has anyone anything from little Rodger the Todger? {Ed025's Note - no mate, mind you, after their bore draw yesterday...i dont think any of them will have much to say..

Believable0 Unbelievable1

U dont hear anything from him if they dont win , he's been sulking all day in his the lads insane mate... this is how mad he is he sits in his on his red armchair watching the game in a full liverpool candy kit with a pair of shinnies on and his socks pulled over his knees , its his bird and his kids i feel sorry for he has them watching espn classic 24/7 waiting for some of the "good old days" all them years ago, its out of order on them they only wanna watch the disney channel and he's got them watching cricket matches from 1981 just incase they mention liverpool ..... chrisbyefc {Ed025's Note - thanks for the update chrisby mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

I go to school with him and he is banned from using the Internet because his mum and some of her friends had a Ann summers party and found him wearing all of her make up stockings suspenders her best high heels and earrings my mum was there and she went ballistic and told him to take that liverpool top off at once as she has never been so embarrassed! Strange boy that Rodger ! Stefc {Ed025's Note - strange is not the word ste..

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh what have i been missing while i was gone eh haha well chrisbyefc is right i have been stuck in the house sulking to be honest, the weekend started so well aswell, watching his face squirm as that norwich equaliser went in in the last minute was priceless.....oh i was sat next to him in the car listening to it on radio city by the way, typical bitter, rarely goes the game and goes on like hes part of the furniture at goodished!!
and ask chrisbyefc who got more efc questions right on the battle of the mersey game, that they do on the radio city pre match show......he wont be so boastful about that one i bet ya haha but fair enough like any bitter worth his salt,he got a few of the liverpool questions right ofcourse.....
but things got worse as the mighty reds were robbed yet again!! away to swansea with another outrageous offside decision, but once again the football quality and chances created was there for all to see, neat passing football, that the most of you bitters wont get to see at goodished, unless your sitting up in the top balcony where the ball spends most of its time over there with all those long hoofs yous like to play ......
its so funny to see the wheels have well and truly fallen off and yous are slowly sliding down towards where you belong......
its only gonna be a matter of time before the likes of your ever-stokes,west broms and west hams of this world come back to earth with a bump.....
p.s your right ste im sat here writin a letter out to father christmas as we speak, with my mummys stockings and suspenders on,asking for a delorian from back to the future for poor chrisbyefc, just to see if he can get back to 1985 cos thats all he ever goes on about ;)

A lot of people are knocking the attacking side of our game, but I see it more the defensive side, last season we where only behind United and City with goals conceded, this year we're 9th already for goals conceded......

Yes we're scoring more, only 4 teams have scored more but we're letting slip.....

I don't care if Jelly doesn't bag for the rest of the season, if we stay 4th best goal scorers, I'd be concerned if our goals against keep dropping....

Hey guys on Saturday we should have won. We were also without Gibson, Felli, Mirallas, Neville and Hibbo. That's 5 first team players. Thats half the team. Dont worry, as they all get back playing we will do more than alright. You would think we were 5th from bottom, not 5th from top the gloom and desponancy going around. Degsypulford

God Doctor, just wondering what your occupancy was. Are you an actual Doctor? If so can you check rodger the toder's head out? I mean there has to be something seriously wrong, at first I thought it was bitterness but now I think it a case closetblue syndrome. Terrible thing, infects your mind like a parasite, I think it must have an effect on his banter too! Just a wild guess because the guy just recycles the same old garbage every post.

i know this wouldnt happen but is it just me that would love to see darren bent come in in january due to the fact jelavic is do nothing up front or give vellios more game {Ed025's Note - not a big fan of bent myself...have faith in the jelly man, he will come good shortly..

Believable1 Unbelievable2

We've been saying he'll come good all year was he just a one season wonder?

Agree0 Disagree0

I really rate Bent but I doubt we could afford him.
Joe EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

For god sake, he has 5 goals this season and he is playing second fiddle to the big man, if he improves just a little he will be on 20 goals for the season, still bad hey??

Agree0 Disagree0

I think some of us are expecting Jelly to be top scorer in the league at present, a little bit unrealistic really. He has 5 goals so far which is not bad at all considering the way he has been playing. IMO both he and peanuts have been below par recently. Hopefully when peanuts hits a decent run of form then Jelly will profit as he did last season.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Nov 2012 17:38:09
in january i think a striker is needed badly! jelavic thinks he has a cemented place in the strating line up when i honestly think he doesnt deserve it! were a premier league side with a striker not performing! wee need a consistant striker with huge work efort! hate to say it but like suarez x_x and i cant see donovan fitting in with our team now? with naismith hitting form and mirallas on rm? i cant see it also think oviedo was class on staurday!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Last season we where putting crosses in to ONE striker (Jelly sort of ball) this season we're playing the passing game (Maybe this is where we're going wrong?)

Naismith, Felli and Mirrallas are playing behind him, making runs late, to get on the ball, by then Jelly is already 2 yards off the line so the ball is behind him.

Look at the goal he scored the other week, where Mirrallas played the through ball, Great goal because the ball was infront of him, not behind.

If you look at last season we where using the wings, this season we're using the middle more.

I could go into more detail but I don't have the time.

I have to say theses rumours about Jelavic & Mirallas are beginning to worry me. As it's now believed that there not even on speaking terms, and the rumour going around is that Jelavic is going to demand a transfer in January, it might explain why he's been of colour recently though hope it's not true. {Ed025's Note - people make too much of stories like this, they are professional sportsmen, even if they dont get on, it should not affect their performance..

Just calmed down after saturday , thats nine points stupidly dropped now , newcastle 2, fulham 2, reading 3,now Norwich 2 !Should be joint top ! The whole squad and management should really question themselves, we could see their goal coming and did absolutely nothing to prevent it After an hour we should have made changes . Ie . Hibbert on Heitinga off - Velios on any midfielder off as the ball was constantly being played long bypassing them .How much do we want it boys !!

We need to stop conceding goals from set pieces, that is 7 now this season from a free kick coming into the box, 2 from long balls from the back and 1 straight from a free kick all together that is 10 goals from high balls into the 18 yard box.
Heitinga is so bad at judging a high ball and Jagielka doesn't even challenge for a ball in the air and Howard is not a commanding goalkeeper for all his flexibility and reaction saves he doesn't command his area well.
It's annoying because even yesterday without our better players going forward and also with Pienaar and Jelavic out of form lately we still create chances game after game, it's just our defending that is letting us down.
I hope Hibbert and Gibson start on Wednesday because although they have been out a while it was bone injuries that kept them out so they could easily start the game and come off if need be, having them two in the side make us more solid defensivily and the likes of Pienaar, Baines, Osman and Fellaini can get on concentrating on attacking instead of being worried with what's behind them which they have been doing lately with the players that have been out.
Wouldn't expect Mirallas to start with him being out with a hamstring injury you have to be careful.

My line up for wednesday

Howard

Hibbert Jagielka Distin Baines

Naismith Gibson Osman Pienaar

Fellaini
Jelavic

If we start well and score first and defend properly we will win comfortably, been watching Arsenal lately and for all there flair players they are dis-organised and sloppy.
We must take advantage and start playing properly from the 1st minute to the last!!

Is it me or is watching Everton a bit like groundhog day every week. Another game that should have been put too bed first half. Lets hope we can get 3 points on Wednesday, I watched the Villa v Arsenal match and wasn't overly impressed with Arsenal.

Positives for the weekend, Baines again showed that he is the best left back in the league. Hitzl and Oviedo both played well and seem to fit in to our team.

Negatives, another goal conceded at the death robs us of 3 points and another game where we can't keep a clean sheet. Jelly and Pienaar seem to be off their games, which is frustrating as they were both excellent at the end of last season.

Felli back Wednesday, and hopefully Mirallas and Gibbo to come back in soon. Got some tougher games coming up in the next month, so we need to start putting all these chances away.

United must have knew Gibson had a problem whisch was likely to rule him out for some time.

If a deal was too good to be true, in most cases it usually is

Where is he? Still not on the bench Saturday!

Blu Bones

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He played an hour or so in the U21's last week and was supposed to have come through it unscathed. I think it's a case of Moyes being overly cautious as he realises how important he is to us and doesn't want to risk him against the 'lesser' teams. I have a feeling we may see him on Wednesday at some point.

Hi guys currently havin a discussion with a blue who feels it is in our best interest to actually get relegated, the parachute payments would keep us afloat but it would force tightass bill to drop his over inflated price and make us more attractive to investors. Go back to go forwards. Thoughts?
COYB78

Believable0 Unbelievable12

The most stupid suggestion I have ever read. When we did get relegated all of our star players would be snapped up by other clubs and we would then have to rebuild a team.

Christ guys should have said it was not me with this idea it was the guy i was arguing with. i totally agree its an insane idea but just wanted to find out if any people agreed or could at least see the logic behind it {Ed025's Note - no logic there mate..

Agree0 Disagree0

So we go down and get a parachute payment. Then all the better players leave as they won't stay in the Championship, then Kenwright sells the club for a knockdown price, then the new owner promises millions to rebuild the depleted squad, only no half decent player would even think about joining, so we play the reserves, more than likely getting relegated into league one. Then we sell them as they don't want to play in league one, so we play the kids, probably getting relegated to league two.

Sounds like great logic. Hope it happens, it could be the making of the club.

Mike {Ed025's Note - do i sense a little bit of sarcasm there mike?..

what do others reckon to Tim Howard?

He seems a good shot stopper sometimes but for a lot of our conceded goals he seems to do odd things - like funny star jumps or little hops when he should be diving/aiming at the ball - and he's often in two minds about what to do - I know he's a good keeper overall but you don't see other goalies doing these odd things - a lot of our conceded goals seem to be odd or daft ones

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Good keeper, should have done better with a few goals this season. Though I feel he's another (along with Pienaar and Jelavic) who's in the comfort zone, safely in the knowledge there's nobody in the squad with a legitimate claim to take their place. I know I feel much more comfortable with Howard in goal than Mucha. I believe Moyes has come out and acknowledged that we need someone to keep him on his toes and to keep performing on a consistent basis. Hopefully that will give him the kick up the arse he desperately needs at the moment.

Agree0 Disagree0

Over rated and never comes off his line. would love to see a new keeper come in. craig gordon, butland or even paul robinson at blackburn as i think he has improved a lot since leaving the england set up. howard costs us more points than he wins us and as done for a while

Agree0 Disagree0

Great flexibilty and reactions, poor commanding his area and coming for crosses. That sums him up

Agree0 Disagree0

At any level of football when a ball like that one on saturday comes your box the keeper should be screaming "keepers ball" and that in itself puts attacker players off. He had plenty of time to judge it and just stood rooted to the spot. he should have dealt with, punched it if he had to and the slightest touch against him may have even got us a free kick. These are basics. i wonder what they in training some times!

Is there any info on transfer targets ed?
Wee need another striker with a different style of play to jelly just to switch it if it's not working and another cm holtby or vadis any news on them two? Cheers

Eddy {Ed025's Note - not at the moment eddy, im sure there are discussions going on behind the scenes, but we wont get to hear about it until the deal is done mate..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Shane Long would be perfect for that, though I believe he'd be way out of our price range and west brom wouldn't want to sell for obvious reasons. Therefore our only realistic alternatives would be Vossen or Gouffran unless Davey has his eyes on others that we're not aware of yet.

Hey, not actually an Everton fan (Oxford United instead) but i have always had a soft spot for them; I just read the gossip column about Moyes looking for another goalie to challenge/replace Howard, just wondering what peoples thoughts are on Muslera, the Uruguay and Galatasary keeper. I have thought for a while that he is the most underrated goalie in the world, and if Everton want to seriously challenge for 4th place and therefore Europe, Howard needs replacing imo...Or you could buy Ryan Clarke, but i doubt he would want to leave the heights of League 2 to join you...
