why the shouting Ed, didn't you think we would get it.

{Ed025's Note - some may struggle i thought DM..especially the bill haters as they obviously dont have a brain mate.. :)

Throughout the process of looking for an investor Moshiri has kept a low profile. I won't believe until it's been rubber stamped. I also hope Roberto can take us forward with a bigger budget and not remould us into Wigan.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - that wont happen robbie..trust me mate..

01 Mar 2016 22:03:58
Has it gone over your head Ed?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - yes it did robbie...sorry mate im looking after my 5 yr old granddaughter and on here at the same time, but thats no excuse as i would not let anyone else get away with it..cue the tumbleweed.. :)

Pleased that Besic has signed an extension. Really like his passion and commitment. Could make a future captain imo.

Best news I've heard all year. he is going to be a beast if he can stay fit

The new Paul Bracewell. Injuries but then glued the side together in the 80s with reidy.

Pleased with new injection of ideas if not money yet. I think this guy will develop a love for Everton and eventually become the owner.

2nd best news Geoff, don't forget the Moshy takeover.

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Mar 2016 08:43:16
Sorry murf, I believe it's better than that. before he got injured again, he was immense. Like when he bulldozed toure.

Also because it's not quite a takeover just yet. he seems to have just bought shares
Let's just see what his plans are.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - his plans are to get more shares over the next few years geoff, he will end up with a majority holding and be running the club before long..

01 Mar 2016 09:31:04
I hope so, ed. I may be wrong but he doesn't seem like a only-for-profit kind of guy. I hope he wants to build a legacy of success. I hope we stay prudent and as close to self sufficient as possible. I also hope we have news about a ground by the end of season, even if it's just looking at sites.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the ground issue is the big one geoff, it will be either re-development of goodison or a new ground (my preference) and this i expect will be the first thing on the list, moshiri is very well connected and the ideal guy to get it sorted mate..

Am not ashamed to say I have from day one believed that RM was a disastrous appointment.
I still believe it but now we have, 'A new Dawn'. Nice words, lovely, smashing.
When a new boss takes over everyone in the organisation is a bit apprehensive about whether they will fit in or be shipped out.
No excuses now, we've had enough talk from you and the players.
Six points this week with Villa put to bed at half time and the Hammers hammered.
No more hand wringing, ref was to blame, we were unlucky etc.
If you are capable of delivering what this guy has already put on the table to achieve, do it!
I want to be proven wrong and hope so much that he can do the job.

Mushy. This new investor didn't get where he is today by being a mug. I'm sure he already knows what this squad is capable off and will quickly see through any managerial bullsh***.

29 Feb 2016 20:54:47
Right let's have a little bit of fun. Your RM and Mr Mosh comes in and asks you what players you want to keep and why. Minimum of five please. And what six players you would like to buy and why. I know he's rich but try and make it realistic, so Messi not included, the guy would be skint.

Players to move into a support roll within the club if they wanted too:

Osman,
Hibbert,

Players to sell:
Howard
Pienaar
Gibson
Kone
McGeady

Players in:
Couthino ideally, if not then Bolasie or Young short term while we look for/ develop a quality young LM.
Bony comp for Rom and Niasse
Butland comp for Robles
Elmohamady cover for Coleman

I would be happy then to develop our youngsters it appears we have quite a few good ones.

the squad would then be:
GK
Butland
Robles

LB
Garbutt
Baines
Oviedo

RB
Coleman
Elmohamady
Pennington/ Kenny

CB
Jags
Stones
Mori
Galloway
Browning/ Holgate

Hey Ed's and blues, I don't log in as frequently these days but thought I'd just pop in to say How happy I am for myself, everyone here and other blues all around the world that the club has finally got the new investment that it deserves. Would also like to say a big Thankyou to Mr Kenwrighy. Hopefully this is the start of something fantastic and a sleeping giant reawakens.

Eds 25

Do we give RM till Xmas next year or end of the season.
I would like to see us win at least 8 out of 11, then if that is done give him till Xmas other than that I would like a new face in.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - 8 out of 11 is a massive ask pb, but i would like to see him assessed at the end of the season myself and take it from there mate..

29 Feb 2016 18:17:04
If you look at our team we should be doing well, we missed out big time, but I got a really good feeling about the run in and next year. Club has had a massive lift. I think it will run through to team. Murff might actually win a bet 😂.

As we all know on here we are not a sacking club but with the new investment comes pressure. Rm knows we need to perform now and if not imo the board will react, so the old saying goes balls in your court Roberto.

Great news about the takeover of sorts (49.9%) , its investment we need and what is promised through this. However its yet to be ratified and also we need to be real, he's a Billionaire and his wealth is less than that of a few other teams such as Sunderland, Soton and Leicester. My gut feeling is he is just the first of the investment and more will follow in buying out Woods shares (18. %) . That would make a diffence in particular if its another investor n not the same guy (Usmanov maybe? ) . So sit tight lads, its not going to be cash thrown everywhere yet, he needs to settle in (with the other investment to come) before he knows if he trusts everyone else at the club to move forward in the way he wants and of course whether Roberto is the man he wants spending the Money.

Howie he's already said there will be 100 million in the kitty in the summer, future is bright.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - That's not much when you include all the extra cost involved in buying players for the EPL. Sign a player for £20 million on say £80k a week on a 5 year deal and that's £40 million out of that budget and that's without signing on fees, agent fees and all the other cost involved.
I'm a Celtic fan mate and would give my right nut for us to have £100 million in the pot so don't think I'm trying to have a pop at you, there might be other roads for the money too.}

29 Feb 2016 03:15:38
Let's just give this fella the benefit of the doubt for now. I think this is the start of something special for us, and hopefully within the next 5 years we'll be in a new stadium and challenging for top 4 regularly and for major honors. We've all been dying for investment for years and now we've got it some blues still aren't happy. I've had a smile on my face all weekend since the 'takeover' has been announced. let's all be positive and look forward to the glory days returning.

i have to say ollblue I am buzzing everything I am hearing is just good vibes I think the best thing is that we have kept are soul, with bill still sitting in his chair and with the good news that he is back fit and well and we are still the peoples club this new fella had a bee in his bonnet at arsenal because they would not let him spend his cash which means he is not tight I could go on but I am just to excited roll on next season.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i want a ticket on that ride as well paul..

29 Feb 2016 14:46:32
if all goes to plan ed ye won't be able to get a ticket next season.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i can always get one paul..its who you know mate.. :)

29 Feb 2016 01:08:03
Two things on my mind. We have had Billionaire investors before who have never contributed a red cent to the club. I agree these could be exciting times but we need to be cautious until we see what the plan is for the future ( If we are ever told ) Also. obvious changes could be made quickly. I agree with Big Nev. we need a good clear out at Everton. Ring the changes should be the mantra. Start as we mean to go on.

I would just like to first of all Thank Farhad Moshiri for investing in this great Football Club of ours, and to welcome Him to The Royal Blue Family. One of the first situations which needs addressing, is to TELL John Stones and Romelu Lukaku that they are under contract to Everton Football Club, and they are not for sale at any price and therefore are going nowhere! Now Everton definitely do not need to sell and hopefully we can now shop at the top end of the market on a more regular basis to help us achieve regular European Football. preferably in the Champions League. It won't happen overnight but this team is under achieving and they know it. so it's time to start performing and get Everton Football Club back to where we belong. with "The Elite Teams". Hopefully Mr Moshiri and Bill Kenwright can work the oracle. COYB.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed003's Note - the thing is with all this and the thinking of being elitist and spending is there are only so many elite players to buy and too many elite (rich clubs now) so what will happen ?? }

29 Feb 2016 12:49:24
agree with ed003 to some extent. The Premier League is becoming the Billionaire got to have Toy of the moment.

29 Feb 2016 13:50:03
Well I'd welcome any investment. Don't care what's happening outside the club. We need investment and it can only help and will keep us competitive.

I think a top manager is a must for any team. Spurs obviously have one. Martinez? Time will tell.
