so you were happy with 2nd half performance IT WAS AWFUL.we had a 2 goal cushion and blew it. there is nothing to be positive about mate.you thought taking gerry off was wrong decision AGRRED but wot about playing ozzie with no legs,playing stones in colemans position when coleman was fit to play but wot really p****d me off was they took ten minutes to try and fix barklys nose bleed when all they had to do was shove 2 bits of cotton wool up there and send him back onwe were down to ten men with time running out we needed every man on the feild why didint ross man up and say shove this up and let me back on the big girls blouse. To be fair, you boys were unlucky tonight.

Bad double deflection for the first goal, 2nd was obviously over the line before Sterling cross and 3rd, well Aguero is class, but bad defending by Stones.

Your biggest problem at the moment (bit like us without Coquelin) is nobody protecting your back 4.

If you had, for example Fernandinho doing what he did tonight for City, it could have been a different result.

Chin up Gents, bit of a weird team selection, but you were very unlucky.

Dags. fair play mate. but what yo talking about. we had 2 X holding midfielders out their. the fact is we can't defend, are not coached to defend and have a clueless manager that knows nowt about how to defend which was shown at Wigan when they got relegated and shipped 2-3 goals a game. time for him to be sacked. at any other big club with his management stats and record he would of been long gone. bye bye Spanish fraud!

I must admit I missed some of the game. Jumped in bath at 1-1, got out and it was 3-1, but from what I saw your 2 x holding mids were not as effective as Man CIty's 1 x holding mid (Fernandinho) .

I appreciate RM gets bad press on here, justifiably, but where was those 2 x holding MIDs when you was defending a 3-1 aggregate?

I appreciate you were without Mo Besic, who is immense and who would have offered you more defensive cover, but you can't legislate for 2 first goals, and indeed, the class of Aguero, albeit, Stones should have busted a gut to get in front of Aguero even before the ball was crossed in.

There's a reason we concede so many deflected shots. It's not just bad luck. We back off and allow teams to shoot. If we shot on site more often we'd reap the benefits. I know we were robbed tonight but to take Deulofeu off was criminal. To look on the bright side at least there's no chance they can beat us in the final. It's hard work being a blue can't take much more heartbreak.

A brave effort, some iffy refereeing decisions, but Aguero is quality, and we just weren't quite good enough to go through. Not sure where this leaves RM as manager.
Strangely, I don't feel as gutted by this defeat as I have been in the past - even the ball being out of play for their second goal didn't incense me. Maybe I'm just glad that we won't have the heartache of the dark side doing us yet again in the final :- (
Someone said that we're becoming an irrelevance - a midttable (or lower) side that doesn't challenge for trophies, but just develops young talent and is a feeder club for the Champions League sides.
Let's hope that the takeover is sorted out soon and that we can make progress on and off the field.

Got to agree. Even after the team selection I thought we were doing ok. Changes were made at the right time but possibly should have left del on. when we needed a good cross near the end we struggled. just don't seem to get the luck when we need it.

Gutted really am, but before everyone slates Bobby, my blame is more on the supposedly £50m man stones, got skinned for the second albeit it was out of play and then loses aguero for the third, the only critisim of Bobby tonight was starting with osman, we needed more pace for the defensive part of the game and he just hasn't got the legs, Lennon would've been a much better option but hay ho let's just hope the cup has blue and white ribbons on it after all.

The point is Safefc, no matter what happens, Wigan and now here this bloke just sails sublimely on, covered in teflon nothing seems to sick. We do not have high expectations but he himself said this is the best Squad we have had for years, so if the Squad is the best but the results are not happening then surely the finger has to be pointed at Management.

Maybe starting with a proper right back would have been better? If Seamus was fit enough to get on as sub then he should have started, RM too scared to drop Stones from the side imo. Second game on the bounce we have been chasing a game, one sub left so he brings on a defender? Criminal, the man hasn't got a clue. So yes, we can slate the spanish Rodgers. To be fair, Osman wasn't too bad in the game.

Didn't deserve to get to the final, end of. Didn't get much luck, but if you sit back against City for 90 minutes not going to win. The one thing I will take as a positive tonight was watching Robles kicking the ball long. Howard take note! How much longer as we realistically stick with RM? Time for a change surely.

The bloke is a nice man but just look at his track record and not only does he take Wigan down but he imports all of the back room staff and coaches that took them down and people are surprised. Tonight we were undone by a ball that was plainly out so there is a shout for video technology but that is not the point. This man said in September we can only see were we are come end of October, then he says we have a young team that needs time. Well no ambiguity whatsoever, if we hold onto this man we are a certainty for bottom half football.
