Coming home from the game tonight, gang talking of heitinga on loan to spurs, cannot see this, anybody heard anything, hope not? {Ed025's Note - Spurs fans are talking it up, but I think it's just rumour..

Believable0 Unbelievable7

Dont think so Jonny will probably cover RB till either Neville or Hibbert are fit. Not sure DM will risk Coleman at RB in the Prem yet

Doyle, Adam and the like are just a smokescreen for other targets. We are due a couple in but trying to second guess Moyes is nigh on impossible. Be patient.

Here here what a squad.trust moyes to add a couple more.how good is the young lad from are scottish feeder club

If neville and hibbo are both out on sat I'd like to see coleman play rb,that's the position he was originally bought to play, how attacking would that be,him one side and baines the other both overlapping, allthough I think moyes might play heitinga like he did at pompey a couple of years ago.

Coleman was amazing at RB tonight so I think Moyes will use him as emergency RB, what do you think ed?

ToffeeMike

Agree0 Disagree0

Coleman was good going forward but his defending was discrasful. He kept getting beat by cox the winger, if your a defender in the prem you cannot be getting destroyed by a crappy lower league player

Marallas looks awesome, Everton look so strong, I'm too excited about our season, no Fellaini no Gibson no pienaar apparently our most important players, Naismith buzzing around Marallas oozing class, even bloody Victor scores.

A cover for centre mid (Gibson) a replacement deep mid (neville) and sod the top 4 top 1 is looking feasible.

COYB, know your f-ing history, in Moyes we trust, in Osman Jesus walks, in Jelavic god scores goals and all the rest... Everton, everton, everton

Aye great idea when we could have had him for 6m about 3 months ago or whenever.

I reckon Jelavic will be play well until about November or so.

Then he'll drop off to scoring a goal evey 5 games like nearly every other striker the Bitters have had in the last decade have ended up doing. Seriously, you'll realise about March or thereabouts when they have a televised match Martin Tyler mentions that Jelavic has only scored twice in the league since Christmas.

They'd love it if we gave them £15m for him.

- Something Red -

Whats cheeky about 15m?

Hes not better than carroll, post good stuff or do one. that comment belongs on

Why wud jelavic got to a team on the slide

sorry but i have to post this went om there as i lie to see what other teams fans think but this has to be the funniest thing i have ever seen, carroll not fit to lace the boots of jelavic the rs real are some of the most unrealistic fans on this planet 15 million give me a brake

Unfortunately fellow Blues as we are constantly reminded every footballer has his price and although I dont think Fellaini will go.......it would not surprise me if there is any truth in the Chelsea Rumour. £35million is a lot of money and he always said he wanted to go to Chelsea, and his Father has always maintained that his son would play for Chelsea. Nothing surprises any more.

Guys, some help please. I'm ordering a couple of shirts on-line but wondered how the sizes come up. EG, I was XL (Mens) in the umbro shirts but only a Large in LCS. Any thoughts? BlueTone

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Go to your local sports shop and try on a Nike shirt should be the same size. BSM

Agree0 Disagree0

Nike's my favourite sports brand mate, I've been wearing it for years. My Nike shirts are all large as was my last LCS jersey so I guess they're the same sizes. Failing that, if you can't get to either of the club shops pop into your local sports shop and try on a Brazil or Barça shirt, Nike use a generic size system so that would give you a definitive answer.

All these striker rumours have got me thinking. Did we not sign Magaye as a striker? But as with many players, he has joined and is put out on the wing. I'd like to see him given game time as a CF/ST to see what we have before signing more strikers because I rate him and think he could be better than what we are linked with... I'm not totally convinced by him on the wing.

A little competition for all of us: What's the best and longest 'my mum's dad's mate' saying that we can make up without repeating part of it over and over again?.

I posted one in a reply to a post about an hour or so ago (scroll down a little to see it in the post) - but here's the one I made up in the reply earlier: ''My Sister's boyfriend's dad's brother's son's mate's mum's father's work mate's niece's friend's mum said...'' - it's not the longest (compared to some of yours probably anyway) - so what's your best one?

Hi all 1st time on here thanks to the eds, it's a great daily read. Has anyone looked into Rafa van der Vaart an how much he's going for? Lately people are saying we need a CM and none will do a better job than him. What ya reckon?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Out of the question im afraid spurs looking for 14m for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure Rafa v.d.vaart is the answer. Great player of course but we need back up for Gibson and Osman a little deeper in the park. This would be the perfect end to the transfer window in my opinion:

Ins.

Yoan Gouffran - FC Bordeaux - £1.5/2 million

Johnny Russel - Dundee United - £1/1.5 million

Steven Defour - FC Porto - £7.5/8 million
or
Lewis Holtby - FC Schalke 04 - £7/8 million

Matthew Kennedy - Kilmarnock - £250,000/£300,000

Outs.

Victor Anichebe - Not good enough with all the striking options we have at the moment, and wouldn't get a look in if we bought Gouffran and Russel as they can play there aswell.

Ross Barkley - A loan move could be very beneficial for him, because he's still very young, and he most likely won't be starting ahead of Felaini, Gibson, Osman and Holtby or Defour if we sign either of them.

Does anyone else think this would be good business?
Also, the values might not be totally correct. I got the values for Russel, Gouffran and Kennedy from rumours on here and the values for Holtby and Defour from the Transfermarkt website.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I'd happily settle for that. Recently, I'd have said not to loan Barkley out due to our depth-in-squad (22 senior players) - but if we do that - bring 3 or 4 more in - then we can afford to do that I think. However, I'd only loan Barkley out until January.

As for prices - they all look correct, possibly Holtby or Defour might be off but you'd have to ask Ed about that though.

Denial of what happens, in Moyes we trust.

Keith EFC.

Agree0 Disagree0

How many times have you actually seen them players? Gouffran has scored 50 odd goals in 200 odd appearances, Russell is just a fast McFadden, Defour is just a Charlie Adam, big fish small pond and all that. Holtby won't leave Schalke for Everton because he supports us and Kennedy is not going to make it in the EPL. The perfect end to the transfer window would include one player and one player only... Landon Timothy Donovan...

Peace out

GenuineToffee

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you say Kennedy is not going to make it in the Prem? You say 'How many times have actually seen Gouffran' but more to the point, how many times, if any, have you seen Kennedy. He's 17 and broke into the Kilmarnock team last year, scores goals often for Scotland (not senior but that doesn't matter) and is a very good prospect - saying he isn't going to make it just says Moyes doesn't know what he's doing. Everyone deserves a chance before they start getting crap from people like you.

Sorry for saying that Ed, but people like that who say that to the OP and then say something exactly the same about how a 17 year old won't make it (when he has no evidence why) just really annoy me.

Keith EFC. {Ed025's Note - It's a fair point kieth..

Ed a friend was at goodison earlier said a steward told him a 35m from cfc came in for Feli you heard anything
Jab EFC {Ed051's Note - Not yet I'm on it now

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Why would a steward get told that? Not doubting your information, because that would be unfair, just wondering if you think a steward would get that kind of information.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your friend is having you on then. 1) a steward wouldn't know any of that business - well, I don't think they would. And 2) It sounds like another 'My Sister's boyfriend's dad's brother's son's mate's mum's father's work mate's niece's friend's mum' stories. No offence to you or your mate as this could actually be true, it just sounds like a BS ometer story.

Agree0 Disagree0

So got to ask the question, If they did bid 35mil can we really turn it down? Personally Id be happy if we did turn it down but I could understand the decision if it was accepted.

ToffeeAL

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair point ToffeAL. I'd be annoyed so much if he got sold. But if we recieved an offer in excess of £35m I would understand it. The only way I wouldn't understand, and this is the one that would get me so angry, is if we sold him for £20m - give or take a million or so.

Apparently Lennon, Van der vaart and Parker are up for sale from spurs, would take Parker any day of the week, would probably get him for 5-6mil, he's just what we've been looking for, he is a fantastic player. Anyone else take him?
EFL

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Not for me, everytime

Agree0 Disagree0

Not for me, everytime I see him he just seems to throw himself at the ball. Heart of a lion maybe, but I don't think he offers much more.

And considering his age, wages and what he would cost I'd prefer to look elsewhere

Agree0 Disagree0

Although Parker is pushing 30+, he would be ideal for our midfield, put him alongside Gibson and those two would be brilliant in front of the defence, defensively Parker is very good and Gibson with his passing, perfect combination. However, given we would have to deal with Spurs, cant see us getting a good price

How many times was Kevin Mirallas' name on this site before it was on SSN? - erm....None

Some of the ITKs on here are an embarrassment.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Why is that! sugerplums.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a rumours site mate not SSN

Agree0 Disagree0

He was mentioned on here before SSN, the rumour had been reported by by other sites but he was still mentioned, and people said quite a lot of times that we had scouts at Olympiakos games.

Agree0 Disagree0

There was loads of posts, before SSN.......... :S

Agree0 Disagree0

It was mentioned a lot due to the fact that on the 'GOT' forums, a lad called 'DavidMoyes' posted it, then Daily Mail reported it, and Andy Lewis was at an Oly game. Plus people thought our scouts/coaches were at Oly games for Fetfatzidis, so Mirallas wasn't mentioned because everyone though his price would be too high

It has been a really exciting transfer window for Evertonians this summer,Moyes has had to beg and borrow the last few years but now we have a competitive first 11 and Moyes is still looking to add to our squad, If he can get the right players in before Friday night, I genuinely believe we will definitely be in Europe next season, what competition I do not know.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I got 20-1 for Everton to finish in top four and because of what has happened so far, got us at 100-1 each way for the title.
May sound completely daft but the difference between the so called top four and the next 4 or 5 has reduced considerably. More chance of those' top four ' dropping points to teams like Swansea and Liverpool now as well.

In an interview with 'kicker' (my guess is it's a magazine) he said that he is very much looking forward to playing Champions League football with Shalke this season; saying, and I quote: "I will stay at Shalke for at least 1 more year." Then when he was questioned about the EPL he replied that it has always been his dream to play in the Premiership and a few clubs have been chasing his signature. That's all.

Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels has confirmed talks are taking place with Everton regarding a deal for teenage forward Matthew Kennedy.

Everton have reportedly made a £250,000 bid for Kennedy, who has impressed during the opening games of the SPL season.

Shiels says the 17-year-old's head has been 'pickled' by the prospect of moving to Goodison Park, but has suggested Kennedy would be better off staying at Kilmarnock.

"The boy's head has been pickled with talk of Everton," said Shiels in the Daily Record.

"There are negotiations taking place at the top end of each club.

"I have spoken to Matty's father and told him what I think is the best thing for his son's career. A young lad's career is the most important thing here, not finances."

Charlie Adam was poor at Rangers, had one good season at Blackpool and was really poor for the RS. I would have probably wanted to see him in a blue shirt 12 months ago, but not now. Based on last seasons performance he's not good enough.

As for Rooney, he was average last season, shocking in the Euros and was poor at Goodison last Monday night. He looks half the player he was and has had too much football when he was younger - just look at Owen.

Nostrawigus

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I can understand the Adam part, but if you don't think Rooney could walk into this team, then you are having a laugh. Judging him on ONE game for England and ONE game for United, are you kidding me?

Rooney would walk into this team, how about you judge him over a season, I mean he still managed to bang in about 20 goals last season. He is world class, and with him in our side top 4 would be more or less guaranteed, screw it, with him in the team, i would be tempted to think league title.

Some people can't get that fact so enjoy it when he has a bad game, EG Monday night. Let's talk about the many games where he has ruled it. All the goals, assists. Going downhill I just saw? On what grounds? How do you even measure that let alone say that. Especially since he scored a load of goals last season! The Euros? Didn't see Jonny Heitinga perform too well there. Ive always thought that sometime in the future rooney would pull on the blue shirt of everton once again.but lets get real its probably never gonna happen we couldnt afford him.like most blues i was full of hate and venom when he left and then returned to play with the mancs.but when you think about it the 30 million we got for him was a good bit of business for us at that time we where never gonna build a team around him with players of the quality of gemmell, alexandersson etc.the lad moved on and won every domestic trophy to be won plus the champions league which he would never of done staying with us.like rooney moved on ive moved on i dont waste my time and energy screaming and shouting abuse at him anymore i admire the lad for the player hes become and for what hes won and knowing deep down the lad is still one of us..jc

Not a rumour this lads, met David Unsworth in Ormskirk today. Chatting to him, he thinks everyone at Everton is playing down how good they are, he was saying if we stay injury free and add a couple more players we'l comfortably get into top 4.
His only worry was us smashing it up the first half of the season and the "big sky 4" coming in for Fellaini and co in January.
