Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

I'm a big fan of making up random (but technically correct) stats. In regards to our business this window, if/ when Sigurdsson signs for £50mill, of the first team signings we have spent roughly £21mill per player in transfer fees. Given the current market, if you ask me that seems like good business.
Can go further and say that of those signings if each player finishes their career at the age of 33 (guessed that's a fair age for players to hang up the boots) that's an average of 8 years left per player in their careers.
Given the current market and quality of each individual player we have signed I'd say £21mill for 8 years/ per player is pretty damn good!

Hi ed you said we we're interested in grokski at hull which indicates we want a winger. Koeman said he wants CB, CF and GS presumably so is he also after winger? . I think this is more important than GS as Lennon, mirallas aren't good enough, DCL is awful right mid, we have lost Geri and bolasie is out until xmas . i think we lack pace what's your thoughts?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - koeman is looking to strengthen all of the squad jipster so i expect players that are better than what we have are being targeted, this will mean a few leaving of course but thats fine by me mate..

29 Jul 2017 22:04:48
Defo a lot of dross to move on still.

Out of the top 7 premiership teams Sigurdson scored against all except Tottenham last season.

Let's get this lad in.

Hi ed. any news on who the back up options are for sigurdson and giroud assuming we don't land them? Also is lemos our no1 target to replace funes.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it looks like seri could be an option jipster, lemos is wanted by both us and arsenal but im sure others are looking at him as well mate..

29 Jul 2017 15:50:06
Cheers ed if GS is on Merseyside hopefully this saga will draw to a close. Doing neither club or player any favours this.

{Ed025's Note - i just hope we close the deal soon mate, as you say this will he wont he lark is doing no one any favours..

29 Jul 2017 17:31:08
I like the look of Lemos but I am sure I read he is more right sided than left.

Hey fellow Evertonians

I'm revelling in the fact that our club is now in a financial position to compete and keep up with the top 6. For so many years we've been scraping around for deals/ loans and done very well in the main with the finances we had at our disposal. Let's enjoy this rich vein of financial backing and see what it brings. It's one thing to buy good players but it's another to gel and make them a team that can break the top 6 monopoly.
Is there anymore news on Kruse or Seri?

{Ed025's Note - not at the moment ricky..

I wanted Sig already, but now he is demanding talks with us, because he feels our offer was fair, speaks volumes of the man.

He has been a great servant to Swansea, he stayed and kept them in the Prem when he could have left them in the shit.

He now wants to take the next step and play under Koeman with better players around him, and Swansea and honouring their side of the bargain.

Their valuation of the player has increased as the weeks have gone by.

Hes now driving the deal and wants to play for this club. As if his performance on the pitch wasnt enough for me to want him, his actions in the past day or so, certainly are.

COYB.

Even though I was on the side of not wanting to give £50m JMW1878 that's a top post. Always said I would support him if he came no matter what the price was. Your post compliments his attitude which is most defiantly impressive.

Let's hope we get him and put the bed the debates about him. Support him and all our new signings to help the club challenge at the top or maybe even get our hands on a trophy.

Just a few of my thoughts and predictions about our upcoming season.
1) I have every confidence in Koeman. He has to succeed given the level of expenditure on players otherwise Moshiri will get rid of him. If he is successful Koeman will stay beyond his three year contract.
2) Yes the game on Thursday was not great but the it is early in the pre-season and new players take time to gel. Next Thursdays game will be better.
3) I did not want Rooney back and still not sure if it was a good thing but now he is a blue he needs our support.
4) We have to be realistic about this year. Top six would be a great accomplishment providing that keeps us in Europe. Add a cup win and I for one would be over the moon.
5) We need a big #9, another center-half and a central play-maker like Arteta IMHO.
6) This will be a good year for some of the kids. They may not be used a the beginning of the season but they will break into the side as the season progresses.
7) It is a great time to be an Evertonian. It is now 71 years since I went to my first game. I have been through great times and bloody bad times but this ranks as one of the more exciting times with a great management/ ownership team, a vastly improved team squad and the prospect of a great new stadium. Enjoy it fellow Blues and get behind the team, I want to see the Old Lady rocking like it used to in my youth.

Lot of outlay but so far there has been as much income as well in the way of fees, it's a good restructure of the playing personnel for me, a blend of youth and experience, this is going to be the real transition season as Koeman really stamps his authority over the side.
I am very positive for the season ahead.

Agreed over Thursday's match. It wasn't great, but it stood out a mile away that the players were still getting to know one another and an obvious change in tactics / system that the players who already know each other, will have to get used to.

I'm not a coach or manager but history shows you that clubs seem to struggle when in the Europa league and the Thursday to Sunday fixture positioning is what seems to get a lot of the blame.
With that in mind I think it is odd we are not playing a friendly tomorrow to get us in to that routine assuming we go through on Thursday.

BRAMLEY MOOR
Last year the tabacco warehouse which will make up part of the north Liverpool development of Peel Holdings was a hive of activity with a new roof being added in steel which was to have penthouses above it .
It would appear that nothing is now happening .
One crane is no longer in action and another has been only a quarter built and no more added at all this year .
I believe the owner is a Dublin guy
Having recently driven past the whole area, other than some activity re the new dual carriageway the feeling is that of a ghost town .
I expected it to be buzzing can anyone enlighten me as to what is occurring .
The tabacco warehouse as you will all know is the biggest brick built warehouse in the world .
Thanks.

Regarding tobaco wrehouse, don't worry same thing happened with the hotel next door, titanic, same irish guy owns that i think, anyway half way through he stopped all work whilst waiting for grants from council and europe, only thing is don't know the situation re europe now, but he bought the tobaco warehouse at the same time he bought the titanic building, long before everton was linked to the dock site.
