Hi everton fans !
Just wishing u luck for Man United game !
Im an Arsenal fan but my grandad was a everton fan so ive got a soft spot for the toffee's !
By the way Arteta is a class act, wasn't sure about him at first because i noticed he had gone stale at everton and i thought his best days were behind him, but he gets confident and better each game, the last game against Stoke he was first class.
I think if everton had a fit striker who could get 15-20 goals you would be easily in the top 6.
Good luck for the rest of the season !!

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Arsenal are the classiest cockney club,i hope you guys climb the table, most evertonians wish arteta well.

Is it just me or does everyone at everton over rate Fellaini ??
Im not saying he is a bad player, he's good. Thats it GOOD.
I think everton is the right level for him and all the fuss and hype about him is way over the top !!
He's pretty slow, doesn't track player's in midfield, doesn't score much, doesn't make many assists and gives away a lot of fouls.
His good points is that WHEN he does play in his prefered position of defensive mid, he is disciplined to the position, win's the ball, plays simple passes and is good in the air, making him a threat in the box and good for defending from corners.
Apart from that he's not world class for me, and if he didn't sign a contract and we found someone to give us 15-20 million i'd bite there hand off and re-invest in a striker and creative mid !
what ur thoughts ed ? and fellow blues ? Am i the only one ?
He's a good player but thats it for me {Ed003's Note - Im with you mate,He is good but world class ?? }

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Agree that everton is the right level for him, i think he is better than just good though, i think he is a great defensive preimership midfielder.
If he was sold to say Man City or Chelsea it would highlight even more his negatives, everton is right for him.
As you said if some mug gave us 15-20 million for him i'd throw him there and buy a striker and creative mid defo

Agree5 Disagree0

Hard to disagree with them comments.
I think it's one of them with Fellaini, if we keep him then great if we don't i dont think many everton fans would be upset, get a good price and buy a striker for around 10 million.
I'd like him to stay but as both of the last comments say if someone was mad enough to believe the hype around him and give us 15-20 million let him go in a shot !!

Everton Team after January

Howard
Coleman Jagielka Distin Baines
Gueye Banega Fellaini Drenthe
Holtby
Saha

Bench... Mucha, Neville, Osman, Cahill, Stracqualursi, Vellios, Anichebe

OUT-
Bilyaletdinov
Heitinga
Rodwell

INS-
Holtby

+1 more striker on Permanent deal for when Stracqualursi loan finishes at the end of the season Drenthe will be bought permanently in the summer on a free due to his contract ending at Real Madrid when his loan ends.

Believable0 Unbelievable5

One thing i seem to notice there is that we only have 2 established cbs.. dont thing moyes will want to have the problem of relying on youth for such a important position.. we had problems with banegas visa and i dont recall him getting any recent international call ups so cant see that happening.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a pointless post, with absolute no facts behind it. Sorry but why would be selling Rodwell?? We want to hold on too our young players. If we are selling anyone than flog Bily, a Russian club will give us 5-7 million i reckon. One other point i like a lot of other evertonians wanted N'Zogbia in the summer, after his very lacklustre start to the season i am gad we didnt. Perhaps we could tempt David Silva in January instead! Ha ha

I hope Bily, Straq, Gueye and Barkley all get a run out against chelsea. I fancy us to sneak this 2-1 after extra time.Prediction ed? {Ed001's Note - I can't see Chelsea losing now, they will be fired up after the weekend sorry. 3-1 to them, though I am terrible at predictions so maybe I will swing it Everton's way by predicting a defeat ;o)}

I do prefer in-form Saha up front over anyone else in the squad, hope he really is in form now. I'm pretty happy as long as Vellios and Stracq get 15 minute run outs, they are still developing, and hopefully they deserve more in the end part of the season. I also hope the midfield sorts itself out. Drenthe is a beast but he leaves us a bit vulnerable.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Straq is 23/24, he is developed

Was anyone else a bit gutted about the Vellios performance? Lets face it, he wasn't that great. Most of us on here have been crying out for him to start for a long time and it's so frustrating that he didn't come up with the goods. Was Moyes right all along to use him as an impact sub? Does he need someone along-side him? (Probably). I really like the lad...I just hope his confidence hasn't been knocked by that game.
Better all round performance from the lads but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't sit back at 1-0 up...your asking for trouble. We nearly and should have payed the price on Sunday. Learn from it blues.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Don't worry Velios will come good. He put a header over the bar from a few feet away from goal. If he had jumped a few inches higher might have been a different result and we'd all be singing his praises. Point is he was there in the first place. different day and thats a goal and there will be other days!

Agree2 Disagree0

He's 19 give him a break! Give him some time he can only get better. Asking a 19 year too play up top in his own is asking a lot. Would use him as an impact sub, or in a front 2 with Louis. Cant wait till Saturday! Lets sing our hearts out blues
