Bit strange that Pearce has left Jack Rodwell out of the team GB squad even though he is fully fit. They used Rodwell in all the campaigns and posters, there is even a big billboard near the stadium of Rodwell in the team GB kit !
Bit harsh on Beckham including him in the preliminary squad then not picking him especailly with him being over looked for Bellamy! Anyway not that bothered really just a bit confused

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Moyes told him not too bother as hes just got over his hanstring injury. we want him for the upcoming season. f#@k the GB team.............. pistol pete

Now im as eager for us to sign as the next fan but surely we must trust in our youth now, we have the potenial next golden generation already playing and coming through...... Rodwell, Barkley, Hope, Green, Garbutt, Duffy, i hear this Junior is looking good, not to mention Gueye may yet blossom... now i would love to see us make a marque signing or 2 (another striker and creative mid/winger) but if we dont then hang onto our stars and bring these stars of the future through......

BlueBunks

Believable9 Unbelievable1

We can't rely on our youth though Bunks because they're not fantastic players yet so if we continuously start them, they're going to drag us down the table and not take us up it

Agree0 Disagree0

There's a young lad in the youth, not much being banged around about him, but the management see amazing potential in him, Liverpool born, striker, he will, if we can keep hold of him, burst on the scene soon, young lads name is Long, look him up!

Anyone else think Naismith will actually end up on our bench? {Ed025's Note - who knows?....he may just surprise you..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

As a celtic and everton fan the only question i have about naysmith is his knee injuries. he can finish. I had doubts about jelavic and gibson cutting the mustard but they proved me wrong. i hope naysmith does too..........pistol pete

everton pulled off the biggest bargain of the season last year in jelavic now them might do it again if they get naismith on a free .great player and showed how well he can link up with jelavic ..good luck on the new season ...bigt(rangers fan ) {Ed025's Note - cheers big-t

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Edo25 wots the crack with the money still owed to the oldco for jelavic as they no longer exist. do we still have to pay concidering They havent paid rapid vienna for him yet...............pistol pete {Ed025's Note - im not sure pete, i think we got stiffed over the michael ball deal tears ago with rangers, the workings of football finance is not my bag to be honest..

Anichebe: 4.5m
Yobo: 1.5m

Believable1 Unbelievable13

We won't get moutinho for 14m and oxlade-chamberlain on loan

Agree0 Disagree0

Moutinho would also cost up to £25 million

ToffeeTony

Guys, I do understand that this was very ambitious of me. Sorry...

Warren

Agree0 Disagree0

Chamberlain? Why would Arsenal loan him out! Moutinho.......... 14 mill, I WISH

Agree0 Disagree0

So 14 mill on mouthino and no new right back? Also pienaar would cost at least double that
BlueClarkey

We don't need a right back, or at least a new right back won't be at the top of our shopping list Clarkey

i'm going to end the liverpool everton debatein goal Pepe or Howard: our Pepe every day of the week

right back: johnson over hibbert

cb Agger

cb Skrtel

lb: i think Baines is better but Enrique was the best left back in the world this year so Enrique

rm: Bellamy over osman

cm easily our Gerrard

cm: that manc Gibson

lm: Piennar the Hotspur guy

cf: Suarez the guy is class

st: Jelavic

i doubt you bitters will agree but it's fact {Ed025's Note - do you know what..im dreading these school holidays!...we are going to get bombarded by pot herbs like this every day!!!...i have only posted this to show you guys what i expect to put up with for the next 6 weeks..

Believable1 Unbelievable8

You're a clown mate, Merseyside FC would be:

GK: Pepe
RB: Hibbo
CB: Skrtel, Heitinga
LB: Baineso
RM: One of yours or Ossie
CM: Gerrard, Fellaini
LM: Pienaar
ST: Suarez, Jelavic.

tbh you lot think our players are sh*t and we think your players are sh*t but at the end of the day, both teams have some quality players and some not so quality players.

Dave {Ed025's Note - very fair that dave..and honest..

Agree0 Disagree0

Baines, fellaini and jelavic are better than all the deludes players put together, at least the kopites are good for a laugh ed

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - they are when its one or two bez...but when its 10 or 20, they get right on my tit..

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed I feel so sorry for you, painful how wrong they are..
Blue D {Ed025's Note - its delusions of grandeur D..

Agree0 Disagree0

Funny how he comes on our page and calls us bitters, liverpool fans are the most bitter fans ever they hate ANY other club doing anything, another teams signs a player then there crap - another team wins a trophy there lucky - another team spends money its what a waste of money. For years and years liverpool have spent a fortune trying to win the league but as soon as the likes of man city, chelsea and man u spend money they start MOANING these clubs are destroying football..As for me mate am not bitter i just hate your fans because you are deluded and you allways think the worlds against you, come back mate when you have proper fans and not your deluded muppets. Terry blue {Ed025's Note - never a truer word said terry..

Agree0 Disagree0

Did he seriously put Enrique was the best left back in the world? Oh to be a 10 year old deluded Liverpool supporter. Baines was easily the best LB in England, has been for the past two seasons easily. As for his "Suarez the guy is class" bit, He doesn't even provide on the pitch let alone off it. As said in my previous post a few bits back, Liverpool FC is the laughing stock of not only Merseyside but football as a whole. Bet the little turnip went running back to the r/s page with a right cheeky attitude like "hehehehe, just owned the bluenoses, respect me guv for I am your savior".

Hi Eds and fellow blues, I logged on with the intention of taking up this point given by Ed25. Infact I raised this issue earlier in response to Gandolph's re-appearance but the internet at work has some sort of filter and my point was lost in the ether.

However today I am home early and at leisure to air/share my views.

I have noticed that there is a number of anonomous his and run merchants that just post bland statements to see if they get a response, they are to be ignored the more we bite back just fuels their endeavour to post more inane drivel, those that respond cry for a source or other such verification, I too have succummed to this in the past but fellow blues I urge you to treat this banal nonesense with the contempt it deserves and ignore it, as Ed 25 points out the Kids have finished their exams and the devil makes work for idle hands and no doubt more of this type of post will appear.

I would hope that we as proud Evertonians do not even venture onto other clubs pages and in engage in similar activities, we are bigger than that.

If you have a rumour even if it was nextdoor's cat that told you let us know and be proud to be blue and sign in its quite painless.

Myself, The Bluenose family (afternoon Degs), The Wiz, Svenny and all the other regulars will welcome your views, you might even make the Banter Team; as we were refered to recently, Sorry Tris and Rizla almost forgot you two , and the anyone else I've forgotten.

So to weasle out the infiltrators and sh!t stirrers, sign in and make Eds life easier so that B0#0(Xs like the above can be binned by Ed or at least posted on the appropriate page.

Big C proud Blue COYB IMWT {Ed025's Note - oh, if only eveyone who came on here followed that ethos...cheers big c..

Agree0 Disagree0

Be a bit boring though ed,after all we all like a chuckle no offence big c,..but your a bit to serious

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree Big C.

ToffeeTony

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't bring myself to put Johnson in ANY team yet alone In place of our mighty HIBBO, didn't you see that clown "playing" for England.. Discrace!

J0hn80y {Ed025's Note - im not his biggest fan johnboy..but i thought he done ok at the euro,s..

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for signing in, I like talking about my team I like daft stuff, I have been known to post the odd joke, usually regarding the RS, but I constrain them to our pages, I have no interest in them or what's on their pages, I have never been on their pages, I will support JFT96 without reservation or hesitation, I will never buy the Scum rag that purports to be a newspaper, I respect Red Russ as he is fair in his views, I believe he is actually a closet blue, however asking people to sign in just makes the Eds job easier, and as says he only posted the top post to bring to our attention that more of that type of post just pollutes our pages. The ethos I suggest is not me being serious just irritated by unnecessary crap that doesn't even make me laugh.

Once again thanks for signing in

Big C

Agree0 Disagree0

Wat am trying to say big c were all different,I don't take the Outlandish post to heart they make me chuckle, some post you no are not true, but there not offending me,you take them with a pinch of salt,so I read all the post the good the bad and the ugly

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton fans are much better supporters - Liverpool fans joined for the reflectec glory and now can't handle the fact they're not getting what they signed up for - everton fans support whatever and are glad when we get some good bits tom cheer :) we're much nicer fans all round!
clozem

Agree0 Disagree0

If Enrique was the best left back in the world last year why did liverpool leave him on the bench for the last 5 games plus Baines is far better 6 goals , can take free kicks , penalties, and amazing crosses in when bombing down the wing ....enrique is fast that's about it

Agree0 Disagree0

Really good stuff Big C. Really really good mate. Well said Sir.

Agree0 Disagree0

Am suprised how many people even replied to the bin dipper

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Wiz, whoever it is still missed my point and again didn't sign in, I too enjoy the good, bad and ugly posts, but I want to read Evertonian good bad and ugly posts, not the true bitters who I feel are going to have to come to terms with their current status as just one of the rest, the top four will be from Manchester and north and west London, the rest of us the RS included will have to be our best all season to challenge them. However I digress my opinion on the RS is confined to here where fellow blues can agree, disagree or laugh at my point of view and come what may if they've had the courtesy to sign in and declare their colours I'll take that as it comes, we are all different with different point of views.
Once again Wiz cheers

Big C blue and proud COYB IMWT

Agree0 Disagree0

Can anyone tell me wat a bin dipper is,that's a new one to me {Ed025's Note - man utd fans call all scousers bin dippers...i believe it is a term that suggests we hunt in bins for food, as they see us as tramps..lol..

So Jordan Rhodes is back on the radar!.when you think he scored 40 goals in one season albeit in a lower division, quotes of 5 million are being banded a bout is,nt a bad price to pay especially as he is still only 21 yrs old. this kid seems to have everthing going for to make the grade in the top flight!..he repertoire of goals consist of headers goals scored with both feet, inside the six yard area, outside the eighteen yard box, hatricks galore!.. and appears to have all the physical attributes " tall and strong" So maybe, just maybe, he would worth a gamble as we could end up with another diamond! what do others think!.... johnmacfromfazak {Ed025's Note - in my opinion john..5m is too much for a club in our financial situation to gamble on a prospect, in an ideal world yes, at the moment..no.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

To be honest if Moyes and the scouting staff have run the rule over him and think he's got what it takes I would go for him. 5m may be our summer budget but by now we should trust Moyes not to waste what little money he is given.

Ed,just a quick question.Everton are supposedly waiting for confirmation that they can move for Naismith as they dont want to become embroiled in a legal battle, but SSN is today reporting that Stoke are close to signing Jamie Ness who just left Rangers with Naismith and they dont seem to be worried.Wouldnt Everton be better off if they just signed Naismith now to avoid him going to another club?
Cheers,Joe EFC {Ed025's Note - i think they would joe, but we will have to wait and see mate..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I think the problems may be that if you sign him on a freebie he will demand a higher wage as there is no transfer fee, if then a legal battle commences and we have got it wrong and have to pay a transfer fee out then we are paying the guy too much.

They will just be ensuring that they are solid from a legal perspective and don't get hammered on wages and a transfer fee.

This is only my theory

I am getting fed up of reading stuff about Rooney not being good enough it's not his fault he has carried the can for England pretty much since he left school the boy has had the nation hoping on him unfair also if he is not good enough then where does that leave us we would all agree he has been the best thing since gazza like all great national sides you have to have your best players where they can hurt us also none of the modern greats have done it at big tornements messi has not got that yet ronaldo had couple of good games at euros but he has not produced at that level yet van Persie was not even mentioned hard to believe when he has had the season of his life. Rooney needs youth around him now especially in midfield how can a 34 year old Italian run the show against parker and Gerrard and by the way that guy played twice as many games as Gerrard did so none of that exhausted rubbish if we don't have players that can have 60% pocession then play the prem way close down fast and get at them that's what Portugal done against Spain in firsts half and Spain's defence looked dodgy to say the least Whiltshire will be great for Rooney so fingers crossed he gets a full season under his belt as we need him badly

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Roll on the start of the season I say. England won't play any Everton lads so I find it difficult to give a s**t to be honest.

Wizard of Osman

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney's critics - including me - are just going on the evidence of our own eyes. He is certainly not the only culprit, and you make a good point about Gerrard's fitness, although he was still the only player to put quality crosses into the box. The point is all of our players are overrated in international terms. How people can still claim Ashley Cole is the best left back in the World is beyond me.

Bluewal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wiz as always spot on mate.

95% EFC - 5% England for me

I also think Bainesee was born three years too early, I think they are both pretty evenly matched but Cole will always get the nod because of his experience and favouritism and Managers not wanting to change a good thing, personally if I was manager I would have Bainesee every time.

Degsybluenose {Ed025's Note - i would too degsy..

Agree0 Disagree0

Me & you both, Wiz. I get a load of earache in the pub for not shouting for England, but I don't care. Everton are my team.
tbh, the England fans get on my nerves. You get the Man Utd fans cheering Gerard & the Analfield lot cheering Rooney! Set of hypocrites, the lot of them! Rant over!

To be a world class footballer these days you need to the body of an athlete just to perform! not the pie seller out goodison! having an arse like a sack a spuds , dos,ent help!.. and he,s only 26yrs old .... somethings not right!. {Ed025's Note - bit harsh that mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

ED, you are right, it was a bit harsh, but never the less it,s true, 10 minutes into the Italy game, he was dead on his feet! This can not be right for some body with his talent!..and age!. If he dos,nt realise this pretty soon, then maybe he won,t beheld in such high esteem in the future!..and he definitly overweight!...
