Use our rumours form to send us everton transfer rumours.

Hi ed mate, was just wondering with the transfer window being moved to the start of the season and the World Xup taking place, do you think English teams will find it difficult to sign the players they want?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - yes joe it always is, the prices will not only be inflated but agents wont want their players approached with such a lucrative comp going on, pre contract agreements would be the way to go but if we are replacing our manager it does not leave us much time mate..

01 Mar 2018 07:52:17
please don't say if ed let's just pray for ASAP.

{Ed025's Note - im spending a lot of time in church lately billy.. :)

01 Mar 2018 08:04:16
I've did more praying than a politician before an expenses audit ed.

{Ed025's Note - love it billy..

Dont shoot me down for a reliability but Everton That saying Fonseca will takeover at end of the season, they seem to get the team right each week and the signing of new players. If it's true then I think this a really ambitious move from the club and makes me as a fan really excited. Hopefully as whole fan base most will be excited too. Another manager like Howe with a philosophy, somethint that could be implemented through all levels. Might finally be able to put this season behind us.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - lets hope so joe..

28 Feb 2018 20:44:48
To be fair Joe, I heard the same myself this morning off an agent I know. He’s been pretty reliable in the past (Rooney, before even the papers/ news had it) and he told me that Fonseca will come in the summer.

Seen before Pierre, probably better sources than Jim White pal.

Let's hope the rumours on Fonseca are right. More importantly let's hope we move quickly and make the appointment as soon as possible. Just been reading Sam's comments in the Echo re Klassen. Trying every day in training but just not good enough - what sort of man management is that. nobody deserves that, especially someone who is supposedly putting the effort in. I was happy to see him come to Everton - now I am ashamed of the treatment he has been given.

This is the guy who has bossed games against some of the best teams in Europe.

45 appearances in the champs or europa league and 11 goals and he is deemed not good enough for a place on the bench in the prem.
its not even as though we have anyone else on the bench like him.

This just smacks of the Niasse debacle.
surely it is upto the coaching staff to prep him for the Premier league?

Agree1 Disagree0

01 Mar 2018 15:10:29
Luckily for Klassen he will not have to put up with Bovril after the summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Mar 2018 02:25:02
And yet we have Scheiderlin who gets kicked out of training, still gets picked and continues to display lack of effort and poor form. What the hell is up with our club?

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 19:57:49
Possibility that has been swirling around my noggin for a few days; Mr Moshiri bides his time until we get to the theoretical safety of 40+ points but because there is little improvement in tactics or style etc he fires Fat Sam before the summer and asks Rhino and Big Dunc to take the reins temporarily. Maybe it's just wishful thinking 👊😜😂.

Believable0 Unbelievable3

28 Feb 2018 20:19:06
Think he will leave Big Sam in charge till the summer then big changes afoot with Sam, players and backroom staff, Mr Moshiri will have seen enough of this.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 22:00:00
I agree GB, it wouldn't make sense to get rid mid season.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 22:06:33
As I said mate, wishful thinking. We have to trust Mr M does the right thing asap.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 23:08:44
Big H. It's not that I don't want it to happen. I just can't see it.
I'm just about at the point where I have no interest in watching away games anymore as we have no interest in winning them.
Big Sam will just go on contradicting himself and blaming the players. If he hasn't lost them yet he will have come the end of the season with his comments.
It has just become embarrassing.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 15:15:56
Hey Ed 025 what's your take on these reports that Big Sam wants to send Cesk Tosun back to Besiltas on loan as he doesn't feel he is good enough for the premiership, and that Mr Moshiri is now becoming increasingly unhappy with him for spending £27 million only not not to play him, also rumblings of disquiet about our present manager, surely if true it will result in Big Sam and others in getting the axe, if this is true I can see some big changes at Everton this summer in playing and back room staff, cheers mate.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im not sure how true them rumours are GB, but if it means us getting a new head coach then im prepared to believe anything mate..

28 Feb 2018 19:19:27
I now read that if we had Enrique he would command a fee of £317,000 per week the mind boggles eh mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 22:19:38
I read about the Tosun thing too GB but like the source I too think it's journalistic bs. If what Sam said is true then he should go back to where he came from as he's not good enough to manage in the PL 😜.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 23:11:42
Just pay him what he wants GB. If we can get a manager of that calibre and have ambition then pay him.
Sandro and Schneiderlin on 100 grand a week, sell them and get him in.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 16:49:10
Martin Dobson given Joe Royles job, maybe big Joe going to take temporary charge?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

28 Feb 2018 18:07:24
Big Joe left back in December I think Pierre, not sure if that coincided with SA bringing in his own staff or if he got a new job offer elsewhere.

28 Feb 2018 18:36:52
Ahh right ok. Thanks BlueSpud.

01 Mar 2018 16:58:18
No worries mate. Just had a look on the net and he left 4 days after SA came through the door, no real reason offered as far as I can see.

Marcel Brands name being banded about by the rags again, him and Fonesca would do me.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

28 Feb 2018 17:37:37
I got to be honest, I don't really know much about Fonseca. Looked him up on line and he doesn't seem to stay more than a season at places. Wouldn't we want someone who could GUARANTEE us a 5 year mission (results provided of course)

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 18:37:03
Anybody come to mind then mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 19:52:50
Sean Dyche. Building a club at Burnley. No reason why he can't build one at Everton.

28 Feb 2018 20:07:56
Whoever it is mate will have to be for the long term.

28 Feb 2018 12:14:58
Great idea for clawing back some of our transfer money, sell Sam to WBA for 6 million. I think they'd snap our hand off.

I think we are going to look back at this coming summer as a defining moment in Evertons history.
Mistakes have been made, lessons learnt.

Here's hoping Smit.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 18:23:11
Smit, I bloomin well hope so mate but not holding my breath. The term root and branch is often used in the same sentence as failure. In our case root and branch clearout is very very real indeed. Does Mr Moshri have the advisors around and behind him though that is the real question. We shall see.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 19:53:53
Moshiri is not a footballing man.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 11:16:26
Can't believe Walsh is still in a job after all the duds he has scouted and sanctioned to buy
Everton must have more money than since to keep paying him a wage.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im with you mate..

28 Feb 2018 11:58:18
Remember, he nearly tanked 30 mill on sissoko aswell.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 12:03:20
We have a lot of deadwood at the club mate, Moshiri needs to sort this out.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 12:07:33
I sort of understand where you're coming from, however, i'm not sure who is a bad player that he has scouted. All those that came in under his tenure from Gana onwards are good if not excellent footballers, that not one of us turned our noses at. However, they have played with very negative minded Managers whose man management is nothing short of appalling (RK + SA ) . For me they are players with the right Manager could be moulded into an excellent team, and I include the likes of Sandro and Klassen who have not had a look in but have certainly been so mis managed and still are being mis managed its unbelieveable.

28 Feb 2018 12:40:05
Good post Howie. I think we are writing some of them off too soon. Although I’m not sure how they are meant to improve without any game time. Hopefully that’ll change once we hit the magic 40.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 12:43:43
Spot on Howie, we have no idea how good or bad they are untill given a chance to show what they can do under the proper circumstances.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 13:28:48
I think we are judging too soon aswell. We bought a boat load of attacking players for 2 managers who don't play attacking football.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 10:49:18
Anyone else starting to think Mr Moshiri is away with the fairies?

Fonseca, Simeone and Enrique is his shortlist to replace SA in the summer. there ambition and then their is dreamland.

Surely the man should be getting better advise or is he just doing what he wants?

Believable1 Unbelievable4

28 Feb 2018 11:11:41
Lets see what happens before making any judgment. Mosiri is very ambitious and has made a lot of money from his businesses but is a little nieve when it comes to football matters. Hopefully he will get some good advice before choosing a manager and hopefully his money will convince someone good to take us on as a project.

Agree0 Disagree1

28 Feb 2018 12:33:22
who would have thought Newcastle would get rafa even tho he was on decline always better jobs available. if there no opening for them managers in the English league the next best team is us? fonseca wanted the move in November but shaktar blocked it so that's a serious candidate believe it or not the English league and money attracts big names this includes managers.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 12:41:45
Can you imagine if these weren’t on his shortlist. We’d all be roasting him right now.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 17:46:37
its the Premiership biggest league there is. Most top managers want to be here, and we are still the best of the rest with money to spend. Quite an attractive draw I would have thought.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 18:55:28
Top players and really good managers are going to crap league like China for stupid money so if moshiri offered simioni stupid money I seriously think that he would mull it over.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 08:44:37
Luis Enrique and Diego Simeone being discussed by Mr Moshiri to take over in the summer so a lot of the rags are saying, if only Carlsberg did football managers.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

28 Feb 2018 09:26:15
I think with the way we are playing results and our fans demanding Sam go papers are going to use this to get a story out.
The 3 names mentioned Fonseca, Simeone and Enrique being targets we have all heard pretty much before maybe Moshiri is doing work behind the scenes I think out if the 3 Fonseca is the most realistic.
Need to sort out what to do with Walsh aswell should be head scout and either scrap dof or find someone who is doing that job now and is competent at it.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 09:38:17
There's ambition and then there's being a fantasist. Fonseca remains our best bet, unless Shaktar progress further in the champs league and he gets an offer from a bigger club.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 09:42:29
The last time simeone got spoke about we ended up with big sam so the same story is being repeated so we will probs end up with hodgson. But if we did get him it would be a huge statment.

Agree0 Disagree1

28 Feb 2018 09:44:32
Probably just paper talk but i read that Fonseca is interested in the job and his contract ends this summer. Again its just what i read, so might just be todays chip shop wrapping.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 12:35:20
truth is there about the fonseca contract expiring this summer, and had it not been for shaktar blocking all attempts then he may well have been our manager in November, the fact he's shown no intent of signing means maybe we have already said to him and the agent listen contracts expires in the summer well have you. would not shock me to see a swift appointment even before the world cup begins to be honest.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Feb 2018 18:31:28
Dyche for me. The most realistic choice and a proper man-manager.
