Looking at some players in our squad especially the young lads and with the addition of fresh faces in the summer we could have great squad.

Young players 23 and under;
Fellaini, Coleman, Rodwell, Barkley, Duffy, Gueye, Anichebe, Green, Junior, Bidwell, Garbutt, Vellios, Baxter,

Experience;
Howard, Distin, Hibbert, Neville, Osman, Cahill

Other's;
Heitinga, Jagielka, Baines, Gibson, Pienaar, Jelavic

Signings;
(Pienaar), Dempsey? Pranjic? Jarvis? Rodellaga/Doyle?

Don't know if we will make 5 signings unless we sell but i see Moyes for sure signing Pienaar and Pranjic and maybe Dempsey.

With the experienced players and our key players with the emergence of the young lads we will have a squad MORE than capable of getting back to where we were 3 seasons ago and back into the top6/top5.

Really hope to see more of Barkley and Duffy next season and for all the flack Rodwell and Coleman seem to be getting on this site i think we should give them more time, Coleman was outstanding last season but has found it difficult this season maybe the rigors of the EPL caught up with him and he did pick up 2 bad injuries, people forget he came from the irish league which is near enough amature!

Rodwell i believe if he gets over his injury problems and starts to take games by the scruff of the neck and command the ball and look to dominate games instead of ball watching and playing it safe can become a very accomplished player, he is still only 20.

COYB

Please Bill, don't let us down like the last 2 seasons make funds available and we will finish top 6 and finally bring some silverware home!!
Coyb {Ed025's Note - i like this post mate...some great input..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Agree with opinion about the squad and also about Rodwell and Coleman

Thought everyone should know that man united are after Valencia full back Jordi alba. Hopefully this means bains is staying coyb

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Even if they werent after Alba, Baines will be going nowhere

if the rumours are true this is the line up id like to see next season

howrad
coleman jags heitinga baines
JARVIS rodwell felli cahill PIENARR
jevlavic

only two signings but doubt well get dempsey think his asking price will be two much and donovan i wouldnt expect a permanent deal or him to be allowed out on loan in summer as mls season is still on, also wouldnt expect us to have much more than 7-9 mill so wouldnt expect any big/small attacking signings to support jelli but i still think we have a team that can challenge for europe if we get off to a better start

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Coleman!? tut

when will people start to realise that coleman just isn't very good?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rodwell? I'd give him away just to cut the wage / treatment bill!

We should have snatched Uniteds hands of when they offered 25 a couple of seasons ago, then they'd have another donkey like they did with Hargreaves.

Gods Doctor {Ed024's Note - You should give rodwell some credit, injuries have blighted his progress

Does anyone know how much Zabaleta would cost? He may be out of our price range by I think he would solve our RB problems if BK can cough up the cash.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

30 Apr 2012 20:42:05
Everton could make a move for Burnleys Jay Rodriguez, he doesn't want to move out of the north west and would cost around 5m, decent player with plenty of potential but not sure Moyes would risk 5m on a championship player... {Ed003's Note - Good shout}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hes out of contract in the summer {Ed003's Note - He has 12 months left on his contract}

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2012 20:36:32
i dont think we'll get dempsey unless its less than 6 million possible less than 5, adam johnson on loan maybe

Good news in my opinion that Woy is looking likely to be England manager as it increases the chance of us getting Pienaar in the summer as Harry will presumably stay at Spurs and he is obviously out of favour with him but a new manager may have wanted to use Pienaar in his plans. {Ed025's Note - thats true..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Stoke 3-0 win Cahill, Cahill, Jelavic
Wolves 5-0 win Jelavic x4, osman
Newcastle 1-0 win Jelavic {Ed025's Note - i like the sound of that..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Jelavic to score 4? I'll give you £100 if that happens

Agree0 Disagree0

What 3 0 at stoke ye having a laugh mate,no one wins 3 0 there so i will go for a 2 1 win with fellaini getting both.We might win 3 0 at wolves because they are terrible and i will go for a 2 0 win against newcastle,i hope we stop newcastle getting in the champs league because all geordies love kopites ask any of them.Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Terry
nobody puts 4 past united at old trafford (city excluded)

Then there was EVERTON!!

Anything can happen

Gods doctor {Ed025's Note - at the moment, i would not rule out any score, against any team...were on fire!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd go for a 1-1 vs Stoke Jelavic. 2-0 vs Wolves Fellaini and Jelavic and 1-0 vs Newcastle Baines

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2012 15:57:16
I think the rumours of jelavic to real Madrid are BS, why would he leave a club he has just joined..........

TC {Ed025's Note - i agree tc...probably R/S infiltrators looking to rock the boat mate...but nothing is going to stop the good ship everton..

Believable1 Unbelievable1

He will be getting linked with loads of top teams now TC cos he is a scoring machine, a nice wage increase should sort that out for him and also he is on a 5 year contract so no probs there.

Let's just ride the jellytrain for as long as it lasts, if we get a great start next season and Europe then why would he want to go anywhere.

Degsy

Agree0 Disagree0

Afternoon Fellow Blues and Eds,

From a colleague at work who's partner works as an editor at a local media company, Pienaar looks likely to be a 12 month loan deal, which saves a fee and takes another 12 months off his contract and leaves money available to go elsewhere. If it's true, it's good business IMO, only downside is he can't play against spurs, which is no biggie.

Also Happy Birthday Degs

Big C

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon that this sort of deal for Piennaar would benefit Everton most. With money bein tight at the moment it would possibly free up funds for other players to come in and even though Piennaar is a class act (in my opinion) we have no long term commitment to a player that is over the age of 30.

Hi Ed's

Just an idea, could we post our Facebook/Twitter names on here so we could all add each other, then we will have an idea of who we are talking too. I know you don't like other sites mentioned etc but none of us are gonna leave this site ever.

Also any update on my other great idea of getting people to register and log in, this will give everybody a name with a teams initials after it and make it more personal and also we can see who the nuggets are, and the Koppites, or is that mostly one and the same, except you Russ lol

Degsy {Ed025's Note - the powers that be, said that a lot of information that we get comes from people within the clubs, and may jeopardise their jobs, if it was deemed that they were sharing confidential information.....sorry mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Understandable mate, how about we simply register with usernames and teams, no personal data.

Degsy {Ed025's Note - ill put it too them degsy..

Just wondered how the "meaningful discussions " were going with regard to takeover - how utterly patronising was that comment given the circumstances and unrest at that time, now all's going well -silence !

Believable2 Unbelievable0

That's the way it goes mate, if we are playing well with a good team we are happy, if we are not playing well and need a new player then we are unhappy.

I think investment is getting closer and Bill may stretch the purse strings a bit this year and for gods sake lets get the players in at the start of the transfer window and not two weeks after the league has started.

Degsy {Ed025's Note - i feel the same mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2012 14:10:11
It's no coincidence that we started the season excellently when we had all our transfer business done before pre season basically and had no real issues at the club regarding players leaving or such like, in 2006/2007. We need to do the same this summer.

Ste EFC {Ed025's Note - your right ste..

30 Apr 2012 13:28:03
So the FA are only approaching Woy Hodgson, not entirely excited by that as an England fan! But that does mean Spuds won't be in for Moyes which is good news for us!

Now Bill it's time for you to put up or sell on in the best interests of all at Everton. We can be in a driving seat for CL this time next year like the Toon if things get moving this summer!

What a fantastic run were having! 4 goals in the last 3 prem games and all against very good teams, Sunderland and fulham were only a couple of points behind us, and utd needed the win to all but guarantee the title! 3 games left and even though there's no hope of Europe I would like us to look at these games as must wins! Finish the season on a high and as a bonus finish above the red s**te! All that money they spent and they are chasing us for 7th spot! It's funny! Anyway stoke next and as we know they are a very phyiscal side so my team would be.

Howard
Hibbo heitenga jags distin/baines

Right guys and girls it's easy for next season, as follows:

BK gonna let us have 20 million.

Not selling anyone at all, not even Felli for 30 millin, get real guys he is awesome and gettin better, Barkley to Chelsea - Do one you rich Southern nobs we are not gettin rid of our prize assett for any price

Buying Peanuts, Dempsey, decent RB and if the gods are lookin down on us Landon the legend.

Stracq bye bye mate too expensive if the quote of 5 million is correct, thanks for everything

Drenthe - Not for us kidder, loved the good bits but the bad bits are simply not the Blue way

Hodgson for England - Don't care who manages England as we would be crap with Mourinho or Guardiola, just keep Hawwy away cos I don't want Moyesee to go to Spurs

This is how easy it really is

Simples top four easy

Degsybluenose {Ed025's Note - love it degsy!....dont know about the £20m though mate..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

So this rumor is still continuing about the 20 million i heard it a month back hopefully its true if not surly chelski want rodwell for 20?

toffee haz

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha, Kenwright is gonna give us 20mil. Clearly dreaming LOL.

Fact is, we need new faces, we saw what new faces gave to the squad in January, and i think that is the missing link, as generally our summers are absolutely shocking.

If Kenwright can't find cash (which he won't) we need to sell, be it Rodwell or Jagielka, we need to buy PIenaar no brainer, and then look at the likes of Dempsey, Holtby and I wonder how much Clyne from Palace would be going for, and possibly some freebies.

All I know, is that we need new signings in the summer, and we need to get the deals done BEFORE the season starts. I really do think that is the reason behind our sloppy starts. {Ed025's Note - i think your right mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

To Bill

If Stoke get to spend 20 million with their crowds and fan base then I am sure you can give us the same

Degsy {Ed025's Note - dont hold your breath degsy!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Had a hard weekend on the lash Ed, big 40, I think that's why I am dreaming with the 20 million segment of my post, still hung over

Degsy {Ed025's Note - lets hope bill is in the same state degsy!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh yeh Toffee - never in a million years will we get 20 million for Rodders

Degsy {Ed025's Note - your right mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Pienaar has told Moyes he wants to stay. I just hope he doesn't get held to ransom by Spurs because they know how much we want him. Bill needs to get the money for this one or the mood in the dressing room will change yet again and will contribute to another bad start. Same thing happened when Moyes delayed signing his contract and another was with the sale of Lescott if I remember rightly. We could do without these distractions...
We need to get the politics out of the way early and concentrate on the pre-season as quickly as possible.

Wizard of Osman {Ed025's Note - as ever, wise words wiz...when the dressing room is happy, it really shows on the pitch..

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance of Bill giving Moyes 20 million mate! Unless we sold someone it's just the harsh reality of being a Everton fan at the moment!
I think IF funds are available it will be through selling somebody!
Nice dreaming though degsy!
PaulEFC {Ed025's Note - a cocktail of booze and hope do not mix paul!.. we need to get rid of a few fringe players to fund any buys..

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes proved in January he can work wonders with 6 million, whatever he gets he will spend it wisely and improve our squad for next season

Bez the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Apr 2012 07:05:51
i don't think any of the current team will be looking to leave - they know we're nearly there - just a couple more decent signings and we could be serious contenders for champs league spots - please bill buy donovan - seal down pienaar and get the second link forward on board (dempsey?) - then watch us go - I'd fancy us against anyone with that team! {Ed025's Note - that would work for me mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

If we start next season in our current form we will definitely clinch a european spot, the team can't stop scoring at the moment

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - our starts have got to be looked at, we are playing catch up all the time bez..

Hi there iam a rangers fan just posting to say so glad jelavic is banging in the goals for yas. Up here everyone was saying how he wouldnt make it in the premiership! But what a great buy he turned out to be for you! Hope his form continues! Wish he was still with us mind you!

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Cheers mate, he has been awesome and we have been shocked by how immense the guy is. I hope rangers sort out their troubles and go back to former glories.

Jelavic is the signing of the season, he has settled in straight away and has adjusted perfectly to the premier league, the guy is on fire.
