Kieran Tierney would be the perfect successor for Baines and can cover other positions as well. if only we could get him. are you listening Mr Koeman and Mr Walsh.

Sorry Ed, my mistake these posts are coming thick and fast, struggling to keep up especially when some of them are stupid.

28 Aug 2017 23:37:20
Ha ha love how the mighty have fallen Liverpools only decent player is off and now they are scrambling in desperation to find a replacement yet nobody wants to go to this dying club that is declining fast another Andy Carroll moment coming i think. All the while we attract all the world class players sigurdsson is premier league signing of the summer.

Believable7 Unbelievable4

28 Aug 2017 23:56:46
Hate to say it but they look better shape than us at the moment.

Agree8 Disagree3

29 Aug 2017 00:47:22
how do they look in better shape poor v Watford and palace and Tranmere could beat arsenal their best player wants out and only bought 1 major signing in so again how do they look in better shape.

Agree2 Disagree4

29 Aug 2017 06:50:06
They will struggle, like they do every year, to beat teams in the bottom half. The players they have signed wonā€™t change that, nor will their targets. The arsenal debacle was more Arsenalā€™s issues than Liverpoolā€™s might.

Add euro games to their season and you have a team who will struggle to make top 4. They will probably drop down to Europa after group stages of CL and get knocked out in the semi final. But all will be about their new signing coming that summer who will win them the league.

Then they will thump someone at the start of the new season and then lose to whoever got promoted from the championship, and the whole thing will repeat itself. Genuinely the most boringly predictable team in the league. More boring than WBAs
40 points and done.

Agree2 Disagree1

29 Aug 2017 07:55:31
In fairness Liverpool are a quality side going forward they look very good on the counter attack it kills me to say it but I can't see us finishing above them this year. We are going to need time for Koeman to get his best 11 which at the moment he doesn't know plus we have injuries it won't be til after Christmas that we see the best of this squad.

I'd ignore what this guy says. We should really have a comedy page for people like this.

Agree1 Disagree2

29 Aug 2017 09:54:21
Liverpool are the same as last year great going forward, dodgy at the back, coutinho is not there best player Mane is, and when champions league kicks in they will go through a bad patch, you watch teams like Leicester beat them, you have to play against them a certain way and any team that defends well and offer a threat upto will beat them.

A question for the ed's.
Is it just us evertonians that seem to slate our own players all the time if they don't hit the high levels that we expect, such as rameriez.
Im really cheesed off that he is getting stick, I know he hasn't been what we all thought but he is young in a new league and in a strange country.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed003's Note - Some fans of all clubs seem to do it.}

28 Aug 2017 22:02:23
Drives me insane as well, a lot seem to have forgotten what it means to "support" quick reminder it's to agree with and give encouragement to someone or something because you want him, her, or it to succeed
Could you imagine going to work, having a bit of an off day and others around you telling how rubbish you are!
Let's start getting more positive and give our players a lift!

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Aug 2017 22:41:54
Ramirez has played 2 games! In a new midfield (both different in each game) and in a new league. He is just a youngster like Calvin Lewis. Give him the same time and respect (he is a better player from the looks of things)

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Aug 2017 23:31:07
Sandro has all the makings of a top forward in this division. He needs time to adjust to the set up.

He needs help up front and should not be expected to carry the team on his own. Against Chelsea he was left completely exposed by how we set up as a team.

Personally, I have every faith he will be an excellent player for us.

Agree2 Disagree0

28 Aug 2017 20:05:14
why do people always want to get one over on ed 2? the guy / girl gives us information for free and it's usually correct yet people still want to have a go, probably same people who want RK sacked and moshiri gone, i know every club has there fair share of tools but we seem to have more than most lately.

Believable8 Unbelievable4

28 Aug 2017 20:50:42
I know mate it annoys me aswell, even if we are signing Costa which I personally believe we are not the guy gives us info what he knows he doesn't know every single transfer but passes on what he gets told. Things can change in the transfer market in a matter of minutes I remember him getting stick on here when we signed Lukaku permanently but ed02 said it was unlikely due to interest from other clubs he can't always get everything right but gives info on what he knows at the time. I appreciate his time and info but I guess he will probably stay away from our site awhile and who could blame him remember when sky said Everton signed Sisoko and he was at spurs things can change in a matter of minutes but he knows a hell of a lot more than some of the idiots on twitter.

Agree4 Disagree3

28 Aug 2017 21:20:58
Yep ed002 gives some pretty good info which I am pretty sure he doesn't really have too. He may have opinions that not everyone agrees with but he is doing us a favour by providing us with info so if you don't like his comments just ignore them.

Agree3 Disagree1

28 Aug 2017 21:32:08
I hope people realise how much we appreciate the effort the eds put in, and I for one am on here every day reading the posts, don't need silly minded people writing silly pointless articles to get there backs up.

Agree3 Disagree0

28 Aug 2017 22:21:38
002 is rude to people and tries to put them down, he is out of order he is a bully and should not act this way. He may be right on something but there is a way of saying it instead of insulting people.
He makes Donald Trump look polite and tactfull.002 if you are the one reading this then all I can say is you should not think your to big to take advice.

Agree2 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - That is OK, I have deleted your account so you don't need be upset any longer. You inability to distinguish between honesty and rudeness is noted. I am sure there are plenty of web sites you can go visit where people will tell you all of the nonsense you want to hear - "Moshiri will be spending Ā£200M on transfer in every window". It makes far more sense that you go to those places which are in your comfort zone.

Don't come back.}

28 Aug 2017 21:32:15
Just the way i see it johny but i don't think people want to get one over ed002 at all. Its a rumours site and people hear rumours from all over the internet on sites like this and twitter. We tend to believe the ones we want and the ones that excite us. So we come on here to spread the rumour or look for clarification on that rumour. It is a rumour site afterall. Sometimes Ed002 can be blunt and rude and i can understand that when he is asked the same question repetitively. But earlier one of our readers suggested eating humble pie which i and i'm sure many others saw as a bit of tongue and cheek and meant as a joke. The original poster would have to let you know how he meant it. But i took it as a joke, the same way when we signed Lukaku i said something as a joke. But in both circumstances Ed002 took offence and insulted todays poster and myself. I am not a patient man so i would not be able to deal with repeating myself day in day out like he does without losing it occasionally as well but when it is a rumour site and people are asking about rumours they have heard, why should they be insulted. I appreciate the eds imput as much as any and was as annoyed as most a couple of weeks ago when one reader referred to Ed002 as a can**r to this site. I thought it was a horrible thing to say and couldn't believe it was allowed to be posted. But when readers are insulted by eds its human nature to retaliate and insult back. Sorry for the rant.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The "blunt and rude" is "honesty". The Everton fans are (not unlike the Liverpool fans) easily led and trust everything they read on Twitter. They are not interested in anything else and get all damp when it is eloquently explained it is wrong to them. They then become whining little bitches. They should stick to Twitter and get their rocks off over and over every day and not bother us here.}

28 Aug 2017 23:46:11
Everyone can have a difference of opinion and even be abrupt or whatever to each other. I've done it myself and have had to hold my hands up and apologise.

The Eds do a great job on here and is the reason we have somewhere to vent. I don't hold any grudges and I never thought the eds do either.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2017 01:20:18
well done ed handled perfectly
I don't always agree with the eds just as i don't always agree with some posters but its like a reccuring thing now across a few teams sites its like something gets said on Twitter and everyone goes haha eds wrong its pathetic i love this site and have been a reader/ user for many a year now and we have never had so many petty "fans" commenting as we do right now
sorry to rant so much lately just fed up of these so called fans moaning or trying to out "in the know". can't we all just support the team, appreciate this site and be happy.

Agree0 Disagree0

29 Aug 2017 00:57:49
I think all the Eds on here are awesome, what some may see as insulting i just find to be witty. Great job by all supplying great info and i admit i couldn't do it with the constant repetition and abuse. No other site comes close to rivalling this!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - the problem we have is most people just want to be told whatever they want to hear, rather than what is true. That is why clickbait sites make so much more money.}

28 Aug 2017 19:36:43
Brilliant ox chamberlain saying he wants to leave Arsenal because he is not playing enough, so he's going to Chelsea instead, if you can't play regularly for non champions league club how are you going to get a game in the champions team, judging by performance yesterday he wouldn't get a me in the championship, no wonder they say footballers are thick.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Aug 2017 19:28:43
Think we should chill on this Costa thing, great player but i for one don't want him, the guy disrupts other players, rubs people up the wrong way, he is a realability with baggage, move on blue boys, go with Vardy but not 40 mill.

Believable2 Unbelievable4

28 Aug 2017 19:53:22
Would you sell vardy for less than Ā£40m, I think we need to be realistic now with 3 days to go. Getting Vardy would need a huge sum given the time left to do a deal, same with Benteke, that's why Costa makes sense gives till January till look at other options while having a world class striker till then.

Agree0 Disagree2

28 Aug 2017 17:03:37
Ed you laughed at me when I brought up the why don't we have a go at a Costa loan deal a few weeks ago, saying why would Chelsea loan him out and why would he come to us.
Now I know nothing is done yet but what's your feeling on it now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - It was three days ago and I didn't laugh at you. What I did was explain that Chelsea has no incentive to loan Costa out as they want him sold. If they could sell him and have a guaranteed sale for January that is a different matter.}

I would be happy with 7 points from the first 5 games and we are on 4 with 2 games to go. So don't see what the fuss is about.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

28 Aug 2017 14:39:09
Easily pleased then. After all the hype and build up from the Club, Supporters and pundits alike, I would have thought our expectations/ potential/ actuality would be higher than 7 points.

Agree1 Disagree5

28 Aug 2017 15:21:41
They are by the people that matter our club is changing, personally I would settle for 7th and a trophy but 7th and not winning anything is not improvement regardless of European football this season.

Agree1 Disagree1

28 Aug 2017 11:12:00
Played three games in a week. Lost two of our main midfield players. Played another who isn't up to speed yet (not RK's fault) . And on top of it all had to play the Champions. What did you people expect?
Before the season started I thought we would do well to get six points from the first six games. We are still on course to do that.
I believe we will finish around seventh this year, and I would take that if it means we have won a cup (Euro preferably) . But we won't do both, top four and cup, not yet anyway.
So come on boys be realistic and support your team. I know I will.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

28 Aug 2017 10:14:28
Great to see Dowell playing football, I don't understand the people that didn't want him to go out on loan.
Realistically he was not going to get much game time and I for one would rather he play week in week out in champions this season, and then we can see if he is going to make it in the prem with us next season which I think he will, this will do him the world of good rather than getting the odd 15-20 mins with us.

Believable9 Unbelievable0

27 Aug 2017 22:22:39
Ed 25 can you think of any strikers who wwas haven't been linked with who you wouldn't mind and is realistic for us to get.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - its not worth me just throwing random names out there bretto, but its getting to the panic period now and clubs will not want to lose players at this stage for fear they wont replace them, it will take a massive bid now to get a top striker i feel but i still live in hope mate..

28 Aug 2017 09:21:35
Agree ed i still think we get striker in I think it might be someone we haven't been linked with hopefully they' will be good striker.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - its very much needed bretto..

28 Aug 2017 10:38:07
I worry about our width as well. Kev looks like he's going but we don't have anyone that can run at people with pace and get to the byline.

Lennon has done okay but we know he's not a consistent performer but Lookman doesn't have the experience yet and needs a loan move.

As for a striker I've not heard one name that I'm overjoyed at. Vardy at 40mil is excessive for a 30 year old that relies on pace. Costa is short term unless we can convince him Everton is better than Atletico which he wants to go to.

The guy from Benfica is a bench player they want 40ā‚¬ for and I have no clue what he's like.

Jose is one I would to have but I don't know if it's possible. He is aggressive and reminds me of Costa in some ways. I'd take him.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2017 14:05:56
Jose seems a much better option than Vardey, his pace makes him and (a) at 30 he will start to lose that part of his game, (b) vardey is not a target man who can hold the ball up, there is a guy Dos Base 6,5 lodes of goals don't know if we has shown an interest. ps spelling may be off, but sure ed 25 knows who I mean.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Aug 2017 10:48:53
Mirallas on his way out? Surely we wouldn't let another winger go ed without a replacement.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - im not his biggest fan jipster but i dont want anyone leaving unless there is someone to fill their boots mate, it would be suicide..

28 Aug 2017 09:39:20
A consistent version of Mirallas is what we need. He's just not reliable. When he's in the mood he's a joy to watch and very scary for opposing teams. But there just aren't enough of those days in a season. If we are to improve then so must he.

If he's having a strop to the point of not being ready for selection then that's one liability we can do without. If he left in the next few days then I'm afraid he won't be all that missed imo.

Although the position will need filling.

Agree1 Disagree0

28 Aug 2017 12:28:50
Not a lover of Mirallas but he is a good sub, we badly missed him against Chelsea.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Aug 2017 07:46:11
There won't be many teams come away from Chelsea with points. I think we have just been really unlucky to get Chelsea Man Utd spurs and Man City in a row. They are going to finish as the top 4 and any points against them are bonus.
Just important not to come out of it with no mementum as we have good fixtures after that where we will start as favourites.

RK talks the talk and can attract players. I don't think he has put a foot wrong at present. Kenny will get his chance and Dowell will come back a better player. i know the fixtures are not an excuse and RK isn't moaning but we have injuries on top of that - Coleman bollasie and Barkley would all be in match day squad - also think jmac would be playing ahead of besic.

Hopefully international break will freshen us up and we will be different team for next game.

Compare where we are now to 3 seasons ago - i couldn't be happier and am loving it!

Liverpool v Arsenal Match Review - A Liverpool Perspective

{Ed's Note - We have posted a new article entitled, Liverpool v Arsenal Match Review - A Liverpool Perspective

Believable0 Unbelievable0

28 Aug 2017 04:04:26
I'm really think that we already have the personnel to solve our current cb delemma. I would love to see Holgate play more at his natural position of cb and Kenny step in at rb. Martina and Holgate have been servicable at best, but I really think Kenny has all the tools needed to affect the game at rb. Not sure what I'm missing because RK doesn't seem to agree with this yet, but at some point I predict he'll figure it out. Hopefully sooner than later. Time will tell. I mean if Lookman can continue to see game time why not Kenny?

I was also really disappointed to see Dowell go out on loan. Especially because we are so thin at striker. Even Niasse could still play a role on the team as it stands today. I could see him effectively coming off the bench as an extra attacker when we're trailing in the game. Let's hope we sign a top striker before the window slams shut. I thought we should have gone in hard on Iheanacho.

Sandro was terrible today, but so was almost everyone else on the squad. I'm not sure if it was the injury or just a bad game or what. But I'm not down on him yet. What I've seen from him in other games still leads me to believe that he can be an effective striker in the PL.
