My semi final memories:
Highbury 84 - Inchy's goal vs Southampton.
Villa Park 85 - A rainbow comes out and Sheedy does the biz.
Villa Park 89- Got the news outside after the game. very few words spoken in the car on the way back.
Be watching this one on the telly like the last two we've been in. Can't rely on a stream for this one coz, although I hate derbies, I've got that feeling again. {Ed025's Note - my memories go back to 77...when clive thomas disallowed bryan hamiltons goal!....sick as a sea going parrot.

I've heard that King Kenny is facing a bit of a dilema on April 14th, he doesn't know whether to play Carrol at Wembley or run him in the National......I hope he plays him at Wembley. (Wavertree Blue) {Ed024's Note -Nice one mate, its always good to have a laugh at the reds

Believable3 Unbelievable0

That was great, i hope he plays him at wembley as well

Does anyone think we will sign drenthe at end of season {Ed025's Note - if i had to put money on it..i would say no..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Why would you say no ed? {Ed024's Note - Maybe his unpredictable and erractic behaviour might put of moyes, he is a very good player but with gueye, coleman, pineaar and ossie being able to play out wide, he might decide to not sign him. Its up to drenthe to having a storming end to the season and make up moyes mind

Agree0 Disagree0

Who do you support ed024? {Ed024's Note - The best team in the world.....everton

hope we ditch the white shorts and have an all blue kit would look way better {Ed025's Note - i like the white shorts..

Believable1 Unbelievable2

The white shorts remind me of my first ever football hero, Alan Ball, they have to stay. (Wavertree Blue)

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Ed! And where do you stand on the small matter of the sock issue? Blue or white? I'm for white BlueTone {Ed025's Note - white for me as well tone....it evokes memories of sheedy, reid, bracewell and steven..

I maybe wouldn't go that far ed... {Ed025's Note - i just like the idea of blue on top.....and red on the bottom!

I know it's not a rumour but just like to give Darron Gibson some praise. Came under a lot of stick before he'd even played a game when we signed him but he has started off well and we are still undefeated when he has started. Another bargain moyes signing COYB {Ed025's Note - not only is gibbo a good player in his own right...he competes felli, and makes him a lot more creative..

We have four good centre backs in my opinion but I would like to see Distin and Heitinga at the back vs West Brom {Ed025's Note - for me...they are our best 2..i think jags will have a big job on his hands to force his way back in!..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I agree ed, johnny especially has been immense for us, you confident for sat ed?

Bez the Blue {Ed025's Note - i am bez..they should be no match for us mate if we play half as well as we did on tuesday, moyes may well rest a couple of players, but the spirit in the team will see us prevail..

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree at the moment Heitinga and Distin are playing out of there skin! Contender's for player of the season along with Fellaini and Baines but Jagielka on his day is a top class centre back. It's only good for the squad that we have these 3 fighting for 2 positions {Ed025's Note - it is mate...there is no doubt jags is a top player!...but on current form johnny and sylvain deserve to be in..

FELLI is on 9 bookings after tonight could do with him getting booked saturday ,think its a 2 game ban now could be wrong like ,get him booked sat put his feet up for the 2 easter games ,fresh as a daisy for wembley ,bobs your sister {Ed025's Note - i still want him playing...he just needs to pull his neck in a bit!...for me, continuity is very important, his partnership with gibbo is superb, and the more he gets used to that, and the runs of the jellyfish the better..

Can anyone tell me why Liverpool still haven't started to build on Stanly Park. I remember reading that they had to Start by September last year or give it up. Maybe Im wrong I don't know. What I do know is that in all planning applications you have 3 years to make a start or you have to re-apply.
I guess its maybe because we have a red bias in the town hall, or should I say City Hall.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why dont you go on the liverpool forum and ask them lot,we are evertonians and only care about everton and not them scum bags. Terry blue {Ed025's Note - thats my feeling as well terry...who cares!!..

Agree0 Disagree0

025 Ed..You said that a few weeks ago you muppet and guess what 3-0 3-0 GERRARD 3 {Ed025's Note - that was against our reserves mate...at wembley you will face the might of the best team in the city!...you were once regarded as a big club, but now your demise is complete, and take it from me..it will be an ass kicking of epic proportions, if you cant beat wigan, or QPR, how the hell do you expect to beat us!..remember to take a large hanky with you if you go...

Agree0 Disagree0

So how do you explain the 2-0 loss at your ground? Typical bitters always an excuse. That will be your season over on the 14th and Liverpool will be there to rub it in your faces ha ha. {Ed025's Note - bring it on mate!..you lot are terrified!,,and you know it, thats why you are trolling our site looking for a response, well now you know my response...BRING IT ON!..

That agree was for Ed's comment btw lads, not that scummy redsh*te who's more interested in our club than he is his own.

Agree0 Disagree0

2v1 to the Bluse u wait and see Jelavic winning goal!! {Ed025's Note - the only way i can see them scoring...is if that cheating, horse faced, reprobate suarez dives in the box and they get a pen!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Did this braindead muppet just ask what our excuse was for the 2-0!? Clearly doesn't even watch the match never mind go! Rodwell getting sent off for breathing too heavily on that ugly, racist, diving, buck-teethed, horrible cannibal!

Ed, I am here to tackle your shocking comments about Jack Rodwell over the last few weeks (and his lack of talent: what a load of bull s**t )and id say we have a case to find a new Everton Ed. Because if I have to read any more Ed abuse aimed at our promising 21 year old midfielder, I wont come on here anymore. Disgrace. The guy has an England cap and is going through a period of recurring injury. He has always conducted himself well and put in some excellent performances for us over last 3 years. He cant help it that he was thrusted in at an early age. Im sorry his progression isnt quite fitting enough for you. I wont sit here and read the guy who actually runs the site say he has no vision or even ability. If thats what you think your watching a different game and you know nothing about football. Central midfielders take longer to peak than forwards. And this lad has shown serious signs. I believe you are a man of more advanced years than me, and I can say that every time I see your little Rodwell 'digs', it makes me cringe. In fact, it just makes you look like you know absolutely nothing about the club you claim to support... Youl say its just your opinion. Well I say your opinion is a load of s**t. Even if its what you think, get behind him. Give him confidence. See what happens. At Everton we don't knock our own. Go and support the RS if you wanna do that publicly. {Ed001's Note - I will help you out, you clearly have no clue of how to understand other's opinions, nor how to discuss it in a reasonable manner. So go elsewhere and don't waste our time again, thank you.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Well said ed, I am on here everyday and can't remember our Ed continually slating Rodders for his apparent lack of talent, message to the poster you have a serious lack of manners and there is no such word as youl so goodbye and good riddance, oh yeh dont know what higher power you are to tell someone to go and support another team

Agree0 Disagree0

I tend to agree with the lad about Rodwell, not going to totally abuse Ed though because everyone is entitled to their opinion.

As for Rodwell, I do think he can still cut it, at the beginning of the season, he was in national team form, and he rightfully got picked. I still think his best position is as centre back, all his attributes scream centre back, he was raised a centre back.

If we aren't going to play him in his natural position, then we might as well sell him in the summer and add to the depth of the squad. {Ed001's Note - I think he has the potential to be a top class centre back too, me and Ed025 often discuss it, especially with one of the United eds, who always wants to know how he is getting on. But we can agree to disagree on the lad without getting abusive!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Eds, I don't always agree with what you post. But expressing it in the form of BANTER is what we do on this sight, which is why I come on here, a bit of fun.

This poster needs to relax and dream of how it will feel when we win our next game. If we get silver in the cabinet or who we might sign in the summer... You know .... Happy thoughts. COYB

Agree0 Disagree0

A bit strong against the ed that original post! I read this forum daily and I totally disagree that there are constant digs aimed at Rodwell.

In my opinion Rodwell is a clearly talented player, i think his progression has been noticeably hampered by injuries and Moyes playing him in different midfield positions. However when he is in his 'best' position (Up for debate) central midfield, he plays 90% of his passes backwards/sideways. His composure in front of goal is non existent and he never looks like he is busting a gut to get around the pitch. He is athletic looking and should be trying to become a top class box to box midfielder. Has he got the drive and belief to do this? I am not so sure, only time will tell.

To the original poster, Michael Ricketts had an England cap aswell....

Agree0 Disagree0

Flippin' heck! If that guy was that mad with Ed025 over his opinion of Rodwell, I'm glad he hasn't read any of mine! He did make one good point - that being that we Evertonians don't slag off our own. However, there's a difference between "slagging off" & having an opinion. My personal opinion is that I don't rate young Jack very highly. For me, he doesn't have what I call "the Everton spirit". He looks a bit disinterested. If you look at the likes of Ossie, Tim C, Tim H, Bainsey etc. they look like they'd run through a wall for Everton - Rodwell looks like he'd be looking for the door. But, that's just my opinion & doesn't stop me loving this great club which is a massive part of my life & that I am SO proud to be a supporter of.
Toffee Tezza
IMIT {Ed024's Note - Well said Tezza

Agree0 Disagree0

To the original poster... Relax mate. If you come on this site a lot you'll know how much time and effort Ed 25 puts in... as do all the other Eds. I think this makes him entitled to give his opinion, don't you? Even if you do think it's 's**t'. Good luck finding a site where opinions are not allowed.....

Wizard of Osman {Ed024's Note - Banter and different opinions is what football is all about

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed this lad is a muppet so dont listen to him,in life everyone as an opinion so this muppet should deal with it. What would he do if moyes said rodwell had 2 or 3 bad games in a row would the tit support another team.We love your site ed and you do a good job mate. Terry blue {Ed024's Note - Ta Terry, everyone is entitled to an opinion, but there is a way of expressing it

Agree0 Disagree0

That original post is a bit daft - no need to be so abusive, so calm down a bit - and I also agree with the poster who said rodders just passes it backwards and sideways - always simple 'get-rid' passes - he doesn't seem to pass it forwards that often (or look like he's busting a gut) - and as for a 'defence splitting' creative/intelligent pass - errm - not seen many of those to be honest - does he dribble past people at all? - long shots specialist? What's his 'thing'? What's he really good at?

I think every player should be looking to do something positive with the ball whenever they get the chance - we've got one or two who just seem to want to 'get rid' of it first and foremost.
I don't want to knock rodders but I think he's playing too much within himself - too cautious - needs to be a bit more creative and positive - he's a goodish player though - with promise - just needs a confidence boost - get rid of his injury situation - and to play with a bit more swagger - but is he going to get past Felli and Gibson for a first team slot if they're both available?

God luck to him though on his road to recover - I hope he does well.

Clozem

Agree0 Disagree0

The orginal poster has a point about Rodwell not ED mind, when he had a long run in 1st team earlier in season he was starting 2 gel with Fellaini then the England curse struck. Before this season he had the odd game and Sub appearance so was inconsistent. As I've posted before the same people wanted Moyes out 2 months ago now its OH DAVEY MOYES etc PADDOCKBLUE {Ed025's Note - i dont know if his comments were aimed at me paddock....as there are lots of eds who can edit the site...my view is that his progression has stall somewhat, i have never said he was a bad player!, but when people post that he is in the £20m bracket, i would say if we could get that sort of dosh for him....i would sell...on the proviso that the money would be used to strengthen the squad..

Agree0 Disagree0

Iv'e never heard ed0025 slate Rodwell's ability, iv'e read his comments saying that Rodwell has potential but he is fulfilling it at Everton and for a player who has been playing in the premier league for over 3 years regarding his age should of improved by now, in my opinion he has gone backwards

Looks like it is Nike who are making our shirts next season. What's your thoughts blues?

My thought is that as long as the investment is correct then I will be happy, especially if the team sees some cash for strengthening. COYB

Confirmed on the official Everton Website, 3 year kit deal with Nike!
Bad news is Kitbag is still involved so you'll only be able to buy them at the club shops or online.
Hope they create a great kit for us and not a generic one because sometimes alot of the Nike kits are the same but just different colours for different clubs.
Still if anyone gets any leaked pics please post!
Mickey Blue Eyes

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Very happy, Nike is a terrific brand, and hopefully give us some nice kits and not so outlandish as Le Coq, wasn't a real big fan, although that cream 3rd kit they made last season was absolutely brilliant, but the away shirts were laughable.

Cant wait to get my hands on one, and some training gear.

Agree0 Disagree0

In reply to mickey blue eyes nike have said they are honoured to be makers of efc kit with a club rich in history and tradition and kitbag have also commented that they will retail in all major sports outlets globally

Agree0 Disagree0

The only Nike kits I have ever liked are the ones they designed for the African teams in the last World Cup - hope ours are nothing like the dross Man.U wear.

So far with the percentage of votes, currently the team of the year is;
Hart

Walker Kompany Vermerlon Baines

Silva Parker ToureYaya Bale

Van Persie Ba

Nice to see Baines getting the recognition he deserves, he has been the best left back for 18 months- 2 years now but still the football world has gave Cole the vote, hopefully Baines will get some deserved praise

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I actually think he has been pretty average this season, last season he was in unbelievable form especially in the first half of the season, think he suffered with Pienaar's departure and now hopefully with him back, we can see the rampant Baines back again.

That saying, he still has been good for us, and is getting the recognition he deserves,
