Undoubtedly the best chance we've had in recent years to win at Anfield. Can Moyes remove the tag of being a 'bottler' at the big away games? i'm not so sure, don't really think throwing Barkley into the picture again on such a big occasion. Looked a bit frightened at Spurs, although he was better against Arsenal.

We have the team for it, everyone who has followed us this season knows it, we just seem to lose any tempo and flowing football at these sort of grounds.

I suspect Mirallas and Fellaini will have to be on their game, I have personally never felt more optimistic about a derby, hopefully i'm right.

Lets have these blues

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Mirallas was so good at Goodison in this fixture, let's hope he can play as well for 90 mins without *him* to injure him off the ball

Agree0 Disagree0

Barkley looked scared when he came on against fulham, the derby isn't for him tbh

Its difficult for Moyes, I don't want Osman near the team because he has been poor recently, but on the other hand Barkley did look scared vs Fulham and the pressure would likely get to him, imo we should drop Fellaini back in to midfield with Gibson and play either Pienaar behind Vic with Oviedo on the left, or play Jelavic up with Vic OR and this may p*ss some people off play Naismith up with Vic or Jela because we havn't seen Naismith play in his proper position and when he did vs AEK Athens (The Tony Hibbert riots of 2012) where he scored a hattrick, I don't know i'm sure DM will figure it out.

Just been looking at some videos of Dries Mertens and he looks a class act. Very pacey and skilful, I really think we should go in for him this Summer. His stats from this season are incredible considering he's a winger:

Games - 44
Goals - 19
Assists - 24

I saw him live in the Wales/Belgium WCQ and he was man of the match by quite a distance. Admittedly, it's not hard to look good against Wales but with the other top players on show, he was comfortably the stand-out performer. Would be a great signing if we could get him, Mirallas on one side and Mertens on the other would cause all sorts of problems.

Agree0 Disagree0

Always said Mertens was the man to go and buy. I know highlight reels don't show the full details, but from the videos I have seen, he looks even better than the ones I saw on Mirallas, exciting times if we had them both in the side

Agree0 Disagree0

Videos on youtube don't reflect how a player is, I could look good on youtube and I can't hit an open goal from 12 yards

If we play how we played against arsenal (aggressive and didn't give them any ball time) against the r/s then i'm sure it will be finally time to beat them at their ground and have west brom snipping at their heels

I don't want Fellaini to go but if he really wants to go I'd take 20m plus nathaniel chalobah who is on loan at Watford. Scored a great goal vs Leicester and it will see how much Chelsea trust in their youth.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So 1 goal makes him good? give it a rest

Agree0 Disagree0

Chalobah is not good because of one good goal. He is easily the stand out U21 performer in the championship this year, when you consider Barkley played a fair few games in that division this lad looks a league ahead of him in terms of controlling a midfield. Chelsea would not let him go though, future England captain for sure. Would welcome him to Goodison but so would every premiership team including the manchester clubs

Kenwright is a dog, anyone who thinks he puts everton interests before his own vanity his a fool, anyone who tells me earl has done anything but cement kenwright position please tell me what. really annoys me how his gross and inept running of this club is overlooked. {Ed025's Note - maybe you want people like venkys in charge?...it could be worse though, we could all make uninformed judgements like you..

Agree0 Disagree0

The website is actually called www.thedaisycutter. co. uk

Agree0 Disagree0

Venkys Portsmouth the next Leeds, sick of people using these clubs as example to everton. facts r facts kenwright has lied put us in more debt, and is totally inept has a commercial model we are miles behind clubs we should be on a level with. progress has not bein made off the field in any context. january this season sums kenwright up. he's a vain useless blaggard. any half decent businessman who we've had on the board can't work with him, birch gregg Wyness. granchester hates him ask why. tell me what was the debt when Peter Johnson left and what is it now, do me a favour the venkys aren't we lucky

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed. what was the debt under Johnson? And also what were the assets. I would guess the assets we have now in a super manager and a super team/squad compared with then are far superior. We also have a great training facility. I believe that Blue Bill does have the club at his heart. Have you ever met him and spoke to him? He is as Blue as you or me. Cut him. he bleeds blue blood. Hey, we are 6th in the league and have had a great season. Without spending billions like some clubs. All we need is that bit of investment. a new owner yes. but the right one!
Degsypulford {Ed025's Note - well said degsyp..

Agree0 Disagree0

How has kenwright put us in more debt? when the debt is coming down year after year

Agree0 Disagree0

Look at what we have spent this season, look at what qpr spent and they are now in the championship wereas we are in 6th, 7 points from out last 3 games gets us to our highest points finish in the prem

Agree0 Disagree0

The debt now is more under kenwright finch farm is not owned by us. give some facts on how as a club we've moved on under kenwright, we have been lucky that we have had moyes,. the facts are its moyes without backing has us performing miracles on the field. give some facts that are backed with information that under kenwright we've achieved any of his promises. were a club that should be on a level with the likes of arsenal spurs lpool both on the pitch, and it's the boards job to compete of it, are history, traditions. and fan base deserve that. all u get about kenwright is his blood bleeds blue and nostalgic crap well I hope he achieves the one last thing that he's promised investment.

Agree0 Disagree0

How has Kenwright put us in more debt? The level of ignorance in that is utterly astounding. Before he arrived we were in the black. Now he's sold off all our assets, which we are renting back, borrowed money to pay back at extortionate interest rates and are £40+m in the red. And that's just the tip of the iceberg, what is know publicly. Lord knows the true extent of the financial mismanagement.

I was reading Everton fans thoughts on the up coming derby the other day. The one that caught my eye was intresting I have to say. It said when we go over there on sunday were up against the referee aswell and having to watch him been influenced by the crowd. That I already knew but it then said Gerrard and Jamie C will be in the refs face every time he gives us a free kick like they did against Chelsea and putting him under pressure which personally I don't like. But it said for this game our players have got to do the same get in his face aswell instead of just trotting away like good little boys do the same and the ref will know he will get a barrage from our lads aswell and it might just even it up a little bit I have to say I agree with this as I am not really worried about Liverpool but more worried how they seem to always influence the referee one way or another let's play them at there own game COYB Stef the blue

Believable0 Unbelievable0

To true, on all accounts

But we have got to stand up and think he we can win thses games not just turn up and be fodder, 3 goals by SG stil hurts me 4 by big nose even more the fact we turn up like meek fkn lambs might have a thing to do with it.
P Nev cut in half by dick kite, nev got up and was a pro, SG in same match telling the ref to send hibbo off, speaks volumes of how these hate us and want to get 1 over on us at all cost, and were obsessed by them.

Bring out the dogs of war, JR the lads were that fired up they were tackling paper blowing on to the pitch.

Please let's go into work happy on Tue
