This isn't a rumour, but I was just wondering how Ross Barkley has been playing for Sheffield. I know he's scored a goal but I don't know how his performances have been as a whole.

Some of the tabloids are reporting that PSG are after cashley cole, the sex text pest, on a free next year. If that happens I just hope chelsea don't start throwing their roubles at Bainsey.

I hope Everton can win a trophy soon.

We won't. Moyes hasn't got what it takes. Best chance in years to win the league cup and he messed it up.

I'd just like to say the Blues were excellent yesterday (as per) we are beginning to she Sheamus' true potential and his partnership with Mirallas on the right is a force to be reckoned with. IMHO no-one had a bad game yesterday, I just pray that this form continues. Just like to point out 2 things: I think our defence looks slightly suspect without Gibbo in the team so it is vital we get him fit again, secondly to the poster who said that coleman "is the rubbishtest player in our team", go rattle your head for me will you. Played magnificently yesterday, he's only young and also I think people are judging him on his performances last season when he was bloody injured most of the time. So keep your trap shut if you've got nothing good to say.

I agree mate I thought he was great.....going forward but to be honest I think he is the week link at the back at times he just looks lost but on the whole he does need to improve his game don't think he's improved much since that game against spurs a few years ago but IMWT!! LIAM!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why tell people to keep their traps shut if they disagree with you ? Have you no respect. ? I take it your opinion is the be all and end all. People have opinions, that's what this site is all about. You need to give your head a wobble I'm afraid

my first post didn't get thru so I'll tone it down - watch coleman next game he plays and say how many of his touches work well and how many don't work well - then come back and talk

Agree0 Disagree0

To the second poster, I have no problem with people voicing their opinion and disagreeing with me, it's just the people who slag the players off even when they're playing well that annoys me. Why be so negative in times like these??

Yea he's not doing badly at the moment and his injuries have done him no favours as he yet to build up any consistency or momentum through no fault of his own. Howeever I do feel he makes too many costly, expensive errors (fa cup semi) and is a headless chicken on the majority of games. Ok he's young and maybe will iron out these mistakes and get some consistency in his game but until then I stick by what I said and he's not a very good player in my opinion. One of the worst right backs/right mid I've seen in 30yrs at Everton

Really pleased with the start so far. We are playing some scintillating footy ATM, not many teams are going to cope with our new brand of play this season.

It seems that with Mirallas in the side we have danger on both wings. And now that he is getting used to the pace of the Prem we are seeing how good a player he is.

Also, how good is Jelavic? I can't remember what it was like to have a front man you could really trust to get you goals when you really needed them. At least in the last 25 years.

Great time to be a Toffe

A few of things I've noticed - especially in the 3-1 wins against Aston Villa, Swansea City and Southampton. Firstly, when the game is fairly open and our players are not pressed and/or closed down, we are able to play lovely expansive football. If we're pressed - and without Gibson in the team - it's (of course!) much harder. Secondly, we've seemed less solid defensively and more prone to lapses and conceding goals and allowing goal-scoring opportunities. Without Gibson in centre midfield, we seem exposed especially when Coleman or Baines goe forward. Finally, apart from Mirallas and Coleman (maybe Baines) we do not have great pace in the team.
My conclusion: if (make that when) this side plays in Europe, the better teams we'll be facing - those with the the more skilful, craftier, brighter, stronger, more cynical players, who use gamesmanship to the utmost - just might give us a rude awakening. But I can't wait to watch us try again :-) IMWT

I reckon that we need at least 9 - perhaps only 8 - of our current first-choice players to be fit each match and playing well. Any fewer than that and I think we struggle. We may have cover in our squad for every position, but I'm yet to be convinced that the cover is really good enough - although the younger squad players may improve with experience and the academy prospects may mature from raw talents into good quality professionals. Once a blue, always a blue.

Great performance devastating attacking football killed them off this is what everyone wants to see. I am sorry for the fans that went to leeds but i dont think we should dwell on it, there was to many posatives in yesterdays game. I like whats developing donw the right with coleman and mirallas it means teams wont be able to put extra defenders on pienar and baines. Mirallas is class and will get better a steal at the price. I have got a bet with a man u supporter that Jellavic will score more than Van Percy in the league a big ask but if he does anything is possible

Just keep looking at the goals from yesterday. Just look at where Super kev initially picked the ball up, just outside our box! A superb run, what class, I have read with disbelief some reports that say it was not his day!. We often talk rightly so about our left flank but with Seamus and Super kev, we are starting to worry others there too. We are keeping sides guessing, we are almost unplayable, a re birth of the SOS?

solid performance yesterday from the lads. the first 20 mins worried me. felt like the leeds game all over again. but after that we turned on the style. just shows how important it is to try and keep our top players fit. I honestly believe our defence looks a bit shaky because of the loss of Gibson. he is a rock playing in front of the defence and im sure we will be back to our best when he comes back to help protect our backline. our next 2 games are against Wigan and QPR so while they will be tough games im confident we will continue our fine form.

With Pienaar, Mirallis, Osman and - to a slightly lesser degree Fellaini - we seem to have far greater movement, fluidity and flexibility - almost "total" football - in our play in the attacking areas. If Coleman can get close to providing on the right what Baines does on the left, then will have creative supply from both flanks. Add the return of Gibson to bring solidity to the centre midfield...and top it off with Jelavic staying fit, which gives us a quality finisher. Bloody hell...just make sure you work your socks off and earn the right to impose the quality on other sides and who knows?

Mikel does not look good in red. Sadly I don't think he would get a game once Gibbo is fit.

If by Mikel you mean Arteta then you would be wrong as we would certainly get in the side every week

Bobcat {Ed025's Note - i agree bobcat, he is a great player, and would get in any side..

I'd love Arteta in our midfield - although Osman (who, I guess, he'd most likely replace) has been pretty good IMHO most games so far this season. BTW - if David Moyes, who probably knows more about football and footballers than the posters on this site, has picked Osman for around 300 appearances, then I accept that he brings something to the team even if we, the supporters, seem to get vociferously frustrated because he doesn't win every tackle, or misplaces a pass, or doesn't score with every shot or header, during every game :-)

He is a top player, remember most of the Arsenal fans moaning when they first got him, they now state he is their best player, hope he gets the Spain call up he has craved for so long
