Also, jelavic and mirallas have both said how they play well with each other and make them both a better player.............

Also, they can't speak the same language, so that would make an argument hard..............

If jelavic had fallen out with the team, don't you think it would be all over the news? Just think the press don't like everton anyway, so they would love that! It think it's just people making up stories because we aren't playing too good at the moment and just want to make things worse... I saw the spat with Baines, but they made up at a free kick... You going to get that in a team sport, can't always agree with what others do................

Couple of things, even though jelly isn't scoring as freely as we'd like he still has 5 this season leaving him joint 5th scorer and ive noticed at a few of the games that i have been too Moyes seems to be trying to turn him into a target man and he just isnt that player, he's sitting deeper and trying to head it and get a flick on whereas i think he is better at running off defenders nevertheless he is such a good player his form will return and I think he will get around 15-20 goals this season, also i really think we should have started with 2 strikers (vellios) against Norwich which brings me onto another point that i feel even though we have Jela and mirrallas who i would much rather have playing deeper and running at players i wouldn't yet like to see vellios leading the line if Jelavic were to get injured so if money is avaliable which i think it is then i would like to see a really solid centre back, I was thinking before and both Heitinga and distin are capable of making mistakes and i never feel completely cumfortable when there at the back, a new gk is vital to challenge howard not to replace, (doesnt have to be in any way expensive as a young keeper can be trained up and if working with Tim every week your going to be a very good keeper, also CM is needed, reliastically i think we can get 5th but personally would rather not have europa league, really not a fan of it, our squad isnt big enough to challenge, look at newcastle and how badly its effected them! 4th is doable but i think we will need to really start to punish teams more when we are piling on the pressure instead of getting just the one goal. I thought oviedo was fantastic yesterday our best player i'd say, and what has happened to pienaar?! think he needs to grow his dreds back...now! but if him form continues i would like to see this team;
Howard
hibbo Jags Heitinga Baines
gibbo
mirallas oviedo
fellaini
Jelavic
a team with age on its side and i think its a very attacking one and would make other teams think about what they are going to do to stop us, i know the likes of osman, nev arent there but i think that team would dominate most others, long post i know but just sharing my views with other blues, oh yeah and did anyone else see that baines said he doesnt feel that he can compete with cole for england due to the fact that cole is playing champions league..? may be nothing just something to think about,

Good, fair assessment imo, though your team has 10 players. Doubt we'd do any better with 10 than with a full complement

Hiya lads, well another shaky performances but I only ever look at the positives and the positive if you look at it is that we still weren't beaten, we have to be positive, we have key players out last 4 games but we have drew 2, won 1 and lost 1 so take that as a good sign, were not at our best lately but we are still in a great position getting closer to the 2nd half of the season (5th) only lost 2 games so far and we have Gibson, Mirallas and Fellaini back on Wednesday so we are in a good position to capitalize and get ourselves back in top 4 if we perform and get our better players back in the next 5-6 games we will be in good shape ready for the turn of the year!
Concerns at the minute and concerns that I have had for around 6 weeks now is that Pienaar is in poor form and it's lasting a long time, doesn't effect the games like he usually does. People saying there worried about Jelavic, I'm not he has 5 goals in 11 games this season and no matter what happens he is a pure finisher and will start scoring again soon.
Looking forward to Wednesday, if Pienaar turns up and Moyes starts Hibbert with Fellaini straight back in a night game at Goodison will be electric and I'm confident we can get the victory!
Impressed with Oviedo yesterday looks sharp and neat and tidy on the ball, another great buy from Moyes by the looks of it.

Don't usually do this but my prefered line up for Wednesday (I can't see Moyes starting Mirallas with it being a hamstring injury)

Howard

Hibbert Jagielka Distin Baines

Naismith Osman Gibson Pienaar

Fellaini
Jelavic

Sub bench should at last look decent aswell

Mucha
Heitinga
Coleman
Oviedo
Barkley
Mirallas
Vellios

I really think people are over reacting. What did people expect that we would win ever match, we are missing 4/5 first team players in fellaini, gibson, mirrallas, hibbert and neville. I would prefer to be having a bad run now rather than the run in.Also if we can add in january with maybe forren and ofoe that will really boost us. Keep the Faith

Believable2 Unbelievable0

We need a striker to either replace Jelavic(if the rumours are true) or help left some of the burden off him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think people are over-reacting and I'm certainly not naïve and stupid enough to think we'll win every game. But we should be beating teams like Norwich and Reading no matter who's injured or suspended. Taking 1 point from the 2 games simply isn't good enough. No disrespect to these teams, but man for man our team is easily better. I know football doesn't work like that otherwise it would be a predictable game. I remember someone posting we should be picking up 15-18 points out of our next 7 games. Well, we picked up 8 points out of a possible 21 in a not too difficult run of fixtures. I fear we will regret these results at the end of the season as we could have and should have taken a few more points from the 7.

has anyone else noticed that we cant defend set pieces at the moment sunderland, norwich, fulham, west brom, leeds, all scored from a set piece anyone else got anymore ?

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Look at my post from earlier. I said exactly the same....plus we are not scoring from set pieces either. Look at Man Utd. They hardly ever give goals from set pieces and score an amazing amount from them. Our outfield football is second to none. Its just the set pieces where we are going wrong.

Any Blues fans thinking the same?Fergie hinted in the papers on Saturday that he could retire next year,Utd linked with Baines & Fellaini,DM yet to sign a contract and touted as next Utd manager just me thinking out loud but can't help wondering if he is feathering the nest before moving on,hence not being made out to look the bad guy for poaching EFC's best player's. {Ed025's Note - i cant see him going to utd to be honest mate, they will be looking for a high profile manger with a european pedigree, moyes is a fine EPL manager, but lacks the experience in europe, which i think will be a pre-requisite of their next boss..

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Guardiola is utd s next manager

Agree0 Disagree0

Would David Moyes be tempted to become manager of Celtic? Just wondering, as stories are that the (some) Celtic fans have (amazingly considering the results against Barcelona) criticised Neil Lennon. Managing Celtic would certainly give DM the Champions League experience before eventually either returning to the EPL or managing a Europan club (both being Champions League clubs I'd imagine) and finishing off as Scotland manager. Unless EFC can provide the funds to deepen the squad with quality players, then I can see DM moving on to pastures new. He's worked wonders IMHO, but he surely wants to win something. Once a blue, always a blue.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Celtic is a realistic option for Moyes.
I think Lennon could be on his way soon and i really cant see where else Moyes could go if he thought he had taken us as far as he can.
He looks to me as if he may have had enough. i hope not.

People are getting on Jelavic's back and I understand why, but I think its a bit unreasonable. He's still the best striker we've had in a long time, and ultimately he's on the same amount of goals as Aguero, Berbatov, Hernandez, Defoe and Long this season.

You bitters are pathetic..Top 4 pmsfl {Ed025's Note - far better chance than your pathetic lot mate..have you got a copy of the league table?, if i were in your position, i would be keeping my big mouth firmly shut!!, i suggest you do the same..

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We aren't going to be far off, we rarely are, with 2 or 3 new recruits in January and our usual very strong finish I wouldn't rule it out just yet. The reds will be lucky to finish top 10

Haha another good draw for the reds :)

I'm just as frustrated as the next guy with our performances of late, but how can we criticise the players when we're not doing our job as supporters? Goodison was like a morgue yesterday. Actually get behind the lads.

Lads were 13 games and were at the right end of the table.I know we have tough games coming up fast if were 5or 6th with 20 games gone we have a great chance to push in the last 18 games for 4th and remeber last year when we beat city we went on the rampage getting great results so when we beat the gooners on wed that could be the spark that gets us firing again and one more thing where were we this time last year ..........exactly coyb Stef the blue.

Keep calm and carry on! Hey boys and girls...look at the stats of yesterdays game. It was a poor performance by us but we still had about 56% possession. 14 shots. 9 on target. We are 5th in league. When our usual good run starts we will be ok. Everyone seems to overlook the real problems. We are not scoring from set pieces whilst at the other end we are conceding from set pieces. Our outfield play has been fantastic. We need to go back to basics on the training field and tighten up on corners and free kicks whilst also creating some goals from exactly the same situations. Have we scored from a set piece since the Utd game? If we do this, we will get lots more points.

Ed 25 I can tell you what you will be writing next weekend ..If you told us that we were going to be 8th at the start of the season no one would of believed you lol..You are sinking faster than the titanic mate every week..the citys little club without a pot for 18 years. {Ed025's Note - if our blip continues...we could end up as low as liverpool, but with the quality we have in the side, that seems unlikely..
