You guys make me laugh on here, why are you going on about the tactics we used against city, it nearly worked a treat if we would of attacked them they would of ripped us to pieces fact as spurs found out.
we employed same tactics last season against them had 2 shots and won the game. Moyes is top drawer manager and dont forget it, although i did feel before the match we needed to play drenthe as he would of gave us an outlet to take pressure of defence, well done boys we will be attacking liverpool though. My team to start sat will be:

Howard

Hibbert Jags Distin Baines

Rodwell Affro head

Coleman Drenthe

Barkley

Saha if fit

Believable1 Unbelievable0

That team would be great, any news on cahills injury ed? {Ed025's Note - its not too bad...just bruising...might be ok for saturday

Agree0 Disagree0

It will be interesting to see how barkley handles his first derby if moyes decides to use him.

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - he will do alright if selected...he seems to relish the pressure..

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see moyes throwing Barkley in for a derby. Latest news is that Cahill will be fine for saturday so i expect he will start but i think he will start behind Saha, who looked pretty sharp when he came on, if we attack liverpool we will win, there defense is awful, they have good attacking players, but distin could mark all of them what a beast that man is ! It was funny on saturday watching aguero trying to get past him and Distin held him off like he was fly, think aguero got his first "welcome to the prem" on saturday haha

Still think we are top six contenders, most of the pieces are there we just need to be bolder. Play Saha and Vellios from start swaping either or both for Cahill, Billy or Straq depending on situation. Plenty of options and goal between them plus midfield adding to attack. We can beat anyone especialy the s*@?e.... {Ed025's Note - if we play the right formation...we are as good, if not better than them!..

Moyes has took us from relegation battlers to regular top 6 contenders in his time at the club, it's only the last couple of years we've been unable to challenge for top 4 and that's through no fault of Moyes, it's simply because we don't have the money that the other clubs do, Bearing in mind, Moyes has made some cracking signings despite the financial situation at hand. It seems as though alot of blues are negative b**tards regarding Moyes but i really do think we would have been royally ****ed if the man hadn't saved us from Smith. The foundations at Everton are laid, it's just a matter of building up our squad, money or not, however long it takes. Moyes is the future at Everton and i, for one, would be gutted to ever see him go. {Ed025's Note - i dont want him to go...and yes the foundation is there, but now we need to put the right pegs, in the right holes!...

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Moyes is a legend, he will get the best out of all our players this season and i can see us finishing around 6th or 7th in the league and hopefully challenging for a cup {Ed025's Note - that would be great..i really hope your right..

The chelsea cup tie is certainly winnable. They didn't have many first team regulars against fulham in the side but they did have some very useful young players. They'll probably do the same against us.
I fancy us at goodison and we have a decent record against them recently {Ed025's Note - this tie is winnable...i would give vellios and gueye a game, as i believe our youngsters are better than theirs..

For me we a midfield on saturday of coleman, fellaini, rodwell and drenthe is far better than liverpool's 4 of henderson, adam, lucas and downing. Moyes says he plays 5 in midfield to over power opposition teams, for me our 4 against their 4 are stronger and should dominate them, leaving us to play 2 upfront. Doubt it will happen though and i can see moyes playing the same team of coleman, neville, rodwell, fellaini and osman, will be a shame because i think we will get beat if we sit back against liverpool because the forwards are dangerous but if we attack them they are dodgy in defence ! Come on moyes get some bottle and have faith in the team, we are strong enough to play 4 in midfield and 2 strikers .
When moyes first took over and for the first 5 years or so i could understand his 5 in midfield tactic but nowadays we are good enough to attack teams and beat them !!! Wish it would happen ! {Ed025's Note - dont we all!..

Believable2 Unbelievable0

We are all crying out for a 442 its bout time that moyes realises things need to change! But saying that i have no problem with 451 aslong as we ply with a proper striker and a midfield of coleman, felli, rodwell, barkley and drenthe, felli and rodders can tke turns protecting the back 4 while the rest support the attack!

Agree2 Disagree0

I would love moyes to be bold and start with drenthe, velios and saha in the derby. We proved against villa and wigan that good things happen when these players are on the pitch.

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - were singing from the same hymn-sheet bez...lets hope david joins the choir!..

Agree1 Disagree0

I think saha and velios could do a great job leading the line with the option of throwing big denis on as well. Surely moyes will get in another striker in january as well. {Ed025's Note - if he does...hes got to play him!, its no use having 4 strikers..if you set up 5-5-0!..

Agree1 Disagree0

Cant wait to play u lot on saturday with your 5-5-0 formation worst side ive saw for about 4 years easy, easy, easy {Ed025's Note - we will see....what you must remember, is that your lot are not up to much either!, in fact for the dosh you have spent..you are piss poor!, our situation is caused by a lack of finance, whereas yours is a total lack of ability, once upon a time you were a big club, but them days are long since gone, and im sure you will agree, you are just an average side who,s aim, is to finish top 6 or 7 with the likes of us, sunderland and stoke..sorry to burst your bubble, but im sure you know its the truth..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Liverpool are poor, if we go out and attack them we will win and overtake them in the table, i hope donkey carroll plays

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - yes they are poor bez...but if we sit back and defend, they will have a good chance of beating us!, for me we have got to put pressure on their lacklustre defense, that is their weakness, and we must exploit it!..

Agree0 Disagree0

Prediction for saturday ed?? I am going to go 2-1 to the blues.

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - 1-1 bez...i hate to sound negative, but thats the way i feel at the moment...but i hope your right!

Sorry lads you cant blame Webb for saturday you wont get anything playing like that worst EVERTON side i have ever seen.
BLUE MOON.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

I don't think anyone is trying to say Webb lost us the game. It's just a case of pointing out that his bias toward City was ridiculous. If I were a city fan I'd be saying the same thing... Yes, Everton were poor, but that's only due to the tac-ticks. The lads did very well considering what Moyes forced them to do!

Agree1 Disagree0

Hey BLUE MOON, it's taken £200 million to beat us. Spend another £500million and you might be able to give is a footballing lesson or two. {Ed025's Note - all man-s**tty have is money...no history, and no class..

Agree0 Disagree0

You might have a few quid but you still can't fill your charachterless bowl of a ground. Shameful gaps all over the place on Saturday. Blagmoon, not Bluemoon. (Wavertree 'Blue'!!) {Ed025's Note - well said wavo....they think cos they have got a few bob, they can talk down to other teams...well were not buying it blue goon...we are and always will be a bigger club than you!..

Believable0 Unbelievable3

Agree1 Disagree0

No no no no no. He's pants these days....... Shouldn't have said that.. He'll probably get a hat-trick against us now!

Barkley and Vellios are exciting prospects for me. Perhaps because I have only seen them for short spells and yet to see their faults. But both of them have played some great football when they have been on. Can't wait to see them develop.

Rodwell has restored my faith in him in the last few games. He doesn't look far off being able to boss the center of the park. If Liverpool start with Lucas and Adam in the derby I hope Fellaini and Rodwell dominate them, there's no reason why they shouldn't be able to.
