do any of the eds know anything or do they just follow what the press are saying because when the papers are saying nothing the eds are also saying nothing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - some of the eds have very good contacts or are connected at some clubs konehead, information gets circulated between us, but myself im not in the know by any means, i do talk to some well linked guys at the club from time to time but im hardly in the loop mate, now ED002 is a different kettle of fish..

24 Jul 2015 21:03:57
Ed025 just follows anywhere the wind blows. Only Ed002 is well informed, though his periodic hibernation is comical.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the thing is ten...i tell the truth mate, im not in the business of making up story,s....otherwise i would say that liverpool are a big club with a chance of competing for the title...but im not a liar either.. :)

Got to say as a blue through and through I never find myself going or even looking on the lfc site because I have no interest in what they do or don't do as it is of no concern to me. I therefore find the only comical thing is helmets that pretend to be genuine lfc fans coming on here trying to bait us blues into getting an argument. My guess is you are a lad about 17 who finds smoking weed and playing c.o.d then coming on here looking for an argument with no fabrication as an ideal Friday night. Most legit lfc fans grew out of that stage years ago and can actually have a proper debate, you my friend are just a plastic supporter whos only friend is your hairy palm. Do yourself a favour go and actually educate yourself that's if you can read and then come back and have some actual real banter because your small club jibes are older than you. Finally is your post name ten over ten because you only know how to count fingers and toes? Then again inbreds probably have 11 toes.

Does anyone know if Martinez was a late mover in the transfer window before his move to Everton? Just interested to know if he usually leaves it all to deadline day (e.g. Harry Redknapp or the guy with the dildo outside the Britannia)?

Question for the blue scientists out there.
If this new planet that's been found is 27 million light years away.
How long would it take for a manned craft to land on it?
Second question, will we have signed anybody by then?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

24 Jul 2015 15:43:13
Travelling at the speed of light Mush which is appx 120,000 miles per second we would reach it in 27 million years, we will probably have a few signings by then but I guarantee we don't have a rich investor

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Without trying to be pedantic - more trying to be a smart ar$e as me and Ed003 are keen amateur astronomers - but a light year is, by its own definition, the distance travelled by light in a year. So it takes a year travelling at the speed of light to cover a light year.
The speed of light is 186,282.397 miles per second (671 million miles per hour) and Kepler-452b is 1,400 light years away.
And unless there's an alien oligrach who likes blue waiting there I don't think Everton will find a rich investor either :)

24 Jul 2015 16:36:03
The answer to the first question if my understanding is correct is quite simple. The light-year is a measure of distance, not time. It is the total distance that a beam of light, moving in a straight line, travels in one year. To obtain an idea of the size of a light-year, take the circumference of the earth (24,900 miles), lay it out in a straight line, multiply the length of the line by 7.5 (the corresponding distance is one light-second), then place 31.6 million similar lines end to end. The resulting distance is almost 6 trillion (6,000,000,000,000) mile. The answer would therefore be to multiply the above equation by 27 million.

Sorry I just can't get my head round your second question!

After my first post this week I have continued thinking about how EFC will be able to progress both on the pitch and off it(EFC really does take over your life).

Over the last 20 years I have always heard us being called a 'Sleeping Giant', but are we any more? Are we passed that stage? Are we now a part of the also rans of the Premier League?

I just wanted some opinions from other supporters to see where you believe Everton FC is in the food chain of the Premier League.

I know for sure that as Everton Fc supporters we will all be there on the first day of the season screaming, shouting and singing for our team to rediscover what I believe we have always have been.

Thoughts?

The reality is that Martinez methods will stabilise us but in the bottom halfish. The guy appears to think that success is struggle all season and then inject a boost in order to appear a successful side by escaping relegation to finish round about the middle of the Prem. Stand by for more excited, phenomenal, fantastic statements from our Manager.

Everton have always been also-rans. Never a big club. A small club with little or no success in their history. Only the deluded fans think otherwise.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - the same Everton that are one of the most successful clubs in England?}

24 Jul 2015 16:10:11
For you to say no success, means we have Never won anything.on that basis I think you should keep the garbage that comes out your mouth to a minimum, and go back to watching the cricket or golf, cos you know nowt about football son.

Man City is a perfect example of what a bit of success, stadium and money can do for your club.

It's been 7 years and let's face it they don't half of the history we have.

So the answer is money, stadium and trophies could make us as big as the rest again.

Meanwhile.

It looks like TenoverTen has been allowed to drink a few shandies by his mum today, it was the last day of school after all.
Let me give you a quick education, we have a good history and we have been successful over the years. 4th most successful team in this country. We have won pretty much everything there is to win trophy wise, bar the league cup (Mickey Mouse cup right?) and the European cup (let's not open that bag of worms) so that is quite successful wouldn't you agree? Sure, the last 20 odd years haven't been kind but we have suffered at the hands of various owners since the Moore's family relinquished control. Therefore, we have been hampered by financial restrictions for some time yet we continue to play our football in the top flight. We haven't sold our soul to the devil for a quick quid like others, some have even done that twice, and we are a well run family club. There is plenty more I could say but I'm quite happy and proud. As for always being in Liverpool's shadow, you do realise that that club is our bastard child don't you? If you're going to troll another teams banter page, at least use decent banter. Your efforts have been quite lame so far
