Fair play to Roberto and the board they really do seem to be keeping their cards to close to their chest.
let's hope they have got a decent plan in place and don't leave it too late.
(I know window hasn't opened yet) but u know what I mean.

{Ed025's Note - the world cup will be a big hindrance to us AW, most of the deals will be done late on mate..

The transfer window opened at midnight on the last day of the season. Some clubs have already put deals through.

Agree0 Disagree0

AW - or they have just not bid or identified their main targets yet.

Agree0 Disagree0

The summer transfer window opens officially on July 1st but clubs will be doing deals before I just imagine that's when it is officially processed

Give up

Agree0 Disagree0

He was good in that game, but I imagine that's just because he was the oldest there. Doubt he'd cut It in the prem

Agree0 Disagree0

Think I saw that he was in the provisional holland squad

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is good and young, someone (probably chelsea) will buy him for silly money (for his age), and his career wil from there onwards be dead, but he will be picking up 30k a week and out at vitesse on loan like all the other chelsea players. i.e. -Van ginkel, and I don;t even know what happened to Atsu, Piazon and Marin

Sorry I haven't been posting lately been on holiday with the missus ;) but I have 3 potential players we are interested in first play-maker Aleix Vidal from almeria who's tidy performances have caught the eye of Roberto and also a few other English clubs second is defensive midfielder Joshua Guilavogui who moved to atletico madrid for 8 million but has been out of favour and was on loan this season now atletico what to make it a permanent move away from there everton are interested finally Valon Behrami who has impressed during his spell and napoli and would be available for 5
mllion spurs also interested now for some red rubbish gossip they have signed ricky'dieheartliverpoolfan'lambert for 9 million yes that's right 9 million he's is 32 you know

Morning blues, I saw a post before stating that if we don't get Barry we will get Leroy fer and that led me to thinking who I would want(realistically) if we lose out on Barry and I really wasn't sure, it has to be someone who can play that really deep role and I couldn't think of anyone young who plays it at all. the likes of Barry, Gerrard and Pirlo play there but you have to have such discipline and know the game exceptionally well and I don't think a younger player could do this effectively. Baring this in mind does anyone know who we could bring in to play this role and why? (If we miss out on Barry)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Diame fer that lad from athletic talk of baines playing thier maybe oviedo left back martienz has talked of it

Agree0 Disagree0

I meant one from atletico guilovgo what ever his name is maybe even medel aka pitbull

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy from athelic look same Jimmy 's role. But I don't be worry because Gibbo can play deep role.

Agree0 Disagree0

If gibbo ever stays fit

We are still waiting for the new kit, I hope it is not black trim. I am hoping that Umbro will release the 70's retro shirts worn by Latchford et al with the diamonds on the sleeves!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cool kit that one brother. I'm with you on that

Lukaku off to Roma according to one of the rags. Romelu plus £18m for their centre-back Mehedi Benatia to Chelsea. If it's true then good luck to Romelu, it was good while it lasted.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He must obviously pissed Jose off, or the guy is just an ego maniac who refuses to be wrong. Such a waste if he ends up there.

Agree0 Disagree0

For me Lukaku is a young player still with bags if potential and plenty still to learn. But whether we have 20 or 40 million to spend the asking price for him is just unrealistic for us.

Whatever strikers we end up with will probably cost no more than 15 million. They may be older but will probably yield a similar goals to games ratio.

The main reason for this is that we will be outbid for anything that represents a better goals return than that. unless we breed a 20 goal a season striker, we will have to wait untill we qualify for CL before we can compete at that level in the transfer market.

Or we might get a bit lucky and Bobby unearths a gem in the lower price bracket in the summer window.

Here's hoping.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry I'm as a big a Evertonian as anyone but we need some realism. What Lukaku would be a waste at Roma but not at Everton. At best we could say we are maybe level with them in terms of size of club, fanbase, history, etc I would say in recent times they are far bigger than us.
We need to understand our standing in the game and therefore what are realistic targets and what aren't.
I don't know any Roma fans but to say he would be wasting his career there but not at us is just weird

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree with Svenny here. Anyone who thinks he's wasted at Roma is ignorant. They're a fine club with good traditions and standards and are a good side as well

So Diame wants a move to one of the premierships top 6, in with a shout then .

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Release fee of 3.5 million. Big, strong defensive midfielder, who can also get forward. As good as Barry was season gone, I think at 33yr old and 50 odd thousand a week, Diame would be more of a beneficial signing at 27yr old and probably less in wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Somehow I don't think he's referring to us as one of those top 6 clubs despite where we finished last season.
