If we cast our minds back 10 days or so (before all the stonsey crap) we were all in agreement we were a cb short for this coming season that means if we sell stones we need 2 more cb's which gives me a slight but very slight bit of confidence that we may hold firm add to the fact stones age his long contract his place in the England squad and the fact we all know he will be worth mega mega bucks in the next few yrs. Let's just hope bill shows his metal

Anyone think Henan or McAleny will make it into 1st team this season? Be great to see Henan get some time in pre season as he looks like a tidy attacking player and appears to love the club. McAleny is a bigger gamble, but he looks to have found a role that suits him and if he can be consistent, could be the solution to our No. 10 problems. Been at the club a while now, so it's surely make or break for him now. Bobby must be pleased with his progress though, otherwise why offer him a new contract?

Does anyone know the true facts over the money issue with Everton FC?
Where is the money?
Why are we so stagnant in the market?
Why are we showing ZERO intent?

It seems to me that the board peddle so much propaganda of us being in such a poverty stricken position so much so that the fans end up believing and come to the conclusion that it's true accepting that stance, I'm not having it to be honest, until I'm told otherwise I'm under the impression this board are rinsing the club for all its worth.

We don't want to see players being sold in order to fund transfers, it doesn't fool anyone!

We bid for Ogbonna and Payet but both went to West Ham. We apparently went for Dann too, so we are seeking, just not getting them over the line. and we do things privately unlike Moaninho who thinks he can use the press to get what he wants

26 Jul 2015 17:40:30
Excuse me but who are any of those 3 players? None resemble anything I'd call Everton players, the board could bid for Ronaldo, doesn't mean we're going to get him does it, all the board do is try to pacify the fans IMO

See another hamstring injury in training. Thinking of having a sweepstake as to how many we get this season. Two already and it's not even August.

Why are we saying buy this cb and that cb if stones go's. surely a club like ours should be bringing in these players anyway. I'm beginning to think the directors get a kick out of us being the butt of of trash media,,GET A GRIP EVERTON FC!!!

Why are most blues being so negative before a ball is kicked we have bought in two good signings and yes we need a couple more but we still have a really good team we have stones and Barkley two of Englands best talents we have Lukaku one of belguims top talents and Del boy one of of spains top talents along side that we have Jags Coleman Baines Mcarthy Osman ect so not sure why a lot of fans are already acting like we have already been relegated and before you say but they have all been buying players to strengthen I only want to buy if it improves our squad otherwise I would rather keep the money incase somebody who can do that becomes available IMWT COYB

thats the next test they keep coming out saying we don't have to sell so let's see them say no as much as I don't like Liverpoo when it comes to selling players they dig there heals in and only sell if it benefits themselves this is what we have to do the players are on long term contracts and if we don't want to let them go that's it end off

Johnnyday,
the problem is that team you mentioned wasn't good enough for a top 8 finnish last year.
All the teams that did finish above us have strengthened with players that have improved there squads but would of improved ours.
Osmans legs have gone and barkley is struggling (for what ever reason). Del boy is injured so won't be fit start of season. Lukaku blows hot & cold depending on his mood. So, looking at current prem squads the top 6 looks closed to us and Stoke, Swansea, Southampton, palace, Newcastle, West ham looking for 7th place!!
Scary isn't it?

It's good to be optimistic Johnny but our current squad were for the most part terrible last season and our two additions aren't great mate I mean cleverly is terrible and delefou blows hot and cold it's the performance against arsenal that's very worrying bud

I expected us to finish around 10th with us being in the Europa league history shows teams struggle for league form when in it and what's wrong with Leon Osman he has been a fantastic player for years and can still effect games when coming off the bench.
I wouldn't say Cleverly is terrible not the kind of player we all wanted but he now plays for us and he will get my full support basically these players will of learnt a lot last season along side Roberto so I hope we are challenging top 5 this season we have the squad to do it.

Europa league could have gone a lot worse for us in the PL. Fulham never recovered from their brief stint and got relegated the season after I think. Seriously doubt that would happen to us this season. The Arsenal friendly did show some worrying signs, but let's face it, the heat was tremendous, the squad is still finding fitness (much better / sooner than last year) and it was only a pre season game, where nobody wanted to go all out and possibly pick up an injury. Tactics have to get a major upgrade though. Remember when pre season games didn't usually matter? Add the words 'tournament' and 'cup' to the proceedings and suddenly everyone takes it a lot more seriously. It's 1st game of the season that truly counts. If we get battered by Watford, then we can officially start to worry, but until then, let's try to be calm as Hindu cows!

If stones is going I wish they would sort it now!
You tube van dijk - if he can replicate what he does north of the border well I will be happy - he looks a power house, like a jap stam
So squeeze 38mil from the rich cockneys
Pay barnsley there few mill then buy
Van dijk-10 m
Austin -15 m
Exiting cm -10m

We still should have a bit of transfer loot anway
And give our young players a chance

Van Dijk does look good spuds, but never trust YouTube for evidence of ability. Aiden McGeady looks like a world beater in the scant 3 mins of footage of him playing well across what must be about 10 years of games. Plus we don't need to sell anyone to buy van dijk, we need to prioritize a CB, but we do also need to budget for at least 2 other decent forward players. BK will keep Bobby's spending on a very tight leash this time around.

Austin good for me,
could be the new Andy Gray.(before SKY TV)
Don't know about this Dick Van Diijk bloke,
maybe he'd be better off in Mary Poppins.
Talking of Mary Poppins, I predict that Cleverley, Barry will start all games for Mr Bean this season.
Someone will have to shoot them to keep them out or better get Mr.Bean a SNIKKER.

Just booked the flights accommodation and tickets for myself my wife and four kids for the big mans testimonial does anyone know if the ticket money goes to Ferguson or a chosen charity of his as I'm over the moon to put my hard earned cash in his direction but as it seems the clubs ambition is only to have each board members rolls Royce serviced I didn't want Jon woods or Robert earl to spend my money on crackers for their clam chowder. just a joke can't wait to get over and cheer on one of my blues heroes COYB

I bought my little lad the new home top last week and I have to say its cheap and nasty. £50+ and the material feels like it will fall apart before the season reaches the half way point. Generally I've always been pretty happy with the merchandise I've purchased but not this time. It reflects the direction I feel the club is going in.

That's fair enough Pod, but surely if merchandise had any affect on a clubs fortunes in a season, then the dark side should by all rights have been relegated for their horrendous away kit last season!

Would just like to say this is the last season I renew my season ticket if we do not sign at least 2 players before we start r season at home to Watford!!! In fact if we don't sign 2 players permanently before we play Watford that is me for good I will never step foot in goodison ever again after being a season ticket holder for 45yrs and following them everywhere I have finally woke up and smelt the coffee my guess is we will eventually sign 1maybe 2 an a loan somewhere along the way toward the last seconds of transfer deadline day an I for one has had enough!!! By the way McCartney has signed a new contact but he got a 20k pay rise last season so I don't know if it's the same deal not sure but he has got a 30mil buyout clause in it in my opinion his agent was say Spurs was after him waiting for arsenal!! Take that how u like!! People will slag people will no that that is the truth!! Not bothered anymore disillusioned Everton fan with nothing to look forward too!!!!!!!!

Can you lot stop being so negative you have plenty of weeks and months ahead to do that, new season is not far away should be excited, yes I do think we need 2 or 3 players to come in but we already have a squad that should complete don't forget one problem last season brought was Europa league it was not the fact we had more games to play it's the disruption it brings like training pattern and flying to play Thursday and then back to play on a Sunday it's more disruptive than champions league as you get an extra day with that

We need
Centre half
Playmaker
Striker

Just see a rumour about Tom Dick and Harry sign-no-one. Why do we do it every year linked with everyone and then sign everyone @11.55 on deadline day. It makes me laugh. We can sign most players in the world due to TV money, and we have to bring in loans. We need 2 defenders. Wingers, and and goal scorer and why are we not getting rid of our dead wood. O yeah I forgot sorry I'm a nagative toffee. Financial fair play, we seem to be the only club complying to it. Stoke will finish higher than us this year. Fingers crossed for 31st August. God I'm so grumpy.
