on Twitter: "Told Royston Drenthe to Everton is "a possibility" - you wait all summer then two come along at once."

Everton are on the verge of completing a sensational move for Real Madrid midfielder Royston Drenthe.

The 24-year-old has agreed to move to Goodison Park after the clubs agreed to forego any transfer fee.

The Holland international only has one-year remaining on his contract and Los Blancos would rather get him off the payroll now, according to AS.

Drenthe joined Madrid in 2007 from Feyenoord at a cost of £12.4million but he has not impressed manager Jose Mourinho.

Last season he was sent on-loan to Hercules but his spell there was marred by disciplinary problems as the team were relegated from La Liga.

He will fly to Merseyide tonight to agree personal terms and undergo a medical before tonight’s transfer deadline of 11pm.

The signing is great news for Everton boss David Moyes, who has no money to buy reinforcements and is fighting off bids to keep his stars.

The Dutchman will become Moyes’ second signing of the day after agreeing a loan move for striker Denis Stracqualursi from Tigre.

Everton have also agreed a transfer fee with Leicester City for striker Jermaine Beckford.

I have a Question for the Ed's and everyone else,
Will Denis Stracqualursi and Drenthe start in the team or even improve it?
I've read on this site that both are having medicals at Everton and was wondering if ye thought they would be good signings. {Ed025's Note - denis is well worth a try...i dont know enough about drenthe to comment

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Drenthe is a midfielder and is considered to be extremely fast, wiki says he is one on the fastest footballers! So thats good we are desperate for pace!

Having said earlier in the day that they wouldn't be selling him, Marseille have confirmed that Andre-Pierre Gignac is abroad sorting out a transfer. He's been linked with Fulham, Blackburn and Everton, however, he may not be Premier League-bound as Genoa and Olympiakos are also said to be in the mix.

Just looked at a video of this Denis Stracqualursi guy and he seem's like he could pretty good. He seem's to get into good positions around the box and is very good in the air which is to be expected if your 6 foot 3.
He also seem's pretty skilful and makes good chances for his team mates.
I think he would be a good signing and would fit in well in England. If we can pair him up with Beckford I think we could have a pretty good strike force, and if we don't pair him and Beckford he looks like he could play as a lone striker with Cahill, Arteta, Coleman etc. feeding him the ball.

cmon guys lets face it we all know the squad needs freshening up but until the club is sold then there are no funds so treading water with wat we have. unfortunately our tactics are limited by the squad players ability to play certain positions so our normal 4-5-1 has become predictable and teams can easily overcome our style. the reason players keep playing out of position is just simply not enough quality in depth to cover certain
position s especially wide left and right. its certainly depressing times and i believe if nothing is to happen today im sure players will go but news of incoming should have either been denied or a watch this space message given to all us suffering evertonians out of respect !

Leicester have improved there bid for beckford to over 4 million, wouldn't see the point in this being accepted.
If moyes accepts that bid and doesn't get a replacement i will be well pis*ed off !!
How useless are our dealings in the transfer window !!
We should of got rid of Yakubu and Yobo months ago and got a striker in on loan, there would off been no pressure on the board or the manager now and i think the fans would off accepted us having no money to buy if we would of done that !!!
Here's hoping something happens tonight, i love our club and will probably stay up tonight watching the transfer's on SSN even though i said i wouldn't !!
Its tough being a blue ey !!

Rumours from my friends say Moyes will make an £4m plus yakubu to fulham for the signature of Aaron hughes as moyes he wants players who are versatile, I think this would be a great signing.

I think andy Johnson would be a good addition as well and he would be affordable, what do u think ed???

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Where is 4m, it wont happen, we will spend all money available on attacking players

I really think a striker is essential but we dont have the funds etc etc. If they were even a little bit proactive or competent they would have offloaded Yobo and Yak by now. I would sell Rodwell to bring in a striker.

I’ve posted during the summer basically saying that the most obvious key to any sale of Everton is directly related to the price being asked by the current owners. This seems to be the one question no-one will answer but it seems clear to most ordinary people that if you are asking way in excess of a realistic price then you are very unlikely to sell.
Minor shareholders such as myself and other fans have no idea if this is the case but without being told the asking price we cannot form a proper opinion. I’m sure everyone is a willing seller of their house or car at two or three times the market value and I think the same view applies to most things including football clubs!
The latest information from the infamous Blue Union meeting with Bill Kenwright indicates that the only pre-condition to the meeting imposed by Mr. Kenwright was that they would not ask him the price being sought for any sale. This pre-condition was agreed to but surely the answer to that question is the most imperative to the future of Everton Football Club?
Furthermore, if the club is genuinely for sale then why are the current owners so unwilling to indicate an asking price?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Fans are mis trustful of bill. He is a good man and clearly an evertonian, but he can't move the club forward. We need investment and for bill to step aside {Ed025s Note - not investment..new owners!..

Agree0 Disagree0

We can't carry on as we are or we will end up going backwards. Bill needs to sell up for the good of the club {Ed025's Note - thewords you are looking for is....f**k off..

Just seen Rodwell with Under-21s yesterday, he looked okay, doing sprints etc . Anyone have any idea why he didn't play on Saturday — not even on bench? {Ed025's Note - because he is overrated?..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wouldn't even say he's 'Overrated', well not by us Everton fans haha! He's young, English and has shown glimpses, he'll be a good CB or CDM not a RW MOYES!

GP {Ed025's Note - i agree GP....we need to find his best position

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't give up on rodders this might be his season to come good

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodders just need to get a run of matches without injury and we will see the best of him. He is still young and a very good player {Ed025's Note - he is still young..

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodwell is not over rated

In a better team than Everton you will see his class, totally comfortable on the ball, Never hurried, can score goals, defend is strong and after all is still young

I agree he had small part to play last year but that's due to injury, u will all be complaining once Fellaini does one next season on a free and as Rodwell perfect replacement for him if we sell Jack and then Fell does one then we our knackered

I don't understand some fans, Young English, talented versatile, hardworking, willing to play out of position for our belove team and you wanna sell him?

This kid is a possible future England captain, the reason he had slight blip in form was due to Injury and DM playing him outta position

I wish we sell other before him, he is our future.

Agree0 Disagree0

I just wish he would do something a bit more than pass the ball sidefooted to another player 5-20 yards away.

I'd like him to work a bit on his skills and do something a bit more than 'basic' passing.

Let's have some running on the ball, some going past people, some shimmies, drag backs, faints, step overs, shot with the top of foot - anything to show he can do a bit more than simple passes.

Start to play with a bit of confidence lad.
Not in dangerous situations but maybe in their half where we can afford the odd mistake. You need something a bit more than the basics to open up the opposition at this level.

I advocated after the QPR game that Cahill causes us a problem in the way we line up. On that basis I had no trouble in him being benched against blackburn. Having said that, why play Victor up on his own? Surely you drop Heitinga as well and put Beckford in from the start? I accept the limitations of Beckford, but he possesses two things that in general our team doesn't: pace and an eye for goal. {Ed025's Note - but up there on his own...he looks lost..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I think beckford will have a good season. He is capable of getting 15 goals, but we need to play 4-4-2 especially at home. {Ed025's Note - i think so too

Agree0 Disagree0

If we were more attacking and adventurous in our play i believe we could push for top 6. We lose points by not pushing enough for the 3 points. We should really go at teams, especially at home {Ed025's Note - i agree

Agree0 Disagree0

The only way we will ever see the best of Beckford is if we play him with a strike partner....... The yak anyone ? {Ed025's Note - not for me mate...hopefully macheda..

Agree0 Disagree0

Macheda would be great, i think he would fit in well and boost our attacking options

Funny thing about Billy is that he did not play wide for his old club or for Russia. He plays behind the forwards a bit like Cahill, He has undoubted quality but we just have not seen it anywhere near enough. Is a holding midfield role a serious idea. {Ed025's Note - no....he may be able to cut it in russia...but not in the EPL..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Like I have said previously, all of his best performances and mamzing thunderbolts for everton have been from the middle of the park... {Ed025's Note - not enough to convince me mate...
