After his snub by Jose tonight, have a feeling Rooney will be heading to Goodison in the summer.

He would have gone to China 2 months ago when their window opened if that was the case, he will sign for Everton, he will want to prove he still can do a job and where better than in the Premier league, think it's nailed on for the Summer.

What's he got to prove and who to he's done it all?

It'll be proving he's still worth a regular starting line up in the PL. proving that he's better than what he's currently getting. Or else he might well have gone to China in January.

Have said it before I would welcome Wayne back at Goodison with open arms he would be fantastic with the lads and still a good footballer may it happen sooner than later, bring it on, GuernseyBlue.

To Jose, he will want to show he can still do it and better than a bench player.

so what we going to get one more season out of him. With that sort of money he could earn he's going to go.

What position is he going to play and for how long. I don't see Koeman as a short term view Manager.

{Ed025's Note - it would be a backward step for me BCT but if he does don the famous blue shirt again he will have my full support of course..

I think Rooney has matured into a fine footballer and is very professional. In his youth he was a bit of a loose cannon. He would certainly add to the quality of players we have. Whether he would be a little disruptive if not having a regular start would be my concern. I still think he has been written off a bit too early at Utd. A bit like Lukaku was at Chelsea when they let us have him. Ok not because of age but they obviously thought him not good enough at the time. Rooney is still fit. He is strong. His pace may have slowed a bit but he has always had that bit of special technique that can get him a goal, a good shot and the ability to pick up a pass and most of all be in the right place at the right time. Having him at Goodison would also be a good way of us attracting other players I feel. I remember Peter Beardsly signing for us and he had been written off. He had about 4 great seasons with us getting player of the year as well!

If we have solidified seventh position and have no chance of getting to sixth when we play Watford at home in our next to last game of the season it would be a great gesture to play the whole of the U21 team. They have done a magnificent job this year and it would be great for those players who will never play for the Everton first team to be able to tell their kids and grandchildren that they played once for the Everton first team. Also make Unsworth manager for the day. Nothing to lose and plenty to gain,
Mike.

Might just tip Watford fans over the edge if we played our reserves, especially with no trains back that night after the match.

{Ed002's Note - A nice big fine for Everton to play as well.}

I'm sure Rom would be happy missing opportunities when going for the golden boot!
I think you have really missed the professional responsibility of the club.

Worth the fine as far as I am concerned Ed. Hopefully we could play a few of the U21 team members without incurring a fine or pissing off the Watford fans.

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with the fans it is to do with the FA rules Mike.}

28 Apr 2017 14:36:56
I understand the FA rules and this will not happen but if it was possible wakka you would put Rom who will probably leave for a "better" club ahead of kids most of whom came through our academy and have given their all for the U21's and love and breath our club- Really? Good luck to Lukaku but my money is on the kids and hopefully some of them will be stars and play for us not some mega rich club.
For the record Rooney can go to China for all I care, don't want him near our club, if he had given us a few years more then that might be a different story but he couldn't wait to leave us. Once a blue always a blue my backside.

Shopping for a new goalie?, have a look at Baroka FC goalkeeper Oscarine Masuluke scoring an unbelievable overhead kick, now there's something special - the first attacking goalkeeper in our history! (bbc online)
