Barkley is a superb talent and will be fantastic given more first team time. In a few years the England squad will be full of products of the merseyside teams, as a city, Liverpool has a lot to be proud of. Maybe I will enjoy watching England again. {Ed025's Note - i like that mate...well done..

Agree0 Disagree0

He will be a star player ready to be launched on to the seen next season I think moyes will let him stay till end of season depending on our injury situation but I think it would be good for him playing 25+ games he has talent but needs to be away from limelight at least he can make and learn from his mistakes I think he needs to be a hazzard of Chelsea type player maybe moyes sees him as our 20million pound player he is talking about from what I have seen watching him for 14 years he is special that's for sure

Was really confident about tomorrow until I just seen the LiverPoo squad coming out of the aquatics centre I wonder what they were practising??

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Isn't fouling a player and then acting innocent as well as making diving gestures to the Ref also a form of cheating? Bet we'll see some of that tomorrow as well! Ged

Just a post in response to our Sheffield Wednesday fan who posted couple weeks ago about our boy Barkley and how crap and overrated he is I hope he is eating his words today as Barkley put on a master class sky reporter I think it was beagrie said the kid is a class act just hope he posts again soon

As a neutral, well kind of
(Rangers fan) I have noticed
Everton have poor record in
these derbies.
Have LFC got the indian sign
over you, or do some of
EFC players bottle it big
time in these games.
This year LFC are struggling
so surely Everton must win
especially at home.

Believable1 Unbelievable2

I didn't think there was a Rangers anymore that's how we got Naismith for free? What league are you in now and good luck for the future pal, we've had a few cracking players over the years from Rangers but manager wise we'll say nothing about Smith lol .

i certainly hope we play the way we can play tommorrow and give the rs a good hiding.there not as good as they and the echo think they are.listening to brenda talk youd think he invented football.alas though ive just got the feeling moyes will do what he usually does when playing the rs loose his bottle.ive still not and never will forgive him for the 3 nil defeat at anfield and the semi final defeat. when they equalised he stood in the technical area for 10 mins motionless like a rabbit caught in the headlights clueless.to see my kids come back to our coach after the semi heartbroken and in tears was hard to accept from a game we could of and should of won.jimmy

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Jimmy get over it am 43 been heartbroken b4 and will be again its only footy mate not life or death

mine maine road, wem 2 fa cups semi at wem, 5 0 by rush get over it

Agree0 Disagree0

I was over it ste. and ive been through all that and more what the other poster says.why them defeats where hard to accept for me is after the 2009 final defeat to chelsea i had to find my 15 year old lad who had stormed off the coach anyway i found him in tears i explained to him its not worth crying son if you think thats bad ive been here when weve been beat by liverpool.fast forward three years later we all pile down to wembley again thoroughly expecting us to beat one of the poorest rs sides for years i was that confident wed be making plans for the return trip and my son and daughters plus the wife would not have to face the same agony i felt in 86/89.but we all know what happened next, cue the tears from all above mentioned family once again hard to take ste.i blame moyes, for treating as i said one of the worse rs sides in years as though they where barcelona this is only my opinion but i do believe moyes has a mental fear of the rs and it filters through to the players on the day. jimmy

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree with Jimmy. To be beaten 3 times in one season by the shi*e is inexcusable.he didnt have a clue at anfield or at wembley. his record is absolutely dire against this shower.he better get it right today. MOYES YOU OWE US BIG TIME.

Good to see young Ross doing well today.

Nostrawigus {Ed025's Note - it is mate..

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Looks like Ross is finally hitting his straps at Wednesday, started off really quiet, but now, think with experience, getting to know his team-mates and consistent game time, he is really hitting his straps and confidence is sky high, which is great for Wednesday but more importantly, great for us. Hopefully he can continue the form he is in (that 2nd goal he scored was a beauty) and then come next season he will be ready to start for Everton.

Not been on in a while guys but i cant wait till the match. WHEN we win i will love going into work on Monday. One rs fan told me yesterday that Sterling would walk into our team. No response giving, didnt think it needed one.

When was the last time we had a convincing win against RS ?
We must be due a day when things go our way and the little things go in our favour. Wouldn't it be great if we won 3-0 it really would give us that boost to believe we can challenge top 4 and show we are the superior team on Merseyside and on the way up.

Robbie

Believable4 Unbelievable3

We're due a victory in a derby mate, by the law of averages at least, and a convincing one would be a bonus. Last RS manager to win his debut derby game was Queen Kenny in '85. Let's hope Brenda doesn't break his duck tomorrow.

I hate the derby matches, always have since I was a kid. The RS have got an Indian sign on us.
I've got a bad feeling again and they are starting to play better and we look like we may have lost a bit of form since the start of the season. With suspensions and injuries I'd take a draw now.

Sums up the two Liverpool fans I work with this........... One says to me today.. "You have no chance TODAY against us"
The other one said "Is the derby at Anfield or Goodison"
Can you imagine a blue getting the day wrong or not knowing if it was home or away.
By the way one is from London and the other is from Birmingham. {Ed025's Note - that says it all really..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Mate read through the posts below, someones already got the day wrong. Says it all really!

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe the reds aura and achievements means that people all over the world support them . i live in dublin and there are more liverpool fans here than any other team , the are big here as well im sorry to say but i would know maybe ten evertonians where as liverpool would have at least 80 thousand plus fans , maybe you think we dont count but most of us buy jerseys dvds tickets for matches etc etc and are just as passionate as ye , good luck today but we have a decent record against you , before you say it ive supported liverpool for 40 years and i do go to games when i can afford to .

I predict a Everton win tomorrow, Liverpool to have lots of the ball, not really create much and Everton to take the lead and defend easy to the end. Experienced class defenders like Jagielka and Distin will have Suarez in there back pocket

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Suarez doesn't do pockets!

Agree0 Disagree0

Unless Brenda has a Plan B I can only see one outcome, and that's a comfortable win for us

Moyes has asked Suarez not to ruin the derby by cheating. But we all know that is exactly what he will try and do this fixture nearly always produces a red card for some reason or another.I just hope mr Marennar check spelling; ....is not going to make a big mistake like Mr Atkinson did last year and ruin the game after 20 mins we need this referee to have a bit of cop on and referee the game and not the occasion. I just think it is a disgrace when a manager has to worry about an opposition player cheating his way to victory instead of the players ability to win the game honestly .Never will a fairer comment be made by a manager about Suarez than the comment Moyes made and he is 100 percent right in what he said well said Moysie Coyb imwt .Stef the blue {Ed025's Note - its a shame really...the guy is very talented stef...but also a serial cheat..

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Yes very true Ed25 the guy is a good player but as you say also a serial cheat he is a bad example for the kids growing up he should be a role model for the young footballers but instead he is the type of player you would tell your kid never to be like its a shame but at least our club has a reputation as being one of the most honest clubs in England something i am very proud off ;It is down to Rogers to sort that mentality out in his players but lets be honest he has not got the bottle to even try it he is only a puppet on a string over there i can not wait to see our lads give them a good whooping cause they will deserve no less .STEF THE BLUE

Suarez could be used as a role model to kids, see what happpens if you don't visit your dentist you end up looking like that!

Even if he wernt a cheat his attitude is a disgrace anyway, he got booked for decent on Thursday the rat. He crys about every last desicion, he must b stupid cos it isn't getting him anywhere and still moans like the misus

27 Oct 2012 16:15:02
If you guys are so sure you're gonna win why you so concerned with Suarez? Since SAF opened his gob Suarez has got nothing from the ref, and opposition players have been using this to full advantage...why worry? It doesn't matter what Suarez does, he will be hated for being good and playing for us. His confidence and cockiness is a real wind up for other teams supporters and I get that, but really all this 'cheating' stuff is really just jumping on a huge band wagon. All players dive and play act from time to time, including Suarez, but he is paying the price now because he can get kicked all over the pitch and get absolutely nothing. South American players do it because it is bred into them, encouraging others to make contact so you go down is considered a skill, different culture over here. Ronaldo was and still is exactly the same, only he got off lightly because he played for United. There are worse Players in the league for diving than Suarez, it's just that they don't play for LFC. And I'm surprised by Moyes' comments, I thought he had more class - maybe he is practising for when United come calling...I hope not, he is an excellent manager and he belongs with Everton. {Ed025's Note - the thing is mate...the guy is god damned CHEAT!! its the main part of his game!...i know some others dive as well, but come on!, he spends half the game rolling about on the floor...its a shame as well, as he is very talented, but dont try and defend him over this, i know you probably wear red tinted glasses, but even your biased lot can surely not defend him!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said E25 very well put .Stef the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Be honest and blunt. He's a despicable excuse for a human being. Cheats never prosper they say...except in derby matches.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Oct 2012 18:08:30
I think we can Ed, because your glasses are as tinted as ours...

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a big baby. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say he ruined the first derby last season for millions of people. The supporters pay hard-earned cash to go and watch a game of honest football and with that one childish act, he spoiled the game as a spectacle for everyone. He needs to grow up and stop going down like he's been shot. He has undoubted talent but he's got a reputation now as a cheat as opposed to being a role model for his footballing ability

Haha you lot wouldn't bang on about him half as much if u were scared of him and what he's gonna do to your defense! If Borini was prone to diving it wouldn't even be worth a mention! Makes me laugh...why do u think we don't bother talking trash about any of your players? Coz not one of them bothers us!

Agree0 Disagree0

Typical liverpool supporter: Suarez is a fallen angel, and everything is Fergy's fault, and there's a conspiracy to stop liverpool from winning the premier league masterminded by fergy and the fa.

And they still think they're the biggest club in merseyside

27 Oct 2012 21:14:05
Why don't you guys just wait until 3.15 tomorrow before trashing our club and players? You aren't half gonna sound silly if we end up beating you...and no, I've made no speculation on the result tomo...save the trash talk until you at least have something to back it up with

Agree0 Disagree0

RS ? Just had a quick gander at your page and you lot ain't trash talking ? It's there in black and white my friend so don't try claiming the moral high ground and get of that high horse of yours. Better still stay on it cos we'll knock you off it tomorrow

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Oct 2012 00:14:35
On the Liverpool page we have been discussing the match, and the vast majority think Liverpool will win, but I don't believe there have been many trashing your team and players...bearing in mind that every club has their people who know very little about football, the majority of us have actually been respectful towards EFC as we should be...I am just hoping for a good game, with no red cards, horrible injuries or dodgy ref decisions {Ed025's Note - i hope your right mate.....a good game would make my day, but in the end, the result is paramount...i hope, and think we will win, but if we dont, my next wish , is that you get relegated...im sorry, but i cant help myself..

Fair enough ed, cant say I'd feel the same if you guys were relegated, I'd actually be gutted. Not only would we miss out on the banter and competition between our sides, but I'd never want to see an honest hard working team that didn't deserve to be relegated play in the championship. I'd quite like to see merseyside rule the EPL

What has the 2010 World Cup got to do with anything? Your telling me that if Everton are winning 1-0 today and last min liverpool have an effort on goal, jelavic handles the ball, gets himself sent off and liverpool miss the pen and Everton end up winning, you are going to hate jelavic cos he's a cheat!! Hmmm for some reason, I think if that happened jelavic would go down as a hero, I think moyes has tony pulis syndrome cos moans about Suarez and diving but didn't jelavic and mirallas do exactly same against Wigan recently!!! {Ed025's Note - no...cos hes not a serial cheat!...unlike your horse faced tom daley impersonator..

There is a perception that the authorities favour Liverpool.

This was in todays daily mail. Its the bottom paragraph thats interesting...Anyone have any info on this, Over to you Ed..

The city council, for example, recently granted planning permission and imposed compulsory purchase orders so the redevelopment of Anfield could begin. Everton, meanwhile, saw their attempt to build a new stadium in Kirkby thrown out by the government in 2009.

Currently there are intentions to look at a site on nearby Stanley Park. There was a meeting with the council about it on Friday. {Ed025's Note - thats the first i have heard about it mate...but there is a definate bias towards liverpool where the city council is concerned...and dont get me started on the echo!..

Moyes will play safe for 60 mins and play I by ear I think.

Id have to go with Howard Hibbo Jags Distin Baines Naismith Fellaini Hitzlsperger Osman Mirallas Jelavic.Just my opinion gents,if we play Neville n Ossie centre mid wer fooked.Rob W

Agree0 Disagree0

Howard
Hibbert
Jags
Heitinga
Baines
Coleman
Neville
Fellaini
Osman
Naismith
Jelavic

I think this will be the team Hibbert all day long in a derby with coleman rm has played few derby games there and will give support to hibbo especially if Johnson playing lb with Sterling in front. Heitinga just beacause he will do a better job on suarez than distin(ie semi-final). Neville and Fellaini in middle for the physical battle, Osman on left to link up with Baines in pienarrs absence, toss up between Naismith/Mirralas but Naismith getting the nod with old firm experience with Mirralas coming on as a impact sub if needed. Thats what I think will be the team knowing what DM is like. But I would love to see us go for it like we have been all season with attacking football but with injuries/suspensions and it being a derby I think it will be cautious.
