RM is now stating players are playing for their futures in this relegation struggle, what about his future, he go'es on to say when things are going well you don't want to disrupt anything, which is pretty obvious, he then says when things are going against you, you need to find solutions. Well he must be still looking, 99% percent of the posts on here can tell him what he can do in more ways than one. What he seems to be saying is its all the players fault not his.

{Ed025's Note - the emperors new clothes comes to mind kirbo..

It's obvious why he's passing blame, he started the season trying to play the same as last year but we were leaking goals constantly he then to counter this reverts to a new tactic of pass the ball until your souls destroyed. He can't see an answer so passing blame makes sense, not in the whole of moyes reign did we have so little character as this team, they look clueless

Don't get me wrong I know we need strengthening but I am not too disappointed that we have made no signings in this window. I have said before that I did not want Martinez to be entrusted with more funds.
I am also not surprised that Kenwright has been in hiding and been indecisive. Ultimately he has to take responsibility for our proud, long standing, top flight status.
We have enough ability in this squad to finish top half if properly organised and motivated, despite the next four fixtures.
I will be extremely focused on tomorrow's team selection and match itself to see if Martinez has picked up any basic tactical acumen whilst away in the sunshine.
Basically if it is another square pegs job I will be bricking it.

Former Blackburn and Chelsea striker Chris Sutton on BBC Radio 5 live: "I think Everton are vulnerable at the back and have conceded far too many goals.

"I thought Roberto Martinez said he could address that easily, but it doesn't appear to have been as easy as he maybe initially felt. You do sometimes get a big team that falls into the relegation battle and it could be Everton this season.

"I think maybe at times they should be more direct. When I say direct I don't mean long ball, just being quicker in the transitions from defence and midfield into attack."

Roberto, please read the above, that is all we are asking.

{Ed025's Note - i think he has got it spot on DM..

Don't hold your breath Ted, in tonight's Echo while talking about not needing to sign a winger, El Bob said.

“I do think when Kevin Mirallas is fit and with Aiden McGeady - and the possibility of Ross Barkley and Steven Naismith to play in those positions - I think we are strong enough in those areas at the moment, ”

Looks like square peg syndrome to me mate!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i seen that quote wedge, and my stomach turned..

I can believe it Ed025, Had the same effect on me. I left out the bit about how "Christian Atsu will be an important player for us in the second-half of the season" and the rest of the drivel So that readers didn't lose their dinner's.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i know wedge...and i shouted at the screen..."well why have you not been using him then dick head!"...you couldn,t make it up mate sigh..

Ed025, I posted earlier this week. and pointed out a lot of the same stuff that a lot of the posters on here are talking about. Isaid I did nt want Bobby sacked, just him to be more flexible blah, blah, blah. After reading the above. unless we see a drastic change today. he has to go. if this quotes are for real ( I don't read any interviews anymore. I was bored of the same boring. team spirit and character trash talk. months ago. none of it ever made sense). you ve converted me to a Martinez out member

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i dont want to convert anyone jclaff, its just that i fear for our future mate...if bobby could turn it around no one would be happier than me to give him another chance, but we will have a clearer picture in a week or so i imagine..

If the worst actually does happen and our sixty seasons of top-tier football comes to an end, I wonder what incredidible excuses will come from RM and BK?
Oh - I guess it's best not to speculate about what-ifs and should-haves - and just don't worry about what might transpire. After all, a "proper" Evertonian has to show unquestioning loyalty and blind obedience and be content to make up the numbers in a compliant manner that never challenges the team's performances & results and meekly accepts that the club heirarchy must not be held to account by its fans.
I really should know my place like a good little chap and let my betters get on with it, as they know best. They've told me that, so it must be true - they're always right, aren't they?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - maybe not sid.. :)

If it did happen RM would be off to a bigger club just like he did to Wigan

Agree0 Disagree0

Only excuse could be "every other team that played us was phenomenal ", but unfortunately our ' phenomenal' team wasn't phenomenal enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

You forgot the opposition were "in the besht moment of form." When we played them Dentielad. and "if we had sschored firsht we would had gone on to win the game!"

Agree0 Disagree0

Wakka what bigger club could he jump ship too?

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a dead cert for the barca job.

Off to job centre with any luck by the time I get there they'll be a vacancy at goodison

30 Jan 2015 16:38:11
Your probably over qualified mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - love it WB..

Let's hope there won't be a need for someone to be the last to leave & switch off the lights at Goodison Park and Finch Farm if the club suffers the financial disaster of relegation and folds. Unthinkable? No. Unacceptable? Yes.

Going for 4-1 palace tomorrow, ameobi hattrick and speroni to get his only ever goal in football, reckon mcgeady will score for us, scott dann clearance to hit mcgeadys belly rip the net, onwards and upwards.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Come off it Swan mate, there is absolutely no chance of that happening. McGeady score?? That is too far fetched even for you.

The way our season is going Swan I wouldn't bet against that one!

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2015 16:42:10
It's almost inevitable Swan. If I was a betting man I could have won a fortune over the years just eating on the blatantly obvious.

I had a thought the other day (these are very rare moments for me beleive me). What if we never let go Of our youth and kept developing them to the potential they showed glimpses of.

Imagine it.
A team full of EFC youth academy projects.

Ruddy

Mustafi Stones, Duffy, Garbutt

Barkley, Gosling, Rodwell, McManaman (Only chose him as he seems to be the only winger we've produced to become slightly successful, and even then we let him go early)

Anichebe

Rooney
Oh what might have been.

Would have been a nice turn out tbh.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2015 13:14:00
hehe

Agree0 Disagree0

Only Rooney and maybe mustafi of the ones we let go would get in our starting 11. Rooney wanted to go so on the whole we have let go the right players.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's a poor first 11
Ruddy- average
Mustafi- decent
Stones- quality
Duffy- donkey
Garbut- raw
Barkley- let's wait and see
Gosling- piss poor
Roswell- rubbish
Macmanaman- average
Rooney- over rated but good
Anichebe- strong but rubbish

If this is the first 11 I don't want to know who's on the bench

They'd still give a roberto team a game tho

Agree0 Disagree0

Missed Eric Dier who's now at spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

Ruddy is better than Timmy No Dive.

Rodwell is better than Gareth ' Running through Treacle' Barry.

McManaman is better than McGreedy.

Anichebe is better than Kone.

And obviously Once a Blue is better than Donkey.

We are Everton

30 Jan 2015 16:45:12
Rooney overrated? Really? Seems to have won enough to suggest he is better than that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a grip mike
Ruddy is not better than Howard
Rodwell is as average as Barry and never fit
Mcmanaman has had one good game in his entire career
Anichebe never ever came close to cutting it
Rooney is better than lukaku but lukaku has the potential to be very good and is the best striker we've had since Rooney left

Agree0 Disagree0

Put is this way Woburn Rooney is the 4th highest earning footballer in the world do u think he's the 4th best player in the world? No neither do I therefor overated

Woke up brown shoes still not sacked off back to sleep. Someone please wake me when he's sacked

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i have a feeling you will have to sleep longer than rip van winkle to see that leachy..

30 Jan 2015 12:32:14
Watch Bobby go on a winning streak for the next 7 games, and everyone turn around and suck up to him again. Can't wait!!

*He said hopefully *

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i will gladly eat humble pie if we did QB..

If we won the next 7 I would be in no state to eat humble pie, either the heart attack would kill me or I would be in a padded room in a straight jacket nutting the wall repeating the word "How?"

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love us to go on that streak but and I do mean it, eventually Manuel would drop us in it again with his intransigence.

who thinks sky will have anyone at finch farm.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Filming the tumbleweed blowing down the road!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sky will be there but no supports are allowed in the camera shot after the famous dildo incident last year.

Peter Odemwinge likely to cruise past in his range rover he knows RM loves a thirtysomething?

RM QUOTE;

"We are always working and if we can do something to help the players we have got at the club then we will do something. But what's clear is that January is not very straightforward.
"You never get value for money [in January], first and foremost, and you will not get players you have been following for a long time. And if you want to rely on January to find solutions for your season then it is a big gamble. But we will carry on working."

Sorry a bigger gamble is to do nothing and get relegated! He mentions injuries to Pienaar and Ossie both in early thirties, players he should have been planning on replacing a year ago like others in the squad, if you have long term targets then the question is - How long are you waiting to do something about them?

It appears Stoke are willing to let Robert Huth go out on loan with Leicester City as interested. Although he is 30 yrs would he not be a useful squad player for Everton considering Distins age. He is obviously an experienced defender, something needed at this moment in time, desperately.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Jan 2015 09:55:39
He will want game time although I agree we need someone RM will insist he is happy with what he has in Jags, Stones, Distin & Alcaraz.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2015 09:57:24
Haha championship here we come!

Agree0 Disagree0

I would prefer him to Alcaraz any day and Distin now who is showing his age.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2015 13:15:44
Nah i'd rather have senderos than huth, let's see, so slow, cannot bring it out from the back, he's already not good enough if he can't do either

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2015 02:41:08
I have been going to goodison since 1963, saw us beat fulham to win the championship. Since then have seen good times and bad, but now it seems i'm not a good evertonion, my offence is to dare to criticise, the arogant, incompetent, pathetic little man who now hold the great office of manager of our club. This man must be removed, now, to give us any hope of avoiding the same fate as Wigan.
