Landon Donovan was another name i've heard creeping about also, i personally think it's unlikely because he claims to be happy in the USA, but are there any strong links between him an a possible reunion with Everton?

Thanks Ed. {Ed011's Note - He has stated he would only move to everton if he left Galaxy, he would sign for us in a heartbeat, but i have a feeling the 10 million price tag is putting Moyes off. Loan maybe???

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Maybe i'm wrong, but if i remember well, Donovan said everton is the only ENGLISH club where he would play. So he's still open to a move to a club in an other european country. .

Also, i cannot understand why it has not crossed David Moyes' mind to even consider Scott Parker as a possible transfer target. I understand he has desires coming from the emirates which maybe hard to compete with but Moyes has to think about central defensive midfield options due to Rodwell being an almost certainty to go and Fellaini attracting all sorts of attention from abroad (Madrid). {Ed011's Note - Even speaking as an evertonian i think it would be difficult to get Parker as a lot of clubs have been linked, it is more moyes style to pick up a younger player or a bargain. we tried to get him before he went to newcastle. Milner would be great as part of a rodwell swap deal.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

I agree, Milner would be an excellent addition and possibly much cheaper than one would once think considering he's had such a flop opening season with Manchester City, where he has spent most of his time on the bench. If Moyes could get his hands on him I am pretty confident he could bring him back to his top level like he once was at Villa. {Ed011's Note - I seem to be in the minority but i do think Milner is better than rodwell, we would get cash on a swap deal as well. There are rumours circling about Joey Barton as well. Great little player, would run through walls for us, but a bit erratic, but maybe we need to take some risks, i won't be happen with 7th again

Agree3 Disagree0

Barton is another player like Scott Parker, who acts like a terrier on the pitch. Plays with nothing but heart and gets 110% stuck into the ball. Either one of them would be a top class addition to any squad because they can fuel the whole pitch with energy and keep an extra hold on the back four to ensure it stays concrete game in game out. Although Barton maybe the younger out of the two, I do believe he will be available at a much more feasible price tag than parker despite the fact that west ham have been relegated.

Im sure Barton would love a return to his beloved city aswell. {Ed011's Note - I am sure moyes would keep him in order as well

Ed, can I get some information about the following players and whether the rumours for a possible move are infact true? Even if to a certain extent.

. Gervinho, Yannick Djalo, Peter Crouch, Jermaine Defoe, Fernando Gago.

Thanks. {Ed011's Note - I have heard all of those names linked, crouchy would give us a different dimension up front and he always get goals, The strongest linked out of that lot is possibly Djalo and Defoe. I keep hearing Owens name linked as well.

in a recent survey, it shows that 90% of everton fans that attend goodison park are welsh, the other 10% are away fans, in the same survey it also shows that 100% if everton fans are completely disillusional and are obsessed with Liverpool,

the same survey show 100% of everton fans wish there club was half as successful as their neighbours across the park. {Ed011's Note - I think it was the same survey that found 90% in Anfield our norwegian, it also said that 100% of LFC fans are desperately hanging on to their glory days, even though the last league title is a distant memory. It said that 100% of Everton fans think Liverpool are a bit of a joke, good luck in europe, hang on....

Believable3 Unbelievable0

When liverpool won the european cup in 2005 they came home to one of the biggest receptions a city has ever seen, according to the liverpool echo, around 300,000 people were in the city waiting for the cup to come home, somehow i doubt they were norwegians, so ed your facts are completely wrong, but i doubt youll print this, or maybe doctor the reply. {Ed011's Note - Its only banter mate, it pains me to see the manchester clubs doing so well, i would prefer mersey rule in football. I have a lot of LFC mates and i like the rivalry

Agree1 Disagree0

Well said Ed

Agree1 Disagree1

I agree they were not all Norwegians. there were from all over scandinavia as well as cockneys and Irish oh and some Afghans. {Ed011's Note - Nice one, we get on with the kopites most of the time, but it is enjoyable having a bit of banter with them. Would you ground share with them?

Fabio Borini on a free next season? He's no Luis Suarez like, but will definately get you out of your mid-table slump.

Ed, I was wondering how likely it is any of the following players will be coming into the club:
-Klose
-Seb Larsson
-Bothroyd
-Shane Long
Also, do you think Fellaini or Baines will go and if you think so, why? Because I'm not sure anymore Fellaini says he wants to stay but there are lots of rumours flying about that say Fellaini and Baines are going {Ed011's Note - All of those are likely targets, i have heard rumours about them all from various sources, i personally think that rodwell will be the only high profile exit this summer. Fellaini will probably leave everton, but not this summer. Defoe has been heavily linked as well. I think Baines will stay

Moyes wants to get behind the desk ASAP at Villa, so he can get his plans in place for next season.
Should be sorted over the weekend. {Ed011's Note - Change of plan, moyes to stay at everton and compete with Liverpool, shouldn't be too tough as anfield is a bit of a disaster zone

Believable3 Unbelievable4

I fear the Anfield disaster zone was at the start of last season ownership in disarray and a championship manager in charge we seriously missed our chance to get ahead of the red s*ite thanks Kenwright

Agree1 Disagree0

Why does it matter what is happening at anfield? concentrate on your own team, you may be in a better position for it. {Ed011's Note - We do concentrate on our own team, but when your neighbours are as embarrassing as Liverpool you can't help but laugh!!!

Squad will be built around the nucleus of Jags, Baines, Felli, Rodwell, Heitinga, Coleman, Osman, Gueye, Baxter, Beckford
Gringo

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Big question marks over baines felli and rodwell being there so take them out of your potential squad and wheres the quailty {Ed011's Note - I along with most evertonians believe that only 1 will leave, probably rodwell, who will then be replaced with a quality signing

Agree5 Disagree0

25 May 2011 06:56:17

As if bainesy would got to the red s**te his whole family are everton fans and bainesy himself is a mad evertonian. . more chance us signing messi than him going to liverpool

As a boy I supported. .
Liverpool. As a local lad I used to watch from the Kop when Robbie Fowler was making his name. I started out at Liverpool's Centre of Excellence and although it was disappointing when nothing came of it, I was lucky that both Wigan and Wolves wanted to sign me.
