Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

29 Jul 2016 23:48:08
What I saw of tonight's game was just what I expected trying to get rid of what they call ring rust. Some/ most of them have not played for a while. I think we could see deulofeu play more games a bit more central this year he can do that not as a striker but helping rom out that would also allow Ross to drop a bit deeper it's about finding options that's all I want from preseason not to worried about results.

It's on the a website that chelsea have had a 57m bid rejected but everton have admitted defeat in there attempts to keep him and a fee remains to be agreed.

I thought efc had said that lak wasn't leaving?

Also city have said 40m for stones, take it or leave it. Personally I'd take it as his head wasn't in the game tonight and if we where playing a decent side they'd take advantage vans smash us. Remember lescott vs arsenal 1st game of the season he cost us 4 goals
.

What do people think? Keep stones or sell?

40m I'd keep. Absolute minimum 50m for him. Not sure exactly what percentage goes to his last club 20% or 25% something like that.

For this reason I wouldn't take any less than 50m. Only reason I'd let him go in first place is because he wanted to go.

Both City and Chelsea need to meet our valuations of each player or no deal will be done. With regards to City, how silly is it for them to say take it or leave it? They may covet him but he is our player, we name the price and then they either meet it or walk away.
What website are you talking about which says that about RM? On skysports it says we have turned down 57m and want 75m to get to the table. As much as I'd like to keep Rom, 75m would be enough to offload him. Great talent with great potential but that sort of cash is hard to turn down, especially with the agent he has who will try and get him a new club every transfer window.

Mirror and metro spud plus one other that i can remember. For my part there's no way we should see rom. he'll thrive under koeman.

Better run out tonight. Good game in the first half. They looked tired in the second but overall a proper test for them after the more gentle first two games.

Ged looks like he's getting used to that cf position. Ross was poor tonight but again it's minutes under his belt. If Stones stays Koeman would have seen tonight what areas needs workand Davies still needs quite a bit of work to get him up to standard.

Just remember blues its a friendly and its all part of the process. Don't be reading anything into the result and start with the hysterical shouts of the players are rubbish and the manager too.

Bring on tomorrow.

Apart from Deulofeu - and even he was poor in terms of his finishing - I thought the other players were below par. What worries me is that some of them don't look like they can do better. RK has an even bigger rebuilding job than I had imagined. I accept that our fitness won't be there yet, but the quality and commitment appear lacking in too many of them and that doesn't bode well. Oh well, onwards and upwards and be hopeful of some good signings soon.

Calm down sid. It's pre season bud. Signings will come but the players will improve. you don't learn thd new managers ways in a couple of weeks.

Take a step back a couple of breathes and give a little time. Remember Small stepping stones before that big leap.

29 Jul 2016 22:58:07
Surpisingly negative for you Sid! Can't disagree about the performance, but for me, what Coleman said the other day resonates. He was saying something like it will take a while to get the bad habits learned from Bobby out and the new system in. We are a club in transition in many ways. Hopefully the new tactics will click sooner rather than later!

Agree Cowpat. I think some of our fans have Blue tinted glasses. I think we look disjointed and nervous. I pooped myself when Funes Mori fell. I thought what will we do for a center half? Too many players were anonymous throughout the game. Time will tell but I don't think we are anywhere near top half never mind top 6.

29 Jul 2016 23:03:38
Forgot to say. it is therefore imperitive that we do not sell Lukaku. Except for his goals we are a below average team.

29 Jul 2016 23:04:44
RK has took this lot away to see how they play Deulofeu is not a striker cowpat so don't worry we won't start the season like that but we got to get a signing soon.

I reckon we need about 8 players as RM left the squad so poor and week. We have made no sighnings of note I am starting to worry big time.
Even if we get 4/ 6 players in we do not have the time to bed them into the team all very worrying.

Agree0 Disagree3

29 Jul 2016 23:23:25
We won't get even 4 sorry it's like any other season no one.

Ive seen teams lose every pre season game and have a belter of a campaign, so one defeat doesn't worried me one bit. itll all come good.

29 Jul 2016 23:31:27
We're all starting to worry about the signings or NO signings but I think they will come what do you think Ed who we going to sign.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - im with you AB i think we will sign at least 2 really good players, if stones goes i think we will get either williams or koulibaly and a top quality midfielder who i would love to be mahrez but we will have to wait and see on that one mate..

30 Jul 2016 10:24:36
Rome wasn't built in a day, RK has a massive job not only rebuilding in terms of team strength but also in the confidence of most of the players.
Last season was a disaster, he will want to initiate new game plans and tactics, he will be working closely and hopefully developing our senior players as well as the youngsters coming through.
There are a few weeks left in the window and with so many clubs competing for the same players they will be trying to buy correctly, c'mon guys how long since we were after and bidding on the same players as Chelsea!

Moshiri thinks big last season we thought Europe was guaranteed maybe this season we need players to get us in the top 8 / 10 places lone gueye then get players for top 4/ 5 places with koemam an current squad it could only 2/ 3seasons but we ll be there with credit respect and a solid base United 92 comes to mind with our young lads COYB.

The lad from villa in whos next i say we need a cb or 2 a holdin mf and 2 strikers delboys best place is on right he puts in some great crosses just the ticket for our new front 2 or rom an a other i think its all talk about rom leaving as usual might be wrong but u never no with our club we tend to sell our players i mean look at ronnie enough said coybs.

Seeing posts about our lack of activity and how our signings aren't impressive which may be true however the difference for us will be Koeman his tactics and training and what the others bring, like better fitness and conditioning!
I don't think Koeman has ever brought in a big name but what he has done is maximise his resources!
That is what I am looking forward to next season and seeing the real potential of some of our existing players unlocked!

Can't believe we've gone from signing mata, witsel to kone an gueye. The club should of come out and told us those rumours Wer wrong or atleast keep us out of the dark abit ed beyond a joke! For the past 6 months iv been smilin my head off an now I'm like a nervous reck knowing it's 2 weeks til the kick off. You must have some news regarding transfers for me eddy lad.

Believable1 Unbelievable8

29 Jul 2016 16:41:27
Mata was never for sale by United it was just media related gossip and Witsel has still not signed for anyone so is still available. As for Kone and Gueye, both would be good signings IMO and will be building blocks on a long path forward. Even City didn't get what they wanted when they had new wealth, remember they went for Kaka and were knocked back and other than Robinho who didn't set the world alight, they went for established Premiership players, the likes of Barry, Milner and Lescott. Try being patient and not expecting too much that way when we do make progress you won't have left yourself wide open for the told you so shouts.

Agree3 Disagree0

29 Jul 2016 16:49:30
The club has not said anything regarding Kone or Gueye either have they, so how do you know it's true? If you listen to every rumour you hear from the paper, we would have 473 players in the squad!

We need to get past the mid table teams which I think will take 2-3 years? don't see us any better than spurs, kops, west ham Leicester, Southampton, stoke, so I'm not expecting a big season.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

29 Jul 2016 14:04:11
We will finish above Leicester, Southampton and Stoke at least and that is without bringing in any new blood. The reason being in Koeman we now have a Manager that throughout his career has shown he has other Plans and Plays over and above Plan A.

Agree0 Disagree1

29 Jul 2016 15:09:02
I'm hoping the same. I don't think we got a bad bunch of players, although recruitment is still needed. Like any walk of life, if you're not happy with your manager, you do not give 100%. Hopefully with a new manager a lot of the players will feel they have something to prove and step up a gear, or at least play to their potential.

Perreira was a walsh target for loecester. . hope this werevinrested as this kid is good now and will be a beast of a player in time.

29 Jul 2016 15:29:59
I agree, Fosu mensh was very impressive when he played against us last year but maybe that's no gauge.
Young, strong and quick would definitely take a puntil but he might push the other younger lads back in the pecking order.

Doom and gloom for last 20yrs.4months into moshiris tenure. and still doom and gloom. this is going to be a long project. chins up blues. everything can't be done at the same time unless your owner / board has the wealth of city. we don't but stadium I being worked on. staff structure worked on. player contracts being worked on. the only reason we got new keeper I rk knows him, and his capabilities and atanek and Howard had gone/ were going. things will happen. maybe the incoming transfer fees will affect who can b bought and what there wages will be?

Just read an article in the Mail about former player Dave Thomas. I didn't know he has severe sight problems and is on the list to receive a guide dog and is fund raising for the charity.
He says Everton have assisted him with the he cause. He is arranging an autographed football shirt auction.

29 Jul 2016 09:29:10
That's very sad news Tedster. Davey was an amazing player, I was only a kid when he was in his pomp and used to love watching him rampaging down that left wing with his socks rolled down and no shin pads on then putting a pin point cross into the box.
Bob Latchford wouldn't have got the goals he did without Dave Thomas' assists.
