Hey ed just a thought but do you think that ramsey would be available if so how much? I mean he's only young but doesn't really get much of a lookin at arsenal and is usually played out of position in a rw or lw position wouldn't mind him at everton think he could be a really good player, and playing alongside pienaar who I think will sign jelavic Fellaini baines has to sound tempting to everyone especially with regular first team action on the cards or of not to buy maybe a loan would arsenal do that do you think or am I way off?
Blue D {Ed025's Note - he would only be a squad player with us i think D

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Am I imagining this Ed or did Everton,United and Arsenal all agree a fee with Cardiff and he had the choice and went to Arsenal? Im sure it was Ramsey.
Joe EFC {Ed025's Note - not sure joe..

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm pretty sure you are right Joe EFC. I think we did agree a fee along with the other clubs.

Hi ed have you any idea how many season tickets we have sold {Ed024's Note - Not sure, but more than this time last year, as evertonians realise we could be in for a very good season

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Last time I checked it was over 21,000 !

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting fact for you all.. The season after we finished 4th we sold over 28,000 season tickets!

Not bad at all, hopefully this time next year we will be matching that total.. Maybe even this year :)

Toffee Jack

Agree0 Disagree0

A lot of them will be the £95 kids ones, brilliant idea that get em' in and hooked on the Blues!

what we need are free transfers. sone aluko, steven naismith, steven whittaker and manuel fernandes. we also need pienaar back. this is the line up i this we should have
howard
whittaker jags jonny baines

aluko fernandes feli pienaar

naismith jelly

subs: Balázs Megyeri, hibbo, duffy, junior, barkley, vellios, castaingos

What a team!!

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Hibbert is better than whittaker

Agree0 Disagree0

Just because hes free doesnt mean we need Whittaker,I prefer Hibbo tbh.
Joe EFC

Agree0 Disagree0

So gibson not even on the bench?.....grbefc {Ed025's Note - he would be a starter for me grb

Agree0 Disagree0

Wheres Gibson, Cahill, Hibbert, Distin, Osman and Coleman?

Agree0 Disagree0

Whittaker is gash, badly gash, so I would stick with Hibbo who had a decent season last season.

With that XI, for me you have got to include Gibson, we look much better with him in the team than without him (take a look at Wolves and Stoke games near the end of the season). I would push Fellaini up to attacking mid, Naismith on the right and slot Fernandes as a deep lying midfielder.

Just wondered why no one is looking at Sone Aluko? Hes also turbed down a contract with Rangers Newco and is a top quality winger! Free replacement for Pienaar?!

JG

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Look at some of his video's on youtube, I know its only in the SPL and yes even Jo looks good on youtube, but Aluko looks awesome, a less disruptive Drenthe, He'd be a bargain!
Toffeepidge

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like him as well as Naismith from Rangers.

we need sone aluko because of his skill and abillity. steven naismith and steven whittaker would also be good

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Are you Sone Aluko's agent ? Personally I don't think he is good enough for the Prem, which is why he left England in the first place.

Agree0 Disagree0

When the like of Charlton and a couple of mls teams are after him then i think that really does give an idea just how good he is, he's not good enough.

I have always thought Evertons main problem has been that we havnt had an out in out striker who scores goal galor for us an now we have jelavic as well so now we have one .... But the only way it think jelavic can get any better is if he has a paced partner and this is why I think we should definitely try and get Naismith and aluko from rangers ...... Also not alot of people might now but Naismith is very very good in the air aswell and scores alot of goals with his head alot like Cahill :)

Believable1 Unbelievable0

25 Jun 2012 14:54:16
is this whittaker from rangers any good?o

Believable1 Unbelievable1

No, he's the Scottish Tony Hibbert

Agree0 Disagree0

Tony Hibbert is a boss player for Everton, yes he may not be the best player in the world but he gives 100% every game and players like him are hard to get nowadays. Terry blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes but the point is you wouldn't pay money for him would you?

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with Terry. Not many people get past him.............

TC

Agree0 Disagree0

Naismith is the one we need as he is class, but whittaker is a good player as well and would be great on a free

Bez the blue

Agree0 Disagree0

Hibbo puts in some great crosses - he's not our weak point - that's right wing

Mcgregor and whittaker really? Just because they're free transfers does not mean we have to sign them! Rather have Hibbert over Whittaker any day and mcgregor isn't worth a w**k. Both bottom half of the table standard at most.

sunderland fan here would love to know why leighton baines wasnt one of those penalty takers last night he is by far the best penalty taker in england

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Probably because he doesn't play for Liverpool and isn't called Ashley.

Agree0 Disagree0

He was'nt on the pitch during the game u have to be playing to take 1

Agree0 Disagree0

IMO he should have brought Baineson before the end to take a penalty.
Joe EFC {Ed025's Note - good point joe..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we'd used all three subs by then - cos playing 4 4 2 meant we had severly knackered players - parker was gone - milner runs all over and was knackered - welbeck didn't do anything - half the team was just really poor - but yep - gotta have 5 pen specialists left on haven't you - ashley cole FFS - worst pen ever - and ashely young should never pull on the shirt again - he was completely rubbish

To me England had spirit but that was the only difference from world cup we are miles behind why does everyone keep saying we defended well as Italians could of scored 3 or 4 need to change the way we play and formation here is my team for next world cup obvious injuries could change that

Hart

K.Walker Cahill Jones/Smalling Baines

Rodwell

Wiltshire Gerrard

Rooney. Welbeck

Believable2 Unbelievable6

Sorry but Cole is the best left back in the world.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure playing with 10 men will improve the situation :P

ToffeeAL

Agree0 Disagree0

Gerrard is past it now never mind in 2 years time

Agree0 Disagree0

What exactly did Johnson - Terry - Lescott do wrong..?

They are the sole reason we didn't lose 4 nil in normal time.

Rodwell spends more time on the phsio's bench than he does the field.

Wiltshire is lightweight.

Need a stronger midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

I woulda took Sturridge over welbeck any day of the week. I also would of picked that goalie in the Mars advert over Andy Carroll lol ( the bloke thinks he can tackle! I coulda sworn he was ment to be a CF )

Dog Puke Peter

Agree0 Disagree0

Baines has been better than cole for a couple of seasons

Bez the blue {Ed025's Note - both good players bez, but for me, baines is more of an attacking threat..

Agree0 Disagree0

A. Cole best in world you having a laugh have a look at Lahm for Germany it was bad finishing why they did not score not cause of back 4 I have never seen a international defence get caught so many times with balls over the top 2nd division defending just have to face facts they are not good enough as for the post on wiltshire being lightweight we need to build our team around him he is the closest we have to a passing genius would not look out of place in Barcelona team

Agree0 Disagree0

I once made a bold prediction that wayne rooney would be in the England squad, by the time he turned 16-17 years old, this was when he was only 9yrs old. Now after watching Ross Barkley I predict he will be in the world cup squad 2014 and will be a major influance on how England will play there football in the future!..mark my words.

Agree0 Disagree0

No Terry is a class defender. Rubbish person but a top defender, we need change in midfield.

Hart
Walker Terry Lescott Cole

Rooney Wellbeck

How come England's 70k a week merchants can't do the basic skills like pass, trap, control, keep the ball?

Jeez - I wish I'd tried for pro footballer - these guys obviously just don't practice the basic tight close control skills - all of the italians, spanish, germans etc etc can do the close control work - and ours are hopeless at it - ours can't tackle! - as soon as our guys get the ball the opponent just runs up and takes it off them - and when they've got it, our guys don't go close to them - they stand off and watch - god, it was like watching everton at their poorest early last season - do you think it's too late for me at 44?

Clozem Downe

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Quick heads up for ye CD

The only people probably on 70k per week in that team last night are:

Glen J
Welbeck
Parker

Double your estimate at least for the rest mate.

Oh yeh it's never too late mate, Ive just turned 40 and still play like a pro, well at least for the first five minutes after that I am on the edge of death for 55 minutes (5 a side) and can't walk for three days.

Degsybluenose

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really bothered about England to be honest, they put a lot of effort in to be fair to them but it's scary how far away the national team is to the top teams.
It was pretty clear last night though the tactics were wrong he should of went 5 in midfield and put a midfielder on Pirlo who was walking around all game like it was a training match to him. Parker man marking him with maybe Gerrard and Young in centre mid with Rooney on his own upfront

Agree0 Disagree0

Too many of our top teams are made up of foreign players givining no opportunity for England to produce a good pool of talent obviuosly the rooneys and gerrards of this world will come through anyway but we are suffering from having the best and most affluent league in the world to watch Im hoping the new rules that require a certain amount of homegrown players have a positive affect.

Watching the match last night on BBC
They spent half the programme interviewing
Ashely Cole and how great he's been.
Well last night the whole team were out
played. If Mario had some compusure it
could have been a hatful. As for Rooney
he only has himself to blame he was not up
the match speed due to his suspension.

Rooney world class

My arse

Degsybluenose {Ed025's Note - exactly..

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Best youngster I have seen come from Everton without a doubt. Can't judge him on one game and you'd be lying if you didn't want him back

Agree0 Disagree0

Pirlo totally world class and 33 years old, why did Milan release him last year lol.

Degsybluenose

Agree0 Disagree0

Second poster - he was class when he was with us attacking people with no fear, WHEN was his last good game for England???? Portugal 2006

World class my butt

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont be bitter the lad is world class

Agree0 Disagree0

World class at what exactly ? It has been years since he worried international class defenders. In the Montenegro qualifier he got sent off because he can't cope with good man-marking. Against better defenders like the Italians he just looked woeful, as did all of the English attackers.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive seen him in world and euros he definetly isnt wqrld class that means he would be in the worlds best team there is no way he would getin a side with ronaldo messi van persi inesta not to mention south americans any one who thinks he would is a idiot

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is he not world class because he has not done it at world cup level nor as messi Rooney has done it at Champ league level can't help it he is in an awful side

Sorry to go on about rs boys but why is everyone sayin Gerrard is great this tournament to me he has been an average defensive midfielder and not even the nest defensive midfielder in the england team

Nessy {Ed025's Note - he has been good nessie...but very poor tonight..

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Hart, Gerrard and Terry were our players of the tournament to be fair. You can't deny that no matter how much we hate Gerrard!

Agree0 Disagree0

Being our best players in this tournament isn't saying much. Gerrard was our only creative source, but he did very little. In fact he looked knackered, despite not playing a full season. I think his best days are behind him.
