note to everyone Bill kenwright is not on ssn tonight the poster got the name wrong. it says on ssn that bill will talk to craig white tonight not tim white. Craig white is the rangers chairman. thats who he is talking too about the transfer.
Andy {Ed025's Note - cheers andy,..
29 Jan 2012 22:03:48
Ed where have people heard about the kenwright interview on SSN ? And if so do you
Know what time it's on ? Thanks {Ed025's Note - sorry mate...its news to me..
29 Jan 2012 22:01:41
Hi everyone, Rangers fan here. Jelavic would be a great addition to your squad. Seen some manky tims on here sayin he aint that hot, they've hated him since he destroyed them years ago when he was at rapid!
Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season!
Jay
Glasgow {Ed025's Note - cheers jay
Jelavic would be a great signing for everton, he can get on the end of baines crosses. Him and straq would be a good partnership
@ jay;manky tims! just to let you everton boys in to a secret..............offer rankers a big bag of toffees n you can have jellyhead.thats how skint they really are. good luck. green jhedi
29 Jan 2012 21:41:22
Beware posts from RS trying to scupper transfers or run down any player we try to sign - and half decent striker who puts in a shift and has reasonable feet will be welcomed with open arms - anyone who's better than that will get the red carpet treatment - and anyone who's seriously good would be a god to our long suffering fans
Surely you mean BLUE carpet.
By the way Ed has something happened within the media circles, we were headline news on SSN this morning, next thing you know we'll be MOTD first, and it won't be because we lost to one of their favourites....Is it the wind of change are things about to change?
Not holding my breath or getting too excited just yet but it will be interesting to see how much we've bid for Jelly.
Big C {Ed025's Note - it will be around £7m bigc....but paid in instalments
29 Jan 2012 21:41:07
People are being a bit negative about Jelavic me thinks okay so his international record is poor, but he has scored goals wherever he has played at club level. His record at Rapid Vienna was 40 in 93 games, which I think we can all agree is better than we have now!
His record for rapid was 25 in 70 games actually, and 33 in 108 before he joined rangers.
never been a prolific striker until he went to the spl, where about 1/3 of his goals are penalties
I went off the BBC which states 40 in 93! Sorry if i e given duff info. That said even if it is 25 in 70 that's a bit better than 1 in 3 which is still better than what we have? In our current financial predicament we have to accept that we're not going to get a prolific goalscorer surely
It might be better than what's already there, but don't forget he's not just going to have 4 hard games every year
1/3 of his goals were from penalties? go on youtube, it shows all his goals from last season, and not 1 was a penalty, there was an absolute quality overhead kick whcih flew into the top corner, that was exceptional.
I am skeptical about Jelavic as the SPL doesnt have a great history for strikers coming to England, but when it comes to transfers, i find it hard to doubt Moyes, Arteta struggled at rangers before we picked him up, so there are gems there.
I just hope it is a reasonable price like 5mil, not 8mil.
I heard from other Everton forums, and lads seem to think to expect 2 deals done, possibly 3 before the end of the window. Would imagine, the ins are Jelavic (if it is true) and Manolas. Wouldnt mind that Hoarau lad from PSG either.
29 Jan 2012 20:59:41
What time is bill on ssn {Ed025's Note - sorry mate..i dont know..
Kenright on ssn??
He will be talking to tim white on sky sports news after 10pm, should be fun
Any news on bill on ssn? an were we getting cash from?
Kenwright isn't on ssn he is talking to craig white not tim white. craig white is the rangers chairman
29 Jan 2012 20:47:57
Evening toffees, Celtic fan here. obviously I am going to say Jellyfish is not worth £7m (because I have watchem him play) his movement is on a par with a tailors dummy in Burtons window and so is his pace.
What he is good at is holding ball up and is good in the air, if Everton also put in good crosses he will give you a decent presence in the box.
Heard one fan compare him to Carrol, my 2 year old nephew has more goal threat than carrol.
So if Carrol is worth £35m then maybe £7m for big NJ is ok, but have Everton got £7m? hail hail Timalloy
29 Jan 2012 20:41:31
some of the jocks finding our posts quite amusing about jelly man, there not to concerned were getting him, which worries me...byn {Ed025's Note - its a case of ...if he does,nt want to play for us, then we dont want him byn, we woud say the exact thing mate..
True ed but dont get that feeling off them, if we get him fingers crossed he can do a job
29 Jan 2012 20:43:54
What's with all the negativity on here about Jelavic. He plays in spl granted. However he knows were the net is so give him a chance. Can I ask you all to remember that Goodison hero we all know as Duncan Ferguson and what team he came from.
29 Jan 2012 20:19:40
you'se all complain that we dont have a proven goal scorer in our side, then when we bid for a class striker with an amazing goal ratio, you still complain? {Ed025's Note - well said mate..
May i also add alot of people on here were hoping we could get maynard or rhodes and even beckford returning, fact is i would have jelavic all day before these, he is a proven goalscorer, come on you blues.
Jelavic is class.he is skillfull, can hold the ball up and he scores lots of goals.i would be very happy if he comes to us
Not me complaining mate, I love jelly, by the way when is the next cup game and will kids be a fiver gain
Degsybluenose {Ed025's Note - 3 weeks time degsy...but i dont think the fiver deal will be on..as it will be a sell-out....but it would be good if all kids got in all games for a bluey....it would encourage a new era of supporters..
29 Jan 2012 20:04:26
hi ed.... rangers fan here and can i just say how dissapointed i am with everton fans on here.... i genuinely thought a lot of toffees fans and thought that they wer all football fans who knew their stuff, but some of the comments on here about jelavic is wild
sure he is not david villa but the guy scores goals, he would be a smash at everton and he is a far superior footballer to some of the strikers plying their trade in the EPL hes only 26 a few good seasons and you boys will reap the benefits....
think you boys will be pleasantly surprised at jelavic and trust me he will be a bigger hit than andy carroll
all the best boys and thanks for having me on the page {Ed025's Note - tanks a lot mate...good luck to you too..YATP
I expected more from my own fans also but i for one will give anyone there chance, just cant figure where the money is coming from
For gods sake he scores goals and we dont and he appears to be in our price range, no brainer if you ask me- wella
Just to let you know mate, a lot of the posts being negative about Jelavic will be Liverpool fans, i'd say the majority of Everton fans will be happy if Jelavic signs, he's a lot better than what we have upfront at the minute
Paul EFC {Ed025's Note - i agree paul..
You have always been a fan of Jelavic i seem to remember you saying a few months back you liked him ?
I think he is a grafter and more importantly he ENJOYS scoring, he is always looking to get a goal unlike some of the striker's we have at the minute.
Hope we sign him to be honest, I think a strike force of Jelavic with Cahill behind him could be magic
29 Jan 2012 19:58:45
Lads if we beat b'pool or wednesday were in the quarters hopefully we can get to wembley I couldn't cars were we finish (obviously not bottom 3) as long as we win that cup !
Too right, hope some more PL teams draw each other in next round, we deserve an easy route, compared to last final that is
29 Jan 2012 19:39:20
Doyle record : Wolves 2009- 79apps and 16 goals
Jelavic record : Rangers 2010- 45apps and 35 goals
Who out the two would be a better signing for us?
TOFFEEAARON
29 Jan 2012 19:35:30
I'm a rangers fan, and I watch Jelavic every week. I could make a number of points about players who have come from the SPL and done well elsewhere. Gatusso, Van Bronkhorst, and your ex best player Arteta. Bad players? Stop being so negative about your chairman. If he pays the money for Jelavic, it's the bargain of the year. He's not slow, contrary to previous posts on here, and could easily walk into any (yes any) team in the EPL when fit. Mark my words, he's absolute class. Also, he's a 100 % grafter. If I had to compare him in style i'd say Batistuta. Give him a chance, and go easy on the chairman. We'd do anything to be in your financial position! Good luck for the season guys. {Ed025's Note - cheers mate..
Good post mate. some alledged fans on here are already saying he would be a poor buy. Just watching some of his play on you tube and he has got a bit of pace, skill, touch, scores good goals as well as free kicks. lets hope he is more big dunc than mo johnston! {Ed025's Note - if we get another big dunc...i will be more than happy..
Batistuta? Lol, I think someone's taking the michael!
Miko x
Just see how quick the post changed after gibsons first game, nowt but slaggin him off before it was offical then loads of praise for a good game
29 Jan 2012 19:34:45
Where have all the fans gone who were saying Bily would go Tuesday night and we wouldn't get to spend any of the cash?
I have to say that the Jellyman would be my first choice, but at the end of the day he can't be any worse than Saha has been this season! If i had a choice i'd like us to go dor Zaha from palace. I know he's more potentional than the finished article at the moment, but with the rest of the season to adapt to the prem i think he could do well for us next season. Before anyone starts saying we'll be in the cahmpionship next year, there are worse teams in the league than us this year and i think we'll go onj a bit of a run now and finish about 10-12 this season.
Lee
29 Jan 2012 19:11:06
just a note, if the red sh1te offered caroll for tevez, why did'nt we offer billy for messi ? {Ed025's Note - sounds fair to me..
I would have wanted iniesta included for a fairer deal.
29 Jan 2012 19:02:27
Really happy we are atleast trying for Jelavic ..He is quality and much better than the crap we have now .
Markyg
29 Jan 2012 18:57:43
Dogleash taking rs for training shouts to forwards You kick ball in goal
Suares says Mr dagleash I can understand english quite well now
Dogleash says not talking to you talking to Carrol behind you
35 million
29 Jan 2012 18:55:29
I can't believe some of the negative comments about Jelavic and so called fans saying they would not go to watch the team if we bought him. Grow up Lads FFS. There is no pleasing some people. Two important things to remember (1 we are attempting to sign a striker a proven goal scorer and a Croatian international. (2 there must be some money to buy !!
Personally I think he can be brilliant for Everton he is a great header of the ball he knows where the net is and he has good positioning in and around the box. He may lack speed but we don't play balls over the top all the time. We are a team that's gets down the wings and cross the ball. Coleman on the right Drenthe on the the left., this can work have faith in the manager and team
IMWT
Toffee Tino {Ed025's Note - i agree tino..he would do for me..
Croatia are no great shakes, nor is the standard of most SPL teams. He will find it a lot tougher in England.
29 Jan 2012 18:53:14
Jelavic will do for me . Haven't heard much about the Doyle rumour but yes would have him as well hopefully any news on the Doyle one ed ? Pmc62 {Ed025's Note - we have asked about his availability pcm....but i dont think he is our prime target..
29 Jan 2012 18:52:57
Moysey does not paly a regular striker.
All the strikers who left are scoring Yak/Beckford.
Because they get a reg place in new clubs.
Scratchy Fanny got one on Friday...give him a reg place..
We are not going for Europe...time to prove players!
Scratchy Fanny? OMG! Did you make that one up all by yourself?
29 Jan 2012 16:47:52
Just wondering how much we have bid for Jelavic? Apparently West Ham had a £7m bid rejected for him. Would we have bid more? I know we have the funds from the Bily sale but it would seem a bid in excess of £7m would blow all our funds? Any views on this ed? - H {Ed025's Note - we have certainly been courting him H ...i think we may be able to get him for less cash, but with a player thrown in..
29 Jan 2012 18:23:59
Kenwright to be interviewed on SSN tonight by Jim White. Wonder what's he going to say.
Make sure your watching to see what crap he comes out with
Any idea mate what time, jelavic has said he would welcome a move to Goodson park.
We're have the funds come from
Tall centre forward from rangers deja vu
Hope we get him
What to hear bill say watch this space again.
What time?
29 Jan 2012 18:12:09
Im an Everton fan from Dundee thats 15 and goes to all the home games and the northern away games. When I can, I go and see the SPL football. Sh1t standard yes, but Jelavic really is a good goal scorer and would be a good signing. Its not about your league, its about knowing where the net is. Di Canio and Larson played in the spl not so long ago . good enough for lots of clubs to be interested. Jockblue.
Great post jockblue I agree :D
Toffee Tino
West ham were the only other team interested....all the rest were made up to bump up his valuation
29 Jan 2012 17:56:00
Don't go writing Doyle and Jelavic off before they've even signed, personally I'd be delighted to sign them both, because I'd just be happy signing a striker. Also, what Jelavic lacks in pace, he makes up for in finishing.
Howard
Nev(or Hibbert) Heitinga Duffy Baines
Donovan Gibson Fellaini Drenthe
Doyle Jelavic
Post any changes you'd make.
ToffeeDave.
Spot on Dave, people also slating him cos he plays in a so called shi$$y league, does that mean crappy players who cannot get the ball to him then, in other words if he had decent players around him he would be better, like at Everton
Glasgow bear here, jelavic is a good player when he wants to be and his head is in it , needs the service though, seen some poor sayings on this site about our league , we sold ya big dunc ferguson and he never turned out that bad , personally i think jelavic would work well with cahil as we had him with k.miller for a time and they looked good, get him for 6m 7m youve stole him. craigybear
29 Jan 2012 17:28:43
would love to see us playing a 3 5 2 formation with baines and coleman either side of duffy jags and distin , fellaini drenthe and rodwell in the middle with velios and jelavic if he were to sign.
29 Jan 2012 17:01:11
I think it'll be interesting to see how much we've bid for the jelly man, considering how much west ham are reported to have had rejected! I'm wondering if it's a proper bid or not just a token undisclosed bid of a set of garden furniture, a second hand iron and free car washes for a week by billy liar to try keep the fans happy!! But I really hope it's a genuine proper bid.
Kurajan
29 Jan 2012 16:58:55
Ballack has been told he can leave THIS transfer market, surely him and a striker would be great buys
TOFFEEAARON
His legs have gone
29 Jan 2012 16:46:55
Everton have bid for Jelavic. Confirmed on SSN we are now awaiting Rangers response
Toffeeboy
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm seem to recall a bid for a certain alan shearer at the end of transfer deadline, lets just wait guys and see what we have on wednesday.... take care billy liar is out there..
29 Jan 2012 16:04:22
Why is it everyone thinks we're rubbish ok we are not having the best of seasons I admit but come on we are still on course to finish top 8 and we will not bad with no cash end of season league table
1. Man city
2. Man utd
3. Spurs
4. Arsenal
5. Chelsea
6. Liverpool
7. Sunderland
8. Everton
9. Stoke
10. Newcastle
11. Fulham
12. Aston villa
13. Norwich
14. West brom
15. Qpr
16. Swansea
17. Bolton
18. Blackburn
19. Wolves
20. Wigan
Sunderland wont finish 7th and newcastle will finish higher than 10th
I can't see Everton finishing 8th but I think we could arrive at FA Cup Final with a bit of luck. If Stoke city could did it last year probably we have some options. COYB
Sunderland don't have the best side but they do have in my opinion one of the best managers that's why I put them there they won't get beat many times between now and end of season where Newcastle will be good one week and rubbish next
29 Jan 2012 15:55:31
C.O.Y.B WERE ON THE MARCH WITH MOYESIES ARMY WERE ALL GOING TO WEMBLEY.COME ON FELLOW BLUES LETS GET BEHIND ARE TEAM FORGET ABOUT THE MONEY WORRIES GET BEHIND THE TEAM AND URGE THEM ONTO ANOTHER TRIP DOWN WEMBLEY WAY.THIS IS OUR YEAR FOR THE FA CUP LETS MAKE HISTORY DOWN THERE AGAIN LIKE SAHA'S FASTEST GOAL IN FA CUP FINAL

29 Jan 2012 15:45:04
Just watched the Sunderland Boro
game.
Was Mclean the lad we were after but
didnt have the money so fat head Bruce
jumped in and bought him? If it is what
a loss quality young player tough, pace, great work rate and can cross a ball.
Weve missed out there. Hope we get
a decent striker in. Is Doyle any better
than Velios and Straq?
Also another point about the game. The
media love O'Neil what are they goin
on about saying Sunderland had a good goal
disallowed. Gardner caught the effin ball.
Sheff Wed or Blackpool at home next round.
Come on
The Blue Don
29 Jan 2012 12:42:13
Anyone see the football league show last night? Jake Bidwell setting up a couple of goals and looking like a Baines mk2. Apparently Garbutt is doing the business too, and we all heard about how well Baxter did at Tranmere + Duffy in the 1st team looking good. Good signs for the future (not all negative at Everton :)
Add to that the U18's beat Uniteds lot 4-1. Barkley played 90 minutes and Lundstram was excellent.
Alastair
29 Jan 2012 12:36:07
i was just thinking about the FA cup draw and wouldn't it be great if we got liverpool at goodison
Andy
In all honsty i want an easy draw at home with the likes of chelsea, spurs, sh*te and arsenal or villa drawing each other
Play them at wembley in the semi....dont want them to reach another final...
Don't want to see those yard dogs at Goodison more than once a season. Dalglish is so miserable he he makes Davey seem happy-go-lucky
29 Jan 2012 12:31:10
Liverpoo fc r funny wantin to swap there donkey for tevez. Made me smile when i read it haha
That is legendary what they tried there mate, makes a laughing stock out of them, who would swap a 20 million player tevez for 3 million pound player carroll.
Coyb
Degsybluenose {Ed025's Note - even cash converters knocked carroll back!
Disagree button hit again guys, red sh on our rumours page again. Go on your own pages you sad boring lot. Hey Ed 001 make sure you post this you red nose lol
Degsy {Ed025's Note - i will degsy..
29 Jan 2012 12:05:07
No disrespect to Kevin Doyle, but no thanks!
Agree dont want doyle thanks
29 Jan 2012 12:04:02
SSN source says we may make a bid for Kevin Doyle what you think Ed personally don't think he is a bad player but not first choice at wolves so don't think he is that much better than what we have, I want us to sign Ricki lambert I know he is 29 but scores lots of goals and look when he don't play for saints they are average he makes that team tick offers so much does not have pace but has everything else i would rather moyes spent money on him than doyle or the other strikers been linked with {Ed001's Note - I haven't seen enough of Lambert to judge him, but I am not a fan of Doyle, he is just a headless chicken of very average ability at best.}
29 Jan 2012 11:54:02
Its on SSN that everton want Kevin Doyle, I for one hope its not true as beckford and the Yak were much better and we could probably get a better, cheaper player from the championship!
29 Jan 2012 11:52:48
hi ed what do you think about kevin doyle do you think hes good enough dosent seem to get bags of goals would rather take a chance on tubbs of crawley he wouldnt cost much and we should be able to get another striker or creative player in {Ed001's Note - for me Doyle is awful, he works his hardest for the team, which would be great if he was alongside a goalscorer, but to have him as the focal point would not improve the team.}
29 Jan 2012 11:15:56
The name were linked to today is Kevin Doyle. Different name everyday, wouldn't mind if this one is true though, he would fit into our team, hard worker and gets a few goals.
What you make of this one ed ? Just another name and wait till tuesday ? {Ed001's Note - have you watched him play? He runs around like a headless chicken and misses the goal a lot. There is a very good reason he is still at Wolves, he just isn't good enough to go further in my opinion. Everton could do better.}
29 Jan 2012 11:07:11

Perhaps they will leave us alone now they have won 2 games. They can watch He haw their £35 mill signing from disney land .COYB
29 Jan 2012 07:56:02
What makes me laugh most about my fellow blues is that so many of you are so damn fickle. There's so many on here posting that the striker Moyes will sign will partner Straq up front. Are these the same fans that before he scored on Friday were slating him, stating that all the players laugh at him in training at how bad he is? Get a grip.
29 Jan 2012 04:27:13
Ed, just curious because I always thought we had stracqualursi on loan. But on one of the big websites (espn soccernet or sky sports - sorry I can't remember) it says that we signed him for free. I'll get the link for you now and post it in a comment
AussieBlue {Ed025's Note - he is on loan mate
Ed you are wrong he is not on loan he is an everton player. If you did not pick that up purely on how he I'd talked about by Moyes round and players then please look a bit deeper he was released by his previous club, he then trained at Leicester but they didn't want him we then gave him a one year deal, he has no club to go to at end of season if it does not work out with us, hence his reaction at scoring on Friday
Svenny {Ed025's Note - i think he is still on loan from tigre..
Are you getting him confused with Drenthe ?? Straqualersui in son loan he has 3 years left on his contract with Tigre
Straq is defo on loan from Tigre - as is Drenthe
29 Jan 2012 02:33:02
i'd be very suprised if drenthe even makes the bench on tuesday if what greg okeefe from the echoes twitter page is true, we may not even see him in a blue shirt again unless he starts listening to instruction, foolish lad.

Getting seriously close to Deadline day, so I'm not going to hold my breathe until then. Expect any deals to be done on Tuesday. {Ed007's Note - Don't hold your breath that length of time mate, not even if you are spending the night with Hayley McQueen!!! Buy snorkelling equipment.}
Hahhaaa funny response ed007.... No i don't expect any deals untill late tuesday myself
28 Jan 2012 23:56:32
Feed the starq, feed the straq, feed the straq and he will score. apologies couldnt think anything better but i hope the lad gets given a chance cos at least he grafts for us-deserves a song
