Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

29 Jan 2015 22:12:57
Right that's Mutch and Ameobi to score this weekend then. Comes to something when a team like Palace are looking to strengthen there ranks, and we just plod on blindly ignoring the bloody obvious. I pray RM is pulling a fast one and that he really has something up his sleeve or else we are in deep doo doo.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - dont bank on it woburn..

To be fair I don't those 2 players are strengthing palace. Would be poor signings for any premiership team in my opinion.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Jan 2015 06:02:43
HB I agree, I wouldn't want them either. The point I'm making is at least there looking to strengthen. And if they finish above us because of that, then that's one place we are nearer to going down.

Agree0 Disagree0

No agree and will be incredibly frustrated if we don't sign anybody. I always book deadline day off work as well, don't know why because any deals we do are always last minute anyway.
It goes without saying that the 2 players aren't good enough for everton and in my opionion aren't good enough for palace's. So as much as I want new signing and we need at least 1 signing to pick us fans up and the players, I wouldn't want anybody in that isn't going to improve us.
I am by no means in the know, and don't have contacts as such but have heard we will bring in at least 2 players and pineaar to join moyes in Spain.

How long has he got Ed before the trigger is pulled, I think if we lose to Palce and Koppites then he's a gonner

Just not sure we can afford to sack him because not only did he get a mural but he also got a fat new contract after 12 months

Probably looking at 15 million to get rid

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - if im honest i dont think he will get fired anytime this season murf, i dont think bill has the balls to sack him mate, he will probably convince him that all will be rosy in the garden, because hes good at that..

29 Jan 2015 22:55:37
i think you right ed, but I hope to god bk see's through it, when we signed him I was sceptical, bu very happy at how the season went, my dad and bro, tore into me for doubting him after xmas, but seems what I was saying is happening, for wigan, first season, records were broken, after that down hill all the way, I see the same thing happening now, now I know under moyes we had bad starts but he was unknown and pulled us through, the fact rm, has got wigan up there then failed so to push on, and now afgter a season is struggling everywere, subs tactics formations, I have to be honest and say as I see it now we could be relegated, and with that inmind and the squad we have I would sack him, who we would get in idk, rm is not the answer, I would have moyes back, I didn't ant him to go tbh. I think rm has 3 games to sort it, if am honest I doubt he will though, he needs a plan b, make subs that make sense that include not taking off the best player on the pitch as in besic and go for the kill when we on top, not tippy tappy all the time, side ways, backwards, go forward at pace.

not been on for a while because I remember saying I scream an shout at the game I go to suppoet not watch, ed said its hard to support and I disagreed basically, well I see your point now ed an struggling too atm

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - nice to see you back mate..

Sorry Deloitte rich list. Bloody autocorrect. We are European 20th richest club.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i think we all know what you meant ST..

29 Jan 2015 20:22:23
If you look at the delootter money rich list we are 20th with 144 million euro turnover. Some of that surly can be spent, even give our youth a game. Kone is ment to be fit and evertons saviour. I want what ever he is drinking. Don't get me wrong I love that everton is stable just look at Blackpool but come on.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't understand. Being rich apart from being a comparative word is the surplus on the balance sheet. It has nothing really to do with income and I am surprised a worldwide accounting firm can publish such figures. How rich are you if you earn a fortune and toss it down the drain? Players can have a value related to their contracts but injury risk set off against insurances have a negative impact. Can anyone enlighten me how players impact the balance sheet?

Agree0 Disagree0

so after supporting this club for over 55 years, through a lot of good times but a lot more poorer, I am now informed by the genius that is our current manager that I am not a real Evertonian. My crime, I have criticised the team, and the Manager on quite a few occasions. Never mind, I will spend a considerable amount of money on Saturday, along with a large number of other not real Evertonians watching a team that I don't really support.
I've got two words Roberto and the second one is off.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - it does beggar belief GTB..

Seen that myself gosport but he must be missing something because the crowd has been dead since September, quite arrogant 4 sum1 doing so poor lately

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah and I suppose roberto is a real evertonian isn't he. If we go down he will just get another job like when he left wigan and we the fans will still be going the ground each week spending our hard earned money. Theman is losing the plot.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2015 19:24:05
The bit the bothers me the most is where is all the money selling the ground, finch farm, putting every kid it seems out on loan selling players from previous seasons where is the money. As I have said before we are in Europes top twenty richest clubs.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - if we are ST....then the others must be as poor as the old church mouse mate..

29 Jan 2015 18:37:41
I'm just waiting, (uncomfortably), for the article - "Why I left Everton" by Samuel Eto'o. I don't know if I want to read it or not!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i was thinking exactly the same tezza....thats all we need..more mud mate..

29 Jan 2015 22:45:15
I say we need to hear it Tezza, if only so we know for sure what is happening behind the scenes at Goodison. If the players are not on board with RM then it may help to explain why we have been so poor so far this year. I want to know exactly how he operates away from the cameras and what the players really think of him and his methods. It won't happen though as I'm sure he would have signed some sort of confidentiality clause so he could get his move

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the fact that we haven't heard anything from behind the scenes, for me, shows the team are still fully behind the management. These days its so easy to leak stories if there was some sort of massive unrest I'm sure it would've come out by now.

I can only speculate but I was surprised to see Eto'o taking the team talks on the pitch before games - he'd only been with us for 2 mins and maybe it put some peoples back up that he'd installed himself as leader straight off, it was quite a tight knit group before. Suppose we'll see if if performances suddenly turn around.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2015 18:34:59
I used to love listening to Bobby but now I cringe when I hear his voice, we don't need to replace Eto wtf I honestly think the man is smoking the magic dragon, cop on Roberto ffs.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Jan 2015 15:53:48
There's a lot of Bobby bashing going on here which personally I think is a bit harsh.

We are top of the 'individual mistakes leading to goals' table(11) with basically the same team / defence as last year - No manager can do anything about that its down to the players.

We have had so many bad decisions go against us - Jordi Gomez not being sent off for that tackle on Barry. Baines taken out when clean through against Stoke, again no red, that penalty against Man City that has never been a penalty - just the first few that spring to mind - we've had some shockers this season. Not much luck with injuries too.

Take away the basic mistakes, get a few decisions going our way and the confidence will come back as we have some top quality players.

I agree it frustrates when we're losing against teams we were battering last year and Bobby comes out and says we played well. that's just him trying to keep confidence up. I just think he deserves a chance to turn it around, last year was the most enjoyable season I can remember being a blue since the 80's, it was no fluke.the table doesn't lie.

COYB!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i admire your loyalty MM, but as you say the table doesn,t lie mate, we are in dire straits and something needs to change...starting with the gaffer..

This PL is a cruel but honest league, it takes no prisoners and leaves the weak and feeble looking errrr well weak and feeble

The point is we are now a mere shadow of last seasons team

The vultures and hyenas are ready to pick at our bones and survival is the name of the game NOT pretty no end result football!

That ship has sailed and is now awash with stormy seas.

I do love metaphors :)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - me too mate..

Nice to see some support, I understand results have not been acceptable but I believe a lot of people are just jumping on the band wagon. When things aren't going well we get reports off training ground bust ups etc everything gets blown up out of all proportion. There was no mention of half the stuff last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2015 16:46:37
Agree with some of your points Mike, we have had a lot of bad luck this season. However, the fact that RM refuses to change his style or system is the main cause for being in this predicament. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the best managers don't just play one set way. They have the nous to change things as the game goes on but RM is too stubborn to do this. The buck stops with the manager and, thus far, he has been as poor as the team. If results don't pick up in the next 3 games then BK has to get rid, our proud record of top flight football can not be put in further jeopardy

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Jan 2015 22:26:09
Not in to bashing everton players or manager. but I think both sides of everton fans need to be pragmatic and realistic. For the haters. who do they want Bobby replaced with? All of the names banded about. have no credibility in the prem league and remain as much of a risk as Bobby represents now. However, at the same time, I read a post above that says (para phrasing) our demise is due to the players. Well in part yes. they kick the ball. However, I think Bobby is mainly to blame. Unlike many managers, he does not alter tactics to suite opponent, he plays players out of position simply to accommodate them ( ross on left wing), he maintains 1 lone striker, he maintains tip tap football at all costs, he maintains same formation, he makes substitutes far too late in games. I don't want him to be sacked, just want him to adapt and make decisions that those of us who go the game can see need to be made. and do it early in game rather than 15 mins to go. I also want him to give garbutt, browning, mcaleny. maybe even Henen a run. Come on Bobby stop being so predictable and stubborn

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - if he was willing to adapt jclaff we would not be in this mess now..

I hear you ed. however, I also think that sacking now will not help. I wasn't all gooey eyed when Bobby signed. cautious in fact, but unfortunately we need to suck it up, keep making our feelings known at the game and hopefully change things around. big hope BUT it's all we have unfortunately

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i respect your opinion mate, even though i dont agree..

29 Jan 2015 15:50:51
Teams around us strengthening in this window and what do we do. zilch. Would it of been so bad to sign then Norwegian gk, or bring Pato in. The Ukrainian winger possibly coming if Mirallas leaves, what's the point in that. Keep mirallas and add the Ukrainian. It's really down heartening supporting Everton sometimes. I bet if cleverly was available right now we would be doing everything in our power to get him

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - just thank god hes not dentie..

If Clevs was available right now and we weren't doing everything in our power to get him, then heads should roll.

It was William Congreve (not William Shakespeare, as is often mistakenly believed) who wrote, "Heaven has no rage like love to hatred turned, Nor hell a fury like a woman scorned."
Well, that's how I now feel about our club's current manager - and, I believe, how many other previous backers of RM also now feel - having been taken to the heights of expectation last season only to have those hopes cruelly dashed and definitively crushed by this season's performances and results.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i have a message to our manager sid.."hell hath no fury like an evertonian relegated"....so pull your finger out!..

29 Jan 2015 13:59:34
Everton boo boys! Are not real fans. We have supported our club longer than RM has been boss. Finally see some spending and then nothing in jan when we need it. Defender, goalkeeper striker, winger. But no RM things we have the best team in Europe.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - hes a charlatan i tell you...a fraud ST..

At the very beginning of RM's reign I responded to the doubters by posting that RM wasn't a charlatan - that he was a Catalan. Ha-ha I thought. Well, he's definitely still a Catalan, but am I now having to eat my words about the other word!
The more I think about it, the more I belive it was the way his Wigan team stuffed us 0-3 in the FA Cup - and how he explained that to BK when interviewed for our managerial vacancy - that got him the job.
BK clearly believes that RM is the one to take the club "forward". I'm just worried which way RM is facing, since he may be striding confidently (blinkered and arrogantly?) forward but in the wrong direction - towards the Championship rather than the Champions League.
So, I guess I'm not a proper or real Evertonian and my sixty-plus years of supporting the club man and boy doesn't entitle me to express an opinion that doesn't conform to RM's view of what constitutes acceptable performances (let alone results!).

Agree0 Disagree0

Cowpat Sid,

I am in the same boat as you mate. I woke up this morning to discover I am not a proper Evertonian,

As you can imagine I am totally gutted. In fact I wish someone had told me all those years ago, before I had spent however many thousands of pounds it equates to over the 45 years I have been wrongly supporting the club.

In all seriousness though, who the hell does he think he is? Generalissimo Franco? Not that it matters now, the buffoon has gone too far this time. His days are numbered and then us improper Evertonians will carry on supporting the club no matter what mess it is in after he is no more than a distant bad memory!

To all posters/readers,
Please take note.

"So we are very much in a moment where we all turn to each other, from the fans, to the players, to the staff, to the board of directors to the chairman. We all are a really strong unit and are we are ready to get through this period and become a stronger, more determined football club and that's what you do when you face adversity in football."

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think that was..."into the championship of death went the great everton"...or something like that mate.. :)

UTTER GUFF!

Agree0 Disagree0

Words are cheap.
Results - and the points they earn - are what matter.
Improved performances - especially exciting, entertaining, expansive, attacking play, but also defensive solidity - would be a very nice bonus.
Silverware - and/or Champions League qualification - remains but an increasingly distant dream.
Dropping out of the Premier League - surely a financial disaster - is a nightmare that is at increasing risk of becoming reality.
The only determination that I see is RM's - his insistence on playing square pegs in round holes AND using tactics/formations that our current squad of available players just don't seem comfortable with AND him not finding a way to counteract how opposing teams so easily nullify us.

Agree0 Disagree0

At 3pm tomorrow everyone will be 100% supporting the team as always, however at full time it remains to be seen if the manager has somehow turned our fortunes over the last weeks preparation!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i will be supporting them on saturday as well wakka.. :)

I have a question for any of our posters who is a REGULAR member of the great away support we have:
I sincerely believe that our travelling away supporters are amongst the most loyal and knowledgeable and honest in our entire fanbase, so what is their general attitude to RM and the players this season?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

29 Jan 2015 12:42:10
I my god, this is driving me crazy, we spend 25 million on a striker because everton want to progress as a club, RM brings in experience to help in the euros. Last year we looked great. But now we have started poorly it's like this season we have given up, so we can get ready for next year. As far as I know we are paying Chelsea 5 million a year. Everton is in the top 20 highest earning clubs in Europe where is all the money where is it all going. Is it for the stadium, is there massive debts we don't know about. So many question it drives me crazy. Let me guess more loans and no buys. If I had hair I would pull it out. I love my club but times well I am sure people feel the same.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i think we all feel the same ST..

29 Jan 2015 11:49:41
I apologise for my past previous comments aimed at RM.
I bow to his knowledge of things as they stand and recognise that we've only been poor on one occasion, the Hull City game and unlucky in the rest.
He obviously knows more about our club than I or any other 'Real Evertonians' who have questioned his leadership of late.
He's probably right because my only real 'history' of supporting the blues only started in 1966 when I cried my eyes out when we went 0-2 down in the cup final.
About the same time the Costa Del Sol consisted of three wooden huts and a donkey shed.
Hmmm, that hole he's digging is sure getting deeper.'Delta Taxies' anyone?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - we have only been poor on one occasion mushy..the 2014/15 season mate..

Ed025: it's like that scene in "Porridge" where Fletcher tells another prisoner that he's lucky because his wife's only been unfaithful twice - once to the milkman and a second time to he household cavalary. Well, we've only played poorly twice ths season - once to Hull City and a second time to the entire Premier League.
Lose at Palace, cave in to the darkside, get slaughtered at Chelsea, underperform against Leicster, disintegrate at Arsenal - all will be OK for RM as long as we are "phenomenal" against Berne!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - we have a really hard run coming up sid...starting with a rejuvenated palace away, i honestly cant see us getting much out of them or the dark side, the leicester game will be pivotal, and if we fail to beat them then the writing is on the wall im afraid, i told you that i would give him till mid january to turn thing around, well he has failed, so now i want this fraud out mate..

Well done for apologizing Mushy. It takes a big man to know when he has been so wrong.

I for one have never ever doubted good old Bobby and I am please to be recognised as a 'Real Evertonian'. Thank you Bob.

I pity any of you 'so called' fans who have nothing but negativity to spread.

We are just a bit unlucky that's all. You non believers need to see that. We were a bit poor against Hull, but that is to be expected. You can't be phenomenal every game.

I woke up this morning in a sweat having had a terrible dream, we were in the championship, Roberto Martinez was our manager and he was giving a press interview in which he said that despite our phenomenal performance that was full of energy and creativity, we were unlucky to lose 4-0 to Rotherham, and it was inevitable in this transfer window, we would have to sell our best players Mcelany and Browning to raise cash for new players, but our captain McGeady was here to stay!

A goal scoring forward is very badly needed now. Lukaku isn't exactly in goal scoring form, but in the event of him getting injured who is to take his place. where's the goals coming from to win games and get the 3 points. A goal scoring forward takes some pressure off a dodgy defence Mr Martinez. So how much longer is it before Martinez and Kenwright take action.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i think our problem is that we are not creating the chances mate..

Roberto Martinez has reiterated in his press conference this morning that Everton are unlikely to dip into the transfer market to replace Samuel Eto'o. Martinez believes striker Arouna Kone, who recently returned from a long-term injury, has the ability to step into Eto'o's shoes

Eto'o 5 times African player of the year, 2 European continental trebles, Champions league winner .
Kone . used to play for Wigan .

My head as completely gone Martinez as come out and said proper Evertonians know we've played a lot better than the results show the guy as lost it who aren't proper Evertonians then? Let me guess the ones that criticise him and boo him that bloke as no idea what it means to be an Evertonian and never will. Off to sit in a dark room now need a bit of calm time

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Careful pal that dark rooms full of not proper Evertonian's also trying to calm down!

Agree0 Disagree0

The more Martinez spins to the media the bigger the hole he digs for himself. He needs to realise that true Evertonians are concerned and worried about the teams performance and he doesn't appear to be trying to change or rectify the problems.
Evertonians are amongst the most patient and knowledgeable fans to support a football club and it is insulting for Martinez to suggest different.
At the end of this season it is points in the bag that matter now not the style.
